Good fights FA and SoS in SoSBL!

I love how everyone knows exactly what the other server needs to get better and likes to use a condescending tone when they “offer suggestions”. Nobody is perfect and we are all playing a game, enough with the posturing and leave the fights to the field.

SoS and FA great fights this week. TC what can I say I love this server!

Rollindat, what happened? Tried sending you a message said I was blocked, was sending you messages up until our scheduled time for GvG, unblock me at least tell me what happened.

I know for a fact that Rollindat was trying to communicate with whoever was setting up the match on your side from 8:45 to 9:15 EST we waited on DBBL behind windmills for 15 min after the scheduled time but no one showed up. Some of our group had to go by 9:30 EST. I can’t speak for your side but I know we were there and trying to get in communication with your rep.

If you are dealing with a coordinated mesmer group they are able to chain pulls. 1 to pull you to the ledge and one to pull you off. My guild does it in such rapid succession that I’m sure to the enemy it looks like it was only 1 action.

Increasing level cap = goodbye to remaining GW1 fans.

The game has made some major improvements and has other major improvements in the works. The ones coming soonest are probably the LFG tool, and culling reduction in PvE, but there are other things coming as well.

There’s still a lot Anet needs to work on, but it’s getting there.

The real question is going to be what they choose to do with ascended weapons and armor, gear grind and that sort of thing.

The problem is we have two completely different groups of people on these forums who want the game to move in diametrically opposed directions. So while the game gets better for one group, it gets worse for the other.

Shockingly, I agree with you. My opinion on it is this, I don’t mind legendaries or skin items. I’ll never chase after them, but its good they are there for the hardcore. Where I draw the line is when there is a stat advantage. This includes resistances to agony, etc.

I’m interested to see what happens as we come closer to 2014 and new AAA games come out which side Anet decides to listen to. The ones that want to chase stats and gear or the ones that want to experience content and the adventure. It will have to be one or the other but which? As for me I hope they draw back a little to their roots and quit with the stat increases but that’s just a hope and a prayer!

So I’m pretty sure I remember reading that we would be able to get laurels for different achievements as well. What ever happened to this plan?

So my take away from this is that you need stat progression in order to play a game? Why do you need the stats because you aren’t able to win on equal footing or because you cannot rest until you have min/maxed yourself to perfection? These are not meant to be mean. I play the game because I enjoy the combat and having fun with friends but to have to feel like I I’m chasing a carrot to play is no incentive for me.

How is it fair when someone investing in a traitline meant to be affecting combat against guards only confers an advantage against regular players?

This ^ no where is it suppose to be against other players “just” guards!

I will agree to disagree I have to have a piece of siege build it and can only attack if you decide to come into range where as the stat buff is universal across the map.

but how is a plain stat boost a “specialized” thing in WvW when every other ability is situational?

Why do you need stat increases? These were added to make your characters have a certain specialty tell me what added stats is a specialty of?

Hickeroar I play on the same server as you but do not like to join the zerg instead I run supply defend camps and scout…. How do you think that it’s fair that while I arguably am doing a lot for my server I will in no way accumulate the wxp as quickly as those that choose to roll in a zerg taking things and leaving? Yet I play just as much but will not enjoy the stat bonus that you will for much longer? Why even have a stat bonus?

Honestly I don’t understand why there isn’t more uproar from the community about this. Nobody in WvW asked for more stats linked to wvw abilities. What the fact are they doing? Do they want these matches to be even more one-sided because the bigger zerg servers will attain these ranks first and absolutely destroy servers even more that focus on havoc squads.

Well now that guard abilities will reward stat increases I’d like my points back since that one greatly has the most impact map wide.

I do not like the path they are going with this stat bump for this wvw ability. Every other ability is very situational this one is global and affects individual player’s stats. Don’t say well you have to go kill guards first because we all know that the guards are a joke. This ability should only allow you to kill the guards or protect you from the guards more not other players.

