This is a good change, at the very minimum it will completely change the way combat works in WvW. People will have to more conscious and simply not rely on stability to do the thinking for them. At the very minimum the current meta might get flip changed for good.

Which is great. The forums have been shown to be wrong on multiple instances (ascended gear ruining WvW for example).

This thread seems to be full of people who simply hate change because it is different. This is good and it will increase the skill cap for everybody in the game, whether it destroy WvW is something no one can predict.

Actually the people complaining are those that try to use skill in this part of the game. What people are complaining about is the fact that Anet doesn’t want people to think but instead run around in 80 man groups spamming skills however they want. If 20 go against 40 they are already crippled by aoe restrictions and critical dmg nerf. When you add the stability change it basically will make it close to impossible for the smaller group, even being more skilled, to win.

This NEEDED to happen! Aegis blocks 1 hit and vanishes why should stability make players completely immune to CC? Stability is THE REASON I don’t play interrupt mesmer. “Oh just strip it” yeah, have a build that needs to boon strip before becoming effective, thats a great idea.

Actually, you might look at boon duration, monk, water, travelers etc since resistance will be a buff.

Between this upcoming change and the crit change a while back they continue to push the advantage to blob. GG anet WP. I guess it only makes sense since most devs out in WvW just zerg the kitten around anyways.

I have been on many different servers and map capacity is the same. Please stop the absurd belief that a T1 server has bigger population capacity.
On to the topic T3 is definitely a prime example of WvW population inequality. I really do hope the Devs actually do something about it. I am a bit cynical but I feel like they continue to keep it this way to force active WvWers to pay for transfers to higher tiers for fights.

A) isn’t a tag and ur a zergling, so stop complaining and learn how to do things in small group or solo (probably not anyone on the forums, but still worth pointing out)
B) you need to learn to be the leader. Tagging up isn’t bad if you want to get people together to do something progressive. I garuntee that people just like you are on the map.

Fixing the ppt would be nice but I have noticed it has been a bit more accurate after the last 2 patches. May be something that is getting fixed slowly, or just a coincidence

A. I am no zergling and have been playing WvW since BWE and driven/drive for open raid and GvG guilds.

B. I have a tag and have no problem militia commanding.

Unlike you, who not doubt comes from a server that is probably dominating the others or at least is on a tier with equal numbers, I decided to take a break from T1 and explore other tiers to see what’s up. Outside of T1 and T2 there ARE notable population differences, and guess what it on get exasperated when Server A with around the clock bigger WvW population T3s everything. I have no problem popping said keeps or towers but I only play for a few hours a night. When my guild doesn’t rally Server A dominates all the BLs or EBG. The servers in T1 and T2 know population is a big deal hence why they recruit so heavily.

WvW active population is out of balance. Maybe get your head out of the hole it’s in before you talk next time.

Yeah I really hope they address it in some way. Currently the only way to deal with the population imbalance is to go to a stacked server which then causes the problem to continue in this iterative process.

Just wondering if the Devs are working on ways to deal with WvW and the population balance. Maybe a new way to tally scores not the old PPT. I don’t claim to have an answer, I’ve seen a lot of ideas on the forum over the last 2+ years. I just want to know if this is something that might be addressed in the new expansion.

I moved from TC to IoJ and I’m having a blast. Yes we are getting blown out as T2 has 4 servers but who really cares about PPT. Fights are fun, roam is a good time. The only issue would be if you are on at off times ocx and sea, those will be rough. Good luck on finding the right server.

What you are basically looking for is a PvX guild. Any full-time WvW guild will want builds and structure if that is their main focus. A few good ones to look at for PvX would be ESP, CRZY and ODIN. Good luck!

For those of you fighting on EoTM…GG!!!. I was on a lvl 15 map today farming mats. They were all whining how they have to level up normally because they are getting killed by level 80 and stealing the captures. From what I gathered in the chat, this has been going on for a week.

