About weapon and/or stat combo’s, it depends on how u like to play. Ranged or melee, solo or grouping, pve/wvw/pvp/dungeons/fractals etc.

And there are some guides on the net u can look into, which can give a little more insight on the ranger (best class of gw2 )

Pets are a delight.

I’d like to disagree.

Pet’s can be usefull and handy, but they’re not a delight. They have problems with moving targets. Their reaction time makes them easily dodgeable.
Also they will happily stand in each aoe and get their kitten whooped.

Solutions can be:
- Increase pet AI so they can dodge or move themselves from impending doom;
- Make their reaction time a lot better and make them move faster, so when u call back they won’t still hang in lots of aoe’s;
- Make pets perma stowable and give ranger a little damage increase to make up for the damage loss;
- Let pets dodge when the pc wants too, give the pet a dodge button.

One of these options would help. And I think Anet will probably improve the pets in the future, since there’s a lot of feedback about it from rangers. But the thing is that some of the above mentioned options can easily make a ranger OP.

I think it’s a pretty ballsy move from Anet.

If ur really lucky, the forge is indeed the cheapest way. If ur not lucky then even 1000g isn’t enough. So I hope u get lucky.

As some above have already mentioned, let us be able to stow the pet and gain some added damage. The pet can be a real nuisance sometimes.

Afaik he doesn’t drop it, but it’s inside a little building, where (for me at least) he always spawns next to before wandering the map.

What can actually drop from the chests? A higher chance at those nightmare weapons?

Plz ow plz add a right click option to the essences to use a full stack at once. I clicked through 3 stacks yday and now have RSI

But really plz add this. If we need 4,2kk essence, and I have mostly 10 luck stacks. That would be clicking away 1680 (4,2kk/250*10) stacks of essence :S
And for me rate so far has been like 85% 10 luck essence and rest 50 luck…
So that’ll at least mean something like 1200+ stacks so more than 300000 clicks.

Btw don’t forget that using the mystic forge stone makes the forge random. If u throw in 4 gs u get 1 gs, if u throw in 3gs and 1 stone, u can get every sort of weapon.

About forging; U’ve got a nice sum of gold now, save it. Ascended is gonna come. new legendaries, new way of obtaining precursors.

I like forging, have gotten 5 precursors from the forge so far, sold them and threw the gold back in, I’m still poor. (1g something s atm). So if I’d have to choose, I’d buy a load of exo’s and throw it back in the forge…

With culling turned off we now see more ppl on the map. Weird thing was, I always played with show player names turned off, after this patch I was seeing all the names again from the players. When I turned off show NPC names, all the player names got removed from the screen, but the NPC names stayed. It solved it for me, but it ofc shouldn’t be like that.

Will we ever get a way to remove a skin from a weapon or make it sellable again. the way this game is going U can acquire a lot of skins, which after a little while are transmuted cuz u change dyes, or cooler skins come out with a patch.
When I see the tp prices on some skins, I’m kinda bummed at the fact I have several skinned weapons lying around that I never use and that have no use.

A while ago I saw that they datamined an item which would be able to retract a skin from an item. Would this make the skin itself sellable? Or just reapplicable?
For example, I’ve got a sclerite gs and a dragon’s jade sword I never use…

Adding 1v1, deathmatch with it’s own leaderboards would be a good one. And as I seem to read, mb changing the way the leaderboard stats are calculated. And create a filter that gives the best per each class.
And about rewards… I’d like to see a monthly pvp leaderboard, with the best of the month, overall and per class. With rewards for being the best. Some nice incentives;
- Monthly titles, for overall: August PVP Hero, August Ranger Hero w/e (I suck at thinking up titles I know)
- Receiving a ticket when finishing first (overall or class), which can be turned in to get an exclusive weapon set of your choice to use for the current month, with a nice golden hero style glow or w/e, mb a herostyle crown or something. Anything that would show what u accomplished the last month.

5v5 conquest ain’t always fun, I’ve had great and fun games with a lot of fights, also had a lot where I was just running and capping.
The biggest thrill in pvp for me is the battle before or after taking a point, not taking the point itself. Or the big battles that happen in the middle of the map. The caps are not interesting from an esport pov, seeing good and skilled players pwn each other is.

