I just don’t understand how the feature pack tampered with the storyline quests… unless like Lindelle said, they reworked it, meaning they intended for this to happen or…? Cause now, I’m just… lost. I use to know what direction I was taking based off which path I chose but now… everything is just all bass-ackwards.

I noticed this a while ago and I just didn’t think to mention it until now.

The Personal Storylines, they are not as they were before the leveling system changed. Some are missing – like the one with Apatia with the Krait and others are… some totally out of sequence. Like, I am jut now up to killing Zhaitan, but I didn’t go through the Artesian Waters to cleanse Orr and kill the big eye thingy and… ugh… I’m so confused.

Not to mention, Characters that I left off at the original placement of doing Grenth’s temple… that use to be two quests away from the end, and I did it, but had to do Temple of the Forgotten God… again… after I did it already a long time ago. I know I left a lot of my character’s storylines sitting dormant for a while, but I… I’m just having a hard time understanding this. Am I going crazy or… did something happen here?

I’m leaving it alone. Really, It’s okay, I was in the last Beta, and besides, we’re all gonna be wait deep in the Heart of Thorns when it’s released. I, persoanlly, just don’t see the point in throwing up a big fuss just to only be able to access this for a couple hours.

I didn’t get the portal, I’ll live, I’ll just wait patiently for the next time luck favors me

To be honest, I tried really hard for it, but then up and quit the moment I found out people who did get the portal drop, got it to drop for them a 2nd time. I kinda knew right there to… kiss it goodbye. Makes no matter. I got in on the last Beta, so… I couldn’t ask for Dwayna to bless me twice, ya know?

I tried so hard for that portal, but… oh well. To everyone who got one, I hope you have a blast tomorrow!!

Even if they made the golden outlining dye-able, then I would be happy, but… I sadly agree, I doubt they’ll allow that

lol, okay I understand people don’t like Tybalt, but, Seiran, or Forgal for whatever their reason. Point is, you can’t Memorialize 1 and leave the other 2 out, or memorialize 2 and leave 1 out.

Additional point: People may have not loved these characters, but a lot of them did and for the sacrifices they made, it’s only fitting that they be remembered, right?

Well, you know what I mean, Tybalt, Seiran, Forgal… they’re not mentioned much if at all after their loss in the Personal Storyline. Yeah, there always gonna be those who will seek out the spoilers, but… even last week, a new player and I spoke, and how this player just adored Tybalt (as many of of do) and was unaware of what happens to him cause she hadn’t reached that point in her storyline yet. There are those who truly do not know.

I am worried, honestly, and I’ll tell you why. This discussion, for the new players, and/if they include a memorial for the 3 Order members who sacrifice themselves at Claw Island, I can see why Anet would NOT do this.

Why?

New players to the game? It would be a hideous spoiler for them

I still think Claw Island should be a monument to those of the personal storyline who have died. I wouldn’t rebuilt the fort there, not to serve the purpose it served before the Claw Island attack. Have that location be somewhere else, I think Claw Island itself should be immortalized to those who died there. That’s just me, though

Oh yes, yes… hard and I feel bad that the other two are forgotten as well. Have something for all three on Claw Island.

Okay, if the picture below is what some of you meant my Elonian influence… I can sorta see that. Specifically Vabbi… but the first thought when I seen the picture below was – They making LA in a waterpark now? All in all though, it’s a MUCH much better improvement on the city as oppose to what it looked like before Scarlet attacked.

Armored Guard part of the personal storyline is still not fixed and it’s been weeks since I reported this the the first time. I’d really like the finish the story on my Ele, but it gets hung up the moment I first try to speak to the Charr. Help?

I study those pictures and I took the poll and… I can’t help but get the feeling like Lion’s Arch, especially from the picture below, is looking like it’s reconstruction was greatly inspired by the fallen land of Orr. Anyone else get this feeling as well?

So the not so nice tinfoil hat part. Perhaps the OP has concocted this story about being harassed about the terrace pass regularly in an effort to give more weight to the argument as to why the pass should be reintroduced. There is no mention of the constant harassment in the post I quoted which is also interesting. Of course that doesn’t eliminate the idea that the daily harassment started after said post. However the OP did state this harassment has been going on for over a month now. So this might be things that make you go Hmmmm. I’m not sure how many will get that last reference.

