I know they rolled over the idea of a Ritualist with the Engineer but… the two classes… are like oil and water, at least to me, really.
Having had one of my mains of GW 1 be a Ritualist, I loved the over all idea of having the power to summon spirits in battle to aid or help battle with you.
Thunking a Turret out on the battlefield… doesn’t quite have the same feel to it… Not truly mystical and if anything, in my opinion, when I have play and/or seen an engineer in action… I often wonder if they carry a lifetime warranty from Home Depot….
Mmm, I got 4 in mind:
Of the Mists weapon line:
Longbow
Shortbow
Warhorn
Staff
LOL, sorry guys, I have to wonder this to you all…
This is a question that may or may not have an answer, really but…
Hi there, some of you may know me as Lady Maxxma of the Sea of Sorrows server.
I do not claim to come from a long line of MMOs, myself, but I have started my MMO career with Everquest 1 (back in 2001)
Now in that game, and many others, I am sure, along with many movies no doubt, and since I, myself, just finished watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (At World’s End), it made me wonder something.
Our Guild War Gods, Balth, Dwayna, Melandru, Lyssa, Abbandon Grenth, Komir…
lmao, okay okay okay…. if they were to truly show themselves to us, in actual form, do you think they would appear to us as 100 foot tall creatures. Cause like in Everquest 1 and Pirates 3, and we’ll take Pirates 3 as an example: Calypso… when she was freed from her human bond, she grew to be… quite the lofty lady… I doubt any clothing from Sears or Kohls would fit her, honestly.
Think our beloved Guild Wars Gods may tower that tall?
(edited by Jaymee.1560)
Don’t complain too much. People complained about the sylvari in Lion’s Arch saying “More violets, less violence” over and over so they nuked all the npc’s in lions arch.
LOL!
Been in this game since the 3 days head-start launch, I have yet to have a Precursor drop for me…. I stopped hoping for a drop a year ago, the moment a in-game friend of mine, one whom own, literally owns 4 Legendaries had Dawn drop for him during the Grenth battle.
Congratulations to my friend, but on the same token, he already owned 4 legendaries yet still had a Precursor drop for him… My heart…. sank.
I see some of these issues, yes…
I was prepping to do Tequatl last night with TTS and… Mmmm, yeah they had a bit of an issue setting up multiple maps and additionally the players didn’t know where to go, who to join, etc etc etc…
In GW 1, ANet, you added in there the concept of multiple Districts to all the towns:
Lion’s Arch District 1
Lion’s Arch District 2
Lion’s Arch District 3
Lion’s Arch District 4
Wouldn’t the Magaserver be better occupied by us players if we Districts there to help direct us in major events like Tequatl?
How I miss my Ritualist so…. sniffs thumbs up
Do you find during the course of your gameplay that certain NPCs are programmed to say something that just irritates the ever living out of you?
Here’s mine:
Divinity Reach Male Bank Teller:
“I’m rich, ya know.”
Okay, if he’s so rich, then what is he doing working in a bank?
Just generally asking a question. Why do some people have to be so unhappy?
Really? This game launched in 2012, and when it did there were no champ trains. None at all.
Does it ever occur to some of you that when the champ trains being what they became, ANet never intended for people to just log on and run in a huge circle around Queensdale for 18 hours a day. Literally fighting with those people who were not in the train for taking down the Oak out of turn?
That Champ Train in Queensdale was vile, vile and childish in many ways. Perhaps not every day they weren’t, but most times they were. If you were no in that Champ train, then YOU were not allowed to touch anyone of those champs or else a huge fight sparked.
ArenaNet did not intended for this to happen. Now people are gonna complain because it’s been nerfed?
Does anyone every grow up?
I am noticing many posts where people are just… P.O.’d at the changes that have taken place. Some of them out-right quitting the game.
Why?
