Guys, have a little bit of a problem here. As many have done, I do got the pieces of Lumi armor from the achievements.
Perhaps I was dumb in uses dye on it? Cause now, I cannot get it to go back to it’s original state, no matter what I try…
Is that once I dyed it, I would never return it to it’s original state… or is there a way to do it?
You’d be surprised at what this bored housewife does sometimes
I just recently got back into Fractals after a year and a half… I am now level 12 in Fractals. I do not aim to make this a habit.
However, because of Fractals I have been introduced to Agony Resistance. I note on the Trading post how they are being sold. I continually upgraded mine for something to so, ya know, and right now I do have a +12 Agony Resistance in my keeping. Since I do not aim to make this dungeon a regular part of my game play, I had a thought, but… with this thought came the question.
Are ARs on the TP avidly bought? If their not, I won’t be aiming to sell them whenever I upgrade to a high one.
I have to say, in the new video that resembles Tursai Ossa and I’ll roll with that assumption for now, but even then I have to say, I really do feel bad for these ghosts. I would never wish to be a ghost under the cosmic power of ArenaNet. Being one, would imply that there is no eternal rest for me, I do not spend the rest of eternity in the Mists (aka Heaven) as my life would have ended. No, under the powerful ArenaNet Gods, I would be forever summoned to the world as either a guide for lost heroes of the world who need a clue or become an undead puppet being controlled to full-fill the whim of evil doers or at the mercy of some stupid, selfish Ascalonian King who still believes he can win a battle that was already lost… for… ALL of… ETERNITY! To die as a citizen of ArenaNet… is… a scary proposition
Not a problem, Gaile. I’m actually surprised that no one else has pointed it out.
LOL, I had said this last year at some point, and people laughed and entertained the notion.
It would be awesome if we could get a mini-pet of out own character, lmao
(As if one of us isn’t enough, right? rofl…)
One thing that always popped out to be by any mail that ArenaNet actually sends its player is… the Arena Logo is also in the letterhead. Nice big red lego right there, always tells me the email is official. It’s actually very hard to miss.
It may sound rude or whatever but… I don’t know, to me… when I have read such unbelievable forum posts on various topics regarding people woes about this game, to me, part of me feels that if you do not see the way ArenaNet properly dispenses mail in this game for which one cannot tell the difference between official mail and false player mail, then… to me you’re obviously not paying attention.
To me, the signs are as clear as day, and once I pointed those signs out to my husband, he dawned on him: “Hey, you’re right, it doesn’t have that red logo on it…”
(Beside the point, for those of you noticing and then wondering why, I haven’t decided which character to put the banker golem on yet, that’s why I never took it out.)
Yup, happened to my husband too. He’s not really the gamer in the house, I am, so when he called me in to look at it, I knew immediately. So, I showed him how to report it and then he and I both reported the person who send it.
What bothers me is, to new players who do not know this, they would take it seriously and for what could happen after that? Pathetic.
That’s a daym fine idea!
Some people just love to RP I guess. I, myself, being a veteran RPer…I’m sorry to say, 99.% of the role playing I see in Divinty’s Reach… kinda sucks. (Sorry!)
all the time… everyday…
I find it hilarious… When people make up their minds to quit… they just tend to, uh… do it? Not run to the forums before-hand just to announce it and leave a detailed description as to their doing it…
I have a sneaky suspicion that you… aren’t going anywhere. (shrugs)
The Wintersday 2012 minis were behind gemstore RNG, so if it is re-released, it’ll possibly be in a raffle, like the Halloween 2012 skins were.
Which is B.S., cause I took part in the Raffle, didn’t even win that
We haven’t seen it since 2012. It seems it’s not going to return. At least, not this year as far as we can tell.
I know there was another thread asking ANet to return it, as least to the gem store, but there never was an official response.
My husband and I would gladly pay for gems to buy this mini… He was hoping to would return on the Dec 16th if not today (Dec 23rd), but… sighs
Instead, we get another Lord Faren in a speedo, this time with an Elf’s cap on. Ya know, I never wanted to see that man practically nekked to begin with, now you just threw a hat on him and re-released him…
Lame much?