You’re welcome kind Tyrian. Commander X Swagalicious X noticed that it was time for karma fever to end and has done his best to bring fights to an EoTM Instance near you.

I have made it a mission to derail the enemy karma trains as often as possible. I will set my group of 10-12 at bridges or blind corners and wreck the karma trains. Hopefully if enough people start doing this eotm will become more PvP oriented. If not no loss for me and my group as the bags just rain down.

I take a group of 12-15 in sometimes and farm the karma blobs at choke points for the bags, tears and lulz.

After the ready up I realized that WvW is clearly not a top priority for any dev, so we might as well all just enjoy what we have and look forward to better games coming in the future.

They really don’t know what to do with WvW. Such a shame.

Listen EotM is a karma/leveling train I get it, but there isn’t really a reason to defend or hold ground there; nothing really lost or gained besides the karma etc. The servers have such huge disparities between tiers and the PPT shows nothing but coverage. An alliance system that was thoughtfully put out might change everything. With instanced WvW maps maybe the first time anyone in your guild enters WvW it locks your guild into that WvW instance until it is over. Instead of week long they go to 24hr or 48hr matches. These are just suggestions, instead of just complaining about WvW I would rather offer some suggestions in hopes that they can keep the only part of the game I play alive and healthy.

With the constantly growing delta between the higher and lower tiered servers why not implement an alliance system with 3 factions? This way WvW could be instanced like EotM but you are fighting for a reason(Alliance Pride). I’m sure there are plenty of issue that need to be worked out but this will help smooth out the disparities in population that are occurring now between servers. Just a suggestion but something needs to be done soon to fix WvW.

too bad this entire tournament is a FARCE and completely pointless in determining everything.

JQ and TC are going to be cheering and congratulating themselves for “victory” at the end of all of this, and yet

the winner of this tournament will not be the server who played the best, but instead a server who resorted to underhanded tactics and basically what amounts to CHEATING in order to win

and don’t tell me BG has that much superior coverage (the first wee was an EXTREMLY close match until JQ GAVE UP and quit the map like the noobs they are

BG’s coverage isn’t like before. But we knew this would happen so we are playing for fights instead of fights and ppt. PPT is moot at this point since, like a couple days ago, TC and BG were close so TC and JQ went hardcore 2v1 until it was out of reach again.

I am sure the old SoR guilds are bored out of their skulls that they can’t fight JQ in any real way. I am sure that will blow up at some point here. JQ there are rumblings about being unhappy with this from people.

So BG will power through while the others have to deal with all that junk.

IoJ’s roaming is garbage. Myself and a few others have taken on the chore of coaxing you out each day by building siege at north camp by the Citadel Portal. Shoot, even a few DB roamers decided to come help because of how absent you were. Fighting larger forces sucks, but there are fights to be had if IoJ just showed up.

FA, FA, FA out of all the servers we have played it seems you show the least class. You have a million man zerg and by virture of that it must sadden you to know that you will win the match-up before it even begins. It must be frustrating for many of your players because no matter how many times you cap and recap towers/keeps/camps a ton of you are not getting loot. Sheer numbers melt the lords and champs too quick for the mass of slower non-ranged players to get a piece of the pie.

So, many of your players have resorted to JP camping, spawn camping, laughing and sitting on top of others and the famous all class move of dropping siege on the fallen. All clkitten acts derived from a frustrated giant who can only win because of a sheer numbers. But, no worries, we still love the smaller wipes when our numbers are close to equal and your lack of ability shines. Plus it’s fun to see FA either run or hide so as not to engage. Do any of you fight without 40 plus behind you. Hope so.

Here is a little screen shot to prove the class of the Silver league that FA is. Note the red blob hunkering down on the treb in the background while the 10 defenders at Veloka have you scared lol And the member of “Fist” who was so tired that she had to sit down and break out the kite. Just a class move all around.
