I honestly find playing in a 4 year old map more torturous than playing on DBL.

When did I said I play in the Eternal Blobgrounds? That’s another 4 year old map which is even worse because everyone flock it. Mindless pug blobs everywhere. I only go there if I feel like zerg dodging.

Good to see they corrected a vunarability in a typically green controlled tower, now if they’d just make red Keep un-trebable from SM.
well smc is trebable from red keep also. so not a big deal it even out. since the other 2 keep you can do that only from tower and tower are harder to defend then keep.
I still would preffer if Overlook and Stonemist wouldn’t be able to treb each other. The red team is suposed to be the weakest team in the matchup and is already in a tight spot with 2 worst towers and the worst supply camp to defend. When the strongest team is able to upgrade SMC the red team can forget about having a upgraded keep in EBG for as long SMC stands. I don’t mind the towers around SMC being ‘trebeable’, this is actually the tactical advantage of holding it, but the whole OL-SMC treb war is just stupid.

One thing i can tell you, is that wvw players havent the same mentality of pvers grinders, so we don’t give a kitten about reward tracks XD, we play for fights and we have fun fighting, our fun is not coming from opening the loot but from killing the opponents.

That doesn’t mean ppl play for rewards, it means they see the difference between the two an common sense would dictate that reward/loot progression should be close to equal. It’s the principle more then anything I would think.
But this person said we don’t care about rewards, then why would we complain when the rewarding is poor? That whole “WvW players don’t care about rewards” thing is a lie.
Sure, we don’t want to turn WvW in EotM 2.0 by overflooding it with rewards, but I’m thankful for the reward tracks as they now increased the poor income I have from playing mostly WvW. That mean less time on PvE and more time in the game mode I want to play.

They posted somewhere they are thinking about putting the mistforged weapons and the triumphant hero armor as some kind of reward (not as tracks). They just didn’t said how or when.
People still think DBL is a problem? You’ll still have 2 ABL there and I bet my left arm there will be several servers holding the outnumbered buff in these maps.
The only thing I can suggest is Contemplation of Purity instead of the Test of Faith for when you get the condi burst (oposed to what most people think, even condition application have a downtime). I don’t think there is any other change that will be significative.
You however have a major problem with the d/d condi dd because your weapons are full melee and that put you right where they want you to be so they can spam death blossom on you. I can only suggest a scepter instead of sword or longbow instead of greatsword.
Hammer primal burst is kitten. If you’re going berserker, GS is much better. Hammer/Sword+Warhorn (who the kitten runs shield on a zerg?) is good if you’re going core tho, earthshaker and Hammer 3 will tag a lot of enemies anyway if you problem is getting bags,
Anet needs to drop the overstacked servers down as far as T3 so the players will eventually realize that in order to get fights they will have to de-stack.
Bring them to T4. They will be playign alone like any other server that drops here anyway, and honestly DH and SF have nothing more to lose.
And yes not being able to counter siege is a problem when the supposed weakest server is being stuck with the bl. A determined zerg will eventually make it into any keep but it requires a lot of work in alpine since you can counter siege and slow them down. In the dbl the zerg just has to hit certain points and they will roll right over the smaller force.
Nah… ABL is also full of spots where you can no longer counter siege. Worse: These are the double wall spots. If a larger zerg decide to take Garrison by the NE wall, God forbid they have elementalists, because nothing will hit these catas except for a AC on top of that wall (which will melt in seconds to meteor showers). Same goes for Bay. Sure, on Bay you can counter treb them when the outer wall is down. But you need to shoot with lot of power, and the attacking force can easily rotate 2 bubbles to deny 1 treb of hitting. Imagine if they have 4-5 catas. You’re not stopping that. Hills is problably the only structure where you can proper counter any attacker siege.
The problem with DBL before was that the defending team never had enough people because everyone but the karma trainers refused to play the map. So it’s not a map design problem. It’s a people’s mentality problem.
Did you make any significant changes since its last appearance or is it still crap?
Did you played them after the april patch that did some drastic changes to it (shortening ways and removal of barricades)? It’s problably the same as after this patch, just with a few tweaks.
Awesome, we get mixed BL’s and split up the last week of these linkings and get two matches out of it. So whoever gets stuck in T4 may only be there for 4 days.

