Marking players, maybe. Honestly, I’m all out for removing watchtower upgrade from the game and making every NPC that see a player to mark it (that include Tower/Keep Guards). But this kinda could ruins small group offensive since people would be able to see “hey look there are 5 people there, we can take our 20man blob and mow them down and move on”.

Oh please Jeknar if all it did was promote bunkering and siege wars you would have commanders parked up in them all the time, and you don’t. You can roam the map all you want and hope to run into a good fight, fact is attacking a structure it’s like putting up the bat signal for a fight.
Tell that to the people sitting on these walls and not comming down to fight even when the numbers are even. Hell sometimes even when they outnumber they don’t come out. And most of the time, if you ever breach a wall when players are inside, they just wp without even trying to make a last stand.
Thank you for the replies. On my character I boosted, I’ve been doing WvW, and I have one of the tracks going now, I’m getting mostly crafting resources, though. I don’t know where or how to craft that either. The WvW vendor is the one right when I enter the mists, right?
You need to have done the Story mode of the dungeon to have the Dungeon track open, otherwise you’re stuck with the one open in the rotation.

Because it’s a game and the structures are there to promote fighting.
Structures close to each other promote bunkering and siege wars, not fighting.
Dire and Plex are probably one of if not the most powerful roaming set out there right now. My current build is nigh unkillable in a 1v1 with only a few builds able to bring it to a draw.
Course Durability runes on pretty much anything is just as OP.
You just forgot to mention that you play thief. So you not only have dire and plex but you also have stealth and the highest mobility int he game. Honestly it’s not hard to be unkillable at these conditons. A dire perplex necro in the other hand is likely to die a lot.

Remove dire and we reroll Trailblazer.
Balacing condis are the issue here, not a specific stat combination. But I don’t know how they could balance it without making them more useless than they already are in large scale fighting.
And honestly, most HoT elite specs don’t really favor condi builds. I haven’t had much problems with conditions other than a condi chronomancer since the nerf of chill on reapers. Warriors are a pain, but I normally have a easier time beating a condi warrior than a full power zerker with loads of passive sustain.

Blackgate, Tarnished Coast, Jade Quarry and Piken Square are all full. You have to move to another server if you want to WvW with your friends because I don’t see any of these servers opening anytime soon (Or if you are on JQ your friends can join AR and still WvW with you until August 26th, when the pairing change). You can still do all other aspects of the game with them tho.

Make the Northern towers strategically meaningful. You can treb Garri from the northern towers in Alpine making them a good asset to control offensively and defensively.
Honestly, this is what I like on DBL. You cannot just sit inside a tower and treb it from safety. You have to actually go to the objective or treb from open field if you wanna do some progress. I’m pretty sure the people who yell “NO MORE SIEGE WARS” never took that fact in consideration when they cried for ABL back.
Either way, idc. We have ABL to do Treb wars and DBL to fight in the open. DBL don’t need any more changes after the ones made in april (Except maybe for the stupid air keep which can be simplified a little).
ANET apparently intends to make NA player contributions more important than “off hour” players. So to ANET if you don’t play during NA times, you are a lesser human being.
I play NA btw. I just think the idea of making some players less important than others is a bad one.

Lets say a guild plans on claiming a keep and is going to tactivate it and remove public tactic activation so that they can properly regulate the usage of the tactivators. Now lets say an Anet dev nabs it first and guild claims and has public tactic activation by default and then disappears. Now a different guild tactivates it. Next, someone starts trolling all of the tactivators and no one can do anything about it because of the public tactic activation. Now we have arrived to a situation where it actually would have been better if a different guild had guild claimed. Is this still favoritism by Anet?

I didn’t start the thread so I’m hardly flipping tables, just asking a question. I don’t really care that much but if their guild was just automatically given max buffs and tactics and is then actually using it in game on only certain servers then I think there’s at least the appearance of a conflict of interest.
If it was the start of the expac when guilds were still leveling up and stuff, I would stand with you on this. But now? Almost 1 year into the expac? Not really a issue worth to even bring up imo.
When I get run over by a 30-man blob of red names spamming one and all repping ANet, then I’ll consider it being favoritism.

