With salvaging exotics, check the sigil well. Check it’s price on the tp, i have had on plenty occassions that the sigil was worth more than the tp price of the weapon. And then salvage with a blsk to make sure u keep the sigil. That way u have some globs, mats and the sigil

Have u tried it again already? I entered the instance and exited too, i could re enter again last night. There was mb 2 hours in between and i relogged several times during….

You don’t have to even swap or press esc. You can just run away or maptravel to the next one.

I walked through every flag, unless they have it so that when u walk underneath a flag it doesn’t count…? Cuz some traps could be avoided bij walking past them at the edge of the corridor entrance (while ofc still going the flagroute). I Assume this doesn’t have an effect on the end chest.

And i like the jade lacerator and jade cleaver more than the longbow, the longbow is huge, too big imho.

Though corrupted longbow will stay my favourite.

Yesterday we did the devourer guild rush, we did 15/15 nicely and had enough time for other members to get to the chest.
The bug was that at least 2 members, including me, completed the course but weren’t able to open the end chest. My guildmember completed it several times and i completed it 2 times.

But when coming to the end i didn’t get transformed back and wasn’t able to open the chest (ofc missing the 50s, the guild comm, and the 2 precursors).

My guildie tried to relog, which didn’t resolve anything. I thought i’d rerun it, mb i missed a banner, but i got them all.

I salvaged 30 rares yday and only got 16 ecto’s. I salvaged them and got 47 dusts… RNG is a strange thing.

Do they type these messages or are these auto-replies…

Anyways back on topic, i’ll be going for the girlie dreamer, but it’ll be a long way for me, it doesn’t go fast in this game, but it ain’t slow either. As said just bank and don’t spend and in a month u’ll have a nice sum…

There are a lot of viable spots, just depends on what u think is viable. What return are u expecting to reach per hour?

Or try a bunker ranger, it’s a great healer too. The great thing about this game is the versatility of most classes. Ofc some builds synergize way better, but still u can play any char the way u want within the set boundaries.

If u like the trinity healer then i think guardian would be the closest.

If u make only 2g in 5 hours u are definitely doing something wrong.
There are enough farm locations which make a nice amount of gold. But other than the ones u mentioned there’s no get rich quick scheme.
Do chestevents, farm nodes, farm easy t6 mobs.

There’s more than enough to do. It just depends at what rates u wanna make gold.
U can farm charged lodes near arah, farm corrupted lodes in frostgorge, farm skells/karka’s on ssc. All give a decent return (although luck is required).
Farm loads of mobs for coffers and hope on wings and sell m etc etc

U don’t see it as boasting, majority does… However boasting would imply the player is skilled. So that in it’s own would be a compliment?

John, could u check how many rares of 75-80 i already bought? And how much gold went into it?

I was over at the zergerer last knight and i was lagging so bad i died (couldn’t see where i was at…) So i’m not really seeing problems.

I like my fake quaggan backpack. Also it’s kinda nice i don’t get quagganblood on my gear from it, otherwise i’d need to take it to the cleaners before logging off… Imagine the cost

Ow and a really good tip is to check the sigils and runes on greens before selling them to a vendor. Some runes and sigils on greens are worth 10s or more while the weapon or armor piece only sells for 1,8s. Same goes for selling weapons and armor on the tp. Some runes and sigils will sell for more than the bltc price for the armor is (although this is more with exotics).

You should try mobs at lvl70-71 too, my friend in the southsun event with its upscale took his lvl70 character to play there and he already got t6materials. And even tho the mobs were lvl80 u can only get drops to your lvl (like a lvl10 player will get t1-t2 materials), I assume that if you can get t6 at lvl70-71 these lvl mobs should drop them already.

Tier of Mats is decided by the lvl of the mob. Armors and that stuff will come at ur own lvl.

I’d get the permanent tools (best bagslotsaver ever), and i would wait for the permanent salvage kits to come.
Bankslots and just sit on the rest, mb some skins every now and then.

