Why 2-3-5 man in WvW when you can do small scale in PvP? I thought WvW was meant for large scale battles.

Probably has something to do with it not being open world and you can’t use the gear you have spent time grinding up. At least those are the two reasons I favor WvW over PvP.

The uncontrollable events and unpredictable scenarios are why open world pvp is the best hands down. Timed/point limit warfronts become who can do the same thing the best. Open is so unpredictable that fights occur out of no where. No limits. Except the ones the Anet finance team gave mindless zergers to keep sales up in shopping malls….. AoE cap and downed state ressing in combat.

And Why did PAXA leave NSP?

2 reasons. It’s simple NSP has the pvp base we are mostly looking for in enemies. 2-3 mans/ 5 mans every night other than the stereotypical [ALS/Os] Zerg of 30. When we played BP and AR all those “skill bases” knew how to do was follow follow follow behind blue doritos. Very litttle challenge other than not dying to 30 that can tend to be challenging. HoD and GoM were smaller pvp population and NSP wasn’t going anywhere so thougt it would be a good idea to fight more of our style against the small mans of NSP. Turned out to be one of our better Moves as far as quality of fights have gone.

Second reason was to be able to mess up some people who talk a lot of server wide pride and their success on the forums but lack individual talent for the most part… Very very similar to [ALS], [BURN], ect. Ect. Ect.

Remember when you singled out stragglers and I asked if you wanted to fight fair, and you replied with “QQ”? Oh, and then you talked “mad kitten” too lolol. So we fought you the same way you fought me, with more people while you couldn’t get away. My response to you is “QQ”

Also if Ronny isn’t such a bad guy, then why do people, from every server he has been on, hate him? Why is it that when we invited him to the established alliance, he showed up belligerent and drunk, and disrespected everybody in there? Why is it that his “alliance” meetings are legitimately just gossip clubs?

Ronny enjoys making threats against our “communist, socialist, terrorist” president, both in game, and in his teamspeak. He also is not objected to using slurs against other races, and gender orientations that aren’t his own.

The very first words I ever heard him say were, and I quote “I’m from the south, the confederate south… THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN” I don’t know about you, but anybody who says that is either completely 110% ignorant, or they are so obnoxiously racist, that they shouldn’t even be allowed to speak. Of course, Ronny has no issue with saying he is from Jersey, and that’s where he gets his Jersey Shore, belligerent attitude, accompanied by his arrogant and ignorant confederate beliefs.

I don’t know about you, but just those few things I listed make somebody a pretty bad person. Maybe he will have fun in a German server if he ever decides to transfer.

Besides the garbage you just spent 3 minutes writing about racial/communist whatever you wrote lol, you wanted to 1v1 in /tell and wanted to fight us with 10. We run 5. Won’t speak for everyone in our grp but Im not a dueler I think they are stupid. I’m a group specd guy who runs with other group specd guys. Bottom line is at prime time you will never be seen fighting with anything less than 10. And if faced with a good even fight you’d run before dying especially if there was a keep you could get in.

My last comment for all the fine 8 manners in here (now made into 5 manners with the worst group size in mmo history) is why don’t we put our 5 man guilds in the same tier and fight every night? My 5 guys switched to Henge because our home (NSP) had like 3-5 other 5 mans that ran every night. Now we fight them and have 1000% more fun…. Why have we not just called a tier land of the 5 and run BLs with our 5 mans seeking the other 5 man guilds?

I honestly think us old folks remember things in a subjective manner when we think of the old 8v8 fights in DAoC. Was it great, yes without question. I really enjoyed the player driven honor system around smaller scale fights. I loved the challenge going against tough groups.

But if I want to be honest, I also remember that most of the time there was 1-2 teams better or equal to us and were fun to fight, the rest of the teams you stomped, and overall it became the same thing over and over again. We still spent more time fighting zergs than we did other 8 man and really, who doesnt miss extending a zerg

I don’t disagree with you. We still would rather have the option of 5 mans to fight than striking a miracle having an equalish or even ish fight once or maybe a couple times a night. I always thought the term elitist was to be avoided. If I run a team of guys that are kills driven only… Hate that Anet is ok with 40 people spamming one button to kill a group of guys “who also paid” and have 10 years more experience and take the time to learn class/group/gear templates, and HATE objective Camping / flipping based “pvp” qualifies me? I’m ok with it.

You guys should consider our tier. Structure pvp is terrible…. It’s whose bunker build can sit and take the beating remove conditions and heal as fast as possible inside a fjcking circle. How dumb and Uneventful. Open pvp is obviously the best, it’s where “pvp” started. Our tier has lower pops but a lot that wvw every night. Starting to c more 5 mans…. It is horrendously stupid there are over 5 guys in here alone like me that drive or are snall manning everyday…. All spread out fighting 40 terrible spammers of the number 1 button. Consolidation gents… It costs 17-20 in game gold. Give me a break that’s like 5 nights of 2-3 hours selling everything u pick up from kills in wvw…. Or a day of farming some dumass dungeon.