It doesn’t hurt anything as long as it is on public for tactivators.
But did their guild actually have to grind to raise the guild level to get those tactics and other guild buffs?
If they didn’t what’s the problem? You are mad that they didn’t had to go through the same gold sink? It’s not like they are the only max level guild in the game and are giving some kind of super advantage to the server they are on. There are several guilds with max level auras out there and Anet guild problably don’t give anything more than those other guilds do. You people are just flipping tables over some minor stuff.

The problem is plain and simple. Favoritism. If you can’t see that a company who administrates the game should not play favorites you don’t understand what favoritism is.
ANeT, as stated is an admin guild. They have special privileges that normal player guilds don’t. They may have the same effect as a normal guild but it tells the other servers that ANeT favors the other server.
I come from a military background where I could not show favoritism due to my position. To do so would tell the other lower ranking people that I will chose someone over them. This is very similar. The ANeT devs represent the company. This means that if the claim an objective for a particular server they have chosen that server above the other servers. i.e. Favoritism. And unprofessional in the business world.
It would be favoritism if they were gaining some advantage, which they are not since any buff Anet guild can give, a player guild also can. And I’ve seen Anet claim objectives in several servers. Favoritism cannot be a general thing.
Also you talk about this being unprofessional in the business world, but this isn’t business my friend. Maybe it would be a problem in their e-sports spvp which have ESL and other championships, but WvW is just a part of their game which isn’t involved in any kind of external business. By the way you putting it, it means that if I do Forsaken Thicket with an Anet player it means my group is being favorited over others because we have a Anet tag on our raid while others do not.
Oh yeah, I said their game. They can do whatever they want and you don’t really have a say on it since you agreed with the EULA (you know, that huge wall of text you just scroll down and press “I accept”).

Honestly, considering that most large guilds in this game already have all the WvW auras, I don’t see a problem. Even in my server who have lost several guilds we still have enough guilds to claim everything with all auras. What’s the problem of ArenaNet guild claim if it’s the same as pretty much every other guild? At best it’s a issue for the owners of the keep because people will want to take it down at all costs just like they would chase a Anet tagged player.
They already said they intent to add the mistforged weapons and the triumphant hero armor as a rewards. They are just trying to figure how they are going to attach it.
How about a portable, magical Wheel of Fortune into which you can toss any unwanted account and soul bound stuff for random prizes and surprises?

You can already buy shards with the karma you gain from flipping stuff, I don’t really see why it’s needed. But I surely wouldn’t mind more things for BoH.

Please add a kill death ratio for every players in wvw, please anet. With weekly or monthly reset or permanent record.
Kind of impossible since the score is based on just deaths. A kill would only be creditable if a foe took 100% of its damage from a single person, for then just going by kill credit by tagging, a group of 30 could tag one random guy and each of them would push a KDA. Eles and AoE classes in zergs would have tremendous scores considering it’s common that on a given death they’ll rack up many, many assists.

