If they removed the boon duration, everyone would complain that Leadership runes are OP because that is what people would switch to lol..

Leadership stats are kitten tho and the aoe proc on it is on elite skill cast. They are nowhere as good as durability, hence why they aren’t used atm.

It is channeled and does far less damage than Rapid Fire that has nearly twice its range. It also does not have a pierce capability.

Honestly, I never seen Rapidfire hit harder than Unload. Even more after unload started to stack might per hit.

I literally go about 75% of my fights (at least ones I see coming) without ever taking a hit.

Yeah I deal with that crap every day. Between retal and resistance anet really needs to give rangers a way to strip boons.

Considering everything is a boonfiest now, every professions could use a bit more boon removal options. And please, reliable ones, not 45 secs to remove 3 boons which will be reapplied at least 2 more times after you can cast it again.

Thx to the Boon Share meta allmost nobody runs Condi Builds these days. Many Guilds/Publics dont even use Boon Share anymore and only use the Dur. Rune because its just a good rune.

I don’t know what game you playing but I still see a huge ammount of condi playershere on GW2.

Also after they nurfed the lemongrass food that gave -40% condition duration, it really hurt groups who ran it to combat against conditions.

But they also nerfed Rare Veggie Pizza and Koi Cakes that gave +40% condi duration. The food nerf has already been balanced out.

Condi Bomb Necros are the new offensive strikers in skirmish. BOO is running a setup that absolutely melts players in a couple seconds while maintaining a very strong bunker setup. I couldn’t engage them long enough to decipher their blend I kept going down so fast.

But isn’t BOO a zerg guild? This thread is about roaming.

As for voice chat in game, I’d be all for it but hardly any PC game has it. I wonder if teamspeak and the like throw kickbacks at the game industry to not use it.

And every game I know to have it, most players don’t use because it’s buggy.

Dh is dead. There are no WvW guilds left aside from semi-to-not active ones. Most people already gave up WvW until the next linking due the constant loopsided match we have been put unto.

Honestly, I’d take this over the Pirate Ship meta any day of the week. At least it’s not a just a bunch of mexican stand offs that go no where for an excessive amount of time.

At least on pirate ship people had to watchout or they would die to enemy pick team. In this ridiculous meta it’s just two balls clashing which each other as if both were wearing full minstrel since no damage seen to occur.

But can you see? Boon corrupt was always there… Just like the signet of inspiration.

The problem is now everyone and their grandmother is flailing numerous boons around and getting more boon removal is a must to counter that. And the only viable boon removal is boon corrupt since other removals are either an aoe field which only remove 1 boon per pulse and can be easily skipped (Well of Corruption/Null Field) or have a super long cd to be viable (Arcane Thievery 45 secs cd).

Also I’ve noticed zergs running way more necros these days, replacing elementalist I suppose.

That’s the only way you can have enough boon corruptions to fight other zergs, since all other professions are bad at ripping boons. And don’t even dare to say thief with the new changes. Thief is a joke who can’t live 5s in a zerg fight.

The problem with NA-T4 is that the main server it is populated with are in reality T5 server (rank 13-15) and not the T4 server (rank 10-12). https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/de/na/wvw

This produced an impassable border, not glicko itself.

Because Anet wasn’t smart enough to see this when they choose to use the ratings of the host servers amirite? Honestly, we been asking for glicko reset for quite a while now and I think they should bring that to pool asap.

Your calculation for damage reduction is false, just saying. Damage reduction is not additive, but compounded. I.e… 33% protection plus 10% damage reduction from rune does not equal 43% overall damage reduction. I think it comes to something like 35% or something like that.

Protection given by tempest is 40% not 33%. That’s why it’s 43 and not 35.

Elementalist and Revenants because they give lots of boons. Eles also have usefull fields and can be aurashare with the trait that heals on aura application. Shout guardian was also pretty popular pre-HoT but you don’t seem them anymore as much.

HOW-TO Ring Infusions for WvW

Except we do have, they are the extractors sold in the gem store that removes any upgrade.

The price you pay for getting fractal mastery, which I have to say doesn’t take long and experience for the line can be earned while not actually in a fractal, is cheaper custom made extractors. But you never had to destroy the infusion before, just spend more gems if it was worth taking out.

