The mobility change completely hard counters Reaper in PvP. Like they add all that chill and snare conditions and say the reaper is someone you dont want to get close to because you wont be able to get away. Then they make leaps immune to chill and cripple.

Not to mention it completely destroys all counter play and buffs thieves ability to escape (like they needed that especially with init being immune to chill already).

And then of course we are all going to be running around at a snails pace in PvE. If anything ive always felt run speed was too slow. So this is going to ruin the enjoyment of everyday gameplay.

The mobility change is the direct nerf to Shoutbow, not a Reaper, since they have spammable cripple in their Autoattack which is a part of their damage pressure. Before Chill is an ensnaring condition, it also has another devastating effect that slows down skill recharge and attunement swapping cool down. “Sorry ele, you’re food to the Reaper”. “Sorry warrior, no fast hand for you, get stuck in that longbow auto,” etc. It’s scary enough to even say it’s a nerf (before it is actually implemented). If you put the Reaper on the center of a point, people will have to decide to whether they want to engage or give up that point. The presence is tremendous there.
Before leap is even a thing to escape, thieves, mesmer, necro and ele are already abusing terrain to death with their blink. And people will still get caught in mid air immobilization during their leap because you just cannot dodge during that animation. So it’s a small positive thing for PvP, I think.

If we gather all the movement skills that fit this affected category, there are only a handful:

• Savage Leap
• Rush
• Whirlwind Attack
• Leap of Faith
• Heartseeker
• Withdrawal - It removes movement impending effect anyways
• Burning Speed
• Burning Retreat
• Ride the Lightning
• Rocket Boot
• Acid Bomb
• Jump Shot
• Phase Retreat

It’s this sentence which makes thing controversial.

In my case, the majority of my girls aren’t black because they:
1. share the same face to begin with so essentially three of them are but one person.
2. I have way more Asian girl friends than any other races because the place where I was born and grew up is an Asian country. I’m more familiar with them, our anatomy structure and culture.
3. But that doesn’t agree with your blanket statement along with your assuming insecurity.

If anything, as a girl, I should find a black man attractive (which I do as I adore my character) and not a girl, lol. I just cannot recall a black girl friend close enough to be my inspiration of creation. I think Joan Smalls is pretty and Lupita Nyong’o is stunning (but I’m not gonna cosplay Patsey in 12 years a slave, hah!)

The condition changes are good. Dont really see how the confusion change is brainless.

What exactly is that gonna mean for dungeons though? How much slower is it gonna be? I obviously noticed a difference when rushing with swiftness but never paid close attention. It’s gonna influence heavily exploiting and glitching through the map, I take it…

Waypoint unlocking will be a tad slower. I’m not sure if it affect the different distance between in combat and out of combat leap. I would be very disappointed if they normalize it to the distance of in-combat leaping. It will be harder to get away and/or close gap. On an other hand, chill and cripple won’t reduce the distance, so it could be a positive thing for PvP.

Positive as someone who doesn’t bring condi cleanse, but a negative to those trying to use those skills to catch a kiter.

It’s just good for people who don’t like having to counter things in PVP.

It’s good for me because I play shoutbow and people are smart enough to waste my warhorn #4 and my only stunbreak before butchering me 3v1 on an devastating Panic Strike sort of build. It’s also good for a front line Zerg v. Zerg to dodge through countless of unblockable chill marks and fields and what’s not.

Immobilization is still King and requires Skill though.

Right now I’m enjoying the Staff for my elementalist, Warhorn and Long bow for my Warrior. They are fantastic.

I’m not the one who will immediately buy any outfit off the store right on the release day, but this Dwayna outfit (and the Exemplar one) is extremely well done that I have to have it.

Short story: the guys is the girl’s disciple and lover, they lost each other in the turbulence time of war, reunited after some twenties of years and amidst all the problems realized their love vows becoming two hermits.

I have the guy’s look down, I think. Even for one of the supporting character. I may or may not cosplay the girl’s look in the future. Hehehehe….

The guardian is only great when they know when to lay down Wall of Reflection, Aegis and Stability. These skills are always Optional, have high cast time/cool down and requires the knowledge of the encounters.

On the other hands, mesmer reflect, interrupt and mantra are parts of the DPS rotation. It’s hard to be ignorant about what you want to do or are doing. In my experience, mesmer is just ridiculously good (though not as god-like like ele) in Fractals.

Here I compare between the average OK guard and mesmer, excluding the loot-stick guard and the pewpew gsword mesmer. Please don’t be like them.

@Weth: Flame Legion is a species so it doesn’t work with Devourers. Same with Outlaw vs. Ascalon Vet (human).

I just think in pug, it just really don’t matter.

Let’s say a fight takes 20 second in a good pug. If you have a necro it’ll be 30 second.

Do you really think those 10 second is what slows pug? Hack, you spend more time waiting for the party to enter the dungeon. If some one died during skipping, or if someone is in combat when someone tried to teleport, you’ll waste more than a minute.

It’s not only a matter of having lower dps, and you know that. Everyone knows very well the biggest problem with necro ISN’T personal dps.

Other than that, I couldn’t care less about what everyone plays in pugs. Pugs gon be pugs.

@OP for a while, I used to run d/p executioner thief, rifle engine (on berserk) and p/p HIGH engine in fractals and dungeons to learn the feel of these classes. They are easy and feasible but far from high dps. You soon learn that a lot utility and defensive of traits will go to waste in pve and it is logical to allocate them to different damage traits once you know the encounters all too well.