My GW 2 2015 Resolution: To not spend my GW 2 money to fuel money-making crafting projects that leave me with the same amount of GW 2 money that I had when I first started.
sobs
Breaking even is EVIL!!!
It was said to drop from the Wintersday Mistery Box, yet people in game this morning said that that Mini was only exclusive in 2012… and is no longer available. Though, it is listed as locked on our mini pets screen. My husband and I are dying for this mini, we didn’t get one in the previous years, and… well, it’d be very disappointing if it never becomes available again?
The Mini festive ho-ho tron is cute, but it doesn’t have the same feel
Is it definite that this Mini Festive Golem will never return?
Why do you want to make two of them?
Why ask why? My reason for making two was not my question, and you can’t answer a question with a question…
Okay, I have given myself a goal, but anyone know knows me knows that my goals are… insane, at best.
I gave myself the goal to make two Infinite Lights by Christmas. Now, I have 183 Charged Lodes, but as we all know, they are not easily farmed. Very little I have gotten by way of drops, most of them I have Mystic Forged from Charged Cores. I need 500, but at the rate this is going, I won’t be giving myself a Christmas present.
So, help?
Is there any effective way to gather Charged lodestone and/or cores that is more substantial than getting 3-4 cores a day?
I know with most of these bosses, AoEs are completely out of the question.
Me, myself? I suck at playing a Thief, I’m a born caster, but… I run my thif for the Labrynth, however, everything in game’s been telling me that Thieves Guild is NOT an AoE, yet I can’t help but think that it is, cause I have seen my Thieves Guild go off and attack random targets…
Help?
I can’t decide if this new game funds conversion is Anet’s way of trying to simplify the process (which… it does the total opposite, actually) or… just ween more real life money out of us.
Anet, stop trying to fix things that aren’t broken.
So where did you get the numbers that those who dislike the patch outnumbered those that like the patch by 2 to 3 times?
He probably pulled his numbers out of the same orifice as the OP. When a thread starts with an OP that invents numbers to support his position it seems all too likely that others will follow suit.
He is a SHE, btw… and if you are trying to insult me, you failed.
You call it negativity. A good lot of us call it Player Feedback. Granted there are many downright negative threads on the topic but… these forums were designed for player feedback, which… is kinda what is being posted here.
Though there are people out there that like the feature pack as is… there is obviously double if not triple the amount of those who do not.
We all bought this product, we kinda do have the right to express how we feel about it.
So where did you get the numbers that those who dislike the patch outnumbered those that like the patch by 2 to 3 times?
My whole guild got no problems with it, most people I met think it is OK with rooms for improvement, my friends got nothing to complain about, my friend’s guild is cool with it as well, so maybe it is actually the other way around?
Well, it seems to me that you don’t spend too much time outside of your guild. Where do I get my numbers (which are purely hypothetical, btw), you say?
Oh, every time I log on, in Divinty’s Reach, in Malchor’s Leap, in every area in PvE that I have been in thus far? I am reading NOTHING but complaints from players.
(Let’s not forget the long list of threads in this forum)
Well, I don’t know if any of you would agree or not, but I had posted about my unlikeliness of creating any more characters do to the fact that the leveling system, what’s it’s been changed to, it’s like: Wait… I bought GW 2… this new system is like playing a different game entirely (hypothetically speaking).
It’s not negative of people like us, who spent our money on this game in one way or another, to voice our dislikes about it. We didn’t buy this game just to have it’s leveling system totally renovated to where it masks a completely different game.
I’m pretty sure for my lvl 56 and 23 characters, as per the new restrictions as far as leveling goes…. I have a feeling I may not be the only person who suddenly feels… stranded.
Some people still want to play this game. So they want their concerns addressed. They want to be loyal to this game. It’s hard to do that when things suddenly turn sour. Players who have invested a lot of time into this game don’t want to leave just right out because they are hopeful for change. That’s what makes a good product, when people return and stay loyal.
When you do something that irks lots of players then you either have to do something about it or do something else to attract a different demographic.
nod Well said.

I’m not about to uninstall this game.
