If they wvw nerf deathly chill the choice seems to come down to scourge for condi and reaper for power.

I’m on the fence because I built for wvw celestial power boon corrupts but was forced into deathly chill hybrid. But as full celestial I can make use of the healing power with barriers and still have boon corruption.

I enjoy listening to these people say roaming is bullying. It’s nice to see people who clearly have never attempted actual roaming chime in.

Personally roaming is anything from 1-5 players, with 5 being on the high end and the ideal being 2-3 if you want good fights (though I love solo roaming). Actual roamers aren’t looking for even numbered fights usually and want to challenge themselves to do group v X. Having played in gvg guilds at the height of gvg, I would easily say a good roaming guild is much more difficult to play in and requires more skill.

As for roaming vs havok. It’s about your group size and objective. Havok in my eyes is much more objective based and isn’t focused on fights. While roaming is entirely centered around fighting.

And for those who seems to think that all roamers do is pick off Zerg tails, by all means check out some of my guilds or others videos on YouTube. See if it’s just us picking off zergs tails.

Idk I have lost some admiration for vT due to the level of tryharding a couple of your members have had the last week.

3v1 chasing a hammer rev with a bunker ele, berserker and a thief, that’s pretty disapointing for a guild who wants challenge fights. Or maybe hammer rev really is that op idk.

As I understand it,

Barrier stacking is capped by 50% of your max health.
Barrier skill strength is improved by healing power.
Barrier has natural rapid decay.
Barrier is not a boon.

Man, I forgot about not having a trap elite. Haha! Yeah, I’ll take an elite Smoke Trap instead. At this point, a Trap kit would be cool, too.

Kind of wondering how that button config would go. I can only use Engineer kit layouts as an example, since usually the kit icon flips into dropping the kit. Or would that be an Elite that flips utilities over and we choose which traps to slot?

Just make it functionally the same as Mortar Kit.

And the debate never settled.

Now a days I would scrap muddy terrain and the current traps.
Then create a new survival skill spike trap with build up charges.

Then create a new utility skill set that wasn’t so 2 dimensional.

I reckon Muddy Terrain is so close to being good, survival skill on a short CD, but the effects are absolutely meh. I’d remove the ground targeting and make it cast at your feet, give it a stun break, then add some hard CC like a KD to it, short like 1s and then it would be more like Slick Shoes which is a 2s KD on a 40s CD.

Charges on the traps and the ability to lay more than one of the same type at once would make the traps far better, especially Spike Trap and Flame Trap.

The best suggestion I’ve seen for muddy terrain was actually to just make it warrior’s stomp. How sad is that lol.

What’s embarrassing is that on day of reveal I asked in team chat if anyone knew if it scaled with a Stat and I got “nobody knows” type answers and people saying no. When I asked if anyone knew for certain I got called bad names and hate whispers lol.

I think they want to differentiate it from sharpening stone. Which is also why they likely failed to buff sharpening stone the way they should have, 1 stone covering all targets hit by an aoe strike. It would have been monstrous aoe Condi with sharpening stone, sharpended edges, vultures stance and bonfire.

Not yet. It might work like Thief venoms where it counts as the player dealing the condition damage or granting might (preferable), or it might not and use the allies’ stats instead (such as how Spirits work, which is not preferable).

If it works like the latter, it will be definitely hindered. Also not sure if it’s stackable with multiple Soulbeasts using it in proximity with each other with the shared stance trait. It’s worth bringing up since it’s a unique buff with an ICD interval.

Think he is wondering if the icd is per target or global.

Assuming 50% crit chance and 2 attacks per second you could get 66 ticks of poison from vulture stance every 30 seconds. Under similar circumstances, current sharpened edges would inflict 30 ticks of bleeding from the ranger alone, the old sharpened edges would inflict 60 ticks.

I’m fairly sure we can not only attack faster than 2 hits per second but 50% is a conservative estimate when it comes to crit chance, but more important is that sharpened edges affects our pet too (which is not only more power but…) and may compound on itself while in Soulbeast mode. So the real reason for the nerf may have simply been the engine struggling to handle 133% chance to inflict bleeding on critical.

They could have still just left it at 50%, but every other chance for bleed (or other damaging condition) trait is 33% so… Yay symmetry?

60 stacks of bleed? Did you even play with sharpened edges? ever?

That’s kind of true… but you’d have to time it JUST right to land that one shot of blind cause if you did it too early they will remove it with their basic attack while downed.

Stop and think here though. If I’m playing an Engi or Ele or jesus pick any other class in the game, I can dive into a group of 4 players, pop my (damage immunity, shrink, block, whatever) and stomp the player with zero fear of being interrupted.

Can the Revanent do this? Nope. Not even close. Getting that first player downed, and stomped instantly, almost assures victory on the first team fight.

Not to mention if you blind to early, or get interrupted, you’ve now stopped pulsing your fury to you and your team and you lost 40% critical chance!

HOLY CRAP!

I lost 40% crit chance, to stomp 1 player? REALLY?