Although taking a bath in them sound nice…

Depends on ur build, a more specialised build is generally stronger. So i would say no, although i have the rune set myself mostly to compensate a little of my rangers missing features.

u’ll get more gold when ur lvl 80 from just farming zones and doing events, since u’ll get t6 mats, lvl 80 exo’s and rares. For now just explore ur way to 80 and enjoy the ride.
U will be making gold fast soon enough.
At lvl 80 u can make about 2-10g easy doing events to cof1.

(afaik cof1 is minimum 75, never tried it below, so dunno…)

Wouldn’t it be more convenient to use a single chattab per guild? I don’t know how lively the guildchat is, but if i’d be in 4 clans like the one i’m in now, having the chat in the same tab would allow me to see more chat than /say and /map in la…

But it would be handy indeed for ppl that are in more guilds.

I always use master salvage kit for rares. For the exo’s i want the sigil from i use the blsk. Blsk, as behellagh stated so well, is too expensive when using them for an ecto.

If u think about going for legendary u can use most of it for that… otherwise it’s mostly temple armor or orrian boxes for some gold

Wait until the balance patch is actually live (afaik end of this month first patch), and then talk. If they nerf the pet damage mb they up some traits to balance it more or give the range some more damage. Which i’m all for, since my pet isn’t a reliable source of damage. And in some cases the pet is a huge liability alas. Cuz fluffy my reef drake is so cute

Balancepatch will come end of june (at least first one, more seem to follow), although it’s likely some things will change tomorrow too.

I thought i read somewhere on forum that the fireworks show gets displayed every 2 hours. U just have to sit through one show to get the achievement, i don’t know how long the display lasts…

I can just see sandwichmancer bunker builds AOE-ing gluttony, and ppl around blowing up…

Not that i frequently use it, but axe/dagger is a combo which gives u range and melee in one. It’s a good combo (plus 2 sigils), u can range, have aoe, and when they close in u have evade. And can then change to full melee. Also other way round, when they flee, u have a cripple, chill, gs as gap closer.
Axe is also more meleefriendly than sb, due to the bounce.
It’s not bad, but it think there are better options, but it will depend on your playstyle.
Sb misses a lot of it’s potential in a bm apo build.

Wvw tip is indeed a good one. I’ve been waiting 3-4 months mb more for my last 1% (3 poi’s 1 vista, since on server it was permared, and u guessed we were never red.).
Just check EB map once a week and complete the other battlegrounds anytime it’s your home.

PVE I leveld by completing a zone and then moving on to the next, this combined with my ps. When i had completed my ps i just went zone by zone.

About the achievement points, i played 600 hours so far and I have about 4300 points. Another player likes to salvage and has 6k points and 2000 hours of time ig. Who is the better player?

There’s nothing conclusive that shows someone is a good player. Some are very knowledgeable, but can’t even dodge a tree. Other players know crap, but anticipate very well in combat…

Haven’t done arah exp, but story was nothing, mb my PUG was just really good, dunno.

I don’t know how Anet’s take is on this, I have changed my build several times in the last months and I now have ascended gear that doesn’t really synergize anymore with my build.

Long story short, for build diversity it would be handy if u could trade in indeed.

I got one i think in my 7th or 8th chest. Got me a GS skin with it, gotta love the eye.
I opened somewhere between 50-60 crates, that all got dropped.

Did you see the price of any crafted exotic 80 armor set yet? That Settler thing it’s kind of cheap currently.

A full medium apothecary set from tp will cost 12-13g. Settler’s will cost 12g + 7,5g in shells. If u sell the 420 shells u only need 4,5g to buy the full set from tp.

I liked the whole chain, same as most worldbosses. They’re all zerged which kinda makes any challenging mechanic obsolete.

