AR continues to grow and train new WvW players into a strong fighting force while cracking jokes at the same time. A big +1 for this guild!

Solid group of players and their guild leader is always giving the IoJ community great tips.

Love the new map but the buffs and the lag need to go. So if I had to choose between new middle with buffs or no new middle I would choose no new middle.

I was going to write up a scary backstory to go with this but I’ve lost interest…

Would simply changing the windmill so it removed the bloodlust buff from everyone within 10,000 yards resolve all the complaining? the area would include the whole ridge and the area north of the skill point.

This would help GvG but most people complaining about the buff are dealing with blowout matches where the strong are getting stronger. Nothing against GvG but the biggest issue currently is 6/8 matches being absolute garbage.

There hasn’t been a WvW update yet that hasn’t had it’s share of detractors and prognostications of gloom, doom and the end of the game. Same thing will happen here that happened with each and every one of those… people will adapt, more likely than not the warnings will prove to be exaggerated at best and something new will be released that will be the greatest threat to WvW ever.

Guess you forgot about the AC buff then quick fix due to all the complaints….

Thank you very much for taking the time to open up and communicate with us. I do have to ask is there a vague timeline you and the team are aiming for to collect the feedback necessary from the latest patch. The blowout matchups are now way worse for those on less WvW populated servers. The friends I have on the game and guild I am in are discussing leaving for good. I enjoy this game very much but I too share their concerns about the buffs.

…to show the developers that we don’t like the new buff is to not play WvW? I guess my friends and I will have to take a vacation from the game. Sad that this vocal minority really cares about the game and wants to continue to play it and make it better.

The problem with WvW is that I have to find people to group with to have any fun + success. I don’t have to do that with sPvP (I can just join a random team there). I find joining a zerg to be completely uninteresting farming.

Then solo roam. Or roam with pugs. You don’t have to run with the zerg.

Or make friends or find a guild, because this is an mmo.

The best way to find others to roam with is by introducing yourself on your server’s forum. Most of the forums are heavily populated by WvW players looking to do the same thing.

I have a small Asura Engineer named Stevie Hawkings, it seems to make people laugh when I post in team chat.

Actually it makes perfect sense to keep the top tier stats where it is for people who PvP (skill/gear)….but the locust, min/maxers and crappy players I’m sure will disagree.

Wait, people are mad because in 3 days they had the monthly almost done and now they have to do so much hard work again… Really?!

Could I have your worthless exotics so I can salvage them for dark matter please =)

I think the inflation going on is a huge issue. If the PvE bunch got their money and it didn’t effect the TP that would be fine but the cost for everything is going up.

There is a difference between airing your complaints and being petulant.

There is a time threshold between airing complaints and becoming frustrated. You either haven’t been playing WvW for very long or your expectations for it were far lower than the rest of us. Being ignored, or worse … being bullkittened with endless “soons” … leads to petulance from the most patient of us. If we still actually give a kitten, that is. Anybody who progressed past petulance has left the building.

Or has packed their bags and waited for one last insult!

To be honest I have about 5g in the bank most times but my guild and I like to support the PPT for our server and are very proud of our server. We escort doly, scout, defend and que upgrades. We most the time are separate from the zerg and do not gain much from the captures or zerg vs zerg. We almost always use superior as you can get into the reinforced/fortified structures quicker with them. Also superiors make way better detterants when a zerg comes and we defend with lower numbers. I am just tired of the disparity that exist between PvE and WvW and I’m tired of everyone excusing it because “PvE pays the bills” This game has been out for a year and never once have I felt like an equal player compared to a PvE player. There is something wrong with that.

So be selfish and don’t que upgrades that’s a great way to think of it. Let me be clear the gold that the PvE group is getting right now is netting them on average of 10g/hr you think you are even in the ballpark in WvW. Come on quit being such a fanboy.

Why is it that I have to go broke if I want to play WvW but the PvE people this last few weeks have amassed enough cash to buy precursors? Change the supply camp claimers to champs and increase the quality drops in WvW.

Lesson learned don’t spend anymore $ to buy gems for gambling and Anet will have to change their strategy.

