HoT - Custom Guild Ranks - Old Permissions

Your custom ranks will still be there and will for the most part have the same permissions set. You should check them over post HoT ship to make sure everything is still how you want it and to set the new permissions.

There are two types of new permissions, those that replace old ones and those that are just new.
All the “just new” ones will be unset for existing ranks other than leader.
The ones that replace old ones will be set to whatever the one they are replacing is set to.

Example of replaced permissions:
“Guild Stash Deposit” will no longer exist and instead you will see “Guild Stash – Deposit Items” and “Guild Stash – Deposit Gold”, both the new permissions will be set to whatever “Guild Stash Deposit” was set to.

Example of a new permission:
“Arena Decorator” is just new and will not be set on any of your custom ranks.

Also some permissions went away and where not replaced. An example of this is “Display Guild Emblem”. This permission in practice did nothing at all and so was removed to reduce clutter. You will not see it in any of your custom ranks post HoT.

Could you please split Admin lower Ranks into 2 separate permissions Admin lower Ranks & Invite new players.

come on guys its just for week 1 cut the qq already, personally i would set my guild missions to be all in WvW, no need to go PvE anymore.

Then this doesnt really impact your ability to play with the people you want to play with.

That isnt true of any guild that enjoys getting together for PVE missions or that has members across servers and actually wants to play with them for missions.

This is a big deal to some of us that lead PVX or PVE guilds in the game. It is a bad precedent to set and hinders our enjoyment – as well as our ability to open our guild hall in a timely manner.

Calling something qq doesnt mean it isnt a legitimate concern. I lead a large guild of very active players. We have a lot of fun together. I see it as my responsibility to speak up and make the argument when something hurts our ability to enjoy the game as a group.

Bottom line – we will not be able to do missions together in a group the first week of Heart of Thorns – and will possibly have to wait longer than should be necessary to open our guild hall.

We play the game to play together. I know we are not the only guild in that situation. This seems like a little thing to guilds that it doesn’t impact, but it most definitely is not little for many of us.

So what ? its just ONE week then you could do what you want.

just be in the shoes of a PvP or WvW only guild for once who miss doing guild missions altogether in the past 2 years and here you are upset over a week.

How would stomp make sense as a knockback, over a launch? you stomp the ground making a tremor which launches them . . lol just use Kick if u want a knockback

Stomp is awesome and fine as is

“Knockdown”

basically like the rampage #5 skill “Seismic Leap” so you could actually combo it with other skills not throw enemies away.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when i saw dev posts in Warrior forums and not any dev but the OP Mesmer dev Robert Gee himself :p ,, im actually glad about this than the Berserk announcement, keep it this way dear Robert Gee and thank you.

Please look into Physical skills.

currently they are :

  • under powered
  • huge cool down
  • bugged
  • need rework

And let be honest, since the patch almost every Warrior took Peak Performance for just Ramapage.

You cant have a working full physical build, not like a full Signet or a full Stance build because:

  • physical skills can NOT compete with conditions, (we were promised to get Mending to be a physical skill but instead Mending got nerfed !!! and still not a physical skill.)
  • Physical skills got no access to Stability.
  • Physical skills got one stun break on a huge cool down, 45 or 36s if traited.
  • Some Physical skills need a rework (stomp), cool down reduced (stomp) & bugs fixed (bulls charge).

For Stomp maybe change it to somthing like this:

  • Ground Targeted 600 range.
  • Knock down instead of Blow out.
  • 5 stacks of Stability for 2s.
  • 40s cool down.

Please look into warrior movement skills.

  • Bulls Charge : buggy, miss target, pass the target, does not remove immobilize with Warrior Sprint trait.
  • Rush : TOO SLOW its called Rush for god sake almost make me throw up , buggy, miss target, pass the target, run in place, huge after cast.
  • Savage Leap : please remove the after cast.

was about 70% then i had to restart my PC and im back to 300 kb/sec despite i have 50 mb connection, ill miss the stress test this way.

Atm still only for Rampage, but I’ll try bull charge on WvW to see if it helps with my mobility with the GS/hammer build

BTW bull charge does not remove Immobilize with Warrior Sprint trait, you still get stuck in place, not to mention that is still misses like a blind dog for +2 years.

Physical skills are still lacking and Peak Performance trait is taken simply for Rampage, Warrior now is just a Rampage bot with a cool down.

“Peak Performance” was supposed to give +200% damage to Physical skills, that buff to rampage is Insane but to other skills 200% is no near OP but because of rampage this trait got murdered.

Physical skills can NOT compete with conditions, we were promised to get Mending to be a physical skill but instead Mending got nerfed * facepalm * and is still not a physical skill.

Physical skills got no access to Stability.

Physical skills got one stun breaker on a huge cool down, 45 or 36s if traited.

Some Physical skills need a rework, cool down reduced & fix it 2 years bugs.

Good Vid, but i have to say that Rampage is cheesy currently especially if brought to a 1v1 fight, really a push to win skill.

But hey currently almost everyone is cheap and using cheese builds.

So yeah. The reasons for which Lich-Form is balanced are that you can:

  • block
  • blind
  • go out of sight
  • reflect
  • use the terrain properly

I agree with all of them. But then, then there’s Rampage. Transform elite skill on 120s CD, which does 20% more damage, has a tremendous amount of CCs and most importantly, it deals TONS of DPS.
By using rampage you gain: access to a lot of powerful control abilities, insane DPS, mobility, immunity to CCs, something very close to immunity to immobilize/chill/cripple, permswiftness and on top of that, tremendous HP pool. So, what are the counters?

