One of the main reasons that LS Season 1 was able to have content out so frequently was that they had a large portion of their team devoted to the content. With them switching to the expansion format now, a large portion of the team is now devoted to that, leaving smaller teams to things like PvP, WvW, and PvE and Living Story content, etc.

Unless they had a major influx of capital on a regular basis, it would be hard for them to be able to get the man power together to release Living World content at the pace they were in Season 1 with the staff size they currently have.

They have seemed to shy away from underwater content for several years now. I am going to be very surprised if we ever get actual underwater content in the future.

I would like it, just not expecting it at all.

Really though, when I see someone working hard for a goal, I sometimes feel inclined to help. If they are willing to actually put in the work, they should be rewarded for that work.

And if people really want to spam me for gold, they can. They will just get blocked though. Begging gets you nowhere in life.

Also, Reimia, dyes are unlocked for your whole account, so no worries who to use it on. Every character will have access to it via the hero panel.

I can confirm keys do drop from the black lion goods chests. I have only gotten one or two since they started the daily login rewards, but they do drop.

You get the lvl 80 boost via the shared inventory slots.

As for the bonus items, it just depends on which version you bought. If you just got the deluxe, the mail should be to you fairly quickly. You might have to log out and back in. Also might want to make sure you do not have an excess of old mails blocking the new mail from being sent.

If you bought the ultimate, it will take a few days to get your gems.

I have been in love with Tyria since the original game.

Nightfall, in particular, was probably my favorite expansion for GW1. Being able to go back to Elona is something I have wanted for almost 5 years now, since GW2 released. It was beautiful on the old engine, and I am sure it is going to be even more beautiful on this one.

That, and this story line has me excited. I have been wanting them to touch on the gods for a long time now, so I am very excited to see where they take this.

I do remember the thing with Cantha being a no fly zone, but I don’t believe we were ever told Elona was off the table.

That being said, time can bring change, and it is possible the person/people who were stopping the devs and story writers from creating content of specific ethnic backgrounds might be gone, and they might be able to move in those directions now.

Of course, this is all speculation. I have not heard anything official to say Cantha is open to being a thing again. Then again…they never tell us much until it’s about to happen, so it is likely if Cantha is on the table again, we will not know until it’s happening.

This is actually a good strategy. A lot of MMOs use it. You give the players a taste of the content, but heavily restrict them as a free-to-play player, so they have to invest in the expansion to fully enjoy it and not be frustrated.

There is a way to have the gathering tools on all your characters. You have to buy them for all your characters.

Or you purchase the shared inventory slots, and keep them in there for easy access on all your characters.

They make more money this way.

I think OP wants the SAB dailies to be shown automatically.
When you enter PvP you are automatically shown the PvP dailies.
When you enter WvW you are automatically shown the WvW dailies.

Ohh. I always pre-select my dailies I want to do at reset, so I never have had an issue with things of this nature.

I see no harm in it, but if they did it, I am sure it would probably only be done for future SAB festivals.

I had no issue seeing my SAB dailies in SAB.

Simply select which ones you want to track from the daily achievement panel, like normal dailies, and they display right where they should.

They used to give us a little better heads up…and then sometimes, when they failed to get the changes released when they said they would, people QQed. And complained. And in some cases, screamed like little children. Bad publicity and all that.

So, they stopped telling us anything.

Now, we learn about changes when they are released, so they no longer have to worry about meeting peoples expectations on time.

I think what we have is probably the best communication we are going to get. Some companies give a big heads up. Some stay tight lipped. Both have advantages and disadvantages. We just have to learn to live with what we get.

A simple fix (I know, probably not that simple in terms of coding) they could implement would be to stop allowing people to join an instance if it is, say, 80% – 90% or more complete in songs played. This would stop people joining in on free play time, and help them get into fresher instances where they can actually have a chance of enjoying the activity instead of fighting the sometimes endless cycle of free play/unable to join.

They have had those same problems with it for years. It seems like it’s not a priority to fix it. You just kinda get used to it after the first year. At least I did. Doesn’t even phase me anymore.

The simple solution is to go to character select and then log back in.

That was actually one of the last things I had tried, and it sadly did not work for me. In the end, I just logged off and went and played some Starcraft 2, and when I came back for Teq, the patch had refreshed them, and I was able to finish it.

I am having the exact same issue. I have spent an hour running around, dying in lava, looking in every nook and cranny, and there are no more machine parts to find. Stuck at 4/5

It was a limited time gem store item. It will return eventually.

Their answer to this is that it takes too much time to make armors. Outfits are only a fraction of the time, so they focus on those, and armors will only be released with expansions from what I have gathered.

Hey Gaile, by chance do you happen to know if there will be anything in game to celebrate, like any sales on gem store items, or maybe an event or two?

I’d honestly love to have some old content thrown at us, like Bazaar of the Four Winds, or Dragon Festival to celebrate the occasion.

Only solution currently is to be in a party, or join a squad so you can hopefully get back into the same instance.

World bosses used to be almost completely random when they happened, but were changed to this new system so more people could make it to them on a regular basis. Honestly, I think this system works better for the majority of people.

I know that sucks for the few like you that cannot make them on a regular basis, but for the majority of players, this seems to work best, so it is unlikely it would be changed.

It is a possibility that the issue could be on your end as well, or your ISP’s end. Disconnects are not always the fault of a game.

Have you tried power cycling your router/modem?
Have you tried power cycling your computer?
Are you up to date on your drivers?
Have you ran any virus/malware scans recently?
Have you tried a traceroute to see if there is any packet loss between you and the game?
Have you tried a fresh install of the game to see if that fixes it? Sometimes files become corrupt.

Simple steps like these can help you gain a better understanding of what the issue is, or possibly solve it in some cases.

If the issue is recent, perhaps it’s due to something being done on your ISP’s end, and will resolve itself in a day or two, or it could be due to new software you have installed that is causing conflicts with Guild Wars.

If these steps were already taken, ignore them, and perhaps give more information up front so I don’t have to waste your time typing things you already have done. :P

Initially, I had a male and female of every race, spanning all classes. Once I maxed all of those out, I just started buying more character slots, and lost count of what I have now.

I am laughing now, because I just finished both of them about 3 hours ago.

I think you are thinking of the Silverwastes, because the Labyrinthine Cliffs have not been available for a good while now, and they were not available when the expansion released. SIlverwastes are still there. It’s a permanent area.

World completion can be done easily in 72 hours of game time…and that’s slow. I’ve done it in less than 26 before. My average is around 34 hours for a character. I just watch netflix while zoning.

It’s honestly not that bad. Granted, I am one of those people that enjoys repetition. Maybe that’s why I have done 18…or is it 19 100%s so far…I can’t remember. I got to the point I was creating them, 100%ing them, deleting them, and starting over.

Currently, no, you cannot change your race. Personal story is tied to race at creation, and they don’t intend on ever giving us the option to change, as far as I know.
