yes i noticed it too.
i confirm, i found a video of me a couple of days ago, i did an Arcing Slice on Guard sentry in wvw.
so i went to test, i was on 16 stacks of bloodlust and 15 might stacks when i did Arcing Slice, so trying to make my test similar and since the might nerf, 16 stacks of might means 450 power instead of the old 525 so i had to add 75 more power to make the test even.
i just added 7 stacks of bloodlust for a total of 23, still short of 5 power but its no big deal.
pics below, 1st one is pre patch with bleeding guard and im using attack of opportunity +10% damage to bleeding foes , second is post patch but the guard got no bleeds on him so the 10% to bleeding didn’t work, so if those figures are almost the same (and keeping in mind the -5 power) then the buff is confirmed.
And in PvP greatsword would still suck. So buffing greatsword traits for PvP is pretty useless. Even if you would have 25 stacks might all the time it won’t be viable because warrior is a bad roamer and even a worse burst class.
Playing shoutbow or hambow is already easy, another 2s on FG wont break anything there.
i can deal with “it sucks” than “it sucks even more now”, just because something isn’t viable does not justify nerfing it to the ground, it justify receiving the opposite.
and right +2s FG wont break anything in any part of the game but just to keep GS’s “sucky” level in check :P

I think Forceful Greatsword is fine, because might duration isn’t a problem for the warrior provided they’re using Strength Runes/any points in tactics.
not all warriors have the luxury of stationery targets, ignorance of conditions and 6 points into tactics.
5s might duration is almost instantly drop the moment you switch GS off, making it hard for this might to benefit other sets, and with the new might nerf this is even harder.
again this change thought for wvw pvp, in PvE keeping 25 stacks of might is already easy, another 2s on FG wont break anything there.
How about no. Forceful greatsword is one of the best PVE traits
you know there is other parts of the game than PvE.
actually i thought of this change for wvw pvp , more might duration the more you keep after you swap GS off, so it get used with other sets, minimizing the effect of might nerf.
I’ve said that they should eliminate the Spear functionality and replace it with a 5% DPS boost.
5% more damage will make it too similar to Slashing Power and maybe undervalue it.
i think Forceful Greatsword needs a buff in what it does best which is Might generating.

Arcing Slice: The damage from this skill has been increased by 10%.
the Damage against foes under 50% health did not recieve 10% damage increase.

since might got nerfed and we know why (ele, engies & meta non GS warrs), then i think this trait need a little bit of a buff.
it already offers low duration might (5s), so maybe raising the duration of might generated by this trait from 5s to 7s.
so according to you two, GS is super viable in pvp ?!
again please leave pve and even wvw out of this, at least you can use GS mobility in wvw but conquest pvp… nope, unless you wanna back cap points which thief can do it better.
lets see what tonight’s patch gonna bring, 10% more damage to arcing slice is not a big deal although i agree that arcing slice is a good skill and thats why i wanted GS to be able to cleave 5 targets just like it.