You’re thinking this is a good thing?

um the fury boon stacks duration and is quite persistent. And yes its not very hard to deny a downed opponent their cc skill with an instant cast blind.

Now cleave, that’s another story.

Based off of the fact that not a single persistent glider skin is available outside of the gem store, coupled with the fact that the expansion is only $30 I can almost guarantee that;
1. There WILL be mount skins,
2. They will most likely only be in the gem store.

This is the reason I’ve been changing my gold to gems to build up and also bought the 80$ PoF package. Just waiting to see what the expansion brings to the gemstore. If nothing good I will just finnaly buy more shared inventory slots.

I have noticed this happening a lot more with Rev tablet, which apparently has the same properties as a blink spell. Moving that thing up a tiny set of stairs is way harder than it should be. Meanwhile, it can travel through an entire tower wall no problem. But heaven forbid I try to move it somewhere slightly above eye-level.

When I tried tablet the one thing I loved about it was the fact it could go anywhere you could target.

Just because you die to something, doesn’t mean its OP. You WILL occasionally die to every build in this game, ever. Sometimes your fate is sealed, sometimes you get outplayed, sometimes it really is just BS. Accept it. You are not supposed to literally beat every class 100% of the time, that is just a probabilistic impossibility. People need to learn to take losses and not cry for nerfs every time you actually die to class you don’t like or THINK is easy, therefore they deserve to be trash tier.

Now understand what Hammer actually does in wvw. It’s simple. Hammer rev is a ZERG spec, it is SUPPOSED to shine in the fog of chaos and madness. This weapon is meant to help shred apart poor zerg groups through sheer, but consistent spike damage. It is ranged weapon with VERY slow, and VERY telegraphed animations, and to make up for this, it has a long range with high potential damage that cannot be as easily mitigated. In a game where literally everyone is spamming all sorts of mitigation and reflects, it is critical that at least one class has access to simple, but heavy POWER aoe that cannot be easily mitigated to help break stalemates and attrition. Having a couple dedicated backline hammer revs in your party will put a signifigant toll on enemy zergs.

If your front line if full of zerkerlords (not surprised if it is bc all people do is spam glass builds anyway) Then a couple of power revs will quickly shatter your formation. I cannot tell you how many times I walked onto the battlefield and single handedly changed the flow of the battle into our favor because the enemy zerg either lost the plot or had no little sustain or tanks to counter my additional damage.

The only thing I really agree with is making CoR a priority to render in because it is a frequent/high damage source that cannot be easily mitigated, its probably something people should see. But anything else? No, are you kidding me?? Revenant has already been nerfed to the ground so hard its not even funny. Hammer has ALREADY been nerfed and people STILL want more nerfs, because god forbid you die from an already slow, clunky, ranged weapon in this game. Unbelievable.

If you die from a hammer rev in 1v1…..just git gud. Seriously. This should rarely happen….because no one plays rev to roam/1v1 with hammer to begin with, this is not what this weapon is for.

This type of pvp will be pretty unfair for certain classes while others gonna make a joke of it.

Looks like surge will depend on absorbing boons. And is getting access to a 3rd shadow step for the necromancer.

Out of rebalancing world populations, eliminating server lag and separating skill balancing from PvE, Gliding was the one you chose to work on?! Seriously?

You still have not met all the goals of the Scoring changes: reduce need for off-hour coverage, reduce number of lopsided matchups, give teams real opportunity for a comeback, and decide matchup winner fairly.

I bet you next work on getting those PoF mounts, and HoT mastery track PvE crap to WvW. Oh, wait! You already added Blazing Speed Muchrooms (Blessing of Elements), Bouncing Mushrooms (jump pads) and Nunoch Wallows (more jump pads). Perhaps a more proper greeting would have been “Hello, PvEers!”.

The nightcapping tears still strong I see. I’m waiting for them to do something about the multiple 50man zergs day capping all the time.

While i find this amusing…. with this change 2 things need to be in place.

1. You should not be able to glide while in combat. This is a HUGE no-no. Jumping off a cliff should mean death, not a freeb escape.

2. It should be 5x times harder, near impossible even, to get out of combat in wvw during fights, like while orange swords are in the area near youw. As it is right now, it is wayyyyy too easy to occ.

As long as those 2 things happen I think its ok to have it in for testing.

Gliding in WvW sounds awesome.

I’m a bit curious as to how it will play out though if, say, you’re just about to glide from a territory you own, but an enemy suddenly captures your territory/area, unbeknownst to you, will this also kick you out of gliding? Like if enemies are capturing your tower, and you’re gliding off the tower when they capture it, will your gliding then fail?

They say there is a time window where you can land or something.

For future reference, use the devs tracker if you don’t want to sift through the crying posts.

Yeah I told them they were stretching it pretty far to compare them in any way. They don’t look anything like, don’t have similar biography’s, don’t have similar motives. The only similarity I could find at all was that they both had fire powers. But Ragnaros doesn’t have a monopoly on fire powers lol.

Then I got threatened to get banned because I was apparently being argumentative lol.
