You appear to have already skipped Step 1. Go back repeat step 1.
Dont ask what you can do for AP..Ask what AP can do for YOU
Got my Odonata bow..stil cherish it <3
But you not only need the fossil..also the recipe. But reading you having opened a kittenload of boxes..that would be no problem buying it, no matter what tier the Drytop are inIMHO such ultra rare things should have a way to be traded in the game besides RNG.
NOOO!..IT IS MINE..MY PRECIOUSSSSS XD
You call that a lot? I have 2 full characters who can’t walk a step because their overflowing laden 20 slot bags are spilling this —-- on the floor everywhere. Rata Sum cleaners hate me. Everywhere I go I leave dust red footsteps, I practically have a new legendary effect on the floor going. I haven’t made Mawdrey for fear he’d suicide if he saw the mountain he’s gota deal with.
LOL !!! He can eat a stack a day so you will clear out in …. Half a year ?
And then ONLY if he just logs in..feed mawdrey and log out…and not doing anything more to avoid the risk of getting more BSD XD

+1 for such a creative response
+1 another!! XD LMAO
Hoaxintelligence — and lived to tell about it.
Fake Asura? XD
The kiss with majorie and Kasmeer at the end of the Scarlet Story <3
“LFG, 5000AP + only”
“A player with 3K AP – you can make the same assumption but the chance isn’t that good. He simply hasn’t played enough.”
Both are BS..
I had a fellow guildmember who has 3 different accounts (for reasons only known to him)
He RULEZ this game..no matter what you want; Wvw, JP’s, PvE, PvP..he knows what to do and how. he solo’s several dungeon paths just for the fun of it; naked
Now, on his newest account, he has a charr lvl 80..but with very little AP..and you telling me because he has low AP..he does not know what to do and therefore cannot be a worthy addition to any group ? LMAO
Have you ever heard about that Norn thief?
…
Wait… someone is stealing Norn?
This comment made me laugh way more than it should have.
I got this great picture of a bunch of skritt smuggling Norn away in big sacks.
WHAAHAHAHAHA same here XD XD
What do you call a Norn with Nomads gear and Cleric’s trinkets?
" A Beer-tank"
What race doesnt give a kitten and always has the munchies?
A Weed-Sylvari
Why do Guardians never participate in Movember? (The month you let a moustache grow for supporting men’s health)
“Shave yourselves!!” XD
What was Dhuum’s, Abbadon’s and Menzies’ secret alliance secretly called?
The triforce
Link called..he wants his triforce back… XD
So, does this mean we can use these music macros to play Bell Choir? If not, how does the game know the difference? Or is it just a matter of reporting people who seem good at the content?
Seems like a bad idea to me. /shrug
Is that the mini game? If so and you use a macro for it, you’ll be warned/banned if you have a multi action macro and are found out, since it’s giving an advantage at completing game content (and a kind of pvp?).
I do not think a macro is capable to cover this specific mini game..even the slightest lag/latency screws up this game hahaha (it happens even when I play this mini game as it is supposed to be played..you press a button and due to lag, it doesnt hit the note on the right spot)
I feel there should be something added to the policy abouting using macro’s:
“Guild Wars 2 players are permitted to use macros as long as the macros are programmed with a 1 key for 1 function protocol. This means that if you program a macro, it must require one keystroke per action. You may not program a single key to perform multiple functions TO GAIN AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE TOWARDS OTHER PLAYERS”
That should IMO be sufficient; In the OP’s case..playing an instrument does NOT give you an unfair advantage towards other players..it even could be some nice addition the playing (Being a musician myself, I appreciate other people’s creative compositions
)
Why would you want to craft them? the cost is absurdly high and the highest level of ineffable stuff is lvl 68.
Those are specifically meant as a gear for alts, used in levelling. Their stats are better than any other gear of the same level.
Yup! I refer to those weapons as “ascended for low level chars” :P
Thanks Danikat and Ani for furthermore explaining Edge of the Mists to me!
Appreciate it alot.
Jcroy, thanks alot also for bringing in another side of the story lol, that seems like a very valid idea of leveling aswell! I didn’t know you could rack up so much xp from just slaying, I might even consider doing that for abit!