Complaining about spending a few hours getting a mastery to buy cheaper extractors very funny too. Especially after we told all the pvers GOB track only takes 8 hours

Base game players cannot get masteries my friend. They cannont “spend a few time in PvE to get cheaper extractors”. My point still stand.

And really, there is NOTHING in the game that justify the price you pay for the gem store extractor. Anything you may want to extract is problably cheaper on TP than the price you pay to covert gold to gems and buy the extractor.

How about 50% against sieges only? There are several skills who have 2 instances of damage depending on target. They can easily make that.

Yes my Thief is really struggling in WvW now. My Unloads only do 12-13K each against other squishes. My AoE damage with an evade skill, Vault, only seems to do 14K damage. My dagger auto-attack chain only does 7K damage in around 1.5 seconds. My unblockable distance closer, Shadow Shot, does just 6K per use. It’s a good thing that I can’t use these skills more than once in quick succession!

Also my dodge rolls seem to do just 5K AoE and my Impairing Daggers with Mug combo only seems to do 8K damage as an opener – it’s horrible. Also, my Basilisk that I was already using also happens to be applied to people around me with absolutely no investment. I can also chain multiple dodge sources with a bit of stealth to exit almost any encounter. It’s absolutely miserable and impossible to play!

This sarcasm is killing me, stop!

Guild Hall instances constantly closing.

Every time my guild decides to go to the Guild Hall arena to have some fun fights, the guild hall instance close every 5-10 minutes. It’s really annoying having to change the map everytime and sometimes people get kicked to different instances of the map if they are representing different guilds.

but if you then want to stealth again and the enemy has just 1 stack of bleeding that does 1 more tick while you are in stealthed and you would get revealed from that?

This would break the skill caltrops and uncatchable. Thief drops caltrops . Thief then Stealths . Enemy runs into caltrops field to reveal thief. If I am fighting a stealth thief and see those little red circles from uncatchable, I am running into them. I will take the bleed in return for a reveal.

In essence you eliminate traps caltrops and uncatchable from stealth thief builds as they become akin to the old last refuge and get thieves killed.

If I was a thief wanting to use stealth I would never select those skills .

Except that you are actively choosing to engage by placing down caltrops/traps. Uncatchable(trait) needs a rework period.

You should be forced to chose the relative safety of stealth, or the attack of opportunity provide from leaving stealth, not both at the same time as that leaves 0 room for counter-play outside of nuke at my feet and cleanse.

As hinted at earlier the problem is how stealth is implemented in the game. It’s silly and far too long lasting in most cases.

Same can be said about all the invulns being thrown around while still being able to damage players.

Nobody can be perma invulnrerable like a thief or mesmer can be perma stealthed. You comparission is silly.

The comparison is you should have to choose the relative safety of invulns or damage, while in stealth you still take all forms of damage it can be removed vey easily and takes a lot of resources to set up and maintain, on top of the thief only being able to apply 5-6 condies tops 3 of which are the only damaging ones..

The sad thing is, i agree with the comparison. I don’t believe you should be able to cast while using panic buttons, it defeats the purpose of making a trade off which should be what all skill interaction/cast are about.

If you choose to attack from stealth it should break, if you choose to attack after using an invulnerability skill it should end early. Just my 2cents about balance. I know it won’t happen as it would confuse most players but that’s the direction i’d like to see gw2 take especially if it wants its PvP elements to be rewarding skilled play.

Elixir S already block all actions while you are in the invulnerable form. This could be extended to other invulnerabilities.

And perma stealth acquired by the thief has nothing to do with caltrops or or uncatchable. The solution is a poor one and ill thought out for a class so relaint on stealth to survive.

Ah, so a thief in perma stealth killing me with traps and condi through steal who doesnt reveal ONE TIME isnt a problem? The stomp in stealth, I havent even seen the thief ONE TIME. Has it nothing to do with it? Seriously?

It’s nearly as bad as the mesmer who portals away at the start of a stomp and comes back at the end of it, so you can’t interrupt him/her.

Have you ever heard of Shadowstep stomp? It’s pretty much the same as portal stomp, except that shadowstep cd is lower.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I’d be perfectly fine losing by a tiny margin. It would mean that next week, adjust your strat, you’d have that 33% chance of winning. It would engage more players and solidify the need for team vs individual. It would give meaning to wins, which are meaningless now.

