So, are you still using GS in WvW? I am trying to come up with something close to as good as what I had before this patch, but its hard. Probably going to be Hammer+sw/sh again.

but you know my Omnislash build, as its now without any tweak is working great.
but still i want to take advantage of the new improved traits and the new sigils, i want to get rid of lemongrass food and maybe even hoelbrak runes.

so the question now, do you want to invest heavily on anti-condi sigils + brawlers recovery to the point that you dont need cleansing ire and zerk stance ?
or invest just enough to compensate for cleansing ire misses ?
you know you can drop zerk stance.
so for ultimate troll anti-condi build.
you take Brawlers recovery + Sigil of cleansing + sigil of Purity + Sigil of Generosity + Cleansing ire.
why not equip GS/Sw-Axe ?

the upcoming AS is strong to the point that i think the next patch (after this one) will nerf GS even more.
GS will be a target of more nerfs in the future.
will i hope that i’m wrong but seeing ANet nerf history i almost bet they will do it some time, those who cried about the %5 nerf .. might brace themselves for even more.
as a GS/Sw warrior i like the changes, but that means that GS will be the target for more QQ & nerfs in the future because it damage will be easily available to every warrior, skilled or not.
I’m already seeing the QQ and it will not be about just mobility, i think ANet wanted that just to justify nerfing GS, just like what they did with the old Skull cracker build.
as i’m sorta like the change a bit but i feel the GS fell off the Skill based weapons, i mean the hustle you need to go through to setup 100b and such, its gone with Arcing slice buff. < the damage of the GS will be easily achieved.
because of that i foresee that Greatsword will BE GREATLY NERFED some time in the future afterward this patch.
but i never thought it will be this fast ANet, even before we see the new AS.
anyway look to the bright side there is a good potential with the new sigil of cleansing if it got no ICD, think of it combined with brawlers recovery and CI.

According to the wiki it’s
Adrenaline level 1 healing: 117 (0.05)
Adrenaline level 2 healing: 234 (0.10)
Adrenaline level 3 healing: 351 (0.15)Where does your 3 come from? o.o

and you have Adrenal Health (351+0.15*HealingPower), and assuming a full adrenaline bar, your total healing per second should be
711+0.2*HealingPower
Adrenal Health is per 3 seconds.

Except for all the reasons why they gave us cleansing ire in the first place haven’t changed.
you don’t need adrenaline for Brawlers recovery , how about that ? , a 100% guaranteed 1 condi clear every 5 seconds.
and you know what you can combine it with cleansing ire high risk (adrenaline gone) high reward (3 condi clear) although you would drop burst mastery.

you know what i couldn’t wait much longer.
so i fired GW2 and bought all the gear of the build that i theory crafted and set the traits and everything.
and did walk in wvw and maaaan, cant wait for this patch to get live, it will be awesome.
OP i’ll make it easier for you.
for PvE go full zerk, no way around it.
for WvW/PvP here you should ask yourself whether you go full offensive or bunker bit to sustain better.

This trait works against multiple targets and has no internal cooldown. AoE, fast weapons, and multi-hit attacks benefit a lot from it to the point where you can be at 100% adrenaline in a few hits.
It does not need to be changed — not every trait needs to be tailored toward 1v1 duels with slow weapons. If it were made to be 3 strikes of adrenaline, it would need to have a 1-3s ICD which would be a nerf overall.
you need to crit to make it work, even if i build a high crit chance warrior i wouldn’t take it in current state.
compare it to cleansing ire and Burst mastery, why would i go for Furious when i have these 2 ?!
with CI every hit warrior takes give him 1 adrenaline + if he used his burst it cleans 3 conditions + its a Master trait .
Burst mastery gives you back one bar of adrenaline for free after using your burst + 7% more damage on bursts.
i wonder why Furious a GM after this, hell even adapt traits are better.

But if burst skills drain adrenaline regardless if they hit or not… won’t that mean it always procs Cleansing Ire? You’re still spending 1-3 bars of adrenaline, even if the skill doesn’t hit. To me it seems that would make the trait more useful, since even if you miss you’ll still purge conditions.

Stealth needs to be changed to work exactly like the adrenaline change. It’s called balance, guys. Stealth is WAY more forgiving than adrenaline.
- Guardian activated aegis when you stealthed? Good, he counterplayed you. I’m sure you’ll just stealth again in 4 seconds again anyway while his aegis is on a 90s cooldown.
- Necromancer used well of darkness and you missed? He counterplayed you with a 50s cooldown. Your stealth is on a 4s cooldown.
- Thief spamming evades while you’re stealthed? Nice, you’re both overpowered.
- Warrior used his shield block while you stealthed? Cool, he’s actually playing the game. His block is now on a 25s cooldown while you can stealth again in 4s.
- Meditation guardian using multiple sources of block, blind and evades while you’re stealthed? He’s using cooldowns to randomly try to mitigate your overpowered skills with no telegraphs because you’re INVISIBLE.
If warriors could use burst skills while in invisible every 4 seconds and spam EVISCERATE EVISCERATE EVISCERATE EVISCERATE until it hits as well, the game would definitely reach esports status.