And honestly, I find very hard to belive YB is winning anything with less people when my server always have outnumbered buff when YB have a group in the map. Maybe it’s SF who is losing when they actually have people, but surely it isn’t DH simply because DH no longer have people.
Also, backcapping is boring af. You think people like being able to only PvE on wvw? They just go do actual PvE instead which is much more profitable.
Population refused to balance itself in the past. Why would them do it now? Doing hard merges will just recreate the stale enviroment we had prior the links.
The Links are bad? Honestly, no. They made WvW much more lively than it was to least for 12, maybe 18 servers (Not even counting EU). The server shuffling after two months also bring some varierity to this extreme stale gamemode, somenthing that many servers haven’t seen IN YEARS.
The issue still lies on glicko not allowing servers to move around faster when they clearly do not belong to a tier. The quadserver fiasco could have been averted if CD had moved before everyone on DH and SF said “kitten this kitten” and left the server or quit the game entirely. Will a rating reset solve the population imbalance? Clearly not. But at least it will break the staleness of the gamemode and people won’t feel like “oh kitten , this boring matchup again” and just stop playing.
That’s the problem… I really cannot think in somenthing to help lower tiers that isn’t going to promote flocking to a single world in order to receive easy rewards. And as long there are no incantive to play in the lower tiers, people won’t.
Balth don’t listen to the BS. I have put up with it for years and would still put my condi ranger in the middle of a zerg fight and have to save the butts of the tanks. If you still get some flak look me up on the DR server or in LA (which I am usually at recruting for my guild havc) and I’ll give you a home. If your good with your build I don’t care what you play I’ll find you a spot.
Honestly, using T4 match as experience for anything isn’t viable. You wouldn’t be able to defend against YB zerg with a handful of enemies either way, and YB would still be able to build 3 other omegas with the keep supplies if they couldn’t repair their golems.
Golem rushes can only be stopped with man power. This isn’t new. And Hammers certainly aren’t the problem here.
I don’t know if you popped in two weeks ago when BG got dropped to t2, but it seemed to me that they were just as, if not more blobby during NA prime time. The main difference was that as soon as NA was over the amount of people to fight dropped to almost nothing, where t1 there seems to always be some kind of force on.
Funny enough BG was full until it dropped. It opened at monday on that week. And then it returned to T1 where it started to win again as full. TC is on T2, struggling to maintain their lead and they still labeled as full by wednesday.
One would argue BG is Anet’s golden child.
Both T2 and T3 are currently healthy, I don’t think much will change in that regard when linking’s are redone but just to be safe, wait until Aug 26th.
It’s Arena Net we’re talking about. Except for T1, anything else is at mercy of their sense of humor.
PvP is not scripted. Your opponents are not following a pattern with big tells with the intention of letting you dodge everything. They are trying hard to not be predictable. It’s not ‘poor reaction speed’ when they are timing their attacks to fall into the gaps in your evade frames.
Plz… The average GW2 player don’t even know what is a evade frame… Most of them run some metabattle build and are just as predicable as a PvE mob.
maybe you could change tricks and traps into permanent items so we dont have to buy them more than once ? not so much because of the price but like with harvesting and mining tools you just run out of them when you could use them
I don’t relish the idea of permanent siege disablers, but acknowledge how beneficial they would be to those who do use them.
Maybe a Tricks and Traps vendor could be added to the keep merchant upgrade, instead/as well?
Since there is a siegemaster, this would be a logical addition.
What I dislike is fighting against that certain type of roamer that will happily and confidently go 1v1, yet at the first sign of loosing he is off like a rat on fire, presumably to save his 25 stacks or something. Or even worse, those that do the same in a small skirmish and abandons their mates.
Respect for those that stand and fight to the death even when their class/build could have let them escape.
At least you have them to engage you 1v1. I know some who won’t leave their cannons unless the odds are 3:1 in their favor.
There are no power builds that I worry about killing me. None of them have substantial burst to cut through 3k plus armor and 20k-30k health. I can reset pretty much any power fight on most classes using defensive sustain, mobility, stealth or outright healing. I have few builds that can handle heavy condi applicators.
At this point this is no longer a issue with conditions but how a thief as be able to reset a fight at will. And if you are having to reset fights even when you running so heavy in defensive stats, I definetely belive that the issue isn’t power being weak.
If you didn’t let it pile up you wouldn’t have to deal with this problem… I have no issues with the current design and I even have the suboptimal silver fed salvage matic, which leave my bags full of kitten minor runes/sigils.
Seriously people… HoT brought so much power to power builds that I don’t even know why there is so much crying about condis anymore… Aside From Condi Chronos and Chill Damage Reapers, there is no condi build I actually fear in HoT.
A tRex Necro can drop 30+ stacks of bleed on your head from a small skirmish crew. On multiple occasions I have ticked so hard my ancestors felt it.
That’s 1vX for what I can tell. No necro can apply 30 bleeds by himself faster to even be equivalent to you be 2 shot by a power revenant. I can also take power spikes from multiple players and die even faster.
In 1v1, Condi Chronos can easily apply 15 stacks of condi on a player. Activate a skill or two and dead. Plus this can all be done behind a bunker build. The only power equivalent are Boon Duration builds which are OP as well.
Condition chronomances, while extremely broken, unless they are very well built (to apply other conditions to make it harder to clear the core conditions) they make it easy to remove confusion and torment. Honesltly, I just struggle to that build because of the constant reaplication of massive ammounts, somenthing other builds aren’t capable of.
If I have a high boon duration warrior I can all but neutralize conditions with the use of resistance and berserkers stance. There no way a Condition build can out damage that warrior.

