1. Housing: the way that has been described before by many players that gives the ability to everyone to create as much as possible
2.PvP can become a very good end game with horizontial progression but first there are things that got to be fixed
3. WvW, same as PvP and also i got a link here that has very very interesting ideas about how to make WvW more entertaining https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Lets-make-WvW-more-FUN/
Edit: i just want to comment please please do something for PS there is a thread i made asking people even if they bothered finishing PS and most of them didnt. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Am-i-the-only-one-that-hasn-t-finished-PS/

Housing here housing there, also one guy just above me suggest`s open world building, which i doubt that gw2 engine support`s it i dont know it maybe does, but the point is one: Give People Power To Create! We need it.
I do like GW2 and I do wish they introduced something amazing… But when things like this come out ( notice it’s only some raw alpha footage ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jh_73qvfI8Y, it’s gonna be tough… And when I say “tough”, they’re gonna do something better than introducing Scarlet-like stories…:/
Yeah ive seen that, gw2 mechanics look laughable when you watching this footage, but is just footage we havent got our hands on it yet.
Heres what 2014 will bring
preview of guild halls december 10, 2014
preview of new dragon story december 10, 2014
preview of new weapons december 10, 2014
1 new utility for every class you will never use december 10, 2014
I know is mean but i cant stop laughing with that^
ive seen all of the armors (except the gw1 one) be worn by players, you got to check better and i think the heavy one is a dungeon armor as well
Listen. Two months from now will be about a year and a half from release. A year and a half after GW1 release, we already had Factions and Nightfall. That’s two new continents, four new classes, two new skillsets for all classes, new PvP modes, two entirely new stories, multiple elite dungeons, and bunches of other things. At near the same point in GW2 we’ve got…Southsun? Fractals? Temporary content? Did you guys set the bar too high last time or what?
In two months we’d better be sailing ships into Cantha. Zhaitan is dead; the path is open. Let’s go already.
We’ve also had Sorrow’s Furnace arrive just 5 months after release, which, IMO, is far better than any of the GW2 updates so far.
Also Anet has know 300+ ppl working on Gw2, while for Gw1 they had only 50! yeah pretty shocking statistic…
Things I would like to see:
-Hotkeys for quick out-of-combat pre-set utility swapping.
^That^ plus i would like to have 1-2 templates to switching traits from WvW to PvE
I got G600 im using it for Gw2, Dota2, LoL and even some FPS games. i recommend it.
Funny thing i made this post to speculate what we might see in the next patches and all i see is : “Anet is bad i expect nothing”
You shouldn’t be surprised.
Official forums of any game tend to be dens for the dissatisfied and the enraged. They think they’re being clever with their passive-aggressive trolling.
Humor them.
What I suspect we will see:
- A couple new zones (probably in the Maguuma Jungle), corresponding with the next chapter in the living story dealing with Mordramoth, the jungle dragon.
- Craftable precursors (whether of existing ones or for entirely new legendaries, I couldn’t say).
- More add-ons for your “home” instance (though full customization will remain a dream never to be realized).
- Improved guild interface (but no GvG).
- Quality of Life improvements (but no fully customizable UI).
- A new dungeon, maybe two, and a handful of new fractal zones (though no 10+ “raid” instances).
Thanks for your contribution!
Although one comment that i have to do im not considering these opinions as “trolls” people are disappointed indeed and people i know WILL leave if nothing good happens in gw2. But i havent lost my faith in Anet, not yet.
Funny thing i made this post to speculate what we might see in the next patches and all i see is : “Anet is bad i expect nothing”
I see, im disappointed too with almost every decision they took the last months but my last hopes are in this update if i get disappointed again well good think they will be new MMOs coming out around this time. Thats why i made this thread to see what we should hoping for
What interesting features do you think the features update that we will get in 2 months will have?
Personally i HOPE we will get a form of housing either personal or guild halls and also some good bug fixes!
Let Us Join The Dark Side Of Tyria!!!