It’s a game. Why do some people expect so much? I find most of their reasons to be unrealistic. I’m not trying to start any arguments here whatsoever, I just wanna know are some people so unhappy? Really.
LMAO!!!! Wouldn’t wanna dust off that account
So yeah, I have a lvl 54 character, decked her all out with the new Wardrobe system, LOVED it!!!
Until…
Please, when your character needs a general armor update, please do this first before opening up the door to that wardrobe…. sobs
She was in lvl 45 armor, which I never updated cause I need the feature pack was coming. Decked her all out, all purdy, but it’s still 45 armor… sobs hard Buh-bye to 10 charges.
Okay, I don’t mean to throw another wrench into the engine here but… The guild bank panels only allow you to store 999 gold each. Making it so that you can only store a maximum of 2,997 gold per guild. If I have two guilds, one of them being Personal, then it would be 5,997.
Don’t fool yourself. There are players out there with that much game money if not more.
Now, guild slots. We’re only allowed to be in 5 guilds only. Hate to sayit, but I am within 5 guilds, so… I would have to LEAVE one, just in order to make a Personal Guild JUST to store game money?
Come on now… wouldn’t it just be easier if Anet just allowed us to store our money in our account banks again?
Think about it, Real Life, you, me, him, her… and then that other one over there… We all have bank account in real life, we don’t HOLD all our money in our homes or on our person… (we’d totally be screwed if we were robbed at gun point).
We have money, we keep it IN A BANK… without a cap on how much we can store.
Can we just have out account bank coin storage back?
I think people who have large sums of gold aren’t likely to be people with a lack of self-control. They are also likely to:
-Re-invest that gold in items to make more gold
-Send other gold to other accounts to prevent hackingAlso, your analogy won’t work. In GW2, it’s like hiding all our money in a safe deposit box with a key in the house.
The robbers would just tie us all up and ask for the key, and rob it from there.
Ugh, you had to bring the concept of hackers into it, didn’t ya?
I figure if the account was hacked and the money is hidden or re-invested, you’re screwed either way in a hacking
I’m not sure it would be a valuable use of Dev time, or amenable to everyone, to change the way Gold is stored to satisfy your pet peeve. Some suggestions have been offered. If you find none of them satisfactory, maybe…if the majority of the player-base calls for it…some day Gold storage will be changed, again. =)
If I go to buy an item and the game has a hiccup, lags, and I accidentally buy it twice? Let’s say it was Vision of the Mists I accidentally purchased twice… That’s a “pet peeve” to you? Really? Cause if I am holding 800 gold on my person, THAT not-so-happy accident is VERY likely to occur. That doesn’t fall under the definition of “pet peeve” to me… That falls under the definition of “Oh ****!!!” in my book.

Well, now wait a minute, the whole concept of player marriage is wonderful but we’re missing one vital thing here? Where would they live?
Sure, they can go to Southsun Cove’s tourist location for the honeymoon, but until ANet gives us player homes… we’ll get married, honeymoon, then forever be homeless…
Mawwiage…it bwings us togevah!
ROFLMAO
Doh! Oh, tell me that doesn’t remind you of the original GW 1 Mesmer attire? Why do some of these NPCs have better outfits than we do? Anise be out there looking all sexy and here we casters are stuck in Exalted Armor…
Doesn’t have the same feel to it.
Personal Guild bank.
Okay, school me here… I have a guild, so are you meaning for me to make up a second guild where as I am it’s only member, in which I, once again, devote time and effort into instating another guild bank that would be where I keep my money?
Go get yourself a personal guild bank (everyone should have one, anyway) and use that as personal storage for your gold.
Please re-read my original post. I said I have a guild bank with all 3 panels.
I don’t think it’s a “new low” at all… Some people don’t wanna play RL money for a key to open a chest that would other-wise, on ratio, give them junk.
So, i there be a way to harvest these keys without spending RL money to get them, all the power to these players. Should they farm these key and then open a chest and get something significant, then they can honestly say they didn’t buy it, but earned it.
