Engi’s are in a good spot and the vigor nerf was needed. It will happen. Stop your complaining. There are far more important things to fix than engi’s atm. ( well the engi bugs/rng would b nice to fix)
Google (ak) thief build can hit 15k backstabs. It isn’t hard. It does exist. It also has like 0 utility,0 survival. Builds exist for every purpose.

Regen is not permanent in every build! We can get perma regen through dwyana runes. This hurts mosts builds though.
Protection isn’t permanent. We have nearly permanent protection if we are being CC’d repeatedly. We also have 3s every 20s if we trait for it.
Elixir B trait is 90s icd.HGH engi has perma might, swiftness,vigor. Only access to protection is from RNG on the heal. 1/3 chance. If they get on CC means they have higher cd’s or no condi removal.
Engis aren’t god mode but we do have nice access to boons. Quit your complaining and get your facts right.

elixir h= RNG 1/3 prot, vigor,regen(10s prot is 5s). 20s cd when traited.

I did say are the boons getting out of control?..look at what you’ve just said about them..seriously, look at the statics you’ve just stated.
The point being made here is that i respect there is no passive and every boon must be activated. But as stated by others, running in circles dropping nades/bombs with 98% regen/ 50% swiftness/100% vigor/ 40% might/ with activated protection on CC/30% retail/30% fury…it may not be god mode, but perhaps Jesus mode.
Please state any other profession that can stack this many boons for these duration’s and rinse-repeat them with as many low cool downs.
it is one thing to call others liars, and then go and give facts about how many boons they can keep at near 100% up time.
You didn’t seem to read mine correctly let me verify it… you cant get all of that on 1 build. Those are the POSSIBILITIES. If you want to go full boon “jesus” mode come back and tell me how engi’s do any damage at all.

their isn’t very many people in q at once. Stacked teams will occur. Skyhammer farmers exists. Not everyone is great at this game. Once a stacked team gets created they will destroy any hope for the next solo q guys.

requirements to rush far :
your home guy knows to head mid the second home is capped ( so mid isn’t 4v3)
you can win your 1v1 95+ percent of the time.
you can disengage every time.
it doesn’t take 2 minutes to win the 1v1.
you don’t let them have the cap.
you don’t 1v1 assault the point if they capped it.
I do it quite fine. But this is solo q man you can’t take it serious.

^^ The point I was trying to make was in solo q without communication/coordination it is a hell of a lot harder to beat a 4 warrior comp. Thus the warrior is better than every other profession becuz atm they are.
Just so your aware it was the top 100 all playing warriors vs some 50-250 range on leaderboards. Good players but warriors just made it ridiculous.
Well last night we rolled a 4 warrior 1 necro on solo q 3 times in a row with the same people… not sync just lack of people playing.
Won every time. Even with me playing bad lol ( I was trolling around)
Sigh I wonder when warriors won’t be better than every other profession.

Engi maintain 6-9 bleed stacks? Um.. have you seen the necro auto attack? Atleast with engi bleed nade is the closest thing to a skill shot in the game… As for the burn….If you remove the engi burn proc you know what will happen?
Shaman (settlers) ammy bunker engis with bombs. We will still have the same burning ( may take flamethrower) and we will be harder to kill.
Don’t complain about engi’s and condition damage. Start at the problem of cripple/chill/immobilize/vuln/etc making it hard to remove the burn/poison stacks.
This would cause other issues as A-net has buffed condition removal everywhere.

The problem is that Anet likes to makes it seem like they are doing a lot by putting out these “big changes” patches. I don’t understand why the priorities always seem to be on the most useless fixes, and not addressing the most important issues head-on. It happens all the time. Previously, you would see a “big balance patch” and when you read the list of changes, 90% of it are tool-tip fixes. How exactly is fixing tool-tips going to affect gameplay? I’m not going to go “OMG, THE RADIUS WAS WRONG THIS WHOLE TIME??? NO WONDER I KEEP LOSING!”
It almost seems like the staff think that pvpers don’t test their skills/traits enough to realize that a tool-tip is working as intended or not. Regardless, tool-tip changes are not going to all of a sudden fix imbalances…in fact it only highlights them.
I don’t think I speak for myself when I say that the whole trait description add-on was totally unnecessary. It’s much more of a perk to add on AFTER the meta is in a good place. Just because we have descriptions of traits now, it doesn’t make them anymore used than before. Veterans would still be using the same traits, and no description is going to make a light bulb go off in their head.
Claiming that these patches are big balance changes is just nonsense. I’m sure a lot of players would have wanted the devs to spend their time working on things that are actually important, than to work on trivial systems such as trait descriptions.
I just don’t understand how their prioritizing works, and who agrees to those priorities…do they just sit down and go “Hey, I think a trait description add-on would be a total game changer!!! Pvpers would love it!! Let us do that before serious balances and better reward systems.”
It seems so silly to me. When I see “big balance patches” like these, I just think that they don’t have the resources to put out the necessary changes, so they just start doing the things that don’t really matter so that it seems like a lot was done. I believe true pvpers would rather wait for a quality balance patch than to see a patch like this after months of horrible Meta play.
I agree with you but the other side to the story is this helps new players get into pvp faster, and learn. Sadly this shouldn’t be needed as we all learned the hard way by testing repeatedly. Or for the lazy/dumb reading the wiki.
1: QOL (leaderboards fixes,brainless builds, not releasing broken crap, matchmaking fixes,rewards,etc)

