When people are looking for a better roaming experience I suggest they check out the lower tiers but from what I’ve seen of sea players they tend to stick together.

I often suggest PvP for that particular experience.

Pvp is too bunkerish. Most people just build to dispute points, not the same as WvW roaming.

If you are looking to roll over enemy blobs with less people, you should look no further. MR is a very skilled group which won’t run away on the sigh if a zerg but instead will charge it and most time emerge victorious.

Also, you might want to state what kind of role you want to play on WvW… Like zerg-busting, roaming, defending, etc… Some guilds focus more on a specific role than the others.

My guild, KCSR, for exemple is a roaming guild. We go around wrecking havok and killing people. We don’t bother too much with ppt or zerg fights. Sometimes we help to defend our stuff, but that’s not our main purpose.

Btw, Eredon Terrace have a lot of guilds that play WvW during EST primetime, which is our strongest timezone, and we are competing to be the top of bronze atm (which mean we have a good chance to win a WvW season as it stand). Since we are on the lower tiers, there is less action on off-times, but you can see a lot of people during NA primetime and even some during EU (which is daytime).

SEA? If you go too low you risk not finding many people around end up having to flip camps for a while to make people come.

Ofc, if you think your tier is blobby i wouldn’t recomend to go any higher as the higher you go, the more people you’ll find.

Frankly, I think allowing people to join a guild from more than one server what Anet’s biggest mistake. If you are running a guild group in WvW, there’s a chance you could inadvertently give strategy away against a person in your guild whose server you are currently facing (if you use Guild Chat, for instance).

Plus, what happens if you have multiple officers from different servers? The guild upgrades (+5 supply, guild catas, etc) – it’s like supplying weapons to your enemy during a battle. Makes no sense at all.

And that’s why any serious wvw guild that worth a grain of salt only recruit people from their server (typically by asking them to join WvW first if they were picked on a PvE map).

The name of the game is Guild Wars 2. Not Blob wars 2. This update allows small guilds to run together effectively. If things become too K-train-ish I’m sure the devs can alter upgrades, add new things like those siege disables, and altogether just adapt the change for the best.

Warrior is problably, by far, the most forgiving class and is a perfect fit for new people playing the game.

• Their class-specific mechanic (Adrenaline) is easy to understand and control.
• They have a huge health pool while also having a high armor due being a heavy armor user.
• Healing Signet regen is a big boost to warrior survival.
• They have a large array of weapons that allow them to be played in many ways. Be it Frontliner, Suport or kill group.

The drawback from warriors is exactly the same reason why they are good: THey are simple… Other classes mechanics are much more interesting, and once you get the hang of the basic game mechanics you really should try the other ones.

One would argue that Guardian is also a forgiving class. I wouldn’t disagree, however their little healthpool leave less room for mistakes unless you’re running tanky build. A full zerker guardian is much more likely to die than a full zerker warrior for exemple.

You only showed pictures of him changing sides between JC, TC and BG. However there’s none of this ability to “change professions”. Well guess we’ll have to wait for the red post :/

Also he said “upgraded bay” when the first picture while he still own bay shows that it’s a paper bay (0/500 depot). I think he is exagerating…

Nice generalization based upon very little information… The vast majority of people who post on the EBay forums (and who I personally talk to) hate the change for the reasons already mentioned by the opponents of “no white swords” in this thread. At our tier, it makes defending more of a chore, and it’s harder to draw out fights, etc…

Well, I’m posting based on the people who are posting here… The servers I said are the ones I could identify in the signature of the players or because I know from which server the player is.

When you have one person from a server saying he like it, and no one else from the same server saying otherwise, you can only assume that the server is with that person. For exemple: you can see that HoD is divided in their opinions since Heibi like it and Ark does not.

Give me more points on supply carry capacity. Since the increment is 20 by 20, it would be 120,140,160,180,200 for the next 5 points, which result in another 800 point sink and still no player will solo build anything.

They can do a “sentry deployment disabled” buff (like the siege deployment disabled buff you have at spawn) inside towers and keeps to prevent people from simply putting these inside the forts to find people hiding. That way, sweeping would still be nescessary.

I’m pretty sure the only people here who like this change are the people who like to “ninja” empty structures… But then again, I don’t think there is nothing about ninja if it’s somenthing you can do with 2 people or with 24 people.

A small group would usually have the chance to be overrun because people would respond to the white swords. Now you can just take stuff without a single soul ever showing up. Hardly any risk at all, which make it so much more boring than being blobbed over and over (at least we were running against the clock before).

