There’s a red post somewhere saying they wouldn’t say anything about the internals of the DR system (caveat: Not sure if it only applies to event DR or dungeon DR too). Their reasoning is that it’d make abusing it easier. Which didn’t prevent us from figuring it out anyway.
dungeons can be cleared and well done really fast, and kicking it to honest players doesn’t seem a good idea.
As of right now, the only dungeon in which my group won’t hit DR is Arah. This is not good design.
4 dungeons in 2 hours doesn’t seem to me like “incredibly fast speed runs”.
It’s not. AC can be cleared in 45 minutes and CoF1,2 can be cleared in 30 minutes. Without skipping anything, obviously.
I say they should leave the system in place but change its variables so it no longer targets honest players. Can’t be too difficult.
It’d be vastly better if they actually work on dungeons to remove exploits that have been in since release instead of punishing players for playing the game.

“Half a step” is not “AFK auto attack”.
Can you AFK on destroyer? No, you still have to shoot the laser and now dodge his attack.
Can you auto-shoot on destroyer and watch porn? No, you still have to shoot the laser and now dodge his attack.
Therefore, you cannot AFK on destroyer. It’s not that hard a concept to comprehend.

We’ve been in this opera already. You cannot AFK autoattack on destroyer, pre or post patch.

If you mean that she failed to stealth and heal plus not even attacking, it was happening before the patch on rare basis.

I love the dungeon that’s quite challenging but neither faceroll nor brick wall, takes reasonable time and gives good loot.

Why is our group getting punished for being too fast. This is bullkitten.
Being good is now an exploit because apparently dungeons are tuned for tunnel-visioning 5-signet scrubs in MF gear and 0 combat awareness.
Whether or not they’re working as intended, the mere fact that you’re blocked from progression by RNG is a sign of kitten intent.
Why can’t we just BUY the kitten rings with the gorillion tokens we get?
That’s the trade off though. MF gear gives you the opritunity for better gear at the cost of a higher challenge.
There’s no higher challenge associated with kittening a kittenton of your stats because 95% of bosses are easymode faceroll fights anyway.
Just shut fractals down until ALL bugs are fixed. ALL of them.
My theory is, that if you do 4 different paths within 1 hour, then you might encounter some DR for any further runs this day, even if they are all unique.

I do. Punishing players for playing the game or being good should NEVER be a feature. Having the balls to tell us what to do with our in-game time is preposterous. Punishing speed-runners by cutting down their well-earned rewards is kittening bullkitten.
Encounter ran exactly as I expected. So yes, I was able to talk about it even when I hadn’t run it post-patch.

There are only two possible welcome changes to that guy:

This is an issue because he’s pretty much the worst boss in the game. If you had done him you’d know.

No it’s not.
Fixing something like preventing players from damaging the final seal directly in cliffside fractal is a much easier task than trying to figure out root cause of DCs.
And breaking the fractal in the process. Sure worked out alright.
Obviously the DC issue is a much larger and frustrating concern – but I image it’s also a complex one to resolve. No, it didn’t make it into this patch, but I would rather they take their time and ensure it is truly fixed than rush something that may cause other unintended issues afterwards.
The problem is their priority. When your primary concern is to nerf the everliving kitten out of everything that could potentially “disturb the economy” (Read: Diminish our gem profits by a single cent) instead of making a good game without gamebreaking bugs, something’s kittened up.
I don’t understand, why is it so hard to guarantee at least one rare from a fractal chest?
Or do you really want us to go p2w and buy gems to fund whatever the hell we want?

Since Robert is on this thread, have you decreased Rare drops from chests? noticed a huge decline in Rares.

Increased range only affects afk-shooting (you can still melee and move while shooting). If AFK shooting doesn’t make it less tedious then lack of AFK shooting won’t make it more tedious.
The tediousness of this boss is unrelated to whether someone AFK shoots or not. Is this really this hard to understand?
Besides, with the shield recharging every nanosecond it’s very hard to press F, shoot and go AFK. Did you even do this boss?

Getting that northern waypoint in Path 3 was an exploit that people used and has been fixed.
The waypoint spawning was never the problem. The problem was kiting Lupus to that waypoint so he can be easily graveyard zerged.
Even though the OBVIOUS fix is to close the door leading to him when you pull, Anet decided to pick the route that makes the least sense.

Speed running is not a bad thing. DR shouldn’t even bloody be in-game.
So in your mind, doing things as fast as YOU WANT not the way it´s intended is ok.

I actually don’t have my legendary yet, I have everything except 20 mystic clovers and the 250 shards.
You already made through the hardest part of your legendary, unless it’s some easymode bullkitten like juggernaut.

Let’s flood the market with precursors so the 1% buys them up for low low price and flips like mad men and becomes even richer.
That the arduous path to a legendary shouldn’t depend on RNG. The entire idea behind gift of fortune should have been scrapped and replaced with something more deterministic, such as a DM or master crafter title.
