Seems to me if server A has more players overnight you have two options: fight them or recruit your own.
Who cares where people live or if they’re staying up crazy hours to fight?

I think this discussion is not about if it’s fair or not. It’s just about the endless denying of French servers that they have no oversea help at all. They should just admit it and I guess most people would be fine.
Yes, but why does it even matter if that is said? They could be up ridiculous hours and doing nutty stuff, nobody knows except those that play there — and in the end it’s the results that matter, nothing more.
I could say I wear a pink tutu while playing WvW because I believe it gives me superpowers. Doesn’t mean it’s true. Nor should it affect your gameplay. There’s far more interesting things to debate, frankly.
Stick with the facts: There is a strong night crew. Either find ways to counter or recruit your own. Everything else shouldn’t concern you.
Just curious. Aside from capping the maps to about 60 per team per map, how could Anet control the bandwagoning effect, without limiting people’s right of choice to play where they want to?
I agree they should probably lock transfers once official leagues begin, but other than that, do you think it’s fair to lock people to a server? They could also make the transfer fees significant to dissuade server hopping, but again, if people really wanted to stack or jump servers, they’d find a way — and then people would yell about Anet charging too much and exploiting its playerbase.
Devs have indicated that WvW isn’t meant to be fair. It’s just the nature of it.
I agree that population disparity has bad effects on WvW itself, but this is really something the playerbase should be doing to fix as it’s within its power to do so. You’d think pv-dooring or steamrolling another server would get boring after a while and that players would repopulate the various servers to enhance gameplay. That hasn’t happened, sadly.
. Unless of course you consider yourself an opponent that is so powerful that you could take a T3 Garrison by yourself and a zerg should have come to defeat you …

1. You can’t tell what area that is (no map, no icons, no nothing to refer to)
2. There is no treb showing, only 1 projectile and honestly you can’t tell anything from its direction.

Please tell me that’s from way earlier today. I zoned into psbl this morning, saw them at spawn and told the map it was a lame thing to do. I had hoped they would just let them despawn.
This was seen a lot on NA maps. Was hoping it wouldn’t come over this way. I’ll try to find out who’s doing it, but I can’t do much more than ask them not to. Piken tends to play honorably. This kind of thing discredits that rep.

Just logged back in to check this and yeah they’re up. Sorry about that. Did find the guy who built them, he refuses to not refresh them, so you should know about a dozen Piken have submitted tickets on it. Hope this fixes it, did our best. Nobody on map is happy about this.

Haha, amusingly that’s the one achievement I didn’t even bother with, it seemed like too much of a waste of time. I decided to spend that time taking towers, keeps, camps, zerging, sentry killing, dolyak butchering…
That and sentries, I’m about 12 off from doing that one, probably finish it by the end of the week, but since I got the key there isn’t any pressure.

In almost a year of playing I had never done the JPs in WvW. I actually had to corner two lovely souls to portal me up because I can’t jump to save my life
from the gem store. Biggest argument why pve gets more attention is because they spend gems. Not saying it will lead to more attention than pve, but it could be a foothold to justify investing more resources.
You need to post more. People like you need to post more and drown out your warriors. I know there are a ton of good people on SFR. You’re proof of that.
It’s your problem that you equaling whole server population to forum warriors. We can’t make them stop writing here. Many of them don’t even play GW2 anymore and just trolling here. If you can’t differentiate and build your whole matchup strategy based on some forum attitude, then we’re powerless to do anything. Because there will always be forum warriors and trolls of every side.
SFR never built its fight strategy based on forum. If we focus any server we do it only because of current WvW League state. That’s how we did against Piken, that’s how we did against JS.
But you still refer to some mystic forum warriors from sfr. Who are they? Name them. Report them. But you prefer to hurt ppl who did nothing to you instead. Very well. Stop talking about any good behavior then. Imagine if someone pushed you in subway but you’d yelled at some old man who did nothing. This is how it looks like.
I started this matchup on reset night. The fight at our bl was hard but we did our best. Then one event made me just quit the game. We attacked Piken Hills. Suddenly Viz blob came, wiped us and our siege and just… went back to their keep. Well, I could understand viz not takin some piken objects but I’ll never understand them defending piken stuff like that. Why? You already got your sweet 1st place. We’re the 2nd. Everything is written in stone. Why do you play like that then? I just don’t get it. I wanted some good fights, cuz I thought no one would care much about result which is already set, but nooo… Same old kitten…