We’ve had the outnumbered buff on CD 24/7 for 12 months or more,you have it a few hours a day for a few weeks and suddenly it’s an issue for you??
Pretty sure CD was rising before the links began… Don’t make me link CD previous matchups and make you look like a idiot. Only servers who have been at the bottom of the barrel for long periods have the right of crying somenthing like that (Hello Eredon Terrace) and even them weren’t losing prior the linking (AR was the lowest during the few last weeks).
The way you talk tho you must be one of these people who think winning is more important than having a fun balanced match.
There are plenty of roamers out there that will give you fights.
Lately, not so much… The run-away meta is strong these days…
Now once you balance numbers, there are still other problems, and my suggestion was to remove momentum that allows fortified keeps to be held easily all week with 1 defender vs 10-20 assaulters.
1 defender cannot hold that many people unless the attackers are completely stupid (and I know many are since I’ve done that kind of defense already). If an outnumbering attack force cannot breach wall when they have superior manpower they don’t deserve the keep.
Sure, give more reward for stacking a server to win when population imbalances are bad enough without even giving rewards…
This topic is already being discussed on this thread. T4 only hope is that the increasing of rating that they intent to do at the 29th be enough to make CD roll a T3 matchup. However with YB feeding rating to the other T3 servers, they will either have to give more rating than they previously planed or we’ll just have to stick up with this match until the pairing change at August 26th.
The real question is, how are the DH and SF linkings so much less populous than the rest.
Honestly, they weren’t… In the first week of the links we had 2-3maps queued on reset and we would had EBG queued constantly during pirmetime. But as the match goes on, people leave out of boredon. Fighting CD omniblobs at every corner gets old quick. Hell I bet even CD is bored at this point since there is barely anyone to fight anymore. Sometimes I just log in wvw for a few minutes to do my dailies and if there isn’t enough guildies to form a good party, I don’t even bother in keep playing it. I’ve made a lot of PvE progress thanks to that.
The issue in these towers is that they are only supplied by 1 camp while all other objectives in the map are supplied by 2 or 3 camps at same time.
Also, keep in mind that asking for them to become easier to upgrade end up in making it easier for attackers bunker on it and upgrade it against you. Honestly I don’t see any issue on them right now. They are fairly easy to hold with very few siege pieces.
I still want flak to be part of all this gliding suggestions. Honestly, Mordrem Snipers pretty much one shot you if you try pass by them while gliding. We could use somenthing similar if we are ever to glide in WvW.
Like when they do balance they completely destroy skills in a manner that nobody ever use them again, instead of doing incremental balancing like Blizzard does or other MMO companies. Nobody uses turrets anymore, good balancing! Nobody uses Ice Bow anymore, good balancing! I don’t know how they can justify that.
Turrets always were trash anyway (except the healing turret) and people only ran turrets on spvp because all you needed to do was place all turrets and afk on the spot.
If there is a meta build, it’s unlikely that you’ll see people running a skill set other than the meta one. They can do all the balance they want, you’ll still have very few players running somenthing different. It’s like this on every game.
Yes I could run anti condi, but thats a whole different build, and Revenant for example can only counter condi with condi.
I have a friend who would disagree with you… He been able to destroy most full condi builds out there (except chronomancer and some condi thieves) using power rev.

They took 3 years to add 3 other colors to commander tags. Come back in 10 years and you may have your guild emblems as tags.

They where so eager to further explain the functionality of hammers last vote but have said nothing about the cannons, particularly control functions, relative attack strength compared to current siege and supply costs.

Not sure if you are serious, this topic seems to generally be filled with trolls.
In case you are, the AoE cap is not a gameplay limitation but a technical limitation, say they do what you ask… it is highly likely that day no-one could play WvW because the servers would constantly crash or those who do manage to get in would be experiencing a slide show.
Honestly, they should do it. Then after all the horrid lag and crashs that will happen over the entire day they will be able to say “We told you so”.

I’d argue on this one… I find better use of general condi duration for necro much better than simply adding confusion. Burn guardian cannot make effective use of perplexity as they have little to no interupt methods. Condi rangers gain much more benefit from the stealth from trapper runes than adding confusion to their set.
Honestly, I think the only professions who can actually pull the full potential of perplexity are thief and mesmer (maybe berserkers now, but I’ve only seen burn based ones). And with it, I’d say Nightmare runes are more close to being the Durability rune for condi builds.

Cele scrapper with durability rune is quite strong.
Also had my fun with Cele reaperAny bunker running Cele with Durability is a bear to bring down. Guardian, DH, Warrior, Tempest, Scrapper, etc… They all work mainly because of the OP-ness of Durability.
Any profession that have boons will make good use of durability runes. Honestly, right now, there is almost no reason to not pick these runes in pretty much any build.
