Meanwhile, I never mail anything by typing the name in the mailbox field. Not due to caution, due to laziness. I always find their name in the guild roster or my friends list or in chat, right click and pick “send mail.” I don’t think I’ve ever missed my mail target.

You know what? I think I’ll start doing that instead.

As much as I believe in my heart that there are honest person out there, what I sent was 175 ectoplasm, and let’s face it… the odds of me getting that back by the kind-hearted I might have sent it to by accident? High unlikely.

Gosh I am so tired of screwing things up for myself in this game lately.

This summer have been nothing but one huge disaster for me in this game. I’m seriously wanting to cry.

i think you can send mails to charcters too. so you propably send it to a character named “jaymeee”, which belongs to whoever. you can mail him again and ask for a resend. and/or ask the support. chances are that the account you send it too is inactive.

not sure how “alternate” accounts are handled. im pretty sure, you meant you wanted to send it from your account to your girlfriends, right?

No…? What I mean by “alternate” account is: I own 6 accounts total, I was on one of the accounts that is NOT my main account. I acquired this item and I went to send it to my Main account… and basically you know the rest.

I tried sending this “Jaymeee” an adition messaging, asking: “If this is an actual player, can you please send my item back to me. Thank you.”

When I hit send, it just seemed at if the whole thing just went POOF! Gone. sobs

Okay, for those of you who have more than one account, may be able to relate to this.

Tonight I was on one of my alternate accounts, and she had gotten something valuable. So, I took the item and went to mail it to my main account and hit send.

The problem: I was typing too fast, and where as my name is “Jaymee.1560”, as you can see, I typo’d without realizing and hit send, only it was send to just “Jaymeee” No numbers or anything, I doubt it was sent to another player, so basically my husband and I feel that this could be an issue that may be worth submitting a ticket, but I’m not sure.

What do you guys think?

It’s likely around 10G/hr at most when factoring in time to gather the crests for the keys, opening the bags, and listing everything on the TP.

This is fine with me, but that phrase “I can make 80g a day in SWs” is becoming far too common when I am in game, I’m getting rather tired of seeing it, truth be told, cause I’ve never yielded such a profit.

I’ll be honest, I seriously doubt I could run the chest train for 8 hours… I’m stubborn, a tad OCD too, but… 8 hours train running? A bit excessive for me, lol

I have heard that line lord knows how many times and when SWs first came out, I use to live there.

Now upon hearing the notion of 80g a day in SWs, I thought – Hey! Gonna try this, and I did!

5 hours one Sat I went there, i did the events, I did the Breach and VineWrath, did the Maze, heck, I even hopped on the Chest Train.

I didn’t earn any 80g. So at the assumption this might be a load of Dolyak Crap. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to you, and I ask than YOU give me that same benefit in return.

I’m… a little slow, so, if this is not a complete sham, can some explain to me, in DETAIL exactly what it is you do, what it is you get, what it is you do with the things you are getting, in detail. Every piece of loot, no matter the color of how small, what do you do with it – Sell it, you say? Okay, sell it where? Merchant or TP?

What is it that people are doing the earn this amount of gold in one day’s worth of gameplay in Silvrerwastes?

For this topic, in case anyone asks, my Magic Find is 185% base, and can be buffed to 486%-570%

Someone please tell me, this lowly ol housewife, how it is this kind of gold farm is achieved. Remember, I’m asking for any and all details.

Since Karma Boosters converted 2 to 1, you could only claim half of those lost. I’m not sure why anyone converted Karma Boosters at that rate of loss, but if you or he feel the need to contact the CS Team for an individualized response, you can do so via the link above/below.

This may have been brought up already and if it has, I am truly sorry for repeating but I did try and do a search on the subject and came up with nothing.

Karma Boosters, modified in this game, my husband and I understand his but my husband and I also converted our boosters into the Enchanted Reward Boost, which you modified, Anet, Karma no longer exist in those enchanted boosts and while I and my husband wouldn’t care, we do, cause he had 600+ Karma boosts converted, that he attained over the last three years playing this game. Some were free,yes, others… not s much.

My husband goes on BL Key binges every so often, buying gems to open chests, and commonly received the Karma Boost. A boost that was then converted into Enchanted Boost YOU told us was only there to conserve bank space, and now, you took all Karma conversions from the Enchanted Reward Boosts. That is 600+ Karma Boost stolen from my husband and I also had about 119 stolen from me as well due to this change.