Go reread my post. It was a compliment. And a request to at least come here and post more because frankly all we see is your warriors, and with no other posts to balance them out, they start to become the face of your server, even if that’s not the case. If you don’t speak up they win, and they shouldn’t. You have some good people there. Get them here and outpost the warriors.
These guys are affecting how you’re being perceived and resulting action. What happens on the forums very often translates in game. The antagonistic trolling tends to motivate. Someone wise once told me: If you don’t like what’s being said, change the conversation.
And to be honest, your post feels like your blaming us for stuff your guys are doing.
Working as intended. Who cares anyway, everyone knows their victory was because piken are helping them so it carries no real value. They can’t brag about it or claim they are the best, their gold dolly finisher will just be a reminder that they couldnt win without piken. Same goes for pikens bronze finisher. At least other servers can be proud of their league rankings (well some of them except servers who purposefully dropped to silver league to dominate low pop servers, I will mention no names).

This spin doctor technique may have worked in the past, but most are only seeing an angry kid who takes a video game a wee bit too seriously.

Would agree with you if that was the case, but in first round Vizunah was just too kitten impregnable, so Piken had no choice but to try SFR. Unfortunately Vizunah/SFR had a long antagonistic relationship before the leagues. So the animosity quickly used (the psych term) transferrance, and a lot of propaganda was spread around SFR to get the troops frothing. Sketchy stuff ensued, deliberate and openly expressed in match threads. Their forum warriors were so bad, that both teams are now openly admitting to focusing SFR in final match.
What they should realize, in first match the never ticked below 150 or so. Tonight they ticked zero.
Congrats to the Vizuniens and Pikeneers for making us tick 0 points. Ouch!
I hope we can muster up some moral and keep battling hard the rest of the matchup.

Document it and submit a support ticket under “violations”. It works, if you present them with enough facts over a period of time. Usually takes them about two weeks to do their due diligence and not falsely ban someone. But you have to pretty much submit irrefutable proof.
That includes:
Multiple screenshots
Fraps (link for it)
Date/time where it happened
Where/what map/which server
Griefers account name and toon they were playing while doing it
Your account and toon you were on when you witnessed it.
If it only happens once, they won’t do anything. Repeated griefing is key, over a period of time.
Viz and SFR are really only equipped to fight with each other. Any other third server in that matchup, including Piken, just winds up being a witness. The gold league wasn’t that bad, except for knowing from the get-go who would win it. The fights were good, the matchups challenging, and all the servers in the gold league gave a good fight — with a few nail biters too.
I think if SFR and Viz had to face off against each other more (they only saw each other at start and end of leagues), it might help a bit.
1. If you say anything negative, you must take a shot of alcohol (your choice).
2. If you chest thump too hard, you must take a shot of alcohol (your choice)
3. If you attack and attempt to provoke others, everyone just hit that “report” function and resist replying .. then take a shot of alcohol (your choice).
Enough shots and everyone will be too drunk to care about flaming. Or passed out. Both work.
The first server you logged into WvW when leagues started you are locked into. Your reward is tied to that server., not the new one, so you can zone into WvW on your new server all you want. In any event you have the WvW meta to finish before you can even get a reward, and while you can get it done in about four days, you’ll have to hustle or not get the key to unlock the rewards. There’s a lot to complete.
Except that it can be abused, and not for the reasons you’re outlining.
Not that it would make much difference, it already happens. Having a formal guild for it actually would increase the karma train, not decrease it, with cross-server chatter to coordinate tower trades and map flips.
If you don’t click any buttons when it pops up and just let it time out, it dumps you back at the top of the queue again. If you click “re-enter queue” you go back to the end of the line.