Gentlemen first off I would like to congratulate you all for making this my favorite thread in the 6 or 7 months I’ve been playing / reading. bar none the most interesting and rewarding thread of them all. That is for 2 reasons; 1. There are about 6-7 of you guys who seem to be drivers of your 5 mans…. That keep it 5 and 5 only. Thank the mmo gods you exist still. 2. You realize how Anet’s financial team has been the carebears best friends by keeping the entry lvl to winning pvp (we in PAXA dont give 2 kittens about keeps or points) impossibly easy.

Team killer, usually I am the biggest disagreer of what you stand for. If you don’t believe me check NSP/GoM/HoD thread. I disagree with almost everything you said other than driving newcomers away. Vampires cannot live without blood. In my humble opinion Zergs ONLY purpose to is to be fodder for prepared 5 mans. 40 guys were wiped by 8 everyday all day in Daoc. I get your point that drove those 40 out of the game. So it is a challenge for Anet to keep both the mindless and the skilled players in the same pvp system.

The problem is after WoW where an 8 year old with the right spec and gear with 3 buttons could kill 95% of the people he came across, the carebears have this illusion that they (because 90% of the mmo market is THEIR population) hold all the power now in “pvp”.

If Anet took away ressing in combat and made it only out of combat folks could res and removed Aoe cap, that’s called a ball game changer.

Just tell them they are good. How many people can they take at the same time? I saw them surviving a good amount of time agains’t a zerg last evening.

That started as a 2v2 on north part of the island with some [Os] commander (which we knew there wasn’t a snowballs chance in hell it would stay that way). Then the waterfall began. 2 more [Os] champions showed up making it a 2v4. We still were fine. Got a stomp on one. Then 1 more added. Still pretty solid on our end. Finally the flood gates broke and what started as a 2v2 which was a decent fight but a victory for us, became a 2v4 tougher fight but still got a stomp off and would have won, then became a 2v [Os] commander Dorito and family. Wouldn’t expect anything different.

The servers should be able to handle 50vs50 without skill lags tbh. It’s pretty stupid that everyone is giving the players the fault instead of Arenanet. I don’t really see the point of making such small maps with these numbers if the servers cant even handle it.

Don’t understand how its important to anyone else where we went. But to answer your question, pvpin on NSP is extremely boring. So our 5 man didn’t quit the game completely, we xfered to HoD to fight a server (NSP) that has generally more than just 30 manning on their minds.

And yet you don’t even HAVE a drum to beat about other players… Because you don’t fight them unless youre on siege or have a keep door to run into. What you do takes numbers only and less everything else- skill, focus, organization. It’s incredible, in a real pvp environment your 200 person guild minus the few good players we have come across who we have mentioned would be laughed right off the server. ive dueled some PAXA 1 v 1 who were solo roaming.. 1 was a sylvari mesmer which was a long fight and i barely won in the end.. ive also 1 v 1 i think a guardian from Os which was very tough fight.. unfortunately it was in the eb jp and the guardian attacked me first after i ran past but it was still fun.. but it was at the beginning too so i guess it was no big deal anyway

I understand what PAXA is doing and have never had a problem with it. They apparently don’t like actual WvW though and therefore hate us because we like actual WvW or something like that.

No I dont like people running with 15 around them calling themselves good when they kill 3-4 people. Toble, funny, you have never actually come to find us with anything less than 10. Here’s what none of you [Os] folks ever admit….you will not compete nightly with us fair or even as Osif says….fairish numbers. Because of that reason ALONE you will find no respect from our camp.

Trolling was developed by the WoW creators who allowed 8 year olds to pvp and get away with killing people with 3 buttons. Stealth, Nuke, Stealth. Thus trolling. Unfortunately all the real pvpers have mostly left this game and we’re are left with what every mmo for the last 7 years has been left with after 6 months…carebear zergers. Pvp started in open world settings…not warfronts, so telling us to go back to instance based pvp isn’t where we are from amigo. The only difference is that Anet allows your 30 man protection of just that….having 30. Where I am from, our 8 would have S M O K E D your 30 guys in a 1 minute fight. Anet doesn’t want that because YOU will all leave if we did that on a nightly basis. Cheers…the finance team at ANet favor you baddies.

Here’s why our opinion of [Os] guild is what is it is…..instead of having a 2v2…they’d rather run up on a cannon, do no damage to us…than use their skills/character to find out if they can win. Thus, (other than that ranger I mentioned before who runs the condition build and the blue dyed guardian)….our opinion is what it is of [Os].

Why would you switch from 8v8 to 30v30….not even close to as fun.

