engi turret is imbalanced as kitten.. coming from someone who plays all classes.. the turrets alone kill people.. even if the engi isnt doing anything at all.. how is that not op? just like necromancer elite.. is ridiculous

I played with Targ’s team last night and won two matches against a team with 3 turret engi back to back. The way to deal with them is, when we are even number, I would try to quickly kill the rocket turret asap and the team trained the engi away from his thumper turret. When we were outnumbered, and I noticed that they already dropped all turrets on points, we moved to assault the other points. On the second match, I played condi engi and just kited them until they are down.

The build is cheesy but with proper call and communication, it’s very easy to deal with.

Erm. I find it also mindlessly easy with staff, glyph of storm and ice bow in silverwaste. Ever build works fine there. But only staff stack swiftness. Only staff has the range and aoe for me to tag the event credit. /shrug.

Then make a simple rule that the principal attack on the target must be from player’s skills, not from consumables.

Why don’t you use the peer-review system of scientific journals? Let’s say one neutral “editor” receives the record application, stamps time on it, then sends it to three credited anonymous “reviewer” from different guilds to approve it. If the record passes the majority of votes, it will be approved. The record can be posted in public venue even before official approval.

To protect the originality of the record, any subsequent submission from different groups with 80% or more identical tactics will not be accepted within 7 days of the first record.

I recently acquired The Bard as no cost and I’m interested in making Quip. At the same time, I have enough materials to make the Minstrel and no rush on making Quip. What should I do so that I won’t become flat broke while working towards Quip?

Once I opened an LFG for CM p1, 80 pls. After soloing the bomb part and standing waiting, a couple of 4x level joined. I kicked them flying. Then my friends promptly asked me if they were my friends. “What?!!” – “Because as soon as they joined, they started to kick you!” It was close.

I also faced a team with 4 turret engi and a dps guard 2 days ago. I were in a group of 4 and my team did a mistake not trying to zerg points instead of splitting 2 to close and 3 to far. The fights were dragged and it became worse every time they reopened and returned to the fight. Thanks for the pointers, tho.

Nowadays, i dont bother asking for zerker or meta builds. I have enough experience with tryhards that don’t even deal a speck of damage but preach like priests about how to follow the meta. Incidentally, a zerker warrior who ran ahead without stealth, aggroing everything to the turret part in CM p3 and complained that it would be faster if we had killed everything instead of skipping. Cool bro. Bragging about his DPS a lot and picking on the poor double axe war. I’m nice so all I ask from pugs is to ping their utility bar. That should be the sign of co-operation.

Guys, you can stack aura of Bifrost to an obnoxious level with Musical Instruments. I used Harp on my elementalist.

CoE is the one dungeon I wont pug with my ele. It shouldnt be a problem in organised groups. But pugs will often cause you difficulty usually because of lack of dps or people slacking on various duties which make things easier for the squishy classes that die fast to alphas instant earth spikes.

If I pug with any classes not my ele, I can see the DPS dropping drastically and the fight last longer D;

May I ask a noob question? How to win against a team with 4 turret engis?
Afaik, it takes two to kill one turret engi and decap, before they get more reinforcement. However, once they settle down on point, the fight is rather hopeless. So how should I rotate as the condi engi in the team?

The most difficult option: learn the boss mechanics, save your dodge and walk out of some slow attacks instead.

As much as I feel all warm and fluffy using D/F (as my safety cushion 99% of time), I’d like to take risk and do not want to endorse one single build for everything.

“OMG, there is no healer build in this game” – yada yada.

Supposed that the OP just wants to play healer for a kick and doesn’t want to be a complete dead weight. I say it’s possible to do so. My friend Zoii and I came up with a lot of experiments around Zealot when it first came around. She used her Zealot build for pugs and it seems to be a roaring success (for her). What to know about this build:
1. Zealot has a decent Power/precision spread so your damage/crit chance ain’t bad at all.
2. Stacking might and Bloodlust will help your even mediocre water auto attack deal some weighty damage.
3. The Arcane skills will be used in cycle to boost your next to nothing crit damage (ferocity) and also to apply vuln to increase damage.