Can we all please bring down the aggression a bit? CD and SoS [Cult] has enjoyed the fights you guys have brought. The way these matches have become it is very hard to even want to go into WvW when there is a larger force, yet there are many on both your servers that are bringing the fight everyday. A special shot out to SoS that had their natural tower on CDBL last night (I think it was mostly FoE) we knocked the wall down a few times but you guys had that thing locked up!

Ok, I know everyone is upset about some of the blow outs that are currently taking place. What if the outmanned buff actually had useful stats that allowed a smaller group to fight the hordes of enemy on a little more even ground, wouldn’t that make the matches a bit more fun? MF, Wxp, Exp is crap no armor damage there’s a start but what if you upped your other stats while outmanned not just having to stick to one of the breakout events but could get deep into enemy lands with quality buffs. I don’t know % or what exactly would be best to buff but I feel like something really needs to be done about the crap they give for outmanned.

/signed a TC native. I don’t RP but I sure enjoy our community and think the RPers add that much more depth to the game.

I have to say that this guild is full of the most laid back fun group of people. If you are looking to have fun in a game that YOU bought and don’t want a bunch of people telling you how to play the game. This is the guild for you. The members are here to have fun just like you. Yeah last night KNBL was fun CYN had a group of 9 running around looking for fights. Great fun running into CNB, RUN, HOPE, BT, RISE and a few other tags. Expect my repair bill in the mail soon

I have had my tag from basically the start of the game (1 week after head start paid by the guild so don’t think I consider myself entitled) I have it on a warrior and over the many months of playing I’ve tried all different builds. From super glass to support to tank. I find that as a commander you become more effective when you can rally the support of your militia. The problem is that the militia will not just read chat and follow directions that easily. For many they want a point of reference and that’s exactly what the commander offers. So, for the most effective use of the blue dorrito I find a build with survivability and support works best. It allows you to charge in and lead those not reading chat or not in VOIP to be a viable asset on the field. Of course it’s just my opinion and whatever you choose I wish you the best of luck.

+1 for removing or raising the AOE limit. I know they don’t want 2 people destroying 15 people or whatever but if those 15 people are dumb enough to stand in the pretty red circles they deserve to learn by death.

KN is a great foe. I’ve been loving the competitive fights in WvW being matched up against them. If you want a great home for the enjoyment of WvW I strongly urge you to check KN out!

Yeah CYN went to TC. I was originally on LaZy but didn’t want to go to tier 1 so went with CYN along with a few others from LaZy.

CYN sees you guys on our WvW nights RISE fun fights in this tier!

I was there on the TC side I just want to let you know CYN only had about 8 people on and most there were militia that kept leaving to go fight at NW camp and attack the Garrison. The mesmer portal bomb you destroyed was a new group trying to learn how to play WvW. AoN is a very respected guild in my eyes but that title is pretty misleading.

Content locust please go to another game and leave this one alone. Better yet go outside and live for a while. That is all. Anet the rewards you have and content you have is at a perfect pace please don’t listen to the locust “hardcore” gamers.

I had a weapon skin drop in world 1 zone 1 after killing boss over cage. inside chest there I got the super shield skin.

I think he means the chests that appear in open world that spawn the bunnies, monkies and frogs. I knew they dropped baubles but is it confirmed to drop weapon skins? If so I expect these prices to level out around 5-15g.

I just want to say I have nothing but respect for our big guilds, small guilds and militia in TC. We fight hard and fight smart. If our enemies are mad and don’t like it they can just sit out until they are matched with another server. As for the role-players on TC they are an amazing bonus to this server. While other servers don’t understand, they add another aspect to the game with their witty dialog and I would say that they are also very talented. Not only can they fight well but they can do it while adding dialog that will make you lol. Keep it up my fellow server mates!

Ohhh thanks for clarifying this for me. I guess when I’m still alive with a bunch of bags by my feet after a run in with a FA zerg I wiped….interesting