It’s a good change and I hope it’s kept after this test phase on my server we managed to take half the map while ournumbered just because the other 2 servers lack of coordination.

People complaining only need to start using some tactics instead of Ktrain around the maps, is it difficult for you to find the zerg ? get better at scouting, one thing I noticed there are a lot of people sitting on camps/towers/keeps waiting to spot the enemy… that’s just ridiculous.

I bet you didn’t got on any fight while you were capping empty structures… Tell how much better than EotM this is…

This is coverage buddy… Nothing to do with border awareness. If there is no people, things won’t flip back by themselves… And your server specifically is known for having off-hour players.

Well, you can go on gw2score and check the points that aren’t from tick from each server… I’ve seen a noticeable increase on score not from ppt on my server.

I’m on T3. Found the change refreshing to say the least. Even though we came a distant second, it gave our server the opportunity to cap the winning server’s territory. Before this change, they would have come along with their zerg/blob & steam rolled us. Heck, we even got lord room gates down in their keep before the blob overwhelmed us. No way this would have happened in the past.
The non white swords are going to have little impact on PPT. It does make life a lot easier for servers with smaller populations to roam & cap without being wiped 90% of the time.

Not only does it makes match up more balanced but it also makes match up more interesting for a LOT of players.

Now, get out of the forum and go try it before crying.

Looking at T3 score, it seens to be the same as when there was white swords… The biggest server still winning by a large margin.

WvW have a lot of problems and this certainly isn’t one…

Actually, it makes matchup more balanced since it makes it easier for the losing servers to cap things.

The losing servers own less targets so it’s easier to scout them all even if they have a lower population.

The winning server owns more targets so it’s harder for it to scout everything, which make it easier for the losing servers to steal their upgraded structures.

Please keep the change.

Yeah, but the bigger server have more people and can cover more ground. If they decide to attack multiple targets of the smaller servers, you just can’t defend everything and you’ll lose ground until you are pinned down on your last tower/keep, where you’ll get blobbed.

Warriors can just stack and smack camps with 100b. You have swiftness to speed up dolyaks. A reasonable fighting potential to defend yourself. And if everything goes wrong, you can just GS 3, GS 5, Sw 2 away and deny your enemy that sweet ppk.

Just because he wasn’t alone doesn’t mean he wasn’t outnumbered. I saw many parts of the video where there was 3 or more enemies, while it was only the two of them.

Running full condi tho has its downside too. Ppl can just laugh at you and run away cos you cant down them fast enough (unless ofc you are one of those shameless condi thieves)

My 11 stacks of torment as condi shatter says you won’t run away…
Also sw+sw/LB warriors can keep up with most classes using pin down, jump from sw 2 (also deal cripple) and dealing dmg to moving targets with sw 4 (5 stacks of torment).
Turning your back to a shortbow condi ranger also means death, as it will give you infinite stacks of bleed.

Not all classes can be outrun that easily…

You team will depend on your server colour… Blue and Red usually have dead times, while green always keep most population. If you try to join a EotM instance right after it start, you’re likely to get on active one (despite your colour). But later on, unless you’re on green, you’re likely to face bad instaces.

• While roaming, often a larger force shows up which is what settled those fights. It seems a durable build is more important than skill since one could simply wait for reinforcements that generally show in a minute or so.

So because you failed to secure a victory your opponents are without skill. The correction here is that you were outplayed. You lost. Anything else is scrub talk.

So you’re telling me that if I run full nomad d/d ele and just wait till the zerg overrun my adversary I’m pro?

KCSR is recruiting. We’re a WvW guild focused on roaming and havok, which means we love fights, but we also help the server with our fair share of ppt.

We’re looking for either other roamers interested in working together (be it as a larger group or as multiple coordinated groups), or people interested in learning the ways of roaming (we’re willing to help people with their builds and take them along so they have a chance to improve).

On reset night and on Eredon “Push Night”, we focus on helping maintain the server ppt by aiding the larger guilds. On the other days, we go around looking for fights or take our enemies territory if they refuse to bring the fights. We can arrange duels and/or small fights (2v2-5v5) as we get more people interested in doing it if it’s not one of the push days cited above.

The only requeriments are that you represent the guild if you are roaming with us and that you be willing to help new people as we get them on the guild (mostly with tips or builds). We understand that people have their PvE guilds and/or zerg guilds, but if you are not willing to represent us even when you are playing with us, it doesn’t seen to me you want to be part of the group.

There are plenty of guilds that do this to camps in WvW. My suggestion is to find a guild like that and troll a camp. You will get run down eventually but not before you bag a few dozen kills.
