With the scores being so close, I really think BG just has no clue about how many people they really have on their server.

It’s quite possible that even with KISS, SoR may not have the coverage needed to keep up. Maybe with school being out, more of BG is able to play now more often. Which does change the dynamics quite a bit.

BG is just putting out full map zergs almost 24/7.

BG is gonna take this proactive though, by shedding tears about SoR’s coverage they can get out there and buy up a new meal guild to fill up BG’s non-existent coverage gaps to keep that Black Hole content. Honestly though I don’t blame them one bit, with all the under-performing fair weathers on BG, its nice to see that they realize guilds dissolve as quickly as they join so they must keep that hole happy by recruiting any server/guild possible! At the end of the day, BG over recruiting for non-existent coverage gaps brings SoR and JQ fights 24/7, and for that I’m happy.

Believe it or not TW has been running no tags this week, and yet they still still find us About an hour or so before you guys joined we had IRON running the pugs while we ran with guild only. However when you arrived we had ourselves a rather large unintended force following us. Hopefully tonight we can have some fights with equal numbers

I already posted that BG should devour more guilds, its been more then a week since news of a new guild has sprouted! I’ve also come to the conclusion that BG req. at least 1 guild a week to survive, after all you can’t expect much from the already massive under performing coverage BG already has.

LOL, why is it that when we are winning it is said that we are pulling massive overtime? Fact is our NA, Oceanic, and SEA have always been strong, but with the addition of RG and HB coming back IRON hasn’t been able to steamroll the EU timeslot. There is no overtime involved and now we match all of your coverage spots.

Have to disagree with the BG NA being strong, in fact just the other day most of us on SoR were laughing at how bad they do during NA, even with the amount of guilds BG has. If you doubt what I’m saying, then all it takes is a quick look up of MOS to see that BG has barely maintained 200 ppt during NA prime this week.

Edit:I think you are slightly confused by what I was talking about with guilds, what I should have said was send potential guilds to JQ. I sometimes forget I have to simplify what I write for these forums.

Judging by BG’s EU ppt atm, I’d assume its safe to say that the excuse of SoR’s EU-NA is the reason we win is now gone? Finally looks like we have equal coverage between BG/SoR, now if only we could get BG to start sending guilds to JQ we may yet have ourselves the most balanced tier in GW.

Good to see BG has that Euro coverage once again now that HB is back, must of seen at least 30+ on SoRBL buring the midnight oil!

Its called a Black hole for the sole fact that many guilds go there only to have their players A) move guilds B.) quit the game C) convert to pve
Some of this is caused by guilds who started bleeding long before they decided to move to BG. The move just put the nail in the coffin. Had they moved sooner, they may have survived. Had they not moved, they may have survived. The thing is, however, it became a almost ritualistic occurrence on BG, hence the nickname the Black hole.

D.) Continuing to recruit guilds, when they already have proper coverage

Start sending all guilds that approach you to JQ/TC and that name will go away, but until then we will all continue to call your server The Black Hole.

Blackgate is such an attractive server, guilds decide to go there out of all the other 23 servers & stay until the end.

That is def. an odd way to take that name as it basically means what goes in never comes out, which in this case would be your purchased labor that disappears shortly after being devoured. I have to question though how you think your server being called The Black Hole is a compliment, but to each their own.

Anything can happen within 2 days… When Blackgate first beat JQ they were down in last place by over 20k and with 2 days left won the match in first place with about 30k to spare. Sure they lost the lead, but the match is far from being won on Tuesdays

lol Are you new to BG, this match was over yesterday while you guys still had the lead. BG is full of fair weathers that only play when they can win, watch you guilds tonight and you will see what I’m saying.

ICOA puts up 35-45 players
GoF puts up 40-50+ players
PRO puts out 15-25 players
RUIN puts out 15-20 players

As far as NA guilds go, BG is probably more stacked than SoR.

I find it funny someone from SOR is apologizing for being put in a random wvw when it was the JQ/SOR love fest that started the ball rolling on this change. JQ 1st SOR 2nd BG 3rd for months got old and made BG look like the 3rd best server. I’m a little biased here but since the change BG has been facerolling the supposed best server soooo. It is not about that. SoR have gotten a bunch of guilds into there server, but because we in BG have done the same somehow we are only built on getting more new guilds in every 5 mins. It is more or less TW and a few other forum warriors way of felling special by talking crap. It is why Tier 1 was so toxic. Now that SoR is gone it is kind of nice there.

As much as I love your enthusiasm for giving our thread your tears, we must part ways for a week. We will likely meet again next week and we can get back to discussing your real feelings for SoR! Yeah all the guilds you have gotten to SoR are not important in any way. IRON is so not the largest European guilds on a NA SERVER in any way shape or form. I mean we RK is only numbered 3 to 1 by them.

All the other guilds that have joined SoR over time they are not real guilds at all. No you grew in skill only…

Easily beat lol sor was 3rd for months and months and only the last two weeks has done anything. You guys pulled in the 2nd eu server and eu is our weakest time zone not that our eu players are not fantastic because they are, but its hard to match those numbers. We have been working on it though and will soon be back to #1. Remember we are the giant slayers and we look forward to a match up where JQ is not a factor.

Honestly I’ve been waiting for Anet to screw this one up, I can see how JQ or even BG woulda dropped to face new servers, but why would you take the current number 1 NA and pair it with rank 4 and rank 7 when we have easily beaten rank 2 and 3. This is turning into a sad state for WvW if match ups like these continue to occur.

Who cares about rating? All most of us want is to enjoy playing the game. When the matches keep screwing servers over it’s really hard to enjoy the game. SoS went from fighting 11th and 12th place and now it’s fighting 1st and 4th place after a week of fighting 4th and 6th place (and not even coming close to winning). This kind of ratings mismatch is incredibly destructive to morale, it’s what pushes people away from sPvP and it’s what pushes people away from WvW. At this rate it could be months before SoS is fighting against similair strength servers, and even if that happens there is a good chance the bizzaro ratings will start mismatching again.

I agree, I’m not sure what Anet is thinking but this new system seems quite broken. Why on earth would you have Rank 1 vs Rank 4 vs Rank 7 in one tier, that does not sound like variety it sounds more like a blowout. Anyway great fights on SoS BL, its nice to see some of the old faces from SoS and TC!