3: teaching new players how to play.
Maybe not implement it that specific way but honestly being out comp’d in solo q is just… sigh….
But we don’t have the pvp population to limit professions/players in any way. Look at how bad matchmaking is, slow q times are, then add in a new limiter…. q’s would take 30 minutes…

MLG was a joke the 2 top teams had dc’s causing them to lose. You cant use MLG as a example.
s/d thief can evade 2 times then trait refills enough for a 3rd. Signet of agility = 3 more dodges. shortbow 3 or sword 3 = evades on spam.
I’ve bunked 1v3 for 20+ seconds without taking a single hit on point. Not hard to do with s/d….
Also don’t forget double s/d with energy sigils. even more dodge…
Incurafy man s/d thieves can evade spam all day.

I am sure everyone has had idiots in solo q and I’ve seen quite a few myself but this take the cake….
this is qq but it is understandable qq….
started out getting wiped 0-150.
They had a dc.
We came back 400-250
Then we got a dc and theirs came back… (karma I hate you…)
This is temple of silent storm… They got top buff and triple capped us at 495-400.
heres the bad part…
3 people on other team were down. For nearly 20 seconds NO ONE FROM MY TEAM attempted to stomp any of them. They got resses from 1 guy. (4v3 at bottom)
really? NO ONE even attempted the stomp that would of won us the game… but no they NEVER even attempted. We lost 500-495. I have lost any hope for people’s intelligence in this game.

I did that for the same reason your thinking of and it was easily an amazing decision.
NA pvp sucks.
Any who I did it by deleting all my characters to xfer for free. If you do it my way you lose everything except whats in your bank, wallet, and your pvp glory rank, pvp locker.
It was so worth it. In my experience eastern time(usa) EU prime time was 9 am to about 5 pm. And still 3-5x the NA population.
Also seems to be fewer idiots in EU than NA along with much higher skill levels.
Team q is also multiple different teams usually not the same one repeatedly like NA.

A: Freeze everything but keep screen blanked out. This prevents studying the current fights. Give a 10 second + noise to say fight will resume.
Do we add a time window for how long a game can remain paused?
A: I would say maximum of 2-3 minutes. This will help the dc’rs but won’t do much about complete internet loss. That is a entirely different problem/solution.
Tournaments are often run on a schedule, do we keep the game clock running while the game is paused so the game will still end around the same time?
A: No. Just limit amount of pauses per tournament to 1 per team. major tournaments could be left up to the shoutcasters.
If the player comes back, do we just resume the action or do we restart the match?
A: resume action. See first question. You may want to reset fights/ BUT keep players health pools/cds/downed etc in same spot.
For example: someone dcs.
Pause. Screen blanked out. Guy returns. 10s + noise =
Everything is returned exactly the way it was. The guy who dc’d is returned to where he was located originally too. If a sub is used he returns to spawn but is prevented from entering a fight for 10-15 seconds. (daze?) This prevent abuse for quick teleport to home point.
What do we do when we have to give up on waiting for the player to reconnect?
A: substitutes start at the gate. The disconnect isn’t punished but isn’t rewarded.
Possible trolls/people taking advantage but I have no solution other than limiting to 1 dc per team.
How do we handle trolls that disconnect on purpose?
A: BAN. serious punishment to prevent. Repetitive troll = perma ban. Obviously must have a fool proof way to identifying them. (not sure if possible)
Do we count a disconnect as part of dishonor?
A:Possible but dishonored is a joke it needs to be far more severe.
Do we disable progression and rewards for a game that doesn’t finish because of a disconnect?
A:If subs were implemented no but major tournaments need some sort of rules to go along with subs/rewards.
Do custom arena owners want to be able to pause through a command?
A: I don’t own one but custom arena matches are not for rewards. But adding this feature could be on the list of things to do.

I enjoy the (finally) more dev responses being posted.
But what I would love to see is explanations.
For example:
patch notes come out… Explain why what specific changes were made and why time was spent doing them. Even if its short and simple it’s better than the community guessing.
Alot of people don’t run the correct warrior build.
The banner warriors just stay alive. They provide little support for teams comapred to guardians.
The hammer/longbow or mace shield on the other hand is stupid op.
3350 armor 2k power 85 crit chance (during a stun) blocks condi immunity multiple stabilities and condi cleanse on less than a 7s cd. SHould I also mention the auto attacks are minimum 2k?
This needs to happen or at the very minimum a response from dev.
As for the likelyhood of this happening is near 0.
They have had 3 cough official cough tournaments each of which was a joke.
At this point you’d think they were aware of how little anyone cares.
This is one of the many QOL improvements we could use..
