I know myself like many others are going to be doing this to greens. No idea with to do with sigils or runes, bulk a bunch of them for forge daily probably, others I’ll just forge right away. Maybe I’ll get 1 or 2 useful superiors out of them, but probably not even that. lol

I am not sure we’ll see this any time soon ,neither scavenger hunt or crafting them. I kind of imagine that they like precursors being super expensive and super RNG, as well as lengendaries themselves being super expensive.

Still not sure why you can sell a legendary but not an ascended weapon, doesn’t make much sense. But it is what it is. I would not hold your breath waiting for these to change.

On the other hand I see tons of players with multiple legendaries so it is possible to make and get them, it just isn’t exciting or special.

not sure why you threw eternity in there. It needed something to distinguish it from the other 2.

I would agree that crafting is rather boring now. I do like that we’ll have to actually go out and do things in order to get many of these. Hopefully it will get players out in the worth and do events again.

Cooking used to be one of my favorites because of all the discoverable recipes. Once you learn them though the magic slowly fades from it. All other professions really never held a candle to the variety in cooking.

I only ever did this on cooking. and if for some reason down the road those got reset I would be a little upset as well. I spent a lot of time and money learning those recipes. I know you get xp and all but it’s a money issue.

after boxes and such I net 2-4 rares per invasion. sometimes a few more, but I have yet to get less than 2 rares per invasion.

This actually sounds like a lot of fun. I am going to try this out.

sure people would complain about the price. at 600g I would not be able to get it for some time, and if it was limited time there is a good chance I’d never see it still. Again that would be sad.

But if it were for sale then 600g doesn’t make a lot of sense. Unless it was in an RNG mini pack that allowed you to sell it. Then that would be ok (despite my distaste for RNG bags) because at some point you could buy it.

Giving these out at events and then buying from ebay isn’t far different from buying 3rd party gold, which is a no no. (just my opinion)

I am still hopeful we’ll see this as an item for sale at some point. Or so I hope.

Few days ago I was flipping Entropy for a small profit. Nothing ground breaking but it was fun getting them for relatively cheap and reselling.

I would ask the following:
What gave you your initial impressions? You don’t really expound on these, other than to say it isn’t what you expected. (Most things in life rarely are, not an excuse just reality)

Rifle engineers are plenty strong, I haven’t played one since launch so I can’t say when this change occurred.

While I do not often utilize the shield on my guardian there are situations in which it’s invaluable. Perhaps this is not what you were expecting.

I feel like you are pushing yourself into playing a min/max setting. By doing so you are always going to be limited. No MMO will ever no have these “meta” specs that are Maxed out and therefore best.

This doesn’t mean you can’t play whatever you want and not be successful. I play with a variety of players in my guild all running whatever they feel like. I happen to run min/max specs myself but it’s not overly important for them to do so. We are able to complete all available content. Sometimes it can be harder or slower than other times, but if you are having fun as a group that is all that matters.

Deamhan: Really? When hasn’t berserker everything not been the meta in PVE? Do you need another set really?

This is certainly an issue, and in my opinion boring. But there is almost no reason to grind out other sets currently. The only time you even need alternate weapons is for sigil of night / force. This is true for almost every class (there are a few exceptions)

That is a fair point, about wasting time doing an activity like this unless you really enjoy it.

As an alternative; what is a better way to spend that time farming? Or is there another activity that I am missing? TP? I am rather terrible at playing that.

And there in lies the problem. 700 USD (I think the person nuts). However if a person is willing to pay that amount, then it’s not a stretch to think that normal collectors and players (much akin to myself) would easily pay 800 gems for it. I think 800 gems is even steep but I threw a number out there which is the average anymore for many items. (not overly happy with that average number)

For the record I am not against precursors being for sale to other players. Legendary weapons on the other hand, I am. Sadly I don’t see this changing ever. Which is rather sad to me.

You are playing a game, since when does that = a job? Do you need to make better than minimum wage in order to enjoy the game or make it worth your time? Seems silly to even consider it that way. This is and should be a hobby, at least for most of us.

Also your minimum wage is really low. That is a little sad.

How much profit is there in making IL?
I wish they would return all legendary weapons and not make them sellable on the trading post. I my mind this has always been wrong. There is nothing legendary about a weapons or item that you can craft and then just sell to other players.

I can think of a lot worse news.

Fair point though, it was kinda a general question as well as I see a lot of people say they are uninstalling only to read a month or 2 later that they reinstalled. I am lucky that I do not have hard drive constraints.

I don’t think we’ll see the old weapons. This will allow you to complete your set if you played last time. I might be wrong but I remember a quote saying that the old skins would probably not be back next time (referring to this time)

Why would you uninstall the game even if you were bored with it? Is HDD space that important and limited? Never really understood that. I still have wow installed and I haven’t played in 2 years. lol

Really off topic, sorry. Because GW2 is B2P it doesn’t makes sense to me to uninstall it when you could come back whenever you want.

Probably a good guess Buttercup. Now the question is sPVP or do I keep it for PVE :/ I hate those decisions. Chances are it’ll be a rare drop maybe and I won’t get 2 even if I get one to begin with.

I’ve been having a heck of a time finding solid PVE build for fractals and Dungeons. I run with a fairly static group.

I currently run an HGH build in WVW with P/S or P/P depending on my mood which is condition heavy.

We have a necro in the group and while those conditions aren’t really the same I hate to be too condition heavy. Most builds I’ve been seeing seem to be that way?

Some help and direction would be greatly appreciated.