I would not be making this post, but my husband is an avid user of those Karma Boosters, they’re gone, he wants them back, cause the moment he realized the core detail of his main boosters were only there because he bought gems to buy keys, he feels entitled to what those chests awarded him. Since he doesn’t come on the forums an all, I make this plea in his stead. And honestly, I can’t say I entirely disagree with him either.

It’s one thing to modify something, it’s another take it away altogether when the acquisition of these items were attained by spending real money. Can something be done about this and if NOT, then explain to me why the Karma Boosts were tampered with, period.

As we all know most of the crafting profession have been bumped from 400 to 500 except for cooking and jewelry, but I seen someone in game last week, go off on this well bent-out-of-shape tizzy about how the concept of 500 Jeweler is… stupid.

They have connected all crafting rank bounced to 500 only to make Ascended. However, from this person’s point of view, via Fractals, we already have Ascended jewelry so whats the point in allowing us to make our own Ascended Jewelry.

I kinda understood their argument, but… ever since I saw the new Fractals Backpiece previewed, well…. cringe Legendary? ACK!!!!

While I love the way Anet aims to keep our accounts safe from hacking… with this SMS, I’m not so sure. What do you all think about it?

Cause at the prospect that I’ll get hacked… which is always a threat, but I have a pretty ironclad password… it’s not like ArenaNet gives us their phone number so we can contact them for purposes of important circumstance? I would should I give them my phone number?

I have been playing since launch and let’s take my guardian for instance.

I have her carrying a greatsword, scepter/focus and a staff. Now we all know we can only equip two weapon sets at a time. Yet, there have been time, too many to count, where it is 3 AM in the morning, I’m tired, I’m playing and after I go back to town, I sort out my loot, sell, salvage, whatnot, and I have accidentally salvaged my staff… numerous times… countless times, cause it is in my bags and, well… oops…

Is it possible that we can equip 3 weapon sets to avoid this from happening?

I think it’s within the last 6 months, from the time of HoT’s unveiling and not before. Sorta sucks a little bit cause anyone who bought the game between now and Jan 23rd most likely bought it at the sale price of $10 or $15 dollars and that’s what they’ll most likely be refunding but… at least they are offering the refunds. It’s better than nothing, right?

lmao, I use my guardian, she has the most bag space, I feel her up with 139 lvl 80 rares and you’re telling me that’s “not enough”?

Ya know… even my butt twitched when I found out I got another character slot, and yes, I mean ANOTHER, my husband and I bought the $99.99 version. I had 22 characters, now with 24 slots, I needed another slot like I need kitten- in the head. Wasn’t quite the apology I looked for but… ya know, at least they gave us one.

It is a game of no monthly fee, I feel as if we’re only allowed so many number of complaints on this. These games are highly expensive to even make. I know where my money is going toward. I’m not gonna sit here and continue to be discontent when they DID address the issue.

Okay, that’s all I wanted to know, guys, and thank you for the sincere answers here. Cause, you have to look at it from my shoes. Everyone in the game, everyone you know it the game, EVEN the man you’re MARRIED to hits the jackpot – TWICE in 3 years, but you never do. It really just seemed as if there was a proper sequence to this, one that I would obviously be doing improperly…

But, if it IS actually all 100% RNG, then the question of whether or not I should keep trying from time to time is completely up to my discretion?

But in this time I have seen many people, friends and random people, heck, even my husband, my own husband… pull a high-value precursor out of the mystic toilet.

My husband on his very 4th try of the MF ever – he gets Zap in 2014. Then, last week, a friend of mine got Dusk from it, I ask her how, I share this with my husband, her good fortune, and…

He says, “Sweetie, it’s a gimick, it’s all random. Watch, I’ll do it again, and you’ll see, I’ll get nada…” 5 tries into it, he gets Spark. Then he looks at me and was like, “Uhhh… heh… err…”

Um, okay, uh… I have had my own tries, I have dumped about 2,000 to 3,000 gold int the mystic forge worth of lvl 68 to lvl 80 rare and exotic gear in there, which I just tried again tonight, and… nada. NADA! After almost 3 years officially, I get NOTHING… yet everyone I know in this game, MF smiles on them, or there get theirs in battle or… ugh… I have a 181% Magic Find percentage, when buffed, I run about at 450% MF, I just, I swear to Grenth, I am vexed. That in 3 years time I have gotten nothing of the sort from any of those two methods, Mystic Forging or Farming and.. I’m just about convinced I am the butt of someone’s joke here.

Mmm… I hate the agree with that but… in a way, I see your point. New players coming into the deal get one hell of a welcoming gift, where as we Veterans… not so much.