Okay, um… while I in no way deny that I requested Anet to re-release the Terrace Scroll, I feel quoting me on a post I made roughly a month ago has no barring on this particular thread. Why would I “concoct” anything to use as a reason to post on the forums? What am I, 12 years old? That would be beyond childish and completely unnecessary.

I fully understand the confusion a lot of you have posted here, as you have not encountered this problem, but it doesn’t make my post any less true. We deal on a MegaServer now, what is so hard to understand that while you, on your map, don’t run into annoying, unsavory people regarding the Royal Terrace, who’s to say it doesn’t happen on a different map… to people like… say… me?

lmao, I’m not trying to whine line a child, I promise, I’m not… It’s just… you get tired of rude people after a while and personally, I’m tired of blocking and reporting childish players. I have better things to do in this game than bother with that. That’s all. And I would adore the airship, I would… if it weren’t so… condensed. LOL, I absolutely agree. When the Terrace was first introduced I had wondered, well, for those who do have the scroll, if we log out IN the Terrace, why can’t be just log right back into it when we start up the game or character next time?

If you legitimately have people harassing you, there is a report feature for that, which would probably be the best solution to the issue. People that get foul just because of something like this are likely a toxic element of the community anyway.

This is true, but I have reported them, blocked them… everything I could think of, even setting my Status mode to “Offline” just to avoid getting whispered. The thing is… I don’t really feel I should have to stealth my online status to dodge this. Okay, getting one or two people asking a week is… that’s fine. But, seems like I am getting 5 or 6 asking me a DAY and I have even pinged the Terrace scroll, told them it wasn’t available right now to buy but that I was sure it will be released in the future. And the discussion kinda went like this:

“How the **** did you get in there?!”

Me:
Terrace scroll pinged. “You need one of these, hon. You can only get them on the TP but they aren’t available right now. The game puts them up every few months or so.”

Player:
Yeah, but how the **** do you get inside?!

“Um… I just told you.”

I get them whispering me, some of them with less than suitable language, mind you. I even had one follow me half way across DR until I answered him about how to get in the Terrace.

QUIET!!! All of you! I AM the main… and I have been charged with looking after and taking care of my other 22 sisters. It is a harsh world out there in Tyria… Much to be done… but pain to be felt, much armor to be repaired. As far as I’m concerned, for all the crap I put up with in my life… I deserve the perma tools, I deserve the make over kits, the armor, the legendaries, cause I am the one that goes out there working the land for the livelihood of my family! Had it not been for me, I would not have allowed 20 of my 22 sisters to join me in lvl 80 land. If not for me, 7 of my other sisters would not have perma tools, and had not been for me… I wouldn’t even have 22 sisters period! ( would only have 4, lmao). I supply the clothing on my sister’s backs! the weapons they wield in battle and don’t think for one minute I do not eye my little Elementalist sister who stays in town all day long and does nothing but crafting and runs up my credit cards on the trading post!

I refuse such abuse from my sisters and I demand the respect I have earned!

(Reality sets in here: Actually I have 5 characters out of the 22 that I consider to be mains, and it is between 3 of those 5 that wield my legendaries but… I think they have an identity crisis going on. Out of the 22, those 5 were the first 5 created, little favoritism in there, me thinks)

Both, actually. Most of them bought on bids, 7 of them bought with tickets. I mean, I always considered the Tormented line to be one of the most popular in the game. People who played GW 1, like my husband and I, that line holds some nostalgia for us.

Of course, it’s not only the memories, I’m not that dense. Those skins before were pretty pricey on the TP before they reduced it to 1 ticket again, so either way it’s a win-win… cause if I wait long enough, then I will be selling them back to the TP at 2 to 3 times what I paid for them

Please understand, it is the comment belief that if Ascended goodies were not time-gated, then many of us believe it would destroy the game economy. Many players take advantage of the TP as is, price hiking items that were ones never so expensive. Inflation in this game makes the U.S. Government look relaxed in their ways, lmao. (Okay, maybe that was a bad joke…)

Or it would make Ascended items therefore Ascended gear otherwise dirt cheap and since they are ‘stated’ to be the best stats of armor in game, well… that in and of itself should be worth something, you see. These are mats to make “end-game” armor.

Yes, Tormented and Chaos both existed in GW 1, looked a bit different but… though some of the Torment look the same for the most part. But I see, thank you.