Missing a lot of minis there which is disappointing for sure. BL tickets I will never buy again. I did it the first time fusion and it cost 95 usd for 1 skin. I am compulsive though and it was silly for me to buy into that RNG.

fireworks and super box o fun seem like a big waste. Did they sell well last time? perhaps that is why they are for sale again.

That isn’t really your point I understand and crashing is frustrating. But if you crash the game doesn’t know you where there at the end of the event when you are rewarded with completion.

Also to answer you Meriem, yes there is a chance you could crash again and no get credit. I have been very lucky but other guildies not so much. I do feel your pain and whatever is causing the crash is frustrating.

btw I am not sure the issue is that Dulfy or any site (ten ton hammer for example) has walkthrough for the patches released. The original issue was that they had this information with walkthroughs the day before the patch.

Responses will continue to be the same though. “Just don’t look at it” Which is a valid point to be made. I am just not sure why A net would want them release that much info the day before the patch and not the day of.

It seems like there are a lot of missing items that were for sale before that did not make a return. Mostly mini’s but costumes as well? Why 1 item a day, include all the items. It an end of the year sale for those who missed out.

I guess maybe there is a fear of flooding the gem store but I say let those who want to buy, buy these items.

Would love this answered. Please. Just let us players who can not afford to travel know you’ll sell him or he’ll be an in game way to get him.

There were 1 or two patches where some fansites had walkthroughs before the patch. (I think this was mostly during the Zephyrites?) This was because of press beta server which to my understanding hasn’t been active the last 2 patches or so? Dulfy’s isn’t the only site with these walkthroughs so it isn’t just targeted at her site.

It is what those sites do, they provide walkthroughs of current content as well as other things related to the game.

I don’t mind they have them. I can choose not to read them, I can choose to read them if I like and need the help. They are a great and helpful resources for the player base. I just wish that info was released on patch day and not before.

Players know what to do without reading anything, or interacting with much and blast through the content. Then complain there wasn’t anything to do. Or that it was all too easy, etc.

I realize not everyone shares this opinion, which is ok.

Fan sites will have complete walkthroughs within hours of the patch launch. That is not new and wouldn’t change.

My opinion was simply not to allow them to have enough information to post complete walkthroughs before the patch is even released.

It’s great to release some preview information to these sites; get players excited etc. It’s bad to have complete walkthroughs the day before the patch is released.

If the wintersday skins are going to be 5 tickets past the 10 days then that doesn’t seem like a sale or overly special. Its great you brought these back, as well as fusion (I am sure many are happy) but shouldn’t they be 1 ticket for 10 days to at least make it seem like a sale?

I suppose I am not really using the term sale as you guys there at Anet are thinking but if the item is available past the 10 days then the special part of these skins are that they became available on the sale day for the new BL ticket system.

I am not articulating myself very well but it doesn’t seem “special” to me and having some of these item for sale again which were limited time kind of indicated that feeling to me.

My memory isn’t what it used to be for there were some skins for sale for wintersday. I am not sure if it was all of them or not but I think it was. I think you could also get a ticket from BL chests at that time to get one as well.

Would be nice to know if this is a bug or is this intended. I got one using minis from the forge the other day and was very surprised (the yellow moa). This makes me wonder if Kasmer and Faren are obtainable from there?

Its nice that you can get the wintersday with lion claim tickets, but aren’t they going to be for sale? They were for sale for gems during winterday. 50 tickets in a few weeks is a lot of tickets to get and very RNG.

I am happy to hear that all these items will be for sale for the entire 10 days. I am less happy about super RNG wintersday weapons skins and what ever other skins you’ll include in this.

Fusion makes sense because it was never for sale directly.

I also missed infernium from winters day. Still very sad about that one. I spent a good kitten amount of irl money on RNG to try to get one to no avail.

As a collector I hate empty spot. I was hoping next winterday to get that missing mini (which might not be possible) this might make 2. It not the end of the world to me, but I do hope he is buyable at some point.

fused weapons were never for gems. You could buy BL chest keys and try to get lucky. I took me 95 USD worth of gems to do so. Other less and others more. Yes I am crazy for spending that much, but what is done is done. lol

I would not get your hopes up for fused skins for sale for gems.

Yeah I agree here. It’s a collectors thing. Many players won’t understand or care. But for those that collect this is like a new weapon skin that looks awesome but you can only get it by going to a convention.

Well I assume a new sale item or 2 or more each day for the next 10 days. This is day 1 and we got the white kitten. I missed buying him the first time so I picked him up this time around.

I assume the weapons skins and tools are coming. I kinda hope there is a tool pack as well as individual tools, that would be nice.

You are correct there, I am not asking for a free Mini as cool as that would be. I am willing to pay gems for it.

I opened up my mail and read the letter from Anet giving me a free booster. I noticed it was soulbound on aquire so I closed the mail (did not delete it) and switched to my WVW character. When I went into the mail it was gone and deleted along with the booster. Can you send another one? That seems silly but was happy to get it to use it. Either way thought I would report the bug here.

Wanted to update this. When I go back to my original character that I read the mail on the WXP booster and letter is there. I just took it on that character even though I’ll not use it there. just wanted to let other players know.

Does anyone know if these sales expire on the end of the day or at the end of 10 days?

As a mini pet collector this sucks. Please make this for sale.

I can confirm these were given out at Gamescon, I had a friend get one. I assume they will give them out at PAX as well which is also coming out.

I hated that Rift used to do this and there was never any way for me to obtain them without going to ebay or some other non sense place.

Anet please tell me us players who can not travel will be able to get these? Please. Throw it in the gem store. I am ok with that.