You aren’t. I am. I’d rather remember this game for what it was than play it for the mess it has become. ArcheAge releases in six days. If this mess isn’t cleaned up by then, I’m uninstalling GW2.
You won’t even give them a chance to make a mends?
As someone with 11 alts the new leveling changes are terrible.
I’ve had so much fun making new alts and learning and discovering things about races, classes and different Personal Story tracks on my own that were very rewarding.
That sense of fun and exploration is now stuffed.
The gods help new players coming into the game. This is what WoW did, grind levels until you get the changes that make playing fun. It was boring as hell and new players will find it boring as well.Have you tried it though? Just getting from 2 to 3 to 4 etc is pretty quick and harmless. If its the spacing of skills then yeah that may turn into a grind.
I’ll still be making characters though lol, its my thing.
51? I have 17 and I though I was an addict. Sheesh!! You win.
I completely agree! I’m not about to uninstall this game. I think we, the players, the people who put the bread on their table, are making our opinions known clearly and I’m not about to jump the gun and quit. Yes, mistakes are made, we’re only human. Your player base doesn’t like it, so… sit down, think about it, come to your conclusions and come with a solution to fix this.
I fear what the repercussions will be if you keep things the way they are. It’s evident that your loyal players… are not happy.
You must be mistaken, these Quality of Live improvements (QoL) were guaranteed by Dr. Kevorkian, M.D.
LOL! Oh, I feel soooooo much better! (Not.)
Usually I am the voice of opposition when it comes to people complaining about new game changes but…
I have 17 characters. 15 of them are level 80. 1 is lvl 56 and the other is lvl 23.
As of yesterday, I noted on my level 56 character (whom I created in conjunction with a character my husband also created and that we keep synced in level) is that myself nor my husband can continue our personal stories until lvl 70.
Really?
From 56 to 70, what do we do on the in-between? Run events until we’re 70? Craft our way up to 70 just to continue?
Really?
My lvl 23 character, now Personal Story locked until until lvl 30.
The Trading Post restrictions on new/alt characters… I hate to say it: Horrifying.
For those of us who have 2 years of history in this game, you just threw a road-block in our faces. We’re so use to doing things the way we have always done them that now… hypothetically, we wish to roll another toon, here comes ANet slapping our wrists saying: “Nope, can’t do that. Eh… no, you can’t do that either, and you can’t… well, lets just say you have to relearn how to play a new character by scratch in accordance to the new and IMPROVED rules we set up for you!”
I’m so sorry, I doubt I will create another toon, which means, highly doubtful I will purchase another character slot from you in order to make another character.
This is like, you were raised your whole life eating cereal with a spoon, but now as of this feature pack, you’re telling me I have to eat my cereal with a butter-knife.
There are a lot of us who are in there and can’t advance to the Issormir fight cause Eir never opens the door and appears. We’ve been in there fighting the prep battles for 30 mins.
Same for me as well…
In a discussion with my husband and two friends of mine as we all play the game…
Yes, it was chuckle-worthy that the last video preview to come out suggested the Grove had electricity that could be, and therefore was cut off, by the enemy… but… speaking in terms of bio-luminescence and/or luminescence.. this would not ideally have ever happened.
Until… my husband jumped in on the topic, two of our friends following along on his thought-train. In a theory that Mordremoth just sucks all the magic out of everything, thus goes the energy in which allows the luminescence to function. That having been said, he further theorized (and… I’m not sure if he said this seriously or… just to bust my chops… as I have 3 key Sylvari that I run and well, being the type of gal who loves glowy things) that when this happens, he said he would no be surprised if all Sylvari lose their glow and/or all… are threatened to drop dead. cries
I seriously doubt the dropping dead part but uhhh… no! don’t still my glow!!!
That if Mordremoth does have the power in which to drain all the lit energy from the Grove… does my husband have a logical theory that the glow may be stolen from the Sylvari as well?
I don’t worry much about Taimi. Even without Scruffy… to get to her, they’d have to get past Braham. He’s very over-protective of her. He’ll go down before she does, and even then… they still have Rox, Kasmeer, Marjory (if she’s returned) and… you… me… and everyone else to go through as well. That little darling is very protected.