They are quite expensive indeed i wish there was kitten dollar offer for 400 for example, also usually in other games there is a GOOD discount when you pay more to buy something, in Gw2 theres not 10$=800,20$=1600, 35$=2800 etc. no matter what you pay you`ll get 80 gems for each dollar
Can you have facebook show a graph that shows likes over time? That might be interesting.
Yes you can but i think you can see it only if you own the page it is not public, i think.
Be careful everybody.
I got an infraction and my post removed for saying I looked forward to 2014 for other games. I didn’t know the OP was talking about Guild Wars 2 specifically and I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to look forward to the other great games on the horizon in 2014. I wasn’t rude or snarky either:
Your post in Who’s excited for 2014? was infracted by a moderator:
I’m looking forward to Wildstar and Everquest Next and maybe some news on Blade & Soul or Archeage so yes, I’m looking forward to 2014.

you are my hero
another crazy idea, I call it “guards and treasure maps”
First of all we know that there are a lot of veterans in the game, some of them in not very obvious locations. Killing one veteran would give you 1/5 piece of a random treasure-map from any random area in the game.
- it can take a while to get all 5 parts of a map since you could get the same piece again from another veteran.
- combine the 5 parts to a treasuremap which shows the location of 3 champions in a zone.
- only one of those guards a skin (one of the skins from the champion loot bags). Find the correct one and kill him to get the skin guaranteed. Kill the wrong and you’ll get the skin from one of the other 2.
Why this way?
1.) You can’t run around with a farm-train since everyone would have different 3 champions on his map. The skin only drops if you have the treasuremap in your inventory. The map becomes worthless once you get the skin.
2.) You’re rewarded for exploring the map since there are much more veterans in very different locations. A more longterm-project than directly waypointing to each champion and be done with the farming after a month. You’d get those map-pieces while playing the game… something you collect until you get the puzzles complete.
Example:
Player A kills veterans in WvW. After a month he accumulated 4/5 Queensdale map-pieces, 2/5 Wayfarer Foothills map-pieces, 3/5 Southsun Cove map-pieces,… etc. His friend player B killed the same veterans, also in WvW, and got totally different map-pieces. He completed Wayfarer Foothills just minutes ago. Now 3 champions appear on his WF-map. One of these guards a skin. He takes Player A along, but since only he has champion XY on a completed WF-map, only he can loot the skin.
It was a lot of work, but it’s not too random since he coud watch the progression via. the map-pieces. The more veterans he kills, the earlier he gets his next skin.
Important note: the map-pieces need to have an own UI, so that the bags won’t get full of these. Something like the wallet I suppose.
Thats a nice idea and sounds very fun, but i dont see what kind of progression you could have from that is more like not boring grinding which is very good still
Well, both Wildstar and GW2 are under NCSOFT.
If Wildstar happens to get 2/3 of GW2 playerbase I doubt NCSFOT would suffer. any major losses.
exactly
Excited? Well, Let’s see…
Darksouls 2
Watchdogs
Elder Scrolls Online
Wildstar
Warlords of Draenor
Destiny
The Division
Everquest NextYeah sure I’ll have more Scarlet and Ascended crafting because that’s a lot more fun.
Honestly the only thing that can keep gw2 relevant during the year of 2014 is an expansion pack. Without that the onslaught of the new mmo’s releasing will devastate the playerbase. The living story updates won’t be enough to keep people here.
And just because a new mmo will have a subscription fee does not mean it wont compete with a B2P game. The majority of people can easily afford a subscription fee they just don’t feel like any current mmo is worth it atm but that will change in 2014 with the new wow xpac, wildstar, etc. It wont take that full list to get Anet in trouble I think the F2P building game EQN Landmark alone will be a big deal.
I am really hoping that they actually have an expansion planned in 2014 which is heavily involved in the elder dragons and areas like the Crystal Desert, if living story is all thats coming in 2014 then I am not sure if this game will still exist in 2015.
Even an expansion wont be good if it doesnt have new entertaining features such as housing GvG and many others. the fact that people believe that an expansion will save Gw2 in 2014 is wrong

Awesome work Bezagron.
Summary bump.