All they have to do is give us more digital stuff for the same amount of money. The best would be gems cause it’s flexible. Not everybody needs a character slot or title or a specific skin. Add 800 to 1200 gems to each of the packages would increased the perceived value of those packages. If you already bought a package you have bonus stuff waiting for you next time you log in. Anet sells more HoT, people get more stuff, those who have never used gems before get to experience the gemstore and maybe start buying more which equals for profit for Anet. Everybody wins.

I would accept that, definitely. But seeing as how Anet hasn’t responded yet to the uproar, I wouldn’t bank on them sending apologies in that form.

LOL, I didn’t mean EVERYONE has, but a good lot of us have. Personally, I rather delete a character then fork over 10 bucks just to make another one. This decision came after I realized I had 22 character slots. I haven’t bought anymore since and that was 2 years ago, so… But, I understand where you’re coming from.

Funny thing to me, is, a good portion of this particular controversy could have easily been avoided with the addition of a character slot in the $50 package.

I agree with some folks that discussed in game today that Anet have shown us very little as to what we’ll be getting when we get HoT. Okay, I understand that raises questions. But for other people to start rallying up protests against this… this is where I would stop and say – “Use your head, folks.”

There was someone in DR today who is all but convinced that we are only getting 1 to 2 more new maps. I disagree with this. Just because it hasn’t been SEEN doesn’t mean that what they have shown us is all that’s going to exist.

I also understand a lot of these players are children, so I am likely to not all out ignore their statements, but they don’t come to the forefront of the argument.

It is not cheap to produce these games, and it takes money. A LOT of money. They have paychecks to hand out to their designers. I agree that the price was a little steep at $50 for having no extra character slot but… then again, how many character has anyone of us deleted out of sheer boredem? Therefore, there’s your character slot right there.

I think they could have gone about this a tad differently, but what’s done has been done, Can they truly change it now? My husband and I both bought the $100 package, if they were to change anything how would my husband and I be reimbursed? Think about it.

Husband and I run a guild where only he and myself are members. We want, and are will be getting a Guild Hall. If not for any other reason than, I get to get away from the nightmare-ish map chat I consistently run into. That’s why I had a GW 1 guild, for 7 years, lol.

How many of us are getting a GH just to have some place that is completely ours just to have peace, quiet and no interruptions?

Please don’t be angry with me, but, when you sit, think and realize that half of if not most of the people in this game pay that amount of money in 2 week’s times with $10 or $20 dollar gem purchases, to pay $50 to $75 to $99.99 for the expansion, is… actually not that big of a deal, actually not that much money when you consider what you are getting.

The anger at first was justified. But it’s been 24 hours now, a lot of us have settled down and thought about this, and discussed this. A lot of us are not even angry anymore. This game has no monthly fee. In order to keep it that way, we have to kinda expect these kinds of price tags. shrugs

Mmmm… okay, we paid 50 bucks for GW 2 when it first came out. But HoT is an EXPANSION… not a separate game in and of itself, it is a continuation to an existing story. To set the price on an expansion for 50 dollars… obviously some… find questionable and objective. What makes it worse is, many of us already own GW 2, to we have no need to purchase the Core, yet we did, we had to. We had no choice. But it’s not a Core we get to play, it’s not a separate account, it’s being overlapped by the game account we already own, so fine…

Some people say – Forget about the core, you bought the Expansion. (For… 50 bucks? I can pay two month’s worth of water bills for that price and it’s not even a full standalone campaign) – but an expansion.

I would just really like to know what my money is paying for in this. What am I getting that makes the price tag worth it? That’s all.

I just hope when HoT IS released, that there IS $50 to $99.99 worth of content making it exit. Cause if this expansion runs like a Living Story…. ohhh boy, I am gonna be… mighty angry. Cause honestly? I don’t feel like ANet is “giving” anything to us, to be honest with you.

The quest get bugged when you first come up to Balista… she stalls, it get hung up and the quest cannot move forward as the tanks won’t move without her orders.

This JUST happened like 30 minutes ago, I’m still laughing. I’m putting it on my Facebook too.

The sticked thread said at least 8 weeks before the updates get rolled out, and I believe it was posted on 31st March – today would be 8 weeks to the day from that post. No guarantee it’ll be in the next patch, but could be any time now.

I don’t wanna sound like I’m complaining, as it is really not my intent, it’s just when I have done Temple of the Forgotten God, I don’t expect I should have to do it again later down the road just because I left a character dormant for a year. I was just… confused and it was getting to me here and there, because I only ever did Storyline when I felt like, yet these days, I am running all my toons through it and I’m just like – “Wait, …Uh… um… huh?”