I once did shatterer on my server at a ridiculous time during the middle of the night. It was hard as hell ànd challenging with the few ppl on.
If the queen only gets attacked by 5-10 ppl it will be hard. If it’s 200 ppl she’s a pushover. Same goes for all bosses. Most ppl are chestfarmers (i’m one too) so all bosses will be zerged. (nr’s mb wrong, but i was lagging like hell when i entered the fight so i wasn’t really paying attention to the players).

As a second I’d choose torch, why? Cuz it does nice damage and works well with sword and sb due to the combo.

I had lots of fun with sword torch, since they go so wel together. The 5 skill is great for melee combat, does good damage, gives fire shield. With the cripples on 1 and 2 they can stay a little longer in the fire, keeps m warm and cozy. Approaching with 4, dump 5 and hack away… Torch = average cd.

Sword wh wasn’t my favourite. The 4 skill is nicely animated, but i didn’t use it alot, i used the wh mostly for the 5 skill. Does give the fury, which imo synergizes better with the axe. Wh = longest cd.

Sword dagger is more of use in an evasive build. With sword dagger it gives u 4 evades. But i rarely use sword dagger outside of pvp/wvw. Dagger = shortest cd.

Axe imo is cool for offhand, though very situational. The 5 skill is an über skill. But rarely used. The 4 is a nice skill that does nice damage. Axe = average cd (same cd as torch)

Axe 4,5 give combo finisher for heals with healing spring.
Dagger 5 gives finisher with healing spring
torch 5 gives combo field

Just look what fits ur playstyle the best and fits ur build.

After 8+ months of constructive feedback, on certain issues, we’re just realizing our suggestions are being ignored, for more important things, such as, randomized content via lotto-boxes & temporary content.

SPvP has only gotten 2 maps with no new gametype on the horizon. WvW finally got some goals though, which is a plus.
Dungeons are still chaotic with non-trinity gameplay.
Still no trait templates.
Still no LFG tool.
Dynamic Events aren’t so dynamic.
No new heart tasks. The world hasn’t changed in old zones, even though Living Story was supposed to change it.
Loot is still terrible and non-rewarding.
Crafting hasn’t changed.

Cash shop items are always added though. Where is the new gear at? I’m talking about new sets, not 1-piece gloves from Molten Facility, or backpacks from Holiday Events, etc.

Don’t take my word for it though, just go read the suggestions forum and go back pages, and you will find 90% of them ignored.

There’s a difference between ignoring and working on it. I see a devteam that listens to their customers. For example a solo instance on ssc. They improved tooltips, skills etc. For rangers they improved pet AI. They made wvw more rewarding. Ascended stuff in wvw etc etc, just read the patchnotes. They took away EBJP so don’t take up que. And many more things that are great improvements based on what we as the community gave as feedback.

The fact that Anet prioritizes differently from u is not a reason to define them as ignoring u.
And some of the points u added are ur own opinion. U miss the trinity for having a pt role. Here it’s working together and combining ur skills to do more damage (so that’s using class benefits too, albeit in a different way from what u know and apparently expect). Trait templates would rock, but are not critical. And i love the loot, i come from another MMO, in which drops sucked and to think i even played on a X4 server and drops sucked there too.

And to add to the analogy: you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar

Only point of constructive criticism i can think of, is posting more in the forum, to make it more clear to ppl what they can expect from suggestions.
Maybe give topics tags like:
- Will be discussed in dev team
- Will never be implemented
- Will go to suggestionslist
etc etc.

Cuz what i see the most on this forum is ppl thinking Anet isn’t listening, though they are. Why? Cuz ppl don’t see the reply to the post they made and therefore think Anet does diddle with it.
Which I can imagine, since they’re so actively working on making added content to the game.

There’s actually loads of ppl farming the area. I always play in overflow and with large groups. Due to the event a lot of prices have dropped, which is not a bad thing.

And i guess the reef rider has a higher drop chance than the chest mini’s. Since it’s chance on supply crate x chance on mini from it. So indeed rare would fit better.
