they stealth fixed retaliation might also fixed Arcing Slice too, currently im at work cant test it right now.

if they just fix leap skills, and fix Arcing Slice bug not benefiting from GS traits.
its basic info that Crack Shot works with Killshot also Merciless Hammer with Earthshaker.
and of course these traits don’t reduce burst CD because we have a trait line dedicated for that.
dude, LB ranger killed 100b.
its like Arcing Slice is not a GS skill.
just go and test it, it wont increase 10% in damage with Slashing Power, it wont give you Might on crit with Forceful Greatsword.
so you are telling me you cant make gold in a proper WvW ?
Arcing Slice does not work with GS traits:
- Slashing Power
- Forceful Greatsword

i don’t PvE
in last two tournament i used to get my bags full several times in a day on a daily basis, in this tournament loot is way less than before.
so investigating the cause,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it was the absence of PvE players.
a single good guild raid used to be farming these players and their huge trains and fights were everywhere all the time.
Now, you don’t see them anymore, why ? because of this tournament achievement excepting Friday night for maybe a few hours.
because these achievements are easier than a daily, that is why i don’t feel the new tournament, its the same guys/guilds that you already face in a normal WvW day.
Leveling a warrior, pre-patch and post-patch. Don’t really see any difference.
My guess: you’re having heavy lags, which affect your skills which require good sync with server the most (the same happens with aspect skills in Labyrynthine cliffs and Dry Top).
its more of a PvP/WvW problem.
but even in PvE Rush/bulls charge can overshoots mobs.

i meant compared to last 2 tournaments.
We’re aware of the issues detailed in this thread and are investigating ways to address them. The most likely culprit is the way latency is interacting with how Steal is scripted.

when is the last time you saw a warrior using a GS in tPvP ? in fact sometimes your team will blame you if you bring GS, every time you see a warrior in your team you expect a hambow and be honest you will feel relived for that, if hes something else you would have concerns.
whatever is the GS warrior doing right now in PvP, LB ranger can do it way better.
Well, that raises a general question: Would you rather want all weapons be balanced for one game mode (that obviously being WvW), all balanced for all game modes (~impossible with only 5 skills) or split up for the game modes, some specializing in one and some in the other.
Currently they’re mostly doing the last.
to be clear i have nothing against rangers even with this newly buff.
all i ask if Hambow is truly the cause of all this QQ towards warrior, then plz nerf Hmabow, not the already underdog builds, these builds needs a buff.
what ANet doing is nerfing things around the hambow things more needed to other builds than a hambow, making hambow and forcing it patch after patch to be the only way for a warrior to be viable.

why would you use 100b when you have Rapid Fire on ranger ?
- its ranged can get it to 1500 range
- almost same cd
- faster cast time
- Combo Finisher
- 10 hits
- 10 stacks of Vulnerability
- can Pierce when traited
- it keeps tracking target
- does not root you while channeling
- easy to spam
- braindead to use unlike setting 100b

well if these other skills really affect you to the point that its not playable like what most GS warriors experiencing.
then you should you make a post to fix them, and you know what ANet will fix them in a day, a thief get 1 bugged steal out of 10 and everyone is mad, warrior get bugged skills 9 of 10 times and hes greedy .

warrior can pick 9 kinds of weapons, 7 of them are melees, the ranged ones Rifle which is a joke and LB is the only good ranged weapon we got.

if you ever managed to fully cast a 100b full duration to an enemy who have at least 20% of his brain working, then you will see stars and rainbows, Mordmorsh will insta die, the SAB explosion finisher will activate automatically even before the enemy falls.

So one single aspect, just a fraction of what makes a single weapon, is worst then a fraction of what makes another weapon for another profession. This is an entirely arbitrary comparison by the way.
And based on this, the former should be buffed.Well, Warriors have more baseline health and armor. So i suppose Rangers should get a buff to baseline health and armor. Because thats how this works, apparently.
Oh look! Someone who sounds exactly like what Warriors did a year ago when Rangers were whining about Rapid fire being weak and Hundred blades being way stronger. Seems like a year ago, Rangers didn’t think their argument was ‘arbitrary’, so why is it ‘arbitrary’ when its the other way around?

these bugs now are the biggest reason for NOT bringing a GS to a fight.
if you
prefer to kill fast as possible
then i’ve got a build that deals even more damage than before the patch
(i used to run a berserker’s power GS build too)the catch is that my build is full zerker, it has very little utility and obviously dies faster than the usual 2 stance builds with cleansing ire/adrenal health,
but what it does have is 16k Hundred Blades and 6k arcing slice crits
obviously its intended for hotjoin, which is what i use it for.BUILD if you’re interested
(note: this site doesn’t let you choose Assassin Amulet, which is what i’m currently running)how to use the build (fairly obvious):
NEVER use the signets
only switch weapon to escape, with warrior sprint, block and GS whirl and rush you can escape from pretty much anything if the fight goes south.so if hitting the heavy golem with a 16k hundred blades without any cooldowns sounds like a build for you, then have fun!
edit: if you’re lucky enough to be hitting enough targets to get 25 might stacks (which happens alot more than you’d think using this build) then you could get to see one of these 21k hundred blades (this was on the heavy golem too) XD

well you answered yourself now, you need to invest in means to make 100b viable, sPvP is no where like PvE, no one will stand in your melee 100b unless you force them to.
Rapid fire in comparison is light years more effective no need to use an utility for it.
And similarly you need to invest to make Rapid Fire good, infact the Longbow in general. Without the range upgrade trait, that whole 1500range argument fades away. And without Read the Wind as GM trait, LB greatly struggles hitting targets more then 1000 range away.
The need for atleast a GM trait to get it to actually work i’d consider a notable investment. Needing to use a CC from a utility skill or from a weaponset is what 100b needs to work.
I’m not convinced the new RF is balanced either, but atleast use arguments that stand more then 2seconds of scrutiny.
i would gladly take the investment in traits than in my utilities any day.
i never played ranger before, but really since the patch been playing as a full glass ranger but you know what i win 1v2 fights so easy without even breaking a sweat.
No need for investing in utilities to setup Rapid fire means i can take Signet of Stone, means i can take Protect me, means i can take Signet of Renewal, 3 utilities for sustain.
lets see what Liewec’s GS can do with his almost PvE build, whatever he do a ranger can do it 100 times better.

since the latest patch almost all warrior’s leap skills 9/10 times never hit, pass the target, lags out or hit but put you outside melee range.
well they used to miss before patch but now the case is too severe.
the only way to make sure that they hit is to use it almost in melee range!! so what the point of these leap skills?
these skills are now a liability to take.

Fix them all, that’s fine. But also put the ICD check in there because the Warrior is only going to swap weapons once every 5 seconds at best anyway. Better to be safe than sorry.
you know warrior can swap every 4 seconds ?
