I’d like them to give the juggernaut special more bonus vitality and toughness…akin to the necro-transformations. Maybe more damage on the auto attack as well.
The cooldown on the banner ulti is way too long and the ability is a copy paste aoe version of the signet ulti…would rather something other than pure stats as a third ulti
Hammer needs something to counter its slow swing speed. Its very hard to use, maybe make the auto attack daze with the final blow being a .5 sec stun
This class has no protection, stealth or frequent access to regeneration ticks/healing outside of 30 pt banners/ shouts. I suggest we consider buffing the healing spells by reducing their cds and nerfing other aspects of them to compensate
My suggestions to help the class sustainability:
Mending cooldown reduced to 15 seconds
Mending removes now only removes 1 condition
Healing surge cooldown reduced to 20 seconds
Healing surge now only grants 2 bars of adrenaline
Healing signet periodic healing now 2.5 times stronger
Healing signet on demand heal remains the same

I just came out of a tourny game where we gave up majority of map buffs to the enemy and lost. My party immediately blamed our loss on our comp having 2 thieves. I asked why, they said " i don’t know but its usually the reason" .
Thieves offer easy stomps, spike dmg and great roaming. Thieves imo are one of the stronger classes. Yet people consistently blame losses on the group composition having 2 thieves.
Why is this? I get that thieves can’t bunker bases, but I don’t see most people hold bases down all game long unless the specifically build for that task.
5v4 happens all the time, every day. It needs to be fixed
Im fine with it either way. I guess this way I do less work for the laurel…so no reason to complain

RIght now warriors are the highest damage dealers with plenty of access to the fury ,might and stability boons. Warriors have short duration knock downs, banners which offer buffs that stack on top of boons and shouts that support allies. The warrior signature is burst finishers. Adrenaline builds up over the fight and the warrior can spend it to unleash an above avg power move or hold it and gain traited benefits.
The Warrior lacks defensive capability other than a long cooldown endure pain skill and a handful of single attack duration blocks spread across a few weapons.
Lack of protection, stealth or great healing leaves the warrior very vulnerable in both group fights and 1v1 brawls.
All this considered, i’d say arena net has built the war to be a glass cannon dps offensive buff machine.
Warriors need something to keep them alive under pressure. Maybe buff the healing.
Wars class defining ability has no defensive upside. Burst attacks just don’t offer the defensive potential of stealth, protection spam, life force and other abilities baked into most other classes
When everyone else defends up via a class defining ability, warriors have a handful of blocks tied to specific weapons and 4 second endure pain
I wouldn’t mind a slightly shorter cooldown OR a slightly longer knockdown effect
Dont forget they also want you to have the highest burst. Highest mobility and highest burst, an innovative and often successful design.
Warrior burst is higher, just harder to pull off.
thief and engi pistols and warrior rifle all have 1/2 their auto attack dmg split between condition and power. Why is this?
This was probably already asked, but why not use the pvp carrion amulet for condition, power and vitality. The build uses alot of confusion condition dmg
i experience lag spikes in spvp frequently
arena net makes changes every month. over at wow you have to wait 3-5 months for a major patch to receive serious change
Rank points are the sole goal of PvP just like loot is the sole goal of PvE. Take away loot and no one will play PvE any more. Take away rank points and PvP becomes meaningless.
Rank 35 here: I just play pvp for the fun of it. Rank pts, dyes, laurels and gear unlocks are just gravy to me
I think its reasonable to assume the devs are looking into both BM rangers and phantasm mesmers

10 sec cd 2 sec evade with decent damage
Strong, spammable and a great addition to the mesmers powerful toolkit

As gw2 becomes more popular those accustomed to more negative communities will make their presence known.
Was having a great time until I lost a match I should have won due to the inept queuing system.
Also, very good Thieves… and I’m not talking about your average run of the mill Thieves, I’m talking about top players… someone who knows the Thief inside out, will eat up a Phantasm Mesmer for dinner, no matter how good the Phantasm Mesmer is.
They won’t eat them for dinner, but they have a punchers chance.
Don’t get it twisted though, the odds are not in their favor

Maybe the goal was to keep them relatively weak, but just not as weak as before.
The damage buff is significant and its there if you want it.
Game is built around active mitigation. You don’t spec to take enemy abilities head on as a thief. You spec to survive long enough to react.
You greatly underestimate thieves. But, its to my advantage that the general community assumes we are incapable of so much/ limited to a single glass cannon build.

I generally do more than 5 games most days and the dailies hardly offer something mandatory…so I feel its win-win.
These dailies are nothing to former wow players like myself who have endured much more horrible/evil/month killing grinds.
Other games, not doing the dailies means you fall behind on gear and are SOL. Lucikly gw2 has dodged this bullet for spvp
I’ve always assumed classes like necros and mesmers were meant to be naturally good vs boons where warriors were meant to be weak vs them

Seriously…nobody even bringing it up anymore. IMO this is the single worst thing about gw2. No other mmo ive ever played has so frequently hosted lopsided bg games like this. Its unacceptable and should be top priority to get fixed
You guys are overreacting. Most people are complaining about aspects of sword dagger that existed pre-patch. Where were the calls for nerfs then?
They need to find a way to give people credit for clearing a node without requiring all of them to all sit on it for 10 seconds or so
Great changes this patch, but one of the main issues I have with guild wars 2 pvp is the constant 5v4 random tourneys.
I know its random, but for some reason I never find myself in 5v3 or 5v2. 5v4 seems like 35 percent of the time if not higher.
Every other time i’ve bought gems I’ve recieved them instantly…this time took a few hours.
But its there now, ty
This happened to me. I just spent 8.5 gold for 350 gems.
Gold is gone, but the gems are not showing at all…just a blank box.
Attempted transactions that use gems don’t work either. I submitted a ticket.

gw2 gets huge points for it. I never thought i’d see something so fully fleshed out. Its great to get away from the typical wow esque pvp/pve
I like running around shirtless with double daggers in the harsh norn lands. I’d love to be able have more control over the hide option.

They multiply in droves, have above average health pools, stack protection and might, have a multi hit ranged attack and immunity to blind.
They also have the most annoying voice in game

Something has been rubbing me the wrong way about the pvp here.
I find that despite the sheer number of combinations one can have for pvp, only a few configurations for a given class are actually viable.
Each class seems to have their share of useless traits. For example the engi trait that allows elixirs to do damage while thrown…hits for 150 damage.
Each class seems to have their row of skills that underwhelm in pvp. Thieves traps, warriors banners, pre buff engi turrets etc
The twitch nature of pvp also seems extreme compared to other mmos in the industry
Overall each class feels somewhat shallow. Im not even sure I hit the nail on the head…something feels off though.
What do you guys think?

As a thief main, I understand and appreciate the honesty. I really wish guild wars 2 all the success in the world…

Now i managed to get 2 of my friends out of wow and into gw2 ;-)
I’d love to see the older events…i came to guild wars only a few month ago..so I missed out. Why not have the events trigger randomly from time to time?

I just started playing thief a few days ago and people are telling me the class is going to be heavily nerfed in the near future. What sort of nerfs should I be expecting? Your thoughts on them?

Hey guys. I play an engineer in spvp and am having problems dealing with the thief ability heart seeker. Mainly I get bursted to 50 percent or am already low. The thief then spam leaps at me doing crushing damage. Even if I make a gap the leap spam quickly closes it. I’d appreciate any advice.