You are very welcome. I just learned this about 4 months ago, while already have been playing for one year+ .
I was slashing away with a new char out of boredom (one of these days) slaughtering doe’s and moa’s..and i was surprised why I leveled so fast. Asked my guildies what the reason was and they explained
Mordrem Vile Trasher got nerfed too. They used to be immune to damage when rotating. Now they’re just defenseless from behind.
WHAAAHAHAHA Mordred Daisy Wolf ?
Mystic forge could be your friend
4 dungeon pieces makes one salveageable piece. Maybe even consider exchanging tokens for rare armor, use MF and then and salvage for the better price/ecto rate ? (last one is an assumption though)
Edit: Skip th MF part to make salvageable gear…I made the mistake assuming Dugneon gear wasn’t mah bad! XD

My Daughter’s Rampager ranger is doing quige well. In fact, she complains that things die too easily.
I feel a nerf coming up.. XD
I worry about this thread. How many characters are throwing themselves of cliffs, buildings, and bridges to see how drastic their death will be?
My answer: Enough to kill my char.
Maybe a “Lemmings” achievement should be in order here too )
My friend beat yours!
Tom the ’bom
Worstpunever.
Sweet Lord….PRICELESS!!!!! Should be an Suicide Dive Achievement IMO XD XD
Whats helping me a lot is the following:
You will encounter lots of so called “yellow” mobs in the maps. Now, the interesting part about those is..the less they are killed by other or yourself, the more BONUS xp you get. Prerequisite is however that you need at least an XP booster (from gemstore or black lion chest drop)
Example..a moa i killed normally would gain me 200 XP..but with the booster AND keeping in mind this moa is find on “not-so-common places” (meaning the likelyness of it being killed a lot of times) yields a bonus XP amount of around 1100! Thats 1300 XP in a very easy kill at once.
Now imaginge groups of those yellow mobs together
Hope it helps
Isn’t this the most easy place to look?

Really Anet?
Last time in Dry Top you had to sell Pot to make a good buck.
This time you extract organs and sell them to some shady asura.
What’s in the next LS, child slavery?!
SHHHT! You giving it away!! XD
Also, for some reason everyone puts up yellow commander tags (why?)
Indigo is Purple tag
Amber is Yellow Tag
red and blue..well..that should be obvious by now
You don’t need to worry too much when you’re creating your character. It’s possible for any character to unlock all the different pets,
Depends if you have played GW1 and achieved a reasonable amount of AP
You can skip most of this text and go to the main point to the 7th paragraph if you don’t want to read the background.
So you finally have gotten your full set of Ascended Armor for your Mesmer. You probably spent 500-600 gold and 2 months of grinding dungeons, world boss train or w/e. Or if you did it in a month probably grinded for 6 hours a day.
You are really happy, and go ahead and out fit your armor with some traveler runes for extra mobility as Mesmer’s do not have huge access to swiftness.
A month later, you kind of get bored of your mesmer and want to play one of your other level 80 classes, perhaps an Elementalist because hey why not, the ascended gear that you have is transferable and usable by any light armoured class.
However, you realize that traveler runes probably aren’t the best runes for an Elementalist because they have alot of access to swiftness. You want something maybe like Hoelbrak for the extra damage. Cringing at the thought of replacing your 50 gold rune set for Hoelbrak, you reluctantly do so because you want to have the best experience with your Elementalist as possible.
However after a week or so, you kind of realize that the Elementalist isn’t really your class or you get kind of bored and want to go back to your mesmer. However, you don’t have the funds to replace your Hoelbrak runes for Travelers. So you grind dungeons and WBT for the next few days and finally you are able to come up with the money. You again cringe at the fact that this time, you are replacing a 60-70 gold rune set, but do it anyway because you really need the swiftness. It is then it actually hits you. You just pretty much wasted 120 gold for nothing, I could of at least got some nice skins or even 1 or 2 ascended weapons
.
I’m sure we’ve all been in that position before, switching between classes but not having the desired runes, including myself. I have three ascended sets. Two heavy and one light. I got two heavy because I didn’t want to replace runes all the time, between a roaming build and a zergbusting/GvG build.
