Guild Wars 2

I was reading a convo some people were having and one guy said without doing map completions you won’t be able to craft my end game gear EVEN if I’m level 400 in that crafting skill. Is this for real? It doesn’t make sense to me why exploring all the parts of the world is required to craft end game gear so that’s why I’m confused

I’m talking about pressing the buttons on the keyboard

nah it’s not just shooters, i’ve never played a shooter on the computer, it’s that pretty much every single flash game like miniclip games used these or the arrow keys back when i was a kid so yea

Sometimes when I want to click my t ability I click r and vice versa. Same with my 5 ability. Do you guys get used to it or does it happen even when you’ve played this game for a long time

You can go either way, iv heard power p/d is pretty good never played it myself though and honestly have not fought one either. Most people go condi with the p/d set, thief as a condi class does not need much of a crit rate. Your damage is based off bleeds through sneak attack, your pistol stealth skill. Iv played condi thief for maybe a hour so I don’t know a whole lot, I play power builds only. However both are viable to my knowledge. If you go the power route add me in game I’d love to help out

I play P/D thief and what stats should my equipment have? +condition or +power? or something else?

I was thinking I should focus +power on my equipment and when I unlock traits I would get high crit chance then I’d do a lot of damage on my basic attacks

i wish you the only thing you could do with them is donate them to noobs

nah I just checked while filling out the support ticket and I bought it 2 days ago not yesterday like I thought I did. I don’t think I did much 2 days ago though I just downloaded it and created my character, it was right before midnight too. yesterday is when I actually started playing.

I bought the game yesterday after asking a bunch of people if I should get the game that day or wait for a sale and all of them, and I mean all of them said that there’d most likely be no sale for spring break and the sale would be in a couple months when that expansion comes out. So I bought the game and the very next day it’s announched that the game is going on sale. I’m so upset with myself right now lol I was telling my self “hey just wait a couple more days until school’s out then by the game” but noooo I bought the game for 40 bucks when I could have bought it for 15 ugh I’m really hating myself right now I even joked around with those people that I’d punch myself if something like this happened and it actually happened

Is there any chance I can get some money back if I message them somewhere?

WTF what’s with all these people saying thieves sucked I thought they were feared by squishies and one, if not the best duelist in the game

I’m trying to figure out which one I should main. What does D/D do better than a D/P and vice versa? And which one feels more like a ninja I guess. I’m probably going to go with D/P anyways but still I’d like to know what a D/D specializes in. D/P has more dodging and D/D has better single target burst?

I was in an empty map and it asked me to go to a more popular version of that map and it made me relog. I thought this game was just one big server besides for guild wars. Why’d it do that

sorry noob question but I don’t know where I can by a pistol for my thief. I’m level 4 and I only have a dagger in my left hand and I the quests are not giving me pistols

some do not want u in ur team if u do pve but they r bad because thief do have one of the biggest pve dps so if they don’t want u u rlly don’t want them ^^
thiefs are not bad in bigger pvp matches if u mean wvw but ur role is different u r supposed to snipe high value targets like necros and eles and keep out of the main melee
and how fun? ^^ well i’ve played 3000hours this game and 2300hours is thief most fun imo but not the most easy.
and it’s more like zed imo shadow steps ftw u even have thiefs guild as elite they r like better versions of zed shadows ^^
and u can play thief in many other ways u can play dodge thief when u evade all enemy atks and shadow step all around
or u can play burst stealth when u hide in the shadows and then go behind the enemy and burst him and then go back in the shadows and find next target

I come from a history of crappy mmos so the stuff I ask may be completely out of the question for a game like this.

For one, is there prejudice against this class? Like do people not want you in their party for certain things? and are they bad in those big pvp battles?

Also, how fun is this class? Does it sort of feel like Zed or Talon from league where you go in, kill someone, and go out. Or is it some high squishy dps class that has the name “thief” but isn’t actually ninja-like, like in a lot of other mmorpgs.

Hey, I’m new and wondering which class do you generally see the most of. I don’t like maining classes that make up 1/3rd of a game’s population so if there is one I’d like to know please.