I don’t know what SAB means, sorry
LOL, nice… Now aside from the Kites, you need 250 lockpicks… Better make another pot of coffee
No! Don’t kill Trahearne! Just, um… ya know… take into a moot, get him drunk, the man need to loosen up a bit! That’s all!
I posted this on the wrong forum I think, so I removed it, and reposting here.
Do I really need all of this?
(And yup, I have that many level 80s)
Maybe they are trying to avoid expansions/new campaigns. If you played Guild Wars 1, and I assume you did, then you’re fully aware of what happened as results to an expansion/new campaign release.
Example:
I am a player, I adore Guild Wars Prophecies. Then soon thereafter Factions came out followed by Nightfall then Eye of the North.
I still adore factions… Hmm… I think I’ll go trek Maguuma today… I think I’ll go to Lion’s Arch… grab a group, I need help with a mission…. Let’s go to Lion’s Arch!
{You arrive at Lion’s Arch, no one there… the only sound you may here is aside from crickets is the ocean tide.}
I adore Prophecies… but have no one to play with, why? They’re in Nightfall.
This would not be the first MMO this has happened to either. I have 7 years of Everquest to my credit and as expansion per expansion was release, the original zones became barren. Ever stop to think that ArenaNet may be trying to avoid such a thing happening in GW2?
Let me apologize in advance for this, as this question may have undoubtedly been asked before now, only I have no found it, so here it goes…
I made the back piece last night, and I was left with 32 Clusters left over, sooo…. I wondered a couple things:
1. Should I keep my clusters for future upgrading to this item or… sell them?
2. Is the Vine Back piece bound to change in skin appearance as the Living Story’s continue to be released?
Oh first time I did this on my Ranger, it took me an hour and 23 minutes, of course it was 4 in the morning, but, um, yeah…
I succeeded in it, I pretty much stayed in the back room on the Mender, preventing him from coming into the next room. You cripple, you root, anything… just do it…, between spawns, you may have the time to run in whammy the statue once or twice then run back, it’s a biotch to do, but it can be done.
I really do advise that to make it, do it with a party or just one other friend, even with just two there, it can be completed in 10 minutes. That’s what my husband and I do.
Where is her Katana??? I NEED HER KATANA!!
She never had a Katana in the first place. She had an Odachi
ssdn
Detail, details…
This bother me since the last installment of the living story and hypothetically I discuss this with friends.
Two things:
1. Why does it seem the Pale Tree is in danger.
2. Marjory’s reaction over Belinda opens up an opportunity for Mordremoth?
With friends, we have discussed and came up with:
Pale Tree is magical, Dragons consume magic. Modremoth consider the Pale Tree and thinks: “LUNCH!” <~~~~????
As per Marjory role in this. I am concerned. Is it beyond a an Elder Dragon to use Marjory’s grief against her and try to corrupt her, making her an enemy to us or… perhaps, would she sorta… snap and lose her mind she she may feel responsible for this?
Anyone else kinda notice that per the completion of Foefire Cleansing, we see Rytlock be the typical cat that he is and goes chasing after moving objects without a second thought?
scratches head
I gave him more credit than that… until I seen this…
I had a feeling and per this feeling told me I should start saving up these lockpicks, that they’ll be used next Tuesday and maybe beyond.
However, I am not sure, ship crashed, all the debris from it is in Dry Top, but then again, ship that size crashing, debris could have landed in other places too?
I would just hate to save these up and they become useless next Tuesday.
What do you think?
I think this is an excellent idea, as I have wished for player housing of the home instance for quite sometime now, the idea to do that and/or move all of our privileges of crafting and direct portal and all the mentioned above was added to the home instance… even if Anet wanted to, I dunno, admit player housing and then maybe… as we furnish our homes, make it something we could earn achievement points for…?
Just an idea to add to the above mentioned idea…?
If this game becomes one of those where I have to pay a monthly fee, I’m gonna shoot myself, lol
Definitely, I been hoping for a Purple back flower for months… and… well, that picture to show you, I just believe what a pain that was to do, but I hope it looks alright, even thought the rest if black and white
