Isn’t it illumination?

I have to give thumbs up to Anet for trying to please everyone. Last F&F some ppl were complaining (U won’t hear the ones that don’t complain) about the enddungeon forcing ppl to pt. Now they made a solo instance and a pt instance with, imo, challenging mechanics.
Now ppl complain of it not being as grand as the F&F dungeon. I liked it all so far, it’s cool, it tells a nice story, and a grand dungeon wouldn’t fit the small portion of living story southsun is.

Imho Anet pleases the vast majority of their community and they listen and do their best.

Canach didnt instigate the whole F&F since he also cleared out the dungeon… I think it’s Braham and Rox, why else would they put their weapons on BLT…. They have a hidden weapon facility that creates new ones

It seems to me that what does not work is the middle ground. Full offence and full defence seem to work but I cannot get a mix that works – instead of dealing reasonable damage and having some survivability it deals too little damage and does not have enough survivability.

I do not concur, i actually run a (imo) sort of middle build. I have some of everything. Though i drop mobs a little slower, my survivability is a lot better. But this won’t be my final build (the gs is from my wvw build btw, need to cof a little more to get a zerk gs)

- That’s where the food comes in. -40% condition duration on you helps out tons with regards to that. I also use heal as one (another change I need to update) since for the most part you’re in the front / mid lines during fight, having a big heal you can pop is pretty vital imo since troll unguent and healing spring’s regen may not provide that extra healing buffer that is needed. I’ll still give healing spring a shot and see how it works with the way I play though!

I would indeed give healing spring a try, but only used it combined with vigor on heal.
With gs i can easily stay within the circle boundaries and gain vigor every tick. Also the #3 skill gives leap finisher on healing spring.
Healing spring is the worst choice when ur on the move, though when u don’t need to move much, it’s a good alternative, cuz with evades u even stay inside the circle.

Happened to me yday too.
I did 2 cof1 runs. I could swap during the dungeon, but when i engage the seering effigy at the end i cannot swap anymore. Happened those 2 runs in a row.
When i got out of the dungeon after completion i could swap again and keybindings worked like before.
It only happened during the bossfight. When pveing in ssc, no problems, after going out of the dungeon no problems, when doing the dungeon, no problems, up until the last part.

An option is always to first try what suits ur playstyle. Then finetune it with traitchoices and different approaches in the mists on the golems. Andalso worth the try in pvp, cuz ucan finetune ur build based on xp in there. Doesn’t cost a cent to try different sets there. And youtube has a lot of vids of different rangerbuilds which ca help u decide whatsuits u best. Gl

In fractals u can use every build, same as in pve. Depends a lot on ur playstyle.
I’ve done fractals in cleric and in zerk, both work, one dishes out more damage and the other one has more survivability. Just try it with ur current set and u’ll notice fast enough what u want to change to be more effective.
It’s also dependant of the group ur running with.

You can always put this build in gw2buildcraft. It tells your condition damage on your bleeds. About food, i’d rather choose the lemongrass, and add a masters maintenance oil (it’ll put u above 50% crit also on your carrion sb). The lemongrass will give -40% condi duration, which is a lot.
I’d wouldn’t put the 15 points in power, but 5 extra in precision for the 10% when flanking and 10 points in nature healing for the regen and the 33% regen duration.

But it’s ofc a matter of playstyle.

I play a ranger and i love it. The pets make a nice addition. In pve i run mostly zerker build and have no problem with that, i kill most fairly fast.
About dungeons… A build can change a lot. So it would depend a lot on ur playstyle, a trapbunker ranger would play dungeon differently than a regenranger or a zerker ranger.

Karma is mostly usefull for a legendary, so use it if u can, u’ll gather loads and loads of it lvling to 80 anyway.

First redeem the card, with the gems on ur balance u can then expand the slots, dunno if u do this through the gem store in the TP or at the login screen…

It’s kinda easy keeping it current. Doing events will make u able to buy stuff from the heartvendors. They’ll help u keep up with ur lvl. Also do the personal story quests to help keep up. They give armor/weapons/trinkets too.

If the crashes are caused by crc errors, it’s caused by corrupted files indeed (Had this myself numerous times in other games). U need to fix these files. If – repair doesn’t work, trying a clean reinstall might fix it, since u already did, the error might still be caused bij registry entries (had this too in the other game). Might be worth it checking your registries? There are prolly better ppl here that can advise u how to do this, which lines of the registry u’ll have to remove to do this.

It’s rng, it’s worth it if u get the right runes. I have done this a lot too. Also with sigils. Sometimes u get lucky, sometimes u don’t. Just don’t think the odds are in your favor…

Add ability to change stats on range legendary weapons. They don’t need power, toughness, vitality for longbow/shortbow. Please add ability to change stats to power, prec, crit etc in game. Legendaries are great but stats need to be better and varied to match with exotics.

