Fast Hands is not build-defining. It is an awesome luxury. Comparing 5s reduced cooldown on weapon swap to a Mesmer shattering around their self in addition to around their clones is silly.

Yeah its a luxery, but when mesmers get 6 Baseline traits then its OK, right ?

And on top of that they get chronomancer OP Aids line and that trait OMG “Times Marches On” Dogged March + Warrior Sprint in one trait as Minor ??!!!

give me a break dude, like mesmer needed a buff.

Just explain why it is essential to Warrior. Any reason you come up with can as easily be applied to any other class. It is an incredibly powerful trait and should not be baseline.

Because Warriors are masters of weaponry ?

Because Warriors are 80% melee class ?

Because Warriors got no AI ?

Because Warriors got no stealth, teleports, instant cast attacks, protection, regeneration, aegis, perma evades or combo fields ?

Because leaving Fast Hands as its now means every warrior will have to trait Discipline ?

Because Warriors got 00000000.00 ZERO Baseline traits ?

hmmmm lets see what others got :

Thief
Traits that are now baseline:

  • +1 Venom additional charges.

Guardian
Traits that are now baseline:

  • Consecrated Ground (Consecration skills use ground targeting).
  • Elite duration increase.
  • Improved Spirit weapon duration.

Mesmer
Traits that are now baseline:

  • Reduced glamour recharge rate.
  • Phantasmal damage boost.
  • Manipulation range.
  • Illusionary Persona: Shattering illusions creates the shatter effect on you as well.
  • Illusionary Elasticity: Bouncing attacks have one additional bounce.
  • Protective Mantras: Gain extra armor when you cast a mantra

Necromancer
Traits that are now baseline:

  • Wells uses ground targeting.
  • Minion recharge reduction.
  • Focus weapon range increases.

Ranger
Traits that are now baseline:

  • Longbow velocity increase and range increase.
  • 75% trigger rate on spirits.
  • Grant fury on use of Survival skills.

Why is this a question and no. Having been around since closed beta days and using longbow throughout most of the time, I have seen it go from utterly terrible but still fun, to being brought to overpowered, and them readjusted to be balanced. Longbow is fine as it is. You want to remove longbow and have rifle be our only means of ranged combat? Rifle would need a complete overhaul because it is in a miserable state.

Give a suggestion for replacement or suggestion for fix instead of filling the forum with more garbage posts.

Guys, necro has absurd cast times on it’s GS.
Are you really thinking war GS is worse then necro GS? War GS has superior mobility and pretty good DMG. I don’t know what necromancer will bring exactly, cause I would want to play it first, but it looks like superior damage and CC/Chill is what Necro GS will bring.
Both are good, but I’d rather have mobility though :P

Yeah but still i can see Necro GS rocking well in PvP, cant say the same for War GS.

War GS needs something extra there, like 5-target cleave on all skills minus skill #5, make it “the cleave” weapon, Mobility is great for WvW but not that good for conquest PvP.

Warrior – they’ll probs get some elementalist skills. A minion of some form would be the first and most obvious possibility for the warrior, since he’s the only profession that has absolutely no minions of any kind.

They are meant to be desirable properties that make or break builds, and entire trait lines.

dude can you hear yourself ? “Make or Break build” ?! , Dude Fast Hands Make or Break Warrior , and its not a desire it’s a must.

Discipline with current state will be 100% stable in every warrior build.

Why do we keep getting these threads? No it should not be made baseline, and it will never be made baseline.

Even if it becomes baseline, Discipline is still by far the best trait line for Warrior. Adrenaline and might on weapon switch, Warrior’s Sprint, Destruction of the Empowered, Brawler’s Recovery, Burst Mastery, there’s too many good traits on this line to not pick it up.

So Fast Hands might as well stay in Discipline, because with or without it any sensible Warrior will still pick Discipline.

Ok lets say you wanted the new spec line.

You cant let go of Discipline, you can’t let go of Defense, what you got left, you Need strength too if you want to use mending or GS and maybe Axe. you see ?

Which line would you let go ?

But if we got at least “Fast Hands” as Besline , while i would love to get “Warrior’s Sprint” too, then you know we might drop Discipline if the new spec is good.

If Fast Hands still there, no matter what specs they make Discipline will be there in every build.

Have you heard about shoutbow? It’s a horribly broken build with crazy sustain and it requires absolutely no skill.

LOL That’s definitely the reason why people are having difficulties to actually find a good warrior to compete in high level. LOL. there’s so little active good warrior right now, if backpack actually stayed on his engi and actually find a decent warrior they would have a better chance beating abjured. just a note, not disrespecting backpacks or anything, hes engi is insanely good, but his warrior is so kitten it’s not even real.

Playing at a competitive level is always hard no matter what build you’re running but you can’t ignore the fact that shoutbow’s one of the most forgiving builds in existence and even a monkey could play that. There are people who are obviously better at the spec than others, I’m just saying that the gap between a bad and a good shoutbow is a lot smaller than it is between a good and a bad shatter mes plus requires tremendously less effort to make it work.

I wonder what will happen if ANET deleted the longbow for warrior .

LOL you people are clueless, if you don’t play warrior get the kitten out of here.