Self control is a virtue.
LMAO… and it’s one thing that consistently escapes me.
This thread coming severely late I suppose but… um… alright, here it goes.
Okay, last year we were able to deposit money and items in our banks. Now, we can only deposit items.
I personally find it hazardous to my game progression to hold all my money on me. Either I or a hiccup in the game would allow me to spend more than I intend to spend when I am shopping on the Trading Post. Yet, when I was able to deposit money in my bank, this was less of a threat, cause I would only carry on me the amount that I needed when I went shopping. The rest of my coins were safely in the bank where they, in my mind, belonged.
I had to put a lot of time, a LOT of effort into opening up all 3 panels in my Guild’s bank just so I could tuck my money away in there, but then I had to deny any access of my guild members withdrawing from the guild bank just to secure my game money.
(sighs) Will Anet ever put the bank back to the way it was? I doubt I am the only one who doesn’t like holding all their coin on their person(s).
I have come across many who wish Tengu becomes a playable race. Honestly, since I lack that whole avian spirit… I wouldn’t much care to see that. However… I would totally play Djinn if that was made a playable race, and even more so than that, since I’m a girl in all… I’d play a faerie too! Would GWs ever introduce Faeries into the game… or… Djinn… or, oooohhh! Brownies! I’d totally play a brownie!
Whatcha think?
Hi guys, I am not sure if this question belongs here or now, or if it had been asked and answered already, but…
I am noticing with the Blooming Passifloras, or Blooming Passies, as I like to call them, I thought that they liked the Ori Nodes were only farmable once a day per character. However, I am noticing it that the Blooming Passies they are only once a day per account rather that per character, cause I have farmed them in Southsun and then when I log on another toon and go there again, even tho the positioning as NOT changed, the Blooming Passies are not there for me to farm a 2nd time.
Does anyone know anything about this, if I am right, just the confirmation would be good to know.
Thanks!
The mods are being rather slow with this one, maybe they’re hoping we’ll disperse and let it die off.
Fat chance, really. Just close it, there isn’t even an OP anymore and the thread title isn’t the politest I’ve seen. :x
Actually, this thread title in combination with the most mind-boggling post I have seen in a llong time makes absolutely no sense to me.
Someone remind me to never give anything to Gope next Wintersday. He might have a stroke.
What I don’t get about the new changes to silk is… a friend told me, there were just SO much silk that was sold back to the TP, that ANet made it so instead of 2 piece = 1 bolt, that it’s not 3 pieces per 1 bolt… and the thing is, and please if I am wrong correct me nicely, that when you sold it back to the TP, going on the TP, to me, suggest that it was going into a Cosmic vortex, never to be seen again. It’s a computer system, it calculates numbers… I can’t rightful wrap my mind around that somewhere in Tyria, all this silk is held up in a warehouse somewhere…
It’s still definitely 3 pieces per 1 bolt of silk, and 100 bolts to make the weaving thread means 300 silk scraps needed… as for that silk warehouse, we know evon gnashblade is dirty, money hungry and hold the monopoly that allows him to charge sometimes insane “listing fees” (not many people sell legendaries after making them, but most of them sell for amounts who’s listing fee is several hundred gold in and of itself), so the warehouses of silk…or the stuff simply being deleted, wouldn’t surprise me at all
Yes, I understand it is 3 scrap per 1 bolt, but is my friend correct is stating that it went from 2 scraps to 3 per 1 bolt because there’s SO MUCH silk in the game, that Arena rared the requirement of bolts to get rid of some of the silk that sat on the TP in the form of numbers?

LMAO +1 to this post!
I say we take her, slice and does her, add some Ascalonian Herbs, some dressing… have ourselves a nice Scarlet Salad who gives us major boosts during battle… giving us the ultimate last word when we have to go potty…
(edited by Jaymee.1560)
I hate making posts that seem like I am complaining too much, but, lmao…. okay…
Royal Terrace Pass… awesome little object we have right there, leads to a very very VERY useful place.