Or how they killed 1-2 out of the 5 man their 30 hit and brag about it. [ALS] did it and [Os] is the same way. Host “commander tryouts”, go around proclaiming that your commanders are the only ones on the server worth following to absolute pvp noobs….When the truth is the commander tag in the first place is an absolute joke to pvp, let alone fight clubs to test your carebear bunker builds.

Toble since you and “Rob, that isn’t short for Robert” sit in LA on the forums and mostly pvdoor in EB, we haven’t had the fine pleasure of testing your merit as players. But as for the rest of your guild, (and truthfully there is an [Os] condition ranger and a blue dyed guardian that are very solid players, props to you defying the 400 person guild persona) we haven’t come across a fight under 10 that would ever get you close to “smack that’s backed up”.

NSP has lost to BP many weeks in a row. AR’s existence in T6 is completely tangential to that, as they’ve never actually done anything of merit. That’s why people on NSP have always treated BP as well as any server treats an opponent while constantly mocking AR as the bottom feeders they are.

You realize that the definition of a bottom feeder is someone on the bottom correct? In this case, that would have been 3rd place.

The context of that statement had nothing to do with ragging on DH. I have no qualms with DH. It was simply stating that AR doesn’t give up or run from a fight.

As for not doing anything of merit, AR has been closing the ranking gap between BP and AR substantially over the past 6 weeks. While were no shooting star of progress, BP realizes were no slouch either. We have been creeping up on them gradually because AR doesn’t have band wagoners or transfers coming our way. We never had. We keep our heads down and keep the pressure on. Wheres the merit in placing 3rd and then blaming it on 2nd place for not giving you a crutch?

Ok to clear things up, if I refer to NSP it is does not include [OS] seeing as you guys were the only ones that tried to fight you do’t deserve to be lumped in with the others so if I am poking at NSP it has nothing to do with your guild.

What are you talking about? We run, Splt runs, ENVY runs, the FAM guys run, tM runs, SPCA runs… I cannot speak for all of them but our 5 man gets 200 kills at least a night. Please inform us non carebears how that is taking anytime off.

We are a guild of all openers. Capture point holding bunker builds isn’t fun or even considered by any of us to be pvp. Open is it. There are a few small mans…. Unfortunately our server has 5-10 active lol..

Yea keep telling yourself that bunker builds sitting in capture points is hardcore “player vs player”. Everyone who has ever been a hardcore player knows open world with no restrictions is the real way to player vs player.

Who cares if the jump puzzle awards siege and badges of honor. You are aware that even people who are not interested in PvP or WvW still need those badges for their legendary weapon right?

Basically those that sit and camp the jump puzzle for kills have no skill. None whatsoever. They wait for the opportune moment to jump somebody while the person is merely trying to mind their own business. There’s no other way for these poor people to farm their badges other then to form a small party and take out single players.

And the fact that they will /laugh or something like that after they kill you is a clear indicator that they are doing it merely to aggravate you (trolls).

Personally, I find that funny since Anet has gone to such great lengths to try to make it impossible to offend players in the game by disallowing all sorts of names and banning tons of players for language, yet they leave in little commands like /laugh and put jumping puzzles in WvW areas which the developers knew would do nothing but make players upset.

As far as teleporting into the keep doors, is just a terrible flaw made by anet. No good answer other than it shouldn’t be allowed.

You guys do realize how pathetic of a loading system anet has established seeing as we see every mosquito, 42 river drakes, 15 guards and only 6 of the 14 people actually show? That is horrible.

If culling doesnt improve, 1/3 of the pvpers (not spvpers, open pvpers) will leave the game end of march.

I think the attitude you portray on these forums is entirely unnecessary but not uncommon for someone to get get ‘big boy’ syndrome behind the anonymity of the internet. I get the sense you don’t care, so I won’t try to convince you otherwise.

I will however attempt to relieve any confusion or misconceptions you may have about your guild and say that there is nothing particularly special about any of you. If you put 15 people on voice chat together and trait 12 of them to be nothing more than walking-meatshield-KD/Immobilize-monkeys so your thief can hit ‘2’ a bunch of times, you get PAXA. ‘Stability or aegis’. Thank you for explaining how to counter one, maybe two of your CC’s. When your entire guild is focused around rotating knockdowns one stun break isn’t going to go jack, but by all means please continue to imagine that it does and what you’re doing isnt both low or abusive. I imagine you prolly ran with 6 minstrels chain casting AoE mezz in DAOC too.

Bottom line, I think you give yourself far to much credit for ‘skill’ when the real reason PAXA continues to steam roll people has absolutely nothing to do with skill but rather communication and traiting for control, something any organized group could do with similar success.

But if it makes you feel better to be an internet tough guy, by all means, please don’t let common human decency get in your way.

Since any group can do what we do, why aren’t there other groups on AR or BP that “do what we do”? But you got one thing right my confused friend, we do steam roll the kitten out of people every single night.