U can transmute them right? And afaik they want to implement something that won’t make u loose the legendary status when u transmute. Also to reply to another person that says make them stronger; Legendary weapons will be up with ascended weapons once added.

My suggestions for improvements are:
- 1v1 tournamentstyle pvp
- autoloot
- traittemplates

I think the game would benefit as a whole from these things.

I would love to see 1v1 tournament style combat… With rewards that can be used for the environment you choose yourself ( PVE/WVW/PVP). Arenastyle 1v1 combat is the most pure form of pvp.
And ofc incorporated in the leaderboards. Since 1v1 says more about skill than being in good groups of 5…

I would actually like the “loot flies into my inv” more. Except if it wouldn’t interfere my combat. If i walk over a dead mob it flies into my inv. If it would be animated, for example me bending over to pick it up, it would hurt combat.
I want to be able to pick up loot even when i’m in combat and strafing over a dead mob whilst evading someone or something…. (which to me is about the same as flies into my inv).

Especially handy with events with lots of mobs.

So +1 for the improved autoloot. Plz Anet, help us lazy ppl

+1 for traittemplates. They’re handy all over the game. In WvW solo or zerg, pve solo, pt or dungeon…

This would definitely belong in the top spot on the Anet to-do-list. I’m not an expert on developing (more like a noob), and don’t know how much work this would be. But this would be an addition that would benefit all players.

Btw OP said gear also, i concur, though if they need to choose first focus on traits. Gear is easier to swap than traits. Although would be cool to have a hotkey for swapping an entire set+traits. Was that in Gw1?

I do not concur. Firstly beacause it depends on your playstyle. I for one feel that a ranger should never be up front where the kitten hits the fan… Playing smart can really make this build work. Though u’ll get kitten mostly in 1v1 if u get hit. U can always use soldier and/or valk trinkets to compensate a little. Plus your traits do compensate a lot.

So if u want to play a damage ranger, go all out on berserker, but avoid getting hit

It says there it can… But seeing reddit shows only ppl getting rares, i guess the chance of an exotic from the box is already very low

Don’t actually get why the price is going down. There are less rares to salvage from since the boss mega chest change. Though the prices have lowered. I can only assume some ppl hoarded them and sold them, thus lowering the price. Cuz a few weeks ago price was higher but more rares dropped…

Btw on topic, prices lowering is good. It’s weird to see that u would salvage rares cuz the ecto’s u get from them are worth more.

And if u play wvw or pvp it’s better to choose constant damage mostly, since as said, stacks remove on downed state.

It’s always a challenge to kill the FoTM with a nerfed class

But anyone know any reaction on Anet’s stand on ever implementing 1vs1?
I couldn’t find any (though i’m lazy at searching )

I would love to see a 1v1 arena competition, where u can choose to either battle ur own class of class free competition. I always liked 1vs1 competitive pvp since it makes u improve ur skills faster, since u can only rely on urself.
Imho it’s the only thing this game is missing atm. And btw 1vs1 in small maps (mb some trees or walls, but not to much) with no side objectives, just plain killing. Would be cool with leaderboards.
1vs1 is imo the most pure form of pvp.

What does full, high, medium and low mean in account nummbers on a server?

Been trying to search for the answers, but coulnd’t find anything…

I just wanted to say, it looked really promising, but I died a gazillion times due to not being able to see mobs. Getting from server to server made me miss out the fight in the server I was in at first. Then going to another to find out I had to redo a whole part, I just finally dropped adherer hours of playing. And ended up with nothing. The event was really promising and cool to do, but it turned out to be frustrating and a waste of my hours spent. I quit cuz it wild take a lot of time to complete it again, and well some people have to wake up early for work…

Ask urself what u want out of a game? I like the fact that u now have spvp and worldpvp. I can do sieges when i want or just random pvp when i want, i can also farm when i feel like doing so. PVE content can only take u so far before it gets the same. In all MMO’s u can do all the quests, complete everything, have the top gear. Only difference is the amount of time u have to spend for it.

GW2 has the coolest thing ever, and thats balance. Everybody can kill everybody, no real fotm. This makes and keeps pvp challenging.

And about endgame content pve-wise; they’re always adding new stuff. And every MMO is a grindfest… some just take more grinding.

So ask urself, what do u want out of a game?

I tried it yesterday and it worked. Weird thing was though that defend the gate didn’t work at first. I retried and the second time i let myself get downed. And it worked, after that mobs kept spawning and story worked out fine. So in my case letting urself get downed by the first wave (i know is hard to get downed there) worked out well.

I would suggest playing ranger… But since u don’t have one yet, i’d suggest playing guardian, cuz heavy armor just looks cool…

Rabbits deserve an exclusive achievement… Why? Cuz they’re bunnies, which is reason enough.
