Power rev and condi removal

I’m not asking for more passive condi cleansing through abilities or traits, but I’d really like to see the cast time of staff 4 to be decreased so you can actually use it reactively and not be cc’ed on it every single time.

A shorter cast would be nice.

One thing to help you,
Use Riposting Shadows to clear cripple/chill/immobilize first if they are present. It also has the benefit of moving you out of harms way to get that staff 4 cast off.

I know you don’t wanna read it but you really just need to be avoiding heavy condi bursts with solid evades.

I tried out blood magic, leadership runes and wells tonight during wvw raid. It felt good enough that I am going to take the plunge and change out a couple items in my gear. Minstrel GS? YES!

I’d still prefer a dagger over focus offhand if only because of its aoe-ness for zerging, and wh over it for solo roaming.

I take focus for the single target, damage/life force/vuln/deep boon corrupt. Not much point running dagger offhand to do things you already do only worse.

Typically those who didn’t need SR were those who played braindead Condi based builds (to include hybrids). This was supposed to be the patch that buffed power reaper, not nerf them into oblivion.

When I switched from power to hybrid I changed exactly one trait,

It’s funny because I linked this thread in a spoof “hammer is op” thread and hammer damage got buffed while ranger signets got nerfed. It’s crazy.

Happy with the change. Too bad that took so long to fix it. No more medicore midline staff camper guard gets rewarded and no more cheesing hills lord room wall to damage people in lords room. Guardians should focus on actual guardian work like cleansing allies, giving stability/boons, CC’s instead mashing only autoattack.

Well you go ahead and try it and then don’t come posting about how playing support sucks cause no kills and no loot. If guards up and say forget playing support, yep good luck to all the “skilled” zerglings crying about no frontliners.

Every pip of maintained energy improves glider speed by 5%. Struck enemies radius:180 have their gliders disabled for 3 seconds.

Nah. We have LB #4 with basically that functionality. Stealth on #3 is much better, only I’d wish you get the stealth without the need for the arrow to hit the target (would make the LB a bit more competitive in PvP with all the projectile hate there).

Because most of them are useless staff campers that spam laser beam at 1200 range.
I put them in the same bin as reapers that also camp staff at 1200 range.

Then there are the longbow rangers whose damage is so pathetic that it’s pretty clear they are running too much toughness/vita/healing power, while again camping at 1500 range.

It doesn’t help that the thing druids do best is run away. Not even being sour about that, it literally is what they do best and so attracts those who camp at range and contribute nothing and either runaway early in a bad fight or just get ganked.

Judging by the OP’s signature, I’m guessing he almost 1 shots people with a glass gunflame build, but can’t finish them off if they have an ally nearby. Then he gets angry about a mechanic that he already knew existed before he even attacked, and comes to complain on the forum.

why need for ally nearby, when some glassy builds can basically die from downed skills alone?

I remember a very fun fight I had in my druid few days ago against a thief – 1v1 fight we have unloaded everythign we had on each other – and he got to downed state 2 seconds after me due to condi ticks – then I have finished him off with downed#1 [all hail bleed on rangers downed#1] while helping myself a bit with pet firstly hitting him too and later – once CD came off – my pet ressing me.

I can totally imagine such thief then go into forum raging about downed states

On rev I’ve spammed 1 from down state on players for a rally. That slow is obnoxious in downed vs downed lol.

GW2 is the only true WvW atm. If you guys liked ESO so much more, you’d be playing it instead of posting here.

I’ve been playing guild wars for like 12 years.
I’d be playing eso if I had as much time already invested. Periodically I do play eso RvR for its environment. My magplar is veteran 30 or something, not very high.

I haven’t seen that.

I’ve seen some utility and F skills get charges. Haven’t seen that on any weapon skills yet.

In PvE or WvW, maybe? In sPvP, no body cares you managed to hit a dummy. The skill does not work at all.

In what manner doesn’t it work? It does exactly as advertised. Maybe it is the users who don’t work at learning how to use it that’s the issue.

Drop the Hammer is near useless for anything PvP related aside from the fact that it doesn’t have a red ring under it and in the heat of a zerg fight you can’t tell who’s doing it. Anyone else that gets hit with it is either braindead or put themselves in such a horrible position with skill cooldowns and endurance that they’d be hit with anything.

In PvE, the only use it has is that it can be placed in very weird angles and hit enemies where the other skills can’t.