Reflects? Nope!
CCs? Nope!
Soft CCs? Nope!
Dps? Nope!
Stab? Nope!
Well then, maybe I guess I can outrun him? You guess, it: nope!

Yes, I am asking for nerfs, in case you didn’t notice. I consider Rampage an “I-win” button. And what’s most irritating is that there are NO counters. Not even run. Just hope to survive thanks to aliens or something.

Although i hate using Rampage and seeing warriors tending to rely too much on this skill but IMO Lich is still better , Dat 1200 range AA which can pierce up to 5 targets also that full boon rip + full condi cleanse skill.

They’re using Heightened Focus, a grandmaster trait in the Discipline line.

Some may even be packing Frenzy (a quickness stance), but most will just have the trait.

Been using Sigil of Rage for more than a year since it got it cooldown decreased, Quickness just make the life of a 100b user much much easier.

Coupled with Heightened Focus it makes for a dangerous burst with no need to sacrifice an utility slot for Frenzy.

After playing quite a bit last night in WvW, greatsword feels ruined. The damage is there, yeah. But one thing warrior relied on in the past was speed to get away from burst. Much like taking stealth away from mesmers/thieves, taking this away from warriors is a significant reduction in survivability. Any group fight with more than 5 opponents (or 2+ as solo) felt like a loss because of the massive pressure without any disengage.

Fix this please. Tune up the speed/distance on GS 3 and 5 to match 25% run speed pre-patch.

I feel Furious need a bit of a buff, 1 adrenaline per crit is not enough.

IMHO its a fair change really, yesterday was Smack Down day everyone was abusing it and even keeping adrenaline.

Now thats not to say that other things are balanced, its Not really, but the function of Berserker’s Power as of yesterday was one of those unbalanced things.

It should be possible to stack up to 13 seconds of Quickness by using Heightened Focus (4 sec) + Frenzy (6 sec) + Superior Sigil of Rage (3 sec).

yeah i know, Heightened Focus only proc @ 50% health and Rage a chance on crit, its a bit hard to sync all these 3 together plus keeping your mouse on the actual buff.

Does the effect seem to stack if you do it multiple times? Imagine a super buffed Kill Shot or Evis.

Na it doesn’t stack, it overlaps

this is one a serious flaw.

if you got the lvl3 20% damage up, you will lose it if you made a lvl1 burst after it.

I think most, if not all, of the classes have speed boosts of some sort now, and they all have to make trade-offs to get them. They also have access to gear to improve their speed if they feel it’s necessary. What’s the case that supports warriors being different in this regard and have it baselined?

Warriors are masters of weaponry who rely on speed, strength, toughness, and heavy armor to survive in battle. Adrenaline fuels their offensive power—the longer warriors stay in a fight, the more dangerous they become.

So you wanted every warrior to pick pack runes and traited warhorn so full TACT line ?!

i mentioned this in my post up a TACT warrior defiantly has no needs for Warrior’s Sprint.

Also why should i take pack runes ? the easier path will be to actually pick DISC line :] and be done with it.

Here is a better suggestion :

  • Baseline Fast Hands
  • Warriors Sprint moved to STR line replacing Building Momentum

Since a Shoutbow or any build that try to bunker points has no need for swiftness but they get it free because it is just there in same lines they trait to, but a STR warrior needs swiftness and have to trait DISC or Pack runes in your case.

Not at all, I gave a couple of ways people could maintain very good swiftness and/or combat mobility without traiting WS. You don’t need Tactics AND Pack Runes to do it (I normally don’t run tactics for roaming, for example), and you could just rely on your weapons if you wanted to (though I wouldn’t want to, personally).

Moving WS to Strength and FH baseline would certainly be convenient for the builds I like to run, but i don’t see how it addresses any class issues, it just makes things more convenient for some builds. Seems to me if WS is so important, you’ve just swapped Discipline for Strength which doesn’t address your core concern.

We’re actually quite fortunate with Pack Runes in that they bring a lot of punch and mobility that compliments damage oriented warriors very well. Traveler and Speed runes more or less replicate WS as it is now (not the new version), but I find them too much of a sacrifice.

At the end of the day, I think we have to keep that in mind. The issue is optimizing within tradeoffs and warriors currently have more ways than most classes to maintain high speed and mobility. That’s why I’m not personally convinced FH and WS are even remotely on the same level from a class viability point of view. WS is just a very good trait, especially the new one, particularly for melee warriors.

Still why would i bother with limiting my runes options when i could simply just pick DISC ? and get not only WS but a bunch of very great traits ?

Even if FH was made baseline, DISC will be picked you will be shooting yourself in the foot for not picking it, DISC is simply a heavy trait line need to be lighten up a bit.

The first step to lighten that line after making FH baseline is WS removed from there, the irony currently that the meta builds has no needs for WS, yet they get it for free, But a STR warrior relies on mobility more than anything else, Then a STR warrior could run STR-ARMS-DEF and sets the base right for a possible STR-SPEC-DEF when HoT get released.

Uh. I don’t think any warriors really cared for the old system. You were basically forced into the same traits and builds all the time. The changes are not so radical that anyone is going to miss their old build because all the new builds based on the old ones are better. Hope OP you realize this. If not than i dont even know.

The real problems will arise with the new SPEC line.

Anyway, for me GS/Sw-Sh is getting hugely buffed in terms of damage, mobility and condi cleanse. (Flurry > 100b will be a death sentence now)

My concern is with gear stats amount and availability .
