People avoid fights for the sake of avoiding fights… It was already a common occurance when there was no PPK. The only change now is that they have a excuse to run.

With all the runaway/supersustain builds I’ve been encountering (like druids and warriors), conditions are the lesser evil in roaming imo.

If only the winner can get points, people will pile up on fighting the one at the top. You get nothing fighting for second as third will get the same as second.

Well, it actually is a blowout 198 to 111, 1st to 3rd. But This isn’t the last tier, which means there are other weaker servers that problably are much more balanced match for deso than the current ones. It’s not like you’re in the last tier and every server that end there kitten on yours cough Gunnar’s cough.

You lose Mesmer F5 and double Shield block (Echo of Memory/Deja Vu) combo with Illusionary Inspiration trait though from Chronomaster line which makes boon share 4x more powerful (3x if you screw up the rotation or don’t block something).

Illusionary Inspiration have 30s ICD just as the Signet and it’s on Inpiration trait-line not on Chronomancer… Otherwise one could easily pop 3 times SoI just by swapping weapons (every weapon set have a phantasm) and using the signet itself… Hell, we would even be able to do it 6 times with Continuum Split or 8 if we landed a mimic along the lines. Whew, thank god this don’t work that way.

From a boon %, I agree gear choice has always been there but you can twink even further with running Exotic trinkets with Platinum doubloons and stop using the expensive consumables if you want or just take the more obvious food choice.

Oh, I totally forgot about the Platinum Doubloons… And also the Giver’s Trinkets/Armor that give 1% Boon Duration each. That will add another 35% Boon Duration making it a 85% Boon Duration Overkill without even needing HoT.

Because you didn’t had every other class feeding boons to the mesmer to it share to the others. This became a issue on HoT because of Herald passive boon facets and Aurashare Tempest (with the boon on aura traits) imo. Chronomancer is also partially culprit because it can stack ridiculous ammounts of quickness with Seize the Moment and Tides of Time, along with the capability of using the signet twice in a row with Continuum Split or even four times if you are good enough to time it out with Mimic (this require some illusions to be up tho).

See the partern? Everything revolves around the Elite Specs that were introduced with HoT. That’s why it wasn’t a problem before.

Gliding could work, but none of the current maps would support it. You’d have to develop a new map from scratch, and the last time we got one of those a vocal minority screamed bloody murder.

Both times we got a new map for WvW everyone just hated it. Don’t forget EotM was created to be a WvW map even if just as a lobby for queues.

I think everyone is missing that the concentration stat and sigil are what caused all of it. If they use the pvp amulet system in wvw and not have one with concentration, then this all goes away and looks like pre-hot again. Sure, the Rev still gives the 50%, but no more chronomancer runes with amulet system so less quickness.

There are amulets with concentration in sPvP: Diviner’s and Seeker’s.
Also there are several overlooked runes that give a lot of boon duration such as Runes of the Water.
Hell, I can even make a boonshare build without even using HoT.

It must be the head of the forgotten Flame Ram God. People are forgetting it’s roots and following the way of the catapults recently. They must be reminded of the true ruler of WvW.

Player already transfer with no incentive man. You gain nothing but extra 2 chests with 2 blue and 1 gree for winning and people still pay tons of gems to move around to the next “flavor of the link” server. What you think it would happen if you gave incentives for them to move? More people would hop in the choo choo wagon for the flavor of the link to get their skins.

This. IMO people don’t fight nowadays not because of the PPK, but either because they’re bad or they’re afraid of dying in a game mode where YOU WILL DIE ALL THE TIME. It just gets ridiculous.

When JQ faced YB the previous match they clearly went out of their way to avoid fights so JQ wouldn’t build up a big score from PPK in the skirmish. It was crystal clear what they were doing.

I’m fairly certain that JQ wasn’t even considered a threat.

Besides, we waited at your spawn and people eventually stopped coming out to fight.

If it’s not SEA time, you don’t find JQ on the field. I don’t know why would anyone have to protect the score from PPK from JQ. Just look at the current YB matchup. You really think a server that is trying hard to protect the score from PPK would be sitting at 0.6?

It is a bit time consuming to get decent rates (I’m looking at you, T6…) but if you already have gold there are some good options.

That’s the problem man… Spirit shards are only worth it if you already have money and have more time to sit in front of the forge doing the recipes for hours because you cannot produce in a bulk (superior siege issue)… It’s a pretty bad currency overall and I would rather be receiving Proof of Heroics or even siege instead of Tomes of Knowledge Spirit Shard.

I think 2nd and 3rd place points must be the same to incentive attacking the team on the top and not both lower servers fighting each other for 2nd while 1st runs away with the victory.

Most people don’t really care about their WvW rank. I would be annoyed, but I would be more annoyed if I were forced to stay in a server where my WvW experience isn’t being enjoyable.

The boonshare mesmer alone isn’t very impressive. It will only work good if you have a tempest and/or a revenant with it. Sure, it can still give a good ammount of boons by itself, but in that case you could problably use a guardian which have more reliable stability/might, AoE block and good damage.