Your little marathon on foot map-clearing mobility is kitten as kitten.
What really matters and we are talking about is in fight mobility.
mesmer has easily one of the highest in fight mobility while being extremly slow to do your little PvE map clearing kitten that nobody cares, go back to PvE you PvE farmers, no body care.

Reason why thief kill mesmer so easy it’s because of their crazy amount of insta cap closer. warrior’s gap closer can not even compare. i can just run double range on mesmer and perma kit any warrior to death. LOLOL

You know the reason why there’s only 3 DPS in the meta? INSTA GAP CLOSER.
it’s way better then any on foot mobility.

Unarmed could be real cool – just give warrior 5 skills +burst when no weapon is equipped (or only OH or MH) but where would you put the sigils?
On SPVP the sigils are separated from the weapons so it can work, but in PVE/wvw it is not.

No need for sigils just make Physical Training affect them

Warrior will get an off-hand weapon too, i still don’t see how that fact could affects traits. assuming you can use these traits with all your weapons not just an off-hand.

Where is envy coming from? Warriors have been in the meta for too long, braindead for too long at the same time, i wish they nerf warriors so hard just to hear you qq more.

Why is that when mesmers get some help you guys rain on their parade? Looks at the power block trait…

You are welcome to give feedback on Warrior spec, but please bring facts, just like what i’m doing now.

Warriors also get a minor trait that makes weapon swapping faster.
In HoT, warriors are getting Unsuspecting Foe as a minor.
Conclusion: Sometimes, minor traits are actually good.

This is one of those times. Move along.

Unsuspecting Foe is trash in Arms trait line, i don’t think any warrior will pick it over Strength.

For Fast Hands it’s a minor since the beginning of the game, it should be a Baseline trait, btw did you see what traits Mesmer is getting as Baseline ?

Or how the current numbers have yours reducing the condition duration by 8% more.

Or how Mesmer and Warrior play so very different that this is rather ridiculous.

Yes i do, Dogged March give 3s regeneration on 10s cd once hit by impeding conditions and get those on reduced duration by 33%.

Yeah on paper with that descriptions it sounds better

But Dogged March conflicts with 2 other traits, the same with Warrior’s Sprint and btw Warrior’s Sprint only works with melee weapons, chrono can have +25% speed on all of his weapons.

This still get overshadowed upon the fact that you can get all these effects with 1 minor trait

Yes Mesmer and Warrior play so different, so why give Mesmer a Warrior trait ??!

btw Arena Net when describing Warrior says “Warriors are masters of weaponry who rely on speed, strength, toughness, and heavy armor to survive in battle.”

Speed is the 1st thing Warrior get to rely on, i wonder if that description would hold on or might need a change ?

Not to mention, the other ways Warriors can get full-on Swiftness. You’re seriously going to go jelly-mode? It took more than two freaking YEARS for Mesmers to get a
“Speed-boost” Trait, while being shafted with a non-stacking Focus Swiftness and an RNG-screwed Signet.
Also. We have zero idea what fun/powerful stuff Warrior Specialization will get, now do we?

Warrior took a long time to get the current Warrior’s Sprint + Dogged March.

Agreed on warrior spec, but still this trait is OP.

Give us some of that great sword/sword mobility and then we’ll talk about fairness.

Well that set is not popular among warriors, its an extreme set made to be able to keep up to kiting professions like Thief/Mesmer but it’s not a hard counter and beatable easily, still Mesmer in-combat mobility is second to thief.
based on that mentality you could give us some Teleports ?

I have nothing against ooc mobility, Sure mesmer needs it.

But you have to consider as i said before, Warrior needs to spec into 2 different trait lines and pick 2 different Major traits (conflicting with 4 other traits) to get a similar effect of “Time Marches On”.

Was hoping saying it once was enough but I’ll say it again. This is a work in progress. Try to give feedback based on the utility and synergy of the trait instead of the numbers. Slow every 3rd critical hit could also be every 10th critical hit. It could be 8s of slow instead of two. Obviously these numbers are an attempt to be accurate otherwise we wouldn’t even give them but a lot of this stuff will go up and/or down before HoT is released.

Compared to Warrior he have to spec into 2 trait lines (Defense+Discipline) and pick 2 Major traits to get a similar effect, but Chronomancer spec in 1 line and get it as a Minor trait.

Warrior’s Sprint and Mobile Strikes are getting merged. That’s a pretty strong trait.

I don’t think you realize how slow Mesmers are out of combat. Mesmer has been the slowest profession since launch, I think it’s due time they get some movement speed without having to do some gimmick like using bad runes ( Centaur ect ) to get similar speed as other professions.

while yes they are slow ooc, but Mesmer is second to thief in terms of in-combat Mobility.

with this trait it’s an overkill (speed + movement condi reduction) and also the new Signet of inspiration giving passive Swiftness. come on dude!! now mesmer got both, best ooc speed and in-combat mobility.

I wonder of ANET description of Warrior stands after this ? “Warrior rely on Speed”

pick this with almost perma slow, alacrity,interrupts, 100% crit chance, teleports, stealth and you have created a Beast.

From this progression, Druid would be a fitting guess.