Chris
Am I the only one a bit disappointed… All that this community could think off is generally: “more of the same”. Where are the crazy ideas of some new progression systems? Or suggestions about something that could be copied from other games?
No you are not the only one, but for start i would be more than happy to have at least these added in the game
Third party mods are against the terms of use.
yeah i now what you mean but the specific mod doesnt give any advantage to someone who uses it neither in PvE or PvP it just makes the combat feel like it is real action combat
ANet takes the approach of it’s easier to just ban them all than approve ones that don’t add any advantage.
Doesnt make sense tbh

wow!! who made this? why we dont have in game yet?
it should be fine, it will be slow with big zergs in WvW thought
Immensus, it seems you took a wrong turn on the internets somewhere. This is the GW2 forums, not the Wildstar forums.
why because i say somehting good about another game? lol man chill out
i lost the challenge already
My idea from VOLKON’s Thread:
What about a legendary quest?
- You start of with an exotic weapon of choice: a greatsword, a sword, a longbow, maybe a staff… basically anything. Important: you can choose a beginner skin you like for it too.
- Now, you embark on a dangerous journey… something similar to the GW1 storylines, cause I absolutely adored them. Every time you get the choice between a couple of things, and your choice affects what happens to your weapon: each time you get a new component after completing a story instance, you can add it to your weapon, modifying the skin slightly and making it more legendary by the step.
- When you’re halfway, your weapon can be upgraded to ascended level, you have reached The Source of Ascension.
- At the end of the epic storyline, your weapon becomes legendary and gets a new name, fitting to the adventures you have completed with it.
They didn`t make a proper personal story, what makes you think they`ll make a good “legendary quest”? Or they even bother making one? Although it sounds good as an idea and i would like to see it in game
To have GvG spectator mode the game must have GvG first… so yeah… ain`t happening any time soon….
New Legendaries only to compete with the fresh game based in the universie that has 100 x the fanbase of the GW? That would be some poor strategy.
I believe they already stated that they are throwing out something really huge in mid-March. Hopefully, it’s some new maps, skills, better balance etc.
well they just made a CDI thread for progression about skills etc. i doubt that we will see that in march features update
I want to contribute to that with the best way so i got few quick questions:
-How does the idea of adding new skills as often as possible is? and by saying and as often as possible means that the skills will be released after they`ve been tested and balanced properly.
-Also how about making most achievements less grindy and more fun with better rewards? i think the game is already more grindy than it should so ill give an example what i mean with this suggestion: i liked the achivs in the Within Of Nightmares update were you had to jump from the edge of the top of the tower wearing those swimming glasses. also i enjoyed the Tequatl achiv were i had to jump over the waves 10 times, and i like the fact that is a similar achiv in the last update. and for the rewards part i like the backpieces and all these staff but 1-2 back pieces per update is not enough imo. Also i would like to see some weapon skins also been purchases only from achivs.
- And one last thing, housing. yeah this can be an awesome way to have the feeling of progression, by adding trophies that you got from event and achievements to being able to add activities within you house instance that can be played by your friends or your guildies and also being able to compete with them. there are many other ideas about housing these are mine.
Windstar is a modern version of WoW
ESO is a Conan meets GW2
EQ next is a Wildstar meets GW2
aka EQN will kick bump
is a fact that guilds have less and less active members day by day (at least most of them), is a fact that Ncsoft had 15% less revenue from Gw2 last Quarter, is a fact that many complaints that ppl saying from release havent yet been addressed. i never liked wow for many reasons but ill give wildstar a shot even though is very similar to wow, and the only reason is because the devs are very close to the community
Wildstar looks like puke. Probably ok game, but characters look like poor mans earthworm jim. Making my eyes bleed.
you know is funny that all these arguments have been seen before in the SWTOR forums were people believed that their game (SWTOR) had nothing to be afraid of Gw2 and some other games when they`ll be released, well see now, it barely has 3-4 server still open
I’m gonna go out on a limb here that GW2 didn’t kill SWtoR… SWtoR did.
One of the most impressively badly managed MMOs I’ve ever seen. It’s like the Star Wars franchise operates under some kind of curse.
