I wish all skins because account bound when using the splitter. I have some dragon skins I want to move but not lose.

considering there will be 4 of them and it’s not a real instrument I feel they missed the mark on price as well. 800 gems for 1 and 3200 for the set once all 4 are out is too rich for me. I enjoy the music and all but…

Thanks for the response. How about runes and sigils? I can change all of my weapons and armor at this point to any stats combo I want. However I have too much money and time invested in the jewelry which is rabid.

So without changing RABID jewelry what am I left with to configure? Probably only rabid armor.

I used to use 2 krait and 4 undead runes. Are there better options now? Perplexity? 2 mad king and 4 Travelers as I’ve seen someone else mention? I am confused as to which set best fits conditions or some sort of condition build. I feel with rabid jewelry I am sort of stuck there.

It is OCD for me. That doesn’t make it true for everyone else who wants the Mini.

Hi everybody. I’ve had an engineer for a while, used to play HGH a long while ago and haven’t looked at or touch my engineer in a while. But he always was my goto in WVW.

So I have some questions because I do not understand this class very well. I am hoping you have some solid answers.

Q1: What are the current normal “best” builds for WVW and where are they used? (ex. best roamer, best small group, best zerg, etc)

Q2: What gear do these builds use? Having a full link or a video link would be awesome. Necros, Thieves, Guardians, Warriors for example have tons of great videos, Engineers seem to be lacking unless you want sPVP.

Q3: Nades seem to be a staple. Tips on using them effectively in smaller battles? In zergs it’s fine. Just throw into the mass and hit whatever. My aiming tends to be a fair poorer when there are only a few targets and we are all moving about. Is there an alternative to nades?

Q4: My damage on conditions with nades seems to be rather low, or at least feel low. Perhaps I have no burst, perhaps that is normal? I feel lacking even compared to my guardian who doesn’t dps anywhere near my Necro or Warrior. I am guessing this is build / gear. I hope.

Q5: Are some weapons simply useless for some builds? For example. I have Rabid pistols, is the rifle a waste in rabid stats? shield? etc. I don’t mind multiple sets if I know when to use them and what to build them for. But I strongly dislike having a weapon with a stat combo that is useless.

Hope there are some good answers out there because I really want to understand this class better and the forums are a bit scattered? Perhaps a poor word choice. But it’s hard to find solid info.

Last month I opened about 26-30 chests and I’ve seen 1 scrap. It is what it is.

Sorry treeline. I am going off of others calling it OCD. I want to have a complete collection. I don’t need it, I am missing the Christmas mini anyways. Either way I want Mr sparkles pretty badly. He is an awesome looking mini. Guild mate got one from a friend who doesn’t even play GW2 but was at PAX.

I do all the dailies except for wvw ones. I simply don’t have the time for them. Sometimes wvw dailies can be quick, sometimes not.

I am just under 10k. There isn’t much left for me to complete really. Few dungeons, few others here and there. At this point the players on top, will stay on top unless they stop playing. They do all the dailies every day to stay there, and there is really no catching them.

Guess I am ok with that. I don’t need to be the top, I just like collecting points and getting my next chest.

Posts like this have made me bankrupt more than once. Lol congrats.

kojast: I don’t really understand your post. I didn’t say Anet was abusing me. I don’t feel abused. I feel slightly irritated that I can not get said Mini by any other means than ebay or going to a convention. This would not be the only mini I do not own in the game. I was unable to defeat their RNG winterdays mini’s and am missing one from there as well. I was unhappy I wasn’t able to get one. I would love a response from Anet on the matter, although I doubt we are going to see one anytime soon at this point.

You are correct; myself and many others are jumping to conclusions as to how we are ever going to get this mini. I have asking for them to respond. That doesn’t mean they will, but it would be nice if they did. I assume by now they have seen the multiple posts made by others.

As for OCD, what can I say. I have it, I live it, it sucks most of the time. Feeling the need to have them all is strong. I normally never collect all of something because like most things in life it’s simply not possible. But every time it happens and I miss part of a set it certainly bothers my mind. All I can do is ask for a response and give a suggestion and hope they listen.

tolunart: I can only assume you are not a collector nor have you ever been. Because of that you can’t possibly understand. You can label it however you like but collectors want a complete set. They don’t want to go to conventions or ebay in order to complete it. The item is made and sitting out there, why not sell it? Why only make it for convention goers? How many players go to conventions? Is it more or less than those who collect the mini’s or Dyes, or whatever. Do you make plans to go to a convention just because of a mini? I would doubt it. It’s a nice bonus you get, and I think that is great. We are simply asking for it to be sold to us for less than the 700+ ebay price.

You are correct here haviz, this could be a possible answer as to another way to get Ascended weapons. But I wasn’t talking about possibilities, I was talking about the current reality we live in. You are making a suggestion and assuming I want crafting to be the only way. This is a false assumption on your part.

Bright: Currently there are 2 ways to get this items. 1: RNG instant gratification. You can randomly get a random item. I am surprised they even let you choose stats. It’s RNG and we all know what that entails.

2: Craft the item you want with the stats you want. It direct and it’s time gated so you can’t be BiS in 1 day. I have many guild members who can simply buy most of the materials as it is. Time gating is supposed to slow it down a little. Sorta of works, sort of doesn’t.

