I think everyone should have noticed that some of CD’s major oceanic guilds are not in wvw much these days. Don’t seem like a case of people getting smarter or scared

I highly doubt Anet is going to make a change to stealth.

D/P started to get more popular in WvW a few weeks ago because someone made that Unseen and deathless video. D/P was already being used by high ranked thieves in sPvP. Some people need someone to tell them how to play and then it catches on. Why alot more thieves are using withdraw now because it was in that same unseen and deathless video.

See elementalists are weak threads until someone showed people the d/d bunker specs which where already getting used in sPvP.

I’ve always known D/P was the weapons set along w/ S/D.

Problem is i’m stubborn and don’t wanna switch

Stealth is fine.

Thieves are fine.

I find the only possible ways a d/d thief can kill a good d/p thief is either catch them by surprise or use s/d.

Why is EB so aggressive on these forums but terrible in the actual game? All I see is post after post accusing YB and CD of having terrible players… Yet both servers are crushing you right now.

I already did fight club with you guys the last time our servers fought. It was fun. But I WvW to WvW… If I wanted to fight club I’d be in sPvP.

I don’t know who you are and can’t remember who the guys were I was fighting with but they invited me to group we had a nice little chat.

You are very angry and competitive it sounds like. sPvP sounds like your match made in heaven. Why do you get caught up in WvW so much?

I didn’t know you could tell im angry bro, you must be sitting right next to me. sPvP is extremely limited in stat combinations and as a result so are builds. I’m not backing out of anything. I get on WvW to play with my friends not duel outside of Orgrimar/Ironforge. Never understood those people. The game isn’t a 1v1 game. The classes aren’t designed for 1v1.

Also the reasons the stats are manipulated in sPvP is for balance. Which is why you can’t get a 100%+ bonus crit damage in sPvP but you can in WvW. So no actually fight club does in fact NOT determine skill. It let’s you play rock, paper, scissors with the classes.

And the reason I know you’re mad is because your own server sounds like they want to disown you. lol

Sorry mate but IMHO WvW takes more skill than sPvP any day of the week. sPvP is a stale form of pvp that never really changes.

Granted you won’t find me at a Fight Club, but you will find me killing you + 5 of your guildies at once

ya well it seems cd/yak are pretty much the same on the solo/roamer aspect of WvW

as in non existent nor very skilled

I was hoping after exodus’s and what not they’d have a nice core, but it seems all i’ve seen is zerg harder mentality….o well maybe we’ll get someone new next week.

I have a 10gig vid card and thieves render w/out problems.

Did either Yaks or CD get skilled roamers since the last time we met?

The culling did get pretty bad, but it probably was a combination of us and EBay. We definitely had a lot more on the map than usual it seemed. Still lots of fun though :]

Welp finally got on NA primetime or so.

Got some good fights in until finally a 20 man IoJ zerg tried to kill me. That was funny

Either way it wasn’t bad and had some nice conversation w/ some IoJ fellas.

I melee down warriors all the time. Infact I gave up my SB b/c its more of a handicap in most situations.

Trick is to have your stun breaks up when u need them.

Ps. I run full zerk gear so I have less hps than you do

When you get 3+ on you in the open field your only way of surviving is to kill them all. There is no escaping.

I agree on the dueling builds comment, however. Dueling builds don’t always translate over to good roaming builds.

Every class does have escape options…some are better at it.

Everyone I know on Mag uses their roaming build in fight club. If you like running into 1v1’s in the field, it’s like a concentration of 1v1 roaming fights.

Fight club is good for people who want to do 1v1s in a WvW enviroment but lack the mobility and escapability to roam. Cut them some slack. :P

Every class has option to spec for high mobility.

Problem is fight club is just a place for people to run 1v1 or sPvP builds. Those same builds fall flat out roaming tho.

Just wanted to shout out that its been a fun reset, i’ve wiped some zergs and i’ve gotten wiped. All in all good fights. Even beyond the glaring population differences that our servers have. Next matches are going to switch up the servers, SBI is going to probably drop down, and i expect them to be alot more managable in terms of size at the moment.

Ranks or no ranks ima still play the same way….solo and giving the middle finger to objectives.

Played the same way in DAoC.

ps. Factions in UO had titles based on kills but the game wss full loot so special rewards werent needed after you looted 200 of each reg

I am noticing less GC bs thieves though there are still some but for the most part I am seeing more P/D, S/D thieves lately. If they are D/D I am noticing alot more carrying S/D on them instead of SB. I don’t see alot of D/D condi spec thieves though. Few P/P thieves and a few D/P.

Right now just from my play experience lately I would say S/P is what I run into the least of all the thieves I see. You guys think S/P is fine or needs as much or more love than P/P?

Im sincerely sorry for whatever you may have experienced on the behalf of any FTF. As a 500 person guild, i find it hard to manage most to next to all the members activites and personal choices on the battlefield.

Alot of people in our guild aren’t always the squad type and desire for fair combat and the rules of respectful engagement. Like most big guilds we have a central core that is our dedicated members and our “Kill-Squad” and runs our trainings for members as well as our 3-6 man squads (sometimes 10 man depending on enemy player pop.) you might see. Aside from the siege zerg and members who have chosen not to advance in the guild and would rather stay for the karma trains (it might of been one of our karma trains).

If any members of FTF griefed you by sort of embarrassing act, please accept this as a apology on their behalf. But know that FTF is a fairly rowdy guild, we have members of all types and are an explicitly 18+ guild. We do not censor, within reason, our members from having some fun. It can be quite hard to control members from… expressing themselves haha. But we always have fun on the battlefield and we don’t do this as a form of spite against you. (If anything, a members of FTF taking the time to stop and notice you for something… i’d take it as a compliment lol)

But if your want an even fight against FTF, feel free to msg me, and we’ll set one up. We never turn down a fight

Ran into a Longbow/Greatsword Ranger with Wolf Form about 7 times, was only able to kill him once I think. Was an IoJ ranger from [Prot], many are curious about your spec; nice job kiting!

Good rangers are hardest class to find.

As a thief I find rangers generally a free kill in WvW.

That being said every so often you find that ranger who’s build actually gives him a 50/50 chance to win.

It then comes down to skill