The average player these days don’t care about all that. It’s just win or nothing. That’s why badwagoners exist in the first place and nobody want to try uphill battles at the lower tiers.

CC isn’t damage. I’m pretty sure all damage is there already and that’s exactly why this kitten is so confusing if you don’t filter out anything.

As far as I’m aware, none of the choices reached the threshold, so they just did some math and picked the value closer to what the majority voted.

Yes and the hundred or so more items that should be in there but aren’t… since we asking for items we will probably never get… how about the ability to save it out.

Combat log: I don’t know… why can’t you figure it out?

Or they can just add a line written “You downed” and “You died”, so you can see the time it happened and make it slightly easier to figure it out. and shouldn’t be too hard to add this one honestly.

Since we’re talking about fractals, we could use having Infusion Extractors not blocked behind the Fractal mastery. It prevent all base game players from being able to remove Infusions from their rings without destroying them.

About +200/300 glicko stuff: Why does there have to be a luck-effect on matchmaking anyway? If arenanet thinks some team should play t3, they could just let them play t3, just like we had no say in the server-combinations that were done (SBI +HoD is a lot of fun btw. and a good combination imho). If a server plays another server for half a year and gets demoralized, just change it up. Why the luck? Just so you can blame the roll if people aren’t satisfied with it?

Because, in the past, servers had to overcome the glicko from the server in the tier above to be able to move up and it would make the matchups even more stale than they already are. Adding the random element allowed servers who were winning at the tier below to have a chance to roll a matchup on the tier above and compete for it.

Honestly all we need is glicko to be reseted every pairing and surely fiascos like T4 won’t happen again. If CD moved up sooner, maybe T4 would still be active. Now it’s a wasteland because everyone bailed out of it and there is no T3 server that will fit as the 3rd contenter.

but if you then want to stealth again and the enemy has just 1 stack of bleeding that does 1 more tick while you are in stealthed and you would get revealed from that?

This would break the skill caltrops and uncatchable. Thief drops caltrops . Thief then Stealths . Enemy runs into caltrops field to reveal thief. If I am fighting a stealth thief and see those little red circles from uncatchable, I am running into them. I will take the bleed in return for a reveal.

In essence you eliminate traps caltrops and uncatchable from stealth thief builds as they become akin to the old last refuge and get thieves killed.

If I was a thief wanting to use stealth I would never select those skills .

Except that you are actively choosing to engage by placing down caltrops/traps. Uncatchable(trait) needs a rework period.

You should be forced to chose the relative safety of stealth, or the attack of opportunity provide from leaving stealth, not both at the same time as that leaves 0 room for counter-play outside of nuke at my feet and cleanse.

As hinted at earlier the problem is how stealth is implemented in the game. It’s silly and far too long lasting in most cases.

Same can be said about all the invulns being thrown around while still being able to damage players.

Nobody can be perma invulnrerable like a thief or mesmer can be perma stealthed. You comparission is silly.

The problem with T4 is that the lopsided matchup with the quadserver took place for far too long. Anet delayed this change so much that everyone pretty much already moved out of the tier or is doing somenthing else and not bothering about WvW. Problably 2-3 weeks ago we would still have man power, but now there are only 5 dead servers.

But I would like to see closer scores overall. I know that’s asking a lot but for the benefit of players and the risk of demoralizing driving more players outta wvw. We can’t lose anymore, fact anet and you’re doing an excellent job driving them off.

Unfortunely it’s too late for T4 for that. Maybe 3 weeks ago we would still have people, but now everyone is pretty much gone to other servers or is farming Bloodstone Fen to even bother doing WvW.

I wouldn’t call a 50k lead a landslike when I’m used to see 200k-300k leads. Besides that was the only week SBI/HoD won because all the previous ones Maguuma was still in T3.

I can only assume FA and Maguuma queued all maps aswell.

I’m just pointing that your argument about small queues when all 4 maps have one is flawed regardless of the size of the queues.

You are very right, the queue means nothing. I was just simply stating that it was very low for a tier one server, while the queues on DB were 30-40 all night on the bls and they are a HOST server that is still open.

But there are IoJ people taking space on DB queues tho. The only way we’ll know if DB is really “full” worthy is when IoJ gets unlinked. We can already see that DB+IoJ is worth of “full” status, but changing the current status would be unfair if the servers alone aren’t worth of it.

In the end, nothing is fair in WvW… All is vain.