Yeah I have a few tickets so waiting to see where the market is headed as it tanked quickly.

Do you think the price of these weapons will go back up to what they first were introduced into the market at or is the 20-30g an accurate representation of their price for the foreseeable future?

So wait you don’t want CTF because people will build to the game mode? We have bunkers and carriers now at least this way you offer something new in gameplay. People like you who go after other people’s ideas probably contribute to this stagnant game staying so stagnant.

Unfortunately, capture the flag doesn’t really work well for this game type. I’m completely against disabling skills in order to do it.

What we do need is a team death match option.

Nonono, you don’t disable skills. You just make that you drop flag whenever you use any type of teleporting/long-jumping skill. This way you can save your skin/fur/bark when you need.

Exactly this make going invs blink etc drop the flag automatically. I wouldn’t even mind a speed debuff with it. I just want more variety. 1 year in and we still only have conquest.

See spirit watch is not capture the flag. It is conquest with a small amount of capture the flag. Why not have a true CTF giving variety right now you hold the 3 areas and the orb helps but is not as crucial as holding the areas. I want some variety and I think others do as well.

I have 8 characters as well…would love for them to change these scrolls to = 20lvls of exp. Could help finish my last char. If not its just a sad piece of junk in my mail.

Yeah I just think having another option besides point hold would make things interesting and allow a little variety.

So is there any chance we could see a capture the flag map soon? Not to bring up other games but Warsong Gultch was one of the best PvP maps. The coordination for defense and attack was great and it led to great fights.

Well isn’t that good for you. I was in this server long before Tier 2 and 1. I have an established guild with upgrades. To switch to a lower tier wouldn’t be bad if the guild wouldn’t lose everything and every member would have to pay to switch.

I have been in WvW since last August and this last week has been the worst experience I’ve ever had in a game. The skill lag is absolutely horrendous and the drops are garbage. There needs to be an all hands at Anet because you can’t expect people to play WvW in its condition. I thought this game was going to be the one I played for years but its really looking like this company doesn’t care about its own game….what a shame!

Yeah I would stay away from SoR, BG, JQ, TC and DB. I would also consider avoiding FA as they are in a spot that might have to fight those others. Don’t get me wrong these servers are great but the game is not designed for the numbers that are fielded by them in WvW. Just my .02.

Stay far away from tier 1 na my guild only does small man teams and we spend most of our time messing with the megablobs and running. If we do find another group to fight it usually ends up where a zerg comes in (either side really) and takes away the fun. If for some reason you do find a fight that the megablobs aren’t part of you still get to enjoy the special blend of skill lag that is part of GW2s charm. I would suggest EB or Mag I seem to recall having some fun playing against their small teams when we faces them. Good luck.

No No No they didn’t nerf it to stop zergs they nerfed it to simply kill WvW all together. They even added a pve version in the pavilion. If you want skill lag and culling with massive fights (numbers not skill in any way) and great loot (like 10g in 2hrs) come spam the legendaries and farm destroyers…..Yay

I know what you mean, my guild runs on average a 5 man group and I know the mega blobs are starting to wear on us.

Devon allow us to transfer to lower tiers for free and bring all our guild upgrades.

We could all go to a certain pve map and spam our skills all at once where lots of pve players are, creating the same skill lag….maybe then it will gain the attention of Anet?

They are very lucky that there aren’t any other games that do RvR that have come out at this time. I wonder what happens soon when more RvR games are introduced.

That would only work with NA guilds. OC SEA and EU guilds are limited on what servers they go to if they want people to fight. Main reason for these time zones to come to Tier 1 servers is because they will have better coverage this more people to fight.

With EU they have a full grouping of servers so I don’t feel like that is valid. With the OC and SEA I thought Anet was about to open a new grouping of servers for those markets? Either way at those times are there that many people to cause the lag? If there are then if enough moved even 1 tier down it would help a lower tier and balance the servers still.

Would you move or consider moving your guild from a higher tier server to a lower one if you received a certain amount of gems and your guild still had all of its unlocks…guild missions etc?