Problem: Obviously we all do now have just one character that can craft everything.
So in come, okay, we craft one one toon… then have to run to the bank, put the pass in the bank and log on another character whom we specifically left in the Terrace, who at the moment of log in, that lovely little guard at the gate just kicked us out. So then we have to run all the way to the bank to get the scroll, just to get back IN the terrace, lol.
Okay okay okay…
So, what if, for those of us who have the scroll, who bought it, can just account-wide access to the Terrace without having to run back and forth and click then get kicked, then log out, then pick up the scroll again… yeah anyway… that for those of us who bought it, that it is on how account record THAT we bought it, we don’t have to run back and forth like idiots getting that scroll just to use it?
Dodging has saved my sorry butt many times. I run a Mesmer, upon dodging, I make clones, this is one move that has saved me from dying plenty.
My answer has to be: No. Sorry. Keep dodge and vigor right where it’s at.
What armour type do you want the Ritualist to equip in Guild Wars 2?
I would think Rits would fall under the Light category, wouldn’t they?
Oh yes, plz plz plz lemme have my Enya Odone back…
Palawa Joko… sniffs I miss that moldy creep.
Light, medium, heavy and Plus Sizes!
I don’t know how many times was in a dungeon and… it was actually forgotten on who was the party leader, someone leaves and we ALL got kicked.
Funny and frustrating at the same time, the rest of us were like, “Son of a…”
Simple: Don’t go to a dungeon run you cannot finish.
Don’t switch character when you are host.
Of course, real life emergencies should have the courtesy to wait unttil you finish the dungeon, right? lmao…
No offense, but be realistic here…
well, 500 gems for a key was just a number I threw out there. Know ANet, they would charge more than that, lol.
More or less, I meant that if the key were that much more expensive and we bought them, we would know we WOULD be getting something that would be of equal value, instead of getting… a mysterious tonic crosses eyes
I have had this idea for a while now, and every time I wanted to post here, I didn’t cause usually other players just love putting my words thought the paper shredder. (I feel so special)
Anyhoo, everyone else I told about this idea actually liked it a lot and told me to post it here, so here goes.
Black Lion Keys.
People buy gems, use those gems to buy key, use those keys and… get trick or treat bags, wintersday gifts, mysterious tonics. Okay okay okay, I GET that. These keys are also given to you in game as well during the course of your fame play. I get that too.
How about this. Introduce a new BLK. like make THAT key, I dunno, like a green color, sells for slightly more gems, but if a player uses their gems to buy it, they are promised at least something that would deem significant to their account. I.E., a bank expansion, or character slot or bag slot. If they pay 500 gems for one key, a key they know for a fact is gonna get them something of significance, then maybe players would buy more keys.
I have friends, one of which who told me he buy 50 bucks worth of keys and… well, lets see, he has enough mysterious tonics to mix in with his Asti this New Years Eve.
This is the primary reason why my husband and I refuse to buy BLK with out gems, we buy or gems, if we get the keys and get nothing in return, then that’s 10 – 20 – 50 that we just tossed right out the window. If we knew we were gonna get something that would be a significant value to our game on the long term, then we wouldn’t think twice about getting those keys…
LOL, unfortunately, I doubt that will ever happen again. I have even heard that it is within our gaming future that ANet is planning to revamp Claw and Shatter in the same what they did Tequatl.
The idea behind Teq as I understand it is… the Dragons are meant to be a fight that requires coordination and teamwork. It is the only way it will succeed. It’s not too unlike real life.
It is unfortunately that a huge majority of this game refuses to even consider teamwork. It become an issue when too many people are in it for their own agendas. They expect others to do things yet they won’t do those same things themselves.