So, how to use this build:
1. For burst: Start with Earth 2 → Fire 2 → Swap to water attunement → Arcane Brilliance → Arcane Wave → Summon Ice Bow, IB 5, IB 4, IB3, IB2 → Drop Ice bow

2. For Sustained DPS: Spam Ice Spike on CD → Autoattack in water. Repeat stacking might when your skills are off CD.

3. For Healing: Use Geyser and Arcane Brilliance. Use Arcane Blast on Geyser to gain Regeneration as much as possible. Use Healing Rain for condi cleanse and a bigger water field for any projectile (looking at rangers)/blast finishers Let people know that you are about to drop the water field so they can combo with you.

There it is. The build for d/d will be a lot more difference in trait spread as you will need to keep up 100% Regeneration uptime instead of straight healing.

Answer to question 1: swap into a more sustained build. Take vigor for more dodge. Take glyph of elemental in earth to draw aggro. You may want to use D/F. Learn how to dodge the hand raise burning and walk out from dragon tooth by baiting it on max range.

Answer to question 2: install the esp thingy. If your group DPS is less than 15k, may as well treat it as solo scenario. If your group DPS is between 16-20k, consider learning the proper burst rotation and notice other people not to cc the boss. Start with earth 2 in staff, swapping to air, cast glyph of storm, swap to fire, lava font, drop ice bow, #5-4-3, meteor shower, then lava font and auto attacking in fire.,

I have a solution for you. Set up an LFG that says “LF a mediocre group that takes at least 1 minute to kill anything. Will carry with Venom Share build”. See the irony there? If uou want a hard dungeon to maximize your build prowess, how’s about some othervdungeons like COE, HOTW?

20. While solo in Unranked. I was so upset that I could cry. Then my friend came online and we were able to pull a couple of win back. I also had three 0-500 in the current queue system. Not gonna complain much, but those opponent teams are really rude.

But i like how you were able to keep your might stacking rhythm. Even though it does need refinement, it is still nicely done.

Oh kitten , mine is currently 65-69% with ranger runes, zerk accessory and maintenance oil and 58-59% with scholars. Swapping accessories to assassins is something I didn’t calculate. It’s a good idea since there is an NPC from whom I can buy copies of the ones I unlocked from the collections.

I’m currently contemplating to sub the rangers with strengths instead. What is your opinion? Scholar is good for all 3 medium classes but strength is hard to pass for engi which I mainly use in fractals.

Edit: I’m a tiny bit concerned about the ramp up time, aka. time for Target the Weak to kick in vs. the vuln up keep. Give me some thought.

Very nicely done. I’m really satisfied with your rotation at the Wurm part. Actually it’s something which I find myself learning.

The following 4 Archers part, not so much. There weren’t any might stacks and it looks like you can just use LH and finish/cleave them must faster than spamming Lightning Whip while LOS.

At the bubble room, same lukewarm feeling. My group guardian usually gives Aegis, we split and 2 ele can provide LH to smash them to death. Way faster.

For the long skip, instead of SR, our driver would actually stop a little bit earlier for a couple of safe blast (warhorn, blinding powder). I don’t think she ever need to use Sr here.

Leurent part is smooth, but slow-ish. No LH?

You can stack might right away at Nightmare tree. Guardian doesn’t need SOTA and your rotation is quite awkward x . x.

A while ago, I joined a “Noob need to be carried” LFG of AC p1. There were two sub 80 rangers, a sub 80 staff camping ele and a necro. The ranger kindly advised me to bring my ele for easy burrow kill. I was like, nah, my ranger is fine, let me bring her. At the burrow part, I drop Frost spirit, then proceeded to solo the three burrows on the right side while defending Hodgins. As we finished it, their jaws were dropping on to the floor asking what sword I used as they have never thought a ranger could be played like that.