So, either I’m nuts or it was a smart move to buy 15 of the Tormented skins (thinking it was gonna be discontinued cringe I should have asked first, I suppose. lmao)

My husband took note that the Tormented and Chaos skins from the Black Lion’s Weapons Specialist are listed for 1 ticket again.

No offense meant, but if you’re not 80 you’re not really well versed enough in the game to comment with full understanding and probably shouldn’t be in Beta.

None taken, however, though I have many lvl 80 characters, I do own more than one account, in which those accounts do not have a lvl 80 so I was simply wondering. That and given te fact that I have very close friends in real life who recently started GW 2, would love to take part in this beta, but some of them are not level 80. I ask this question in honor to them, not myself.

This is gonna be almost impossible for me to prep for, I am so excited, when I try to think about what I know vs what to prep for… all of a sudden I can’t think (sobs)

LOL, yup, friend and I also firmly believe HoT’s release will commemorate GW 2 3rd Anniversary! (UGH! I am so excited, this is almost impossible for me to make any kind of speculated preparations!

Being a player here since launch, I have studied the TP to the best of my ability and I usually had a keen intuition for it but when the dawn of Ascended weapons followed by Ascended armor, I have lost my intuition and am often left to seek the invaluable but non-biased opinions of my fellow players.

This having been said, I have been seeing a great many things on the TP and hearing a lot of speculation for the preparations regarding ones readiness for when Heart of Thorns is released.

I see:

Mystic Coins… shot up in price very suddenly and I couldn’t figure out why. Players say they are making preparations for… HoT… Okay, I can live with that.

Other items such as Cores and other specific items have spiraled upward in price, all with the same conclusion offered that it is in preparation for HoT.

My most recent given advice was that I should start hoarding my T6 mats, such as Damask, Deldr-Steel, etc etc etc… as this person believes with the launch of HoT may (or may not) bring new armors, that require such materials all but ensuring that the value of these items will shoot to twice of not three times their normal value.

After pondering all of that I have seen or discussed with other in-game or irl, now I bring the same topic here. I am aware I may very well be the other person to have brought this thread to the forums but… does anyone else here have any preparations and/or… theories and predictions that apply to this topic? I’d love to see what you think!

I’m genuinely curious, why would you quit over something fairly innocuous that has been stockpiled? What had been planned for such a large number of Tomes? I largely disregard them tbh.

What does it matter what had been planned? We all know what the Tomes do, so… really, do you need ask what the plans are?

We’ll just say all in all, my Husband is not happy. Between the two of us, I’m the gamer in the house and he has little time to play. Stockpiling these tomes to make any future progression he makes in the game easier for him to do is something that should be entirely left to his discretion, as with the introduction of these tomes made that an option for him to do.

He read over the new trait changes coming, he doesn’t like it (which, he’s entitled to feel the way he feels, regardless of my opinion). He’s afraid that with the rumor of the removal of tomes, he’s angry as what he has understood of this new trait system; his being a tank will be largely affected. His health pool is greatly contributed to how his places his traits, after this new Specialization Primer, he livid because he think we’ll all have to buy new armor.

That having been said, I cannot disregard his concern over the rumor of these tomes. I hate to say this but it really does feel like ArenaNet is revamping the entire game system on us, and… a few of us… just wanna know… why? That’s all.

I’m just trying to understand why it would be an issue. If the point is to feedback to Anet (if it is true and nothing has been said yet at all) that you are unhappy about it, stating why would help the cause so much more. Which you sort have in your follow up post (although I still disgaree any issue is at hand, but that’s a different point)

I would completely ignore any rumours as well. Having looked over the dulfy notes and read over the blog in my detail, many rumours have been debunked utterly since they are based on supposition and overflating the actual facts. If you are genuinely concerned over this, I would wait until the actual details are put forward by Anet themselves. I too thought it was an entire revamp, then I read up further on the details and it isn’t at all. A tidy, some streamlining and some future proofing, but not a fully game/build breaking overhaul.

Ive no clue what plans are for ToK (since I barely use them), but until Anet say they are changing, as far as I and anyone should be concerned, they are not

I have to say, his curiosity of this whole matter is valid in my mind because if that is the pending possibility for him, he would be livid if his Tomes were taken away too, lol.
