Sounds like a T1 problem, you don’t really see this in T2 as far as I’ve seen. Hell, I don’t think I’ve ever seen boon sharing mesmers in T2, all I see is the horde of necromancers, eles, and guardians.

The whole TC alliance move to get with the most populated lower server DR should be more than obvious for anyone saying the information isn’t out there already.

Simply put if Anet wants to keep the last remaining groups in WvW they need to bring back Alpine.

Major issues I see with the DBL.

Too large and maze like- travel time from point to point makes it worthless to chase the ojs for a fight and sometimes one wrong turn keeps you away from them because of a wall or a cliff

Too much PvE- if I wanted that I’d go to all the PvE farm trains, get rid of the rock, fire, air crap and just have a keep

Too much vertical terrain- leads to being unable to move swiftly from one area to another when you get a call out for the enemy

Exactly. I have a laundry list of changes I want to see in WvW, but at this time we need immediate action. These 2 things will give players a small glimmer of hope.

Just changing 2 things can make a huge difference in WvW and bring players back.

1. Bring Alpine Back. Don’t make adjustments for the new mechanics, keep them disabled on the map, we just want old Alpine to run in.

2. Stab Changes. Revert the stability changes for now until you rework CCs.

I’m not saying this will keep players forever but it will bring WvW players back and make the game enjoyable for many that left. It will allow you time to revise your plans/maps/mechanics.

I know of a full TC PvE guild that was invited to test the WvW alpha. It makes no sense since that guild doesn’t even go into WvW. Anet’s logic is so sound.

When will we get some honest and open information about WvW and what will be done to fix it? Soon doesn’t work anymore. The only time any staff comments is to try to quickly put out the fire of the FSP issue but nothing about the actual game type. COME ON.

All the WvW community should join a BnS server and just open world fight there.

The first thing you need to look at is your build and equipment. This will make all the difference. From there work on knowing your bursts and your defensive skills needed. A good place to start is metabattle.com Once you get your build its a matter of learning how to fight each class, what to look for and what their weaknesses are. Good luck.

So WvW, my favorite part of the game, won’t have an attempted fix until later this year (if that).

With that in mind, are there other games out there that have a good form of WvW? The only one with which I’m somewhat familiar is ESO.

Might want to keep your eye on CU and Crowfall.

I will, thanks! GW2 was my first and only mmorpg. Now, with the failure of their WvW management, I’m at a loss as what to play.

In a week BnS will become available it’s f2p so worth a shot to look at. It will have a type of open world pvp.

Here’s the issue as a WvW only player I have 3 years of vague posts and hope to go on for everything that affects my beloved play type. After 3 years I’ve noticed a horrible trend of slim to no communication followed by something that most of the community doesn’t want or enjoy. I believe that with 3 years or this pattern it’s time for Anet to break the mold and give us some information on WvW and the “overhaul” that is being baited to those that haven’t given up full hope, yet. I am trying to be respectful because I truly believe this game has/had more potential than many others and I want to believe that I can go back to enjoying WvW.

I really hope it doesn’t have anything to do with server strain. If so wouldn’t a few servers be status BROKEN.

If you have a tag on people will follow. If you ask nicely and there is a true militia tag on then people should leave. Of course you didn’t pay for anyone’s game so everyone is entitled to play how they want.

Currently the engi does work with the pirate meta. Make sure you run fire sigil and grenades. Run something like sinister and watch the enemy die at 1500 range arrrrrrggghhhh matey!

I wish they could take AI pet code from WoW.
