You might try updating your graphics drivers. And/or try repairing the client.

DISCLAIMER: this is my first forum post, so please be easy on my technical literacy.
As the title suggests, the Ele staff water skill “Healing Rain” is not working for me. Some troubleshooting measures that I have done:
- All other skills on every attunement works (including skills 1-4 in water).
- Tried multiple staffs.
- Tried multiple areas.
- Tried bound key (5) as well as clicking the icon (won’t even highlight on mouseover).
- Tried restarting GW2/ logging out & in again.
All of these experiments have failed. Maybe I’m missing something obvious?

Sometimes, in weapons skills, the icon will show it is usable, even though it has not yet been unlocked. A rather minor bug. You might try using the weapon in question for a few more kills, and see if Skill #5 unlocks. Good luck! =)
noob question: How do you check which areas have you already discovered? I’m 166/167 in maguuma. Thanx
The only way I can think of is to bring up a map of the zone/area, such as those found in the Wiki, and compare it with your own in-game map. Look at foggy areas on your map, especially. Good luck! =)
I’m not sure it does download anything while loading a map. I use the -maploadinfo command line argument, which lists downloads as one of its functions, and it never shows anything downloading. It does, however, show map assets and character models loading. But, maybe the downloads are invisible, or not tracked. /shrug

Actually, each chest does have a description when you mouse-over it.
Light armor for Necromancers, Elementalists and Mesmers. (Profane)
Medium armor for Thieves, Rangers and Engineers. (Krytan)

You can access the Trading Post by clicking ‘O’ on your keyboard in-game.

Ok, but adding crit chance to crit damage isn’t going to work. One is how often, one is how much.
Isn’t Crit chance telling you how often you might crit? I am not sure that has anything to do with damage.
‘Critical Chance is the probability percent of an attack to be a critical hit.’ ~wiki
And with your 103% Crit damage, your crit hits should do 153% of their original damage.
Plus whatever else you might have/use that effects crit damage.
Or so I understand from the wiki, etc.

I don’t think you realize how prevalent Spanish is in America. Nor that many words from other languages become part of our own. The spelling is different, but that word is quite well-known throughout the southern half of the US. And yes, it does mean ‘number 2’.
A manual unlocks the ability to spend the trait points you have accumulated into trait lines. They don’t give any trait points.

Have you visited the Mac Support forum about your issue with the TP? I know last week, or so, the Techs put out some solutions for that problem. Might work for you.

I’ve never understood the fascination with Cantha. I hated Kaineng City…ugh. Though, the Jade Sea and Echovald Forest were ok. And Factions was my least favorite Campaign.

Found the issue is with my invisible bags. I guess they’re invisible to the game too and only I can see in them and manipulate contents manually. Can’t deposit, compact or sell from within them.
That is the purpose of Invisible bags.

I have read that CS returned a Legendary someone accidentally salvaged, so you might get yours back.

Or using the same password multiple places on the internet. You might want to contact CS using a new email carrier, with a unique password, so they can’t intercept your emails.

As far as I remember, using the ticket for the gauntlets summoned a vendor, with your choice of class/weight for the gauntlets. But that was a really long time ago.
I don’t have to enter my username and password each time, I’m not sure why your ‘remember password’ isn’t working.
Maybe you have it on auto-cast? If so, take it off auto-cast to solve the problem. Good luck.
There already is a silence system. If reported and found guilty of verbal abuse, etc., a vacation that silents voice, and all action, for that matter, ensues.
They are a little tough. I’ve found on my Ranger, my axe/torch can barely touch them, but my longbow takes them down 99% of the time. I’m not sure why, must be because of range.
Oh, I learned that last year…lol.
It is repeatable, so it resets after every 5. The cap is 200.
Well, if your friend didn’t make the character on the account, then someone else did. If someone else accessed the account, then the account was hacked. When accounts are accessed by others than the rightful owners, the account is suspended/banned until the rightful owner can regain access.
I am sure CS will straighten everything out ASAP.

I don’t understand, really. I use a set just up to the 4th rune, and others for additional first and/or second. The 6/6 on my set is nothing special (for me). Even the devs showed mixing and matching in one of their livestreams.

No, it is not. The only time CS will change a display name is because it is either inappropriate, or for security reasons.
If you are new to the game, there is a waiting period for some functions. Some things just take a bit of patience.