ANet has already made ascended gear transferable so we can have a better experience with other classes we may choose to tryout. However, that experience is incomplete and somewhat frustrating when you don’t have the runes that you want.
My suggestion is, once you have bought the runes and put it in your gear, allow the option to switch to those runes anytime that you want. For example, I have traveler runes on my light ascended armor, but for my Necro I want perplexity. I can simply buy the perplexity, equip it in my gear knowing I can switch back to travelers if I ever want to play on my Mesmer without unnecessarily spending the money to do so. For ascended weapons it isn’t so bad, but to make it consistent this should also be done for ascended weapons and legendaries
IMO opinion you are making one minor mistake…if you want to EXPERIMENT…do not try Ascended gear.. instead, make or buy some exotic and try that. If it is to your liking THEN consider:
1. make another ASC set
2. Replace your runes
If both experiences are satisfying though..I think option 1 is the best option
Hope it helps
- Why do we need the party kick feature at all?
- Given that we have that feature, why should anyone be immune? Seriously, “deserves/needs this authority” is not an explanation.
I second that..instead of kicking a “not-so-doing-well player” you should be able to choose to leave for yourself..after all, it is your own decision not to go on with current members..
Despite the fact that this would a waste of spent efforts and time; people will notice soon enough if one or a few members are not in possession of the experience needed as soon as they are in the first fractal/dungeon phase
I had the same when I started to play..then I got a new graphics card and OH BOY..was I mistaken..LOL
Could your personal level have something to do with it?
Just a small remark..I really appreciate seeing that players find satisfaction in “out-of-the-box” stuff to do (besides all choices of wvw, pvp, pve, trading, gathering, crafting, etc, etc
Good work!
Somehow it seems that all things with “giant” in them are kinda hard to achieve
Giant Eyes
Giant Slayer.
Giant issue IMO
Got my Odonata LongBow..I am a happy
Kind of off topic, but isn’t the ’hysteria" over Precursor rate partly due to the repeating of the “1 in 128 forges”, chances that gets tossed around in these forums and how this number is misinterpreted by players seeking a precursor?
Most players just don’t understand that what that means is you toss a 128 sided die EVERY time you toss in 4 Exotics and you MUST roll a 1 to get a Precursor. Most take it as meaning if you do 128 Exotic forges you should get a Procurer…..which is NOT a statistically realistic view of the odds.
I get this is from player ignorance of basic statistical terminology that may be obvious to others, but I feel it is a HUGE mis-communication with players that might be a bit overly-obsessed with obtaining a Precursor….(I get that’s not any one poster’s problem).
Not pointing or meaning to pass blame in anyway with this observational question.
You are absolutely right! I stated this a while ago in one of the other “precursor-rant-odds-mystic forge” rants
There is a name for that too
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler's_fallacy
Aaaand let the Norn jokes commence….XD
“without looking” I think you already have the answer on this one. :P
I fear no refund will be taken into consideration, but you can always try to open a support ticket
Do NOT go there…it becomes a real pain in da Bud
I’ve been living in lag-country the last few weeks..never had that before
Even rage-quitted yesterday…
Als, a huge kinda tree has spawned in Southsun on the plains (near the SW wp)….or did I miss that the last few years?
Here is a picture of him. He traveled all over the world with us. Wherever my career took me.
I do want to say though that many folks who are connected to Arena and Guild Wars have losses in their lives and whilst i so appreciate your care and suggestions I don’t think it is appropriate. There are folks in the community going through much more difficult things than I.
Chris
I would really appreciate having this pet at my side
A small yet elegant warning might be in order here " You do realize that on crafting this item, it will be account bound, right? " XD
Your wrong!
Anet has stated that you have as much chance of getting a precursor weapon on your first try on the mystic forge ( or open world L80 exotic drop ) as you do on your 10,000th try! .. its the same odds every time it is a lottery in every sense
So someone could play GW2 for 10 years every day and still not get a Precursor. Its unlikely but 100% possible and there in lies the problem.