Add in that it goes on full CD if you cancel it for any reason and you have a horrible skill.

I hit people in small scale all the time with it. You have to know what you are doing.

Vita might not be as important because reaper is already high health. Are we really going to see barrier stacking beyond 8k?

Thinking Apothecary and Seraph stats might actually be a better choice for a condition scourge.

Then of course there is always the celestial/might stacking option.

Nah they just doing select few.

2 known examples to core skills are Warrior’s Axe 3 gets 2 charges and the Kick utility skill gets 3.

What does that mean exactly?

Ammunition mechanic will drop with the big balance change together with a major trait overhaul and the barrier mechanic.
It functions like this: You have charges on skills and you can use them without a CD, but with a recharge rate of the charges itself. Lets say throw torch has 2 charges and a 8s ICD. You can use tgrow torch twice in a row but have to wait the ICD of 8s to get a new charge.

no they still have cool downs in between use, just smaller than the charge cool down.

Since other classes don’t have initiative, they won’t need ammunition. They already have skill cooldowns.

One reason they might add it is,

It’s a way to balance skill CD with a long recharge for more upfront usage.

Take Time Warp for example. People hold it in reserve because of it’s long recharge. Now we add 60 seconds to it’s recharge but allow it to build 2 charges with a 90 second recharge between charge use. Now people will use it more upfront more often.

People use time warp on a 90 second recharge right now with chronomancer.

This would do nothing but massively cripple an already terrible weapon. The damage of hammer is the main thing that gives the weapon any sort of purpose in the moments it has, while not addressing one of its biggest problems: it has no way of stopping someone from charging at you aside from praying they’re dumb enough to eat all of its slow attacks.

Damage numbers, cooldowns, and energy costs can all be redone later, but if hammer is to be changed then the skills themselves need to be reworked.

Hammer 1: Fine as is, damage can be modified.

Hammer 2: A short ranged cone attack, about 300, that causes cripple.

Hammer 3: Rework so that the leap location is where you end up at, and the blast finisher and chill happen where you leap from, making this a good kiting skill and give people a reason to question rushing hammer.

Hammer 4: Fine as is.

Hammer 5: Drop the Hammer is gone because it’s useless, and now this becomes Coalescence of Ruin but changed. Now, each of the three ranged points apply a different CC: 1200-900 being a short stun, 900-450 being a knockdown, and anything closer being a knockback.

Duration of CC and conditions can vary, but hammer needs a way to keep people away from you, which it can’t do as it is. I’m also thinking in the idea of not having weapon swapping because Anet NEEDS to remove it from the class to balance it properly.

I don’t think either of you play hammer.

Some of them are getting increased recharges,
But they are allowed to build up charges,
And the charges can be used back to back with short cooldowns inbetween.

So currently X skill has 15sec cd but now X skill has a 30second recharge but can build upto 3 charges that can be used on 8sec recharge.

My personal favourite was Perfect World, although technically not a RvR, with it’s up to 3 hour 60v60 battles (and sometimes 3 fights on 3 maps at once!), Territory Wars.

ESO’s main problem is the map is too big.

You are not supposed to run from spawn to enemies area,
You are supposed to branch outwards and control resources around the walled objectives to keep the way point system alive.

In gw2 to block a keeps wp a lvl 2 can throw a rock at the guards and contest it.

As a Hammer Rev lover I figured it was time for a hammer rework,

Hammer 1: Damage reduced by 50%. Now applies 5stack/5sec vulnerability and grants 2stack/5sec might per target struck.

Hammer 2: Ground targeted radial inward-cascade attack. Starts with minor damage on outer ring 300, medium damage on 240 middle ring and finnaly heavy damage on center 180 ring. Think downed state rev skill 3 with ground targeting. Increased cost to 10e and recharge to 5. Increased cast and ground animation.

Hammer 3: Added Rips vulnerability off foes and steals 150 health per stack removed. Increased rechare to 10.

Hammer 4: Reduced cost to 5e and recharge to 5sec. Added rollover skill that costs 10e and adds 15sec recharge to parent skill. Blinds foes 3sec and grants aegis 3sec to allies inside the cone every 2 seconds mark for the remainder of field of the mists.

Hammer 5: stowing will now give a short CD and refund the energy. Gain 1stack/5sec unblockable per enemy struck.

Idk just my thoughts.
