Leader of Looking For Gandalf [LFG]
Worst Commander of Ferguson’s Crossing (Self Proclaimed)
Answer 1.
No, the character level does not matter. It’s the item level that is the key.
Answer 2.
No, magic find will not help at the mystic forge.
John Sheppard ? I would take Jack O’Neill
Why don’t we just get Rodney, Daniel, and Samantha to figure out how to use a stargate/blackhole scenario to wipe out all of the dragons at once. Then no leader is needed at all!
And for the record, I sadly was never able to acquire any zat replicas. I could never justify the price for a non-functioning weapon.
I do have a PS90 though…
It was indeed the amount of ecto she lost.
That’s was very kind of you Kree. The game can use more people like you.
.
Hmmmm. I just now sent five stacks of ectos to the wrong account……..
Sadly, I only have two stacks left, but you are welcome to them. I can always spend another few months world boss farming to get them back.
Opps. Butterfingers me. I went and hit send again. Oh golly, whatever shall I do with myself.
:P
Lornar’s Pass is a nice big area. Lots and lots of POIs.
I’m all for seeing progression in a clean up of Kessex Hills, but in all honesty OP, if your friend left just because one map changed a little in design from what it used to be due to a progressive story, it sounds like he would not have played the game for much longer anyways. Someone who leaves for something that small was not too big of a fan of the game to begin with.
No. Nothing is added for fun’s sake anymore. Now, things are only added so the devs don’t get bored between gem store updates.
:P
Sounds like your best bet is going to be to join another server, and keep gems handy for a quick server transfer in the future. At least with megaserver you can join your friends for PvE until you can finally get into their server for WvW.
I see what’s going on here. Look very closely in the first picture. You’ll see an ANet employee in the upper right. Clearly this is a setup to convince us all to gamble more. They are trying to make us addicts!
puts on foil hat
I have seen a considerable increase in my rare drops from mobs since my magic find went above 200%. Back in the day, I never got rare drops. Now, I see 10-20 a day easily.
RNG either really hates someone, or really loves them.
Yes, it works. But you have to remember, if something has only a 0.0001% chance of dropping, even a 300% boost is not gonna get you to 1%. Random number generation is a fickle friend.
Also, the game is not even three years old yet, coming up on the three year anniversary. Good to know you have been playing over a year longer than it has been out though. :P
I am assuming the reason we have not seen any real updates for 3-4 weeks is because:
A: They have been getting the BWEs ready.
B: They are working on some gem sales and such for the 3rd Anniversary of the game.
I’d say we are going to see the anniversary sales soon, unless they decide not to do any this year, which would disappoint a lot of people.
Actually, a new race would indeed add new game play, as they would need new story instances for that race up to the point all races personal stories converge.
Not to mention a new starter area, new hearts, new city for them.
They might have just sent it out in mass, as I got the message as well, but I only have 31/50 points, and I have never had access to the GWAMM title.
Fun fact: I sold all 18 of them I acquired during that Halloween event for less than 5 gold in total on the TP.
I hate my life, of course. lol
Your best bet would be to submit a support ticket.
https://help.guildwars2.com/home and hit “Submit a request” at the top right.
Hope they can sort it out for you.
The truth? Gems→Gold is the best way. Takes the least amount of time, and yields the highest money made to time spent ratio there is.
Yes they are, they stated those 24 hour sales were just sneak previews, so they will be back, but they have never said when.
If my Little Orphan Annie Decoder Ring is correct, you just told us all to kill a banana…
Seriously though, can you rephrase that? Not really getting what you are saying.
I rather enjoy doing a round of chest openings every 6 months or so.
I like to wait until keys are on sale, and then unload about $100 to buy some, and open as many chests as I can.
So far, I have always made at least as much money as I would have if I converted the gems to gold, or made a little more, so I must be lucky.
The best way will likely be to wait until HoT releases, and get it that way. Otherwise, waste some money at the Forge.
Well, I have a surefire way of finding out what they would do.
Write up a support ticket and tell them what you believe you have found.
I’d never! I don’t work for them man.
I had a QA job last year. It really changed how I look at bugs in games. I was paid to find bugs and it was my responsibility to push the report to the dev team. At some point I was like, why would I ever do this for free? It’s the same as doing any other job without being paid.
Funny, I don’t work for them either. In fact, I give them money almost every month. But, I still freely send in bug reports when I find them. If you believe playing a game with your free time and finding a bug is a “job” you have performed and deserve money for it, well, that’s kinda sad.
Instead of dancing around an invisible elephant on the forums, dangling information to the users, why not just send the support ticket and be done with it? What good will it do to hold onto it? If you are waiting for a paycheck, I fear you wait in vain.