Now, if you want to make comparisons between the two that are scary, its that fully voicing your protagonists with high caliber talent from outside your company is looking like a worse idea every day. We haven’t had one new line of hero speech recorded since before launch, and THAT was pretty disastrous over in the SWtoR patch of MMO grass.
Yeah i agree that SWTOR killed itself for sure, but look now the similarity gw2 is killing slowly itself too because Devs do bad decisions
Wildstar looks like puke. Probably ok game, but characters look like poor mans earthworm jim. Making my eyes bleed.

yeah thats why P2P works better and thats why it also failed many times, ecause when you pay 15$ per month you expect awesome content that will entertain you for hours and you wont get bored of it, and thats the primary target of these Devs that have that type of MMO, when meanwhile the b2p focuses on how to advertise and attract players to the in game cash shop
I was tempted to do that so i did it http://www.google.com.au/trends/explore#q=wildstar%2C%20guild%20wars%2C%20elder%20scrolls&cmpt=q Thats google trends for WildStar ESO and Gw2 you can change the tags if you want you`ll get the same result ESO hasnt yet been released and the google searches are slightly above Gw2 while wildstar just start picking up. I use google trend for many things ( college assessment research etc.) and it always has good statistics of what ppl are currently looking for.
Edit: if the link doesnt work try to do manually from Google Trends
(edited by Immensus.9732)
yeah exactly skill progression is what we want, and any kind of progression that does not require grind or so much grind as the current ascended gear require`s. And for that let me give a definition to grind, grind is something you do again and again to make some wealth or farm some crafting materials, grinding itself is not bad, the fact that it gets boring is, and thats one reason why theres so much rage about ascended because currently there are not many efficient ways to get ascended except grinding. That been said progresion in this game is its weak point for many reasons and thats what Devs are trying to implement in the game with a more proper and entertaining way and are looking for ideas through CDI
boon = buff, hope thats helpfull
For some reason nearly all Anet players I see are Rangers.
I’ve been tooling around on my Ele & Necro today.
New Challenge Unlocked: Find The Devs In Game!
fun, grindy, immerse
Around the time the game first came out, if you announced a defense/escort/gathering mission in map chat, you’d get 20 people flocking toward it, and some of them got really hectic/fun with that many people participating.
Now, hardly anyone comes when you ping an event, and those running by usually just ignore the event altogether.
I dunno, I just kind of miss that experience of randomly running into groups of people working together. I don’t really see it outside of world bosses/champ trains anymore.
Is just that the excitement for new content and new different MMO experiences, which is what Gw2 offered in launch, have gone away, thats all
I still enjoy the game allot. That said my guild has about 400 members of witch at least 370 never logged in for over 8 months now and the remaining 30 are only one a few hours a week.
The high pop servers are still going strong but how many of them are new players and how many are old players ?
At this stage though its still hard to see Guild wars 2’s future i for one wont stop playing it.
Yeah i have this feeling too that a huge majority of the players are actually new and only few that were playing the game from launch are still playing it
1.Mesmer
2.Thief(maybe)
3. Necro
.
.
Enough of the P2W argument already. IF you think GW2 is pay to win, you’re an idiot.
What GW2 is, is grind to win, and roll a warrior to win. And this is the problem with the game.
+1 Top Comment
Is obviously a very good way to progress and make some ppl stop complaining, but is sad that common sense things like that are happening so late
From what ive seen so far Wildstar is superior to Gw2 in every aspect(gameplay, combat, PvP, Devs) but this is not confirmed, we will see if that is the case in a year or so from now.
My main is a Sylvari and you are racist!!!!!!!!! :P :P
Gods Knight: You don’t understand what pay to win means if you think GW2 is pay to win.
OP: I’d stop playing in a heartbeat if they introduced a trinity. “LFH then g2g!” for hours on end is not my idea of a fun time.
I know exactly what it is and GW2 is it.
Yeah indeed i dont like that im saying that that it is P2W, i bought some gold from gems worth 20$ only for my ascended and i realized that thats the definition of P2W
Tell one of those sexy ladies what your progress on getting Twilight is.
