Orange bags seem to be giving more yellow gear than orange lately.

Took me 3 weeks, but it was my first legendary and I needed to get huntsman and leatherworking up.
Gift of battle was easier to get back then as well. Now it requires 8 1/2 hours in wvw

So heavy classes could wear leather and medium classes could wear cloth etc.
It would certainly open up some options for the player base.

If I want to make a second legendary, must I really go through the entire map completion of the expac a second time on a different character?
Just got out of some spvp, nothing but guardians.
1 game had 5/10 players as guardians, next had 4/5 of my opponents all guardians, then another 2 games had 3/5 of the opposing players as guardians.
They are super popular right now, so they can’t be that bad.
You should have known what you were getting yourself into. Climbing ranks is rarely fun in any game.
People spamming 2-4 guardians a team then mass dropping aoe fields/ pulls and barriers to keep you in them. Its rediculous

They advertised adding Margery, scarlet, kasmeer and faren, but I only see the pet rock on the store. Where are the other time limited mini?
They had old stretching animations that disappeared with no answer from the devs. Bring em back Please :-)
Just curious as to why all new legendaries have their foot imprints disappear immediately.
Is there a path towards getting their durations increased?
It would be nice for the new legendary weapons to get a second look.

Hey, Anet. I just finished crafting chuka and champawat myself and have to agree with the OP. The footfall effects should definitely last longer. Please improve this as you are able

I’ve decided I greatly prefer Demolisher gear to Marauder and am looking for a way to use it’s stats outside of sPvP.
Both Marauder and Demolisher give precision, power and ferocity, but Demolisher grants toughness instead of vitality, which feels better imo.
Unfortunately i’m not sure one can craft gear with this composition. The amulet was only just added to pvp. Any help is appreciated
Building squishy doesn’t seem to be very good right now. People chain invulnerabilities, and traps literally 1 hit you, or knock you down long enough to be globaled.
Paladin’s amulet feels almost required right now
I hear thieves counter them, yet i’ve been having a fairly hard time. Even when I get clean backstabs, the damage feels very reduced, as if im hitting a bunker guardian, instead of a dps class.
What strategies have you guys found effective vs mesmers? Thanks!
As a thief player, I noticed that even when I figure out which mesmer is real and get a clean backstab, the damage is severely weakened compared hitting to other classes like warrior or ranger.
When I backstab a mesmer, it honestly feels like im hitting a bunker guardian. What’s reducing my damage? It wasn’t protection I double checked.
I boosted a character to 80 today, and got enough hero points for all trees except for the new one. Do I have to get the old skill points in old content before doing heart of thorns?
Does heart of thorns content provide hero points?
Friends have suggested I try out a necro, so here I go!

Thief pistols are one of the coolest looking weapon sets. I’d love to see them improved and focused towards power rather than condition.

Everyone is referencing patch notes, but I cant seem to find any
game doesnt ask anything from you really. Just log in when you feel like. Im pretty burnt out on mmos in general. Quit wow ankitten ot going back. GW2 helps satisfy my pvp itch when it comes around.
I think the mmo genre in general is getting old to alot of us vets
I don’t care if you have to buff them overall to do it, but make them less annoying.
Phantasm spec trolls people in 1v1’s. People say it sucks for team fights. Make it less of a 1v1 troll and give it a proper place in tpvp.
Moa morph. Long cooldown “I win” button. This is annoying to the player who gets locked out of every ability for an unheard of 10 seconds. Its also annoying to the mesmer because of the relatively long cooldown. Change this ulti to something else.
Then you have teleports, invisibility, clones, boon stealing, stuns and dazes. I don’t mind mesmers being strong, but right now I think they are simply unfun to play against win or lose.
Sword port is fairly costly in Initiative when spamming and the second part can be easily dodged since it requires a 1 second cast and has an obvious animation.
The sword port was already “nerfed” in a sense since it had its range brought down to earth at 1200 instead of unlimited. The stun breaker requires the thief to spend 5 total initiative and prevents her from from using the root portion of the ability
Sword also hits noticeably softer than dagger imo.
Mesmers are pretty frustrating to fight. They require constant target switching and the phantasm burst is very hard to avoid when surrounded by clones and a mes dancing in and out of stealth.
Even if they are technically not OP, they are annoying to fight by design, which leaves players wanting to nerf the frustration if not the class.
I recently started playing League of Legends and noticed that they don’t mess around when it comes to leavers. After each match players can report others for having gone idle. The system also auto d/cs you if you idle for too long. When you d/c you forfeit any points gained for the match and if you are a repeat offender you get bans from 1 hour to a week to perma ban.
As a result, im very careful to make sure I have enough time for a full game. Matches are always even and people stick around, even when things get bad. I’ve had more than a few come from behind wins this way.
What do you guys think?

Remember theres no sub guys. I much prefer optional payment on non mandatory features+ free everything else to forced payment every month
My question is: How can we reduce phantasm spec’s 1v1 dominance, while also making it more viable for team play?
Mesmer has enough going for them 1v1. They don’t need a 10 second disable on top of everything else.

The offhand pistol is fine, its the main hand pistol that needs to be looked at.
Turn the pistol 2 into a blast finisher so that it synergies with pistol 5.
Vulnerability needs to be looked at. It is too easily removed for requiring 15 initiative and several seconds to stack to full.
Last refuge needs to not cause revealed, since it often triggers mid weapon swing and locks the thief out of stealth when he needs it most.
Pistol whip feels really awkward rooting the thief in place and may be 1 initiative too costly for what it does.
Sword could use a damage buff.
piercing shot currently belongs to the thief harpoon auto attack 1. It bleeds as well.
I wonder if you can invulnerability out of the kill damage >.>
Just make weakness also reduce crit chance by 20 percent matching fury’s buff.
No need to create an entire new condition.
Weakness reducing normal dmg + reducing crit chance will have a stronger impact in pvp
3 of any one class other than mesmer can mean a loss. Thieves are actually one of the better classes you want on your team
Last refuge triggers blinding powder at 25 percent. The problem is the players will often be bursted down to 25% while in the middle of a weapon swing, resulting in 4 seconds of reveal when you should be benefiting from a stealth as opposed to being hard locked out.
Make last refuge not trigger the revealed debuff. Its bad enough that thing is often wasted auto-popping mid swing, but to have it trigger the revealed on top is overkill.
consider nerfing protection as well. 25 percent to match vulnerability
The good pistol skills are on the offhand. Main hand pistol utility is vulnerability stacking, which is all too easily removed
I totally agree with changing the ability from + damage to actually improving the respective burst skills. Not every burst skill is purely for damage anyhow.
OP put alot of work into this. Fine job, though some changes are needed more than others. Hopefully the devs steal a couple from this list.
I find too many people focus on the class instead of the player.
Give wars the mug treatment. Lower damage but add a heal in to the equation