I think it was the butler, in the conservatory, with the candle stick.
No, it’s not. It’s not really that bad, to be honest.
which one is the buggiest in your opinion?
I don’t know that I can actually find one certain patch that can top them all, each buggy patch in the past had it’s ups and downs for certain people. For me, the worst one had to be when this one particular bug after a patch that caused any character that was in a couple of specific zones to not be able to log in, the game froze, and had to be closed manually from the task manager. My problem with it was I had every one of my characters parked in the specific zone that it was crashing on, so I was totally unable to log in until it was fixed.
No, it’s not. It’s not really that bad, to be honest.
Thank you guys for the mystical dragon, by the way. I have wanted that thing ever since I saw it was a thing.
In other words, keep all valuable items in your personal storage, so if hacked and stolen, a rollback will get them back to you. Anything kept in guild storage will never be returned to you.
I know this from personal experience. I have had people steal from my guild storage, and was told there is nothing that can be done about it.
The “closed off” part of it you are talking about is accessible to anyone who has a pass to get in there. The temp passes were drops during certain events, and a permanent pass was available in the gem store several times, and possibly again in the future.
You are thinking about a Royal Terrace, aren’t you?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Royal_Terrace
Which is the closed off crafting area the OP was speaking of that is located in the Crown Pavilion, yes.

I don’t know about that, but it would be amazing if they made all dungeon story instances like they did Arah. Being able to solo the story instances would be super awesome, seeing as I am kinda anti social when it comes to grouping with random people, and there are never enough of my friends online at the same time to actually do a dungeon together.
In fact, bring back henchmen so I can solo the exploration paths as well. I will love you long time.
If you want to send in a support ticket, go to the top of the screen here, on the forums, and under “Services”, click “Support”.
Good luck. Hope everything turns out alright.
Don’t know about royal terrace passes, but I have 10 sets of the infinite tools myself, and I know others have bought multiple sets of them. So, I can assume there are people out there who are more than likely to have bought multiples of the passes as well, for their convenience.
Rage, if it makes you feel better, the game respawns all their “art and culture” for the next person, so it will live on forever as long as people are rolling new characters!
1. Now.
2. I got 2. One for Ultimate, one for being a “veteran” and pre-purchasing.
Yes, they still work. In game, open up the gem store, and right at the top left, there is a spot that says “Redeem Code”.
There is no version of HoT available for less than $50. There is no upgrade version that does not come bundled with the Core game.
If you already own the Core game, you do not get an extra one when you pre-purchase HoT. If you do not own the Core game, you get it for free with HoT pre-purchase.
You think a character slot is adequate for me and people like me?
You pre-purchased HoT, so you must believe it is.
You keep nothing. All rewards/loot during beta stay in beta.
According to the lore, all dwarves eventually underwent the rite of the Great Dwarf, so unless they were to write up some new lore to account for some who did not, I don’t see flesh and blood dwarves as a playable race, sadly.
It just means you cannot upgrade to Ultimate. You have to buy it for the full price of $100 if you want it, which would mean you have bought HoT twice if you already bought HoT.
I know amazon.com has copies of the core game still for sale. They are around $22.
Actually, those reduction of falling damage traits are extremely helpful on all classes.
Problem is, how would ANet staff know someone was guilty of what they were accused of, unless they saw them doing it? It would add a lot of work to the staff to have to run around, find the player who has been reported, and then spend x amount of time watching them to see if they are actually guilty.
While I agree people can be annoying sometimes, to police such actions in game would require some way of monitoring their actions besides following them around, as that is just going to add time they don’t have to ANet’s workload.
Yes, Sylvari are very pretty.
Get the princess item form the new lion’s arch achievement, it’s a Dragonite Ore eater.
Why? If the Dragonite Ore Eater just destroys the dragonite, why not just throw it away and forget about the Eater?
Because it gives you reward bags?
Chilipadiboy, I agree with you. The average gamer does not really enjoy dying over and over with nothing to show for his/her time. They like rewards. They like winning. The recent hp changes are not bringing things like that. They are making things much more frustrating, and time consuming. That’s not fun or rewarding when you have to put in more time and effort for the same reward you got before, and now are more likely to not even be rewarded.
Roughly, I have spent about $3300 since launch, including buying the game for 8-10 of my friends. Most has been on gems, obviously.
If Teq was able to be soloed, I would agree with you that a challenge is healthy and fun sometimes, but an event that happens every few hours, and incorporates massive amounts of people at varying levels of skill and a wide variety of play styles is not the type of thing I believe should be made so difficult that it becomes a thing you start avoiding due to the amount of effort not being equal to the reward.
It’s why a lot of people do not do Triple Trouble anymore. Too much work for too little reward.