9K RF in 2 seconds channel that most probably will be reflected is not what a call something bursty in this game.
Coalescence of ruin cannot be reflected, hit the same number of targets, and can hit even harder than a fully chanelled rapid fire in a single hit. Only drawback is that it cannot shoot upward. But you cann just spam hammerbolt for that.
Does a tick of 12k burning for one second really outshine 3 ticks of 4k burning for 3 seconds lol? So conditions are weak because you can’t get a tick as high as a backstab?!? Sounds like the typical condition roamer.
Tell you what, it’s fair this way because maybe a 12k backstab requires full glass builds, while a 12k over 3 seconds burning stack can be done while in Terminator armor. Btw we aren’t even talking about how much DPS is possible when several conditions are ticking lmfao.
Yeah, but you need to put several stacks of these condi to make them tick THAT high, and they are likely to be cleared before you reach that point by any semi decent player that knows he can run condi clears to counter condis. Your response is a typical response of a zerker player who refuse to run condi clears because “i’ll lose muh deeps”.
I’ll tell you what. I run zerker mesmer and the only condi build that give me trouble is the condition chronomancer. This one is broken beyond repair, no doubt. But even dire/trailblazer necros fall short simply because instead of running domination line for dem high crits, I run inspiration for sustain and condi clears.
But now that we have condition bursts which deal equivalent damage to many power bursts, this is no longer the case.
I’m still waiting someone to name which condition skill can burst like Decapitate, Gunflame, Backstab, Mindwrack, Coalescence of Ruin, etc. Even with several stacks of burn, the strongest condition atm, I haven’t seen a 12k tick (maybe if I /sleep under a mortar like the people on this forum seen to do). But I’ve been hit with 12k by these skills.