But some might find it fun and challenging to cap points with the enemy not suspecting it, which to me makes it a more tactical challenge than a skill challenge. And imho pvp should be about skill.

Hope this makes a little sense, if it doesn’t… well hey I’m Dutch, sue me :P

I mostly use reef drake/jaguar. Currently using hyena instead of jaguar, since it’s funny having 2 hyena’s with knockdown

Reef drake is just excellent on boss fights when I use GS.

They won’t make them drop from regular chests if that’s what u mean. They wouldn’t be special anymore. And this way they ensure that all ppl have access to the weapons and the previous ones. Which I think is a big improvement.

And some can be bought on tp now…

First off, I remember this being posted before, but I couldn’t find it anymore (sorry in advance for doubletopic).

This is something that doesn’t happen all the time, which makes it more annoying.

Something changed a while ago with autotargeting, sometimes mobs that are autotargeted still have some health remaining though u killed them. Which makes it harder autoswitching target. Normally autotarget would target a mob, and when dead would switch target. Nowadays this isn’t always the case.

If needed I can make a vid if this isn’t easily reproduced.

If i’m correct it’s the Krytan armor skin for chest, mask, leggings and boots and cofdungeon armor for shoulders and gloves

Sometimes u just get a run of bad luck… I had this too yesterday, forged about 50 rares and didn’t get a single exo. On the other hand I also had times where i forged 20 rares and got 3 exo’s… Just RNG

They’re already working on such a tool ig.

I’d like to see totals on the bought list and sold list. Just to see how much I spent already and for how much I sold it all… (since john smith wouldn’t tell me :p)

And btw having totals on selling and buying would be handy too. especially selling, since we’d be able to see how much we got coming our way…

But we are a versatile class indeed. And I won’t say I concur that sb/lb combo is useless. I just prefer a ranged and melee combo. And lb still fires way too slow. I miss how it was in Beta, it used to fire a lot faster.

Nowadays I run Steady focus, Piercing arrows and spotter. 150 precision gives about 7% extra crit rate. Piercing arrows is the best damage trait when up against multiple enemies. Plus use a proc on crit sigil (for example fire), this is really yummy expecially in zergs

There are better power options indeed. Against multiple targets it’s a decent weapon, though I dual wield mainly for the 4,5 (and cuz the 2 jade axes look cool). Mostly use it in events to tag as much as possible or in a zerg. Never tried it, but I think the sb will outdamage the axe 1 even when up against 3 targets with piercing not traited. The sb 1 fires so fast and the axe 1 relatively slow, that the sb more than makes up for the single target damage.

The 4,5 axe skills are just yummy.

I’ll try my current setup first (knight’s/berserker mix) with axe/axe and gs.
But i’ll definitely be playing the trials a lot too!

Plus we’ll need to do it a lot, since Evon depends on us, the chosen class

In colin’s blogpost. Mf will be removed and will be accountbound via achievements and consumables and stuff.

And mb they’ll just swap the magic infusion with something else.
First see what they change before yelling at them…

And they don’t cost that much, u will still have months before ascended gear is introduced, plus get some achie chests which will reward 400 gems.

Ever thought about all those runes and sigil’s on the stuff? Stats and sigils/runes are combined in transmutation and the skin on the other hand.

think about having a full set of divinity runes and a few fire sigils

I am actually curious if it’ll mean higher grade sigil’s and runes than superior too…

Anyways i found out i’m getting enough zenith skins to match the weapons i want. So for me the problem is solved.

Fyi zenith skins are given at 1000, 2000, 4000, 5000.
I needed 3 skins and have 5k ap, so i’m good.
For the people with <2k ap it sucks when u got the wrong skin, for w/e reason.
(though u can get 2k ap quite fast, even i have 5k+ and i only kill rabbits)

i tried evergreen, was a little too dark for the blade. will try the others. thnx for the replies!

I’m looking for a shade of green that resembles the jade green of the dragon’s jade cleaver the best. Anyone have any thoughts?

I’d use a dark color with for example a silvery or white color. I use illumination with the set, along with midnight ice. (sort of black&yellow )

Although red and a blackish dye go well together too. I now use the honed leather set (transmuted, since i like the coat) in midnight ice and red.

Btw i’m human male.