Does this mean there shouldn’t be other ways to obtain these weapons? No of course not. I am sure we would all love fractals, WVW, Dungeons, etc on ways to obtain these new weapons. And in time we might see them. I hope we see them. But your OP was about QQing because you didn’t get to choose the weapon you got from an RNG drop. Does that really make sense to you? That you would get to choose what drops from a random monster?

Because I am sorry, but that doesn’t make sense to me. Loot table with specific drops makes sense. But that isn’t currently in the game for Ascended weapons.

I don’t think they were trolling or intending to with the title post. I think it’s wonky they would say such a thing when they died “thousands of times”. I use that quote loosely because I am sure very few of us keep actual track.

I say it is difficult because of the number of times you die. I understand that with proper time and patience you’ll make it through regardless of the “iCoin” or not. But without it; it would require a lot more time investment. Meaning that the trial and error part of TM is actually difficult. It’s a puzzle and you’ve got to figure out where to go. If it were an “easy” puzzle then you wouldn’t die and the path would be clear.

If it was “difficult” then you would die while trying to “Trial and error” through it. I am not talking about jumping skill here, I am talking about solving the puzzle.

As it was said above. The coin saves you time. But it saves you a lot of time when it comes to trial and error. To the point where it doesn’t matter when and if you die on part X. Or at a boss etc… I’ll simply zerg him until I win, or zerg a path until I win etc. It’s true I could farm 100+ coins and It would simply be a time sink, this allows me to pass it. But it also makes it easier for many players because of this.

3 is how many normal lives you get. How is that absurd? 100 deaths is easy? Really? I find that if you die 100 times to anything that it was a challenge to complete. I am not sure why you find dying 100 times to anything easy. Most players will easily cave in far before 100 deaths.

Congrats for sure. But is it really easy if all you did was bang your head against the wall over and over again? Time and Patience for sure. I am not sure skill is required for much with the Infinite continue coins.

That being said, of course I bought it. Would be really difficult without it.

Ah I see, so there is no real reason for people to complain then since you can simply skip the time gating?

Nike is right, long after you are done seeking MF many others will still be in the hunt.

It is a random drop. You didn’t do anything to really earn it. Killed random creature, get random reward. If you want a specific reward then craft the one you want.

tolunart: While you don’t buy mini pets I would bet their metrics say differently about the number of mini pets they sell.

How did you craft one already? bought the materials?

I got this achievement today as well. Doesn’t appear to be bugged in infantile at least.

how many deaths? Did you look at a walk through? If you died more than 3 times I wouldn’t say It was overly easy.

Server crashes and interruptions happen from time to time. It stinks for sure and can understand your frustration. Also was it the server, or a hop in route? I am sure they didn’t do it on purpose because they knew you specifically were at the end.

I haven’t gotten any of these boxes, feel lucky you even got one. :P

Most players aren’t sPVP players. Yet those who are want changes badly. And are vocal about it. Does that mean it’s not worth talking about either because it’s in the minority?

It is about completion-ism. I fall into this category as well. I’ve only completed cooking though. Except that kitten ed dragon star recipe I couldn’t get.

I have over 100 left. I started to try 8 orbs today. My best attempt in an 1 hour I spent on it was 7 orbs 20%. I had other rl things to do today or I would have spent more time on it. Since we know the gauntlet is coming back my guess is the save them?

I am looking for a better resolution as currently one has not been provided. Just received a simply sorry email. I bought the heroic edition and made the wrong choice. I simply asked for the item to be restored and or refunded.

“The Guild Wars 2 Support Team is only able to provide restoration of the Heroic Edition items to Heroic or Digital Deluxe Edition accounts within a short time after their receipt of the items.”

But then I am told you can’t or won’t do this. At the time I received this first response it had been 1 day, we are now into the 3 day mark and customer support feels this issue is closed but without any resolution.

I made a mistake in my purchase I am asking you to please fix that mistake. Simple customer service stuff here. I have kept all emails too and from me and customer support if that helps at all.

Not sure how much detail to post here so I’ll cut it short waiting for a response if you need more info. I am sure the ticket number can provide you with the information you need, if not please do not hesitate to contact me.

It sure does, I spent what I feel like was a lot of RL cash trying to get them and fell short. Such is life. I really want a Mr Sparkles and I have that they sell him on the gem store.

I agree time gating is not fun. However neither is instant reward. I hit 500 crafting and now I have BiS everything. Gee that was fun…

I also do not agree with using bots, or having the game do things for you while you aren’t online. The point is to log in and do stuff. I understand this time gated crafting might be boring stuff to do but if you have the mats will it take that long? I don’t think so personally. I make a quartz everyday along with dailies and it takes me 10sec or so.

Grated it isn’t fun but it doesn’t annoy me to do it either.

Because you play that Excalibur? I am guessing that is true. It would be very easy for anyone who knows how to play well in a zerg to get gear like that.

I think the torch needed something extra but that is just my opinion. I don’t actually own it though. I think all of them should have foot prints even if the main hand over rides the off hand. (does the shield have footprints? cause it’s not getting changed either, which I agree the shield already looks pretty awesome)

On that topic, most of the foot prints don’t seem to last very long. Moot got an upgrade and it’s foot prints didn’t seem to last that long either.

Most of these upgrades will probably not even be noticeable. And just think you could be an engineer like me.

I hope that isn’t true. But if it is, so be it.