The only 100% way is buying it on the TP
nope im not wrong each has the same chance yes but if you do enough with that chance then your stacit chance is higher its simple math example if you do it 10% chances looking before you done it you will have more then 10% chance to get someting you need;)
and i said that the said got so close to 0% chance for it to not get a precourcer but i never said it where 0% only stupiedly closeYes..you are wrong..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacyYou can parse that to determine that the original was incorrect? I’m not sure what the poster was claiming.
I would say that if you decide you’re going to keep going until you get the precursor you want (i.e. throwing more rares/exotics at it), the likelihood that you will fail to get the precursor you want approaches zero as your horizon (how much you’re willing to spend — in the future, not in the past) approaches infinity.
In practical terms, if the rate is 0.16%, then if you’re willing to do 100 (== ~300 rares, ignoring exotic outputs) tries, then you have about an 15% chance of at least one success (the converse of 0.9984 ^ 100). If you’re willing to do 1000 tries (== 3000 rares), then you have about an 80% chance of success. If you’re willing to do 10,000 tries (== 30,000 rares), then the chance you will not get a precursor in at least one of them is 1.11e-7 — your chances are on the order of 9,000,000:1. OTOH, given the number of people playing GW2, if everyone were to try this there might well be a person who winds up with that set of unlucky rolls.
If we expand again to 100,000 tries, then the chance of no precursors is 2.8e-70 … so vanishingly small that it is exceedingly unlikely to happen while we watch. Of course, ignoring the exotics (which you could sell back), that would cost on the order of 180k gold … so it’s also prohibitively expensive.
If I am not reading correct, sorry for misreading
If I do read correct however..stop adding up attempts!
Eacht attempt is on its own..there is NO connection whatsoever by the amount of tries!
Thats is what my posted link is about it is a mindgame :P
Champion bags are fine, they just need to govern where and when they drop a little bit better.
They have the tool, they have an ability to flag a Champion as not having a bag, yet still spawn it to provide extra challenge when required. We see it at Claw.
Now, if the live team that’s been in place after, say, the first 14 months of the game doesn’t know how to do that, no documentation or code comments, well that’s a whole other issue.
They should know…champs during Tequatl for instance do not drop champ bags..they do however count towards monthly champ kills
How about let Champions be Champions roaming somewhere on solitude and NOT let them appear by scaled up events and achievements ? Problem solved
It is all about discipline:
- Refine leftover from day before
- Craft ascended stuff
- Mine home instance nodes
- Do Daily
So..whats next? XD
Is there a problem?
I choose a server for different reasons then being the “main god” in WvW country..
The opposite however goes for players who WANT to be part of being the main rulers of WvW.
(It is like soccer..the better a team performs, the more “fans” it gets.)
So..no solution possible honestly IMO
I am on FS server..and we get creamed for 2 weeks in a row now during this fall tournament. But still I am enjoying the raids, the laughs and talks on TeamSpeak servers, the screw ups of both FS commanders as well as enemy commanders…
So, if you feel left out or feel being treated unfairly by getting your kitten kicked over and over again in WvW?
Do what every good professional opportunist would do..switch servers
YVW :P

I just dumped all my extras. I highly doubt ANet will ever allow us to do extra things with them since they’re so easy to get. (And if I ever need more, I have two mules whose birthdays will be coming up soon too.)
I really hope you did not have an amount of risen priest of balthasar and threw those away…cuz they can be used in the mystic forge to create obsidian shards
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mini_Risen_Priest_of_BalthazarNah, I never gambled on the Orrian boxes. I spent all my karma completing the T3 Cultural weapon collections for my wardrobe, along with buying 1500 Obsidian Shards for Ascended crafting.
Thumbs up..way more smart then gambling indeed
Don’t listen to Silvercyclone. What Vayne says is much more accurate. There are ways you can do the living story achievement – like guesting to different servers or joining a party on a map that isn’t farming the event. Failing the event is not griefing. It is one of two possible outcomes which is allowed by the game.
All arguments about doing the LS can be flipped around for the farming mobs..
in fact; farming can be done on a lot of other places..LS cannot.
So guesting on another server for farming should be more reasonable then for the LS IMO