nope you can’t have all these in one build, you will be 1 point short.
to be clear the new brawlers recovery will be taking the place of the current Attack of opportunity (needs 5 points into Arms).
you can have (brawlers recovery + cleansing ire) OR (cleansing ire + burst mastery) but never both.
GS does less damage than what? Last I checked it does the most damage of all Warrior weapons the issue is obviously in PvP people do not stand still
Mending + Physical Training definitely needs some love and same thing with Shield Master
The rest is where you are getting kinda crazy – Fast Hands no traiting? Deceptive Evasion no traiting? Evasive Arcana no traiting? I do not see this happening ever the other classes will cry way too much
Brawlers Recovery is the only way to get away from Cleansing Ire – especially if you are not using the Longbow and are using two melee sets for example with difficult to land burst skills keep in mind you can augment it with the sigil that removes condis on weapon swap as well or something like shout runes with shouts – I like it where it is and use it in a build with no points in defense/cleansing ire
PvE aside please.
between all Warrior weapons, GS got almost the weakest AA, Axe AA can out damage 100b without rooting self, got no utility at all, no reliable condition application, no fields and no CC.
keep in mind that i did not demand more damage for GS, just raising the cleave count to 5.
Fast Hands and Cleansing Ire are 2 chains around Warrior neck, we always forced to spend a basic of 7 points before doing anything else, at least i want one of those chains broken.
and no, Brawlers Recovery is way inferior than the CI+BurstMastery combination, its just the location of Brawlers Recovery is just wrong for both meta and off-meta builds.
but if Brawlers Recovery in Arms line it will get used and picked, we might see a combination of (Brawlers Recovery + CI + Furious) ,making both the Arms line and the trait much more viable.
Greatsword
all Greatsword skills can now cleave up to 5 targets except Rush.
since GS does less damage, got no CC or utility.. this change will give Greatsword a unique utility worth of bringing to conquest pvp.
Mending
is now a Physical skill.
Physical Training
is now an Adept trait.
this change is to resolve the conflict between Physical Training and the other Master traits like Axe Mastery, Slashing Power & Distracting Strikes which made Physical Training to never get used, also by being in Adept it make the trait conflicts with Restorative Strength making the new Mending in check, unless the warrior wanted to sacrifice 4 points to take both traits.
Shield Master
this trait now merges both Shield Master & Missile Deflection into one trait.
this change to make Shield more viable and on par with Off-hand Sword when it comes to Missile reflections.
Fast Hands
is now a feature of Warrior requires no traiting.
Critical Burst
is now in Discipline line in place of the current Fast Hands.
Fast Hands is so important to Warrior to the point it doesn’t feel like a Warrior without it, builds without Fast Hands are rare to nonexistence, which forces warrior always to put 3 points in Discipline not including the forced 4 points for Cleansing Ire.
Critical Burst suits the Discipline line pretty well as a replacement for Fast Hands.
Attack of Opportunity
is now a Master Minor trait in Arms line.
Brawler’s Recovery
is now a Grandmaster Minor trait in Arms line, same place of the current Attack of Opportunity.
Brawler’s Recovery meant to build outside of cleansing ire or strengthen it, the problem is it located in Discipline line as a Grandmaster trait conflicting hard with Burst Mastery which combined with Cleansing Ire synergies better and offers more than Brawler’s Recovery, leading it to never get used.
so the solution is to move it down in traits or move it to other trait lines, since we made Fast Hands a global feature for Warrior, putting Brawler’s Recovery in there will make the current meta builds more powerful.
so its better to move it to Arms line as a Grandmaster Minor trait, since that line has nothing to cure conditions making it more viable to trait there.

just tried 5 times tonight with no luck, just when i stayed in a map with (Hero of the Wastes) buff i got the Coat box.
well in this LS we can see clearly Spear used on land and it fits warrior pretty well.
a Crossbow would fit warrior too, also Dagger as a Soldier profession can fit too if used like military CQC combat, based on countering foe’s attacks.

get the best processor you can get, higher clock speed the better and you should also consider overclocking.

since the improved Arcing Slice that you can now actually use it, i find it so easy to clean conditions, i even dropped zerk stance.
unless you really really need the -20% condi duration.
I don’t think zerging should be buffed for the Warrior – that’s already one of the areas in which Warrior excels most.
I think what’s needed more is stuff like heal buffs – nerfing Regen Signet’s Passive, buffing its active, and buffing the other heals. The regen signet makes Warrior too mindless. Also buffing Rifle, Mace a bit, Axe off hand. All of this love could be given to Warrior making it a bit more fun and unique. I think Warrior has taken quite a hit in the recent past.
this is not a buff for zerg warrior.
if warrior wants GS while zerging he will either drop hammer or drop Sw/W.
making it way balanced.
what we did is offered warrior a choice, do you want to cleave 5 targets on most of your skills ? or you want control and other utilities ?
maybe a couple of guardians played Golf with him, he might be a tiny fluffy Asura.

but only if you can guarantee 5 targets all the time in melee range which is rarely happens unless you are zerging in WvW which is fine by me, Guardian staff AA is 5 targets.
what i thought is since GS do less damage and bring no cc or utility in conquest pvp then maybe if we give the GS a big cleave ability will give it something unique worth of bringing to pvp.
i mean imagine a 5 cleave target 100b in a point, keep in mind not just players but also turrets, minions and pets can be cleared quickly from the point with this plus the usual downed players cleave.
also this will make GS warriors invest 4 points in Arms to get forceful GS, in perfect situation (100% crit chance, 5 targets in melee range) each hit is 5 stacks of might and we might also see some warriors combine it with Phalanx Strength.