Even if it gave 3 strikes would you take it? In PvE there is not much use for it and in pvp cleansing ire gives enough adrenaline. Maybe it is better to give it 3 sec of fury to allies on cirt with an icd of 3 sec to make up for the loss of fury with the signet of rage nerf and the greatsword F1 change.
come on warrior already poops fury, all we need is this trait to work as a real GM in what it does which is generating Adrenaline.
talking from pvp/wvw perspective dont care for pve, i would drop cleansing ire and take it, if you compare it to CI, CI is way superior, you get Adrenaline when u get damaged and cure conditions on burst hit Plus its a master trait.
Furious should be the best Adrenaline generating trait since it does nothing else for a GM trait.

the problem was not the 100b by itself , but the trait forceful greatsword that gave on every critical one might … so with a full cast of 100b a warrior earn 8 mights in 3 seconds + 5 mights from signet of rage + 3 mights from great justice + 3 mights from battle sigil + mights from strength rune ++++ = 25 stacks of might that remain on the char ( +45% might duration from strength rune ) and final + 5% damage under effect of might from strength rune again !!!
this situation created a char , heavy armored , with the most power in game ,and guess what . this situation will remain after the next patch !!!!
this is wrong and it is the first time i see so many changes ( runes , sigils ) create so many exploitations in game .
april’s patch should be a patch balance , not a patch to create more exploits ….. oh no , they nerfed the boon stacking and they screwed fire aura and cleansing bolts …. big balances ….. eh ?

your talking like warrior is the only profession who can generate might (NOT), its on Crit on melee range, look at how eles or guardian generate might!!

and yes . i have send almost all my 100b any time i am using it because i will use it when i creat the situation to deliver all the 100b on my enemies with my warrior .if you or anyone else can not …. it is your problem.

i dont see the problem here, other from PvE its hard to keep 25 might all the time unless you are built specifically for this.

just a word of advice the world does not revolve around you, just because you use Forceful GS against a stationery dungeon boss does not make it OP.
even in PvP a full glass warrior or wvw Gank squad warrior mostly does not use Forceful GS they use Slashing power, the only thing Forceful GS is good at other than pve is wvw roaming.
warrior Arms trait line is the worst line we have if it wasn’t for Forceful GS and attack of opportunity no warrior will bother with it, you know a trait line is bad when the minor trait is better than all the GM traits it got.

Who the hell sits in the entire sword burst? No, no, why would you even finish the entire burst?
Also, I think Flurry only hits 12 times? If you have a 70% crit chance (which is quite high), you’d be getting something around 20 adrenaline, which is two bars, not full.
even if hes right, its a bad logic if i wanted adrenaline then i don’t go spend adrenaline so i can gain adrenaline ?!?!?

i will never go the condi path no matter what.
as a GS/Sw warrior i got a huge buff.
i disagree.
100b supposed to be a very hard skill to setup but once you do you get rewarded with great damage.
what you did (and ANet) is reducing what ever left of GS skill floor.
100b received so many nerfs to the the point that just few try to invest in means to set it up, with next patch those few will perish, why? cos Arcing Slice.

What your left with when you see a warrior using a greatsword is the thought “oh great he is going to run away like a wanabe thief the second things don’t go his way.”
so why you dont qq about thief fleeing ?
at least you can see the warrior all the time, you can see him moving away from you, if its a thief/mesmer you dont know if he ran away or standing behind your back.
What make GS strong is a combination of traits and especially 1 trait which is forcefull greatsword.
This is the one and only trait in game that provide might on crit without ICD. Just Add a 1 second ICD to this trait, without touching to GS base damage and PvE GS warrior will be balanced.
and put the last nail on GS coffin in WvW/PvP.
not just GS but also Arms trait line in a whole.

GS is your main roaming weapon now(tbh even in zergs you will see much more GS warriors).
GS was always a support weapon a mobility weapon, in some cases some builds like the skullcrack tries to unleash the raw power of GS, but mostly its your axe or hammer that truly do the damage, GS was a merely a delivery tool.
now for a GS warrior its easier than ever, you got the mobility but also got the damage unrooted damage, imo that means good but also a bad thing.
simple
Axe Warrior relies heavily on Eviscerate, bait him to use it, dodge it, bye bye adrenaline, profit.
Hammer warrior still got CC even if he misses Earthshaker.
Axe/Shield before the patch
Hammer with GS after the patch