So, boonshare is top notch, but only if other supports are present.

I just really like fighting out in the open. As it is I try to do some scouting and hang around to defend objectives but it’s getting kind of stale. I find running in a zerg incredibly boring and roaming is just not my thing.

Maps of a single color are maps without activity. Dead maps. Why bother going to a dead map? Everyone just hop unto EBG because it’s hardly of a single color, which mean there are enemies in there.

Spirit shard is pretty minor in making legendaries and T6 mats due the price of the rest of the things you need. The superior siege one I still do about time in time, but it’s so much time consuming I don’t bother doing it much. I don’t like spending hours in front of the Mystic Forge, you know?

You can make gold with spiritshards, not only by crafting sup siege and legendaries, also by upgrading mats.

SMC always will be T3 if there is one server that completely dominate a timezone. Even in the old upgrade method, it was true.

Besides, EBG is already the most active map anyway. They should look in making the borderlands more attractive for that matter since EBG can be queued by most servers while the other maps remain empty.

When we say JQ have no NA people say it’s a lie… When JQ have people on-line during NA, they all pile up in EBG to fight the pug mob while YB guilds are on the borderlands because EBG is queued. Since there is no one to fight in the BLs the people there just PPT in hope to bring someone out of EBG to fight.

Their kills are problably from guild groups killing EBG pugs while YB guilds are unable to join the map because it’s full of fairweathers.

Idk, I have 5000 flax seeds stocked but I barely have 1 stack of Flax fibers. Leathers are somewhat easy to come by (just as mithril and elder wood), idk why it is so expensive compared to the others.

The problem is that if you leave tomes out, people who only play WvW cannot level up as WvW no longer award exp… Ideally we need more “WvW themed” Reward tracks that give us siege (Hero Weapon and Triumphant armor give some) while the Dungeon ones keep giving tomes for people who need them.

Or maybe let us trade tomes for siege…

Are you Kosovka? The chat tend to block people that simply link stuff without writting anything. Try to say somenting like: “We go to [Tower]”, or “[Keep] Contested” so the chat don’t block you for “spamming links”.

Small scale fighting is just on a decline. And it’s not what it used to be.

WvW as a whole is on declining. In 2014 we had dead servers at T7-T8. Before the links we had dead server all the way up to T5. Population is decling because people are getting bored of the game or are unhappy with (insert complaints here) and end up quitting to look for fun elsewhere. The server links breathed some life back in servers that haven’t seen a “healthy” matchup for months, and now that people find other people playing, others are giving WvW a try.

Honestly, I don’t understand how people can complain that having more people in the game is a problem when you actually need other people to fight with. How people think it’s fun to walk for 30 minutes in a borderland without seeing a single soul. To be able to solo T3 towers and keeps because there is nobody in the map to even check why it’s contested.

It’s annoying being constantly outnumbered? Sure it is. That’s roaming life though. I personally rather be dodging zergs while trying to either pick their tail or hunting other small groups than being alone in a dead map.

I was going to make that ram comment when I first posted but I think he meant long range siege…

Me thinks JQ is playing hooky. Im on YB, and most the time they are just steam rolling us bad, so is DB. I know we are beating them score wise, I guess we do well during NA, but any other time, JQ is just beating us like a read headed step child. Talk about Blobs. I think they are throwing the match to stay in T2 so they can farm us. Its bad. Think over the weekend they took our keep 2 or three times. Its like we are back in T1 which I HATE.

Giving serious thought to either stop playing or transfer to a lower server, the times I play, JQ is just farming us so bad, the game is unplayable. Even if we move maps, here they come……..and back to spawn I go.

I miss T3. During the times I play, them guys have given us some of the greatest fights I have ever been in. Lost many a time. I got all the respect in the world for em. They know how to fight. U even the numbers up, and the t3 servers would stomp just about any t2 or t1 server out there.

You must play during SEA because in any other time nobody is getting rolled because there is nobody but YB playing. From EU to early OCX there is barely any resistance from JQ, let alone DB.

GvG guilds in T2… What is this? 2014? Pretty much the last remaining fight guilds are on T1 right now. No one in their right mind would want to be stuck with JQ and DB.

Obviously, the old ladder-style system is not compatible with this new philosophy and we as players need to understand that we gain NOTHING for winning a match apart from two more lootbags (or four if we get the double-reset bug).

Aside from kefro, I don’t think there is anyone else who is upset with the fact that FA ended in T3 but with how the issue was actually handled. The big deal here is that a manual intervention happened where it wasn’t entirely necessary (there wasn’t a glicko wall impossible to break), when similar issues were never adressed before and even more serious issues took longer to be adressed (The CD/SF/DH T4 matchup and the SF/FC/ET T8 matchup in the past).

People will say I am biased when I say I don’t mind the change because I am on YB. But tbh, seeing the current T2 matchup, I would rather have stayed in T3 and only go up when DB had finally dropped. I don’t care about my server rank like others seen to do. All I want is to be able to log and find people to fight. Somenthing that is somewhat hard when you are fighting 2 servers that rely purely on asians to make their score.