Example:
Reason 1: Week that Teq had a make over and was re-introduced to Tyria, I was there. For 4 days, each day, multiple times, I tried and it always failed. Many who died were intent on just laying there dead expecting others to rez them. Even some said that they refuse to WP and run back cause they can’t afford WP costs.
My opinion was simple: Sparkly Fen is a lvl 65 area. If you are high enough level to be there but are too broke to do anything requiring money, like waypoint-porting… then you should not be there. You need to go back to the newbie zones and earn some money. It is my opinion that at lvl 65, there is no reason in the world why you shouldn’t have the money to Waypoint port.
Reason 2: You very well can not succeed in a fight such as Tequatl without putting personal opinion aside, quit the bickering and the whining and the finger pointing and – “Oh, you’re a newb and this is all your fault….” Result – The fight will fail.
Now I am not saying no one in this game can do Tequatl, there are many servers and guild who have, but is it a fight that takes time for forethought and planning before you go rushing on up in there. A lot of players unfortunately won’t take the time to do what needs to be done in a battle such as this and as long as there are too many players like that… Tequatl will continue to show up to a vacant party
This is just my opinion.
(P.S., What I stated was/is true for the Sea of Sorrows server… I do not imply my statement to any other server but my own.)
(edited by Jaymee.1560)
I’ve been getting 0-3 consistently.
I mean, consistently getting 0 in 3 out of 3.
Ha!
Gathering enough ecto to infuse the back item took me over a year salvaging any rare I got that would sell for less than 45silver in the trading post. And I’m getting rares practically only from guild missions and world bosses, even now that I have over 125% MF, and over 3,500 hours of gameplay.
It’s just random. No changes in rates unless they said so in the update notes (or there’s a bug and nobody noticed until someone makes tests with a huge pool). You simply got lucky before, and not so lucky now.
I am not aware this question as been asked before… Why am I getting responses like I have asked this question 50 million times before?
Thank you for those who genuinely answered.
The rest of you are just all out rude, I’m sorry
They are not saying you asked this again.
They are saying that people thinks a random rate has been changed all the time, when they get lucky or unlucky strikes.
And since nobody seem to bother to search, or use the forum’s search instead google (the forum search sucks horribly, you have to use google with the parameter site:forum-en.guildwars2.com to find anything in these forums), so posts like this one keep popping every now and then.
Thank you, Mithran, very much… Now that’s a well-rounded answer.
I am not aware this question as been asked before… Why am I getting responses like I have asked this question 50 million times before?

The rest of you are just all out rude, I’m sorry
(sighs) I give up…
Although I am not a moderator, I would like to request that all please refrain from making any more posts attacking other users.
-Thankyou.
As the author of this thread, I wish to sincerely apologize. My question was not meant to attack anyone. It was just a simple question. I find it pathetic how people automatically jump on the defensive about this. About how my post should be burned or how I am whining and doing nothing more than what others are doing. None of that was my intention, it was just an innocent question.
Now, for an innocent question, I graciously note that mostly the men here are claiming that I’m “whining”…* scratches head *
It’s an innocent question, one I am laughing about. Okay, some of you gals don’t care what gender the game population thinks you are. Okay, cool…
Thank you to those who answered the question without any kind of opinionated disdain.
To those of you who are answer the question with a large amount of prejudice… I love you guys, you make me laugh… your input on the subject is less than insightful, not quite intelligent and anything but friendly. Thanks for making me laugh even harder. Some of you are shaking your heads, you say? yeah well, so am I…
And yet once again you do exactly what you complain about others doing.
You have no clue about who are male or female in this discussion, other than those that have stated such, and yet here you are claiming that people are male without knowing it.
I’m only human, sue me, lmao
Again, I am not using this thread as a way to defend female players, it’s a simple question.
Why is it that most guys think only guys play MMOs?
It’s an innocent question… Lets not all jump on Jaymee butt for it.
Because the majority of MMO players are male.
Barely
Very nice! Thank you very much for such a straight-to-the-point answer.
