Received this error multiple times this morning, not peak time.

Good Morning,

Twice during a fractal run I threw down my battle standard and my fellow party members did not revive. There were no NPC around that would have taken the res instead of my party members.

I did notice that one of the times that I threw down the Battle Standard their health pool jumped up about 50% close to 100% but they were still in the red.

Now that the pick has been out a little while more data is out on the mining pick. What the pick does is replace the extra ore you may have received from a swing with a sprocket.
So you may get:
-1x ore
-1x ore + 1x crafting material (gemstone)
-1x ore + 1x Sprocket

You can no longer get the 2x ore.
*mind you this is a small sample size

ANet seems desperate, why such a move? This is obviously a door opener for more items to come. What is next? A vip subscribtion?

I’m calling the next item will be a sickle that has a 20% chance at pristine spores. Think if that item came out instead of the mining pick, people would immediately be up in arms. Don’t downplay it because sprockets aren’t worth much. Sure you can still get spores in game now, but check the price, 3s a piece. If every 5 herbs brought you an extra 3s, would you be cheesed then?

Next is a sickle that gathers pristine spores, just you wait.

I think if they introduce craftable precursors they should be account bound, and the legendaries that come from it accountbound as well. This way the market doesn’t crash and people can still obtain them.

I am wondering if it is intended though, seeing as there is no information at all about it in-game as far as I have seen (I haven’t bought it, so might be visible on the item itself, but the store says nothing about it), which makes me think that it might actually be a bug.

I can’t see how it is a bug, that seems like it is a programmed option. Now, if the sprockets that drop are in place of gems, then I’m ok with that swap.

If people are asking what to do, then I have no problem explaining what to do. Even if people haven’t had time to try the event, you need to do a little homework and see what is going on with these events. By now there are plenty of videos and guides on how to do it. Log in, get your spot on your server and look for these. It is like showing up for finals but missing 1/2 the classes and then asking the Professor, what do I do?

The best you are going to get out of map chat text wall of explanation from multiple sources. If you can comprehend what is being said OR read the description of the champions from under their name, then good for you. If that doesn’t suffice for you, read the guides that are out there.

My bomb method (if stealth is not available). Pseudo suicide run. I equip any blues/greens I have gathered along the way, I lead run up to the door aggroing everything, and run around while the team plants and runs. If there is a mesmer, they can make a portal for the team. 1/2 the time I can make it back alive as well. While it doesn’t yield 4-5 bombs each time, I average 2-3 bombs each round.

Dredge isn’t a bad fractal, it is just long. To fix this, they should keep everything the same up until the champ dredge. After you kill him, you are done, remove the dang clowncar. Fancy up the last boss and make him a 4th fractal boss. That would eliminate a lot of the unnecessary length but still keeping it challenging. They did the same thing for the molten facility, they can do it for dredge.

• Player A plays perfect. He dodges the Marionette every single time, but gets his achievement denied by another platform screwing up.

• Player B is bad. He doesn’t know how to dodge and thus gets killed by the champion. However he lucks out and dies without the Marionette hitting him and the other players finish the encounter. Thus he gets the achievement.

• Who earned the achievement?

QoL that needs to happen?
1. Being able to stack salvage kits if they equal 25, or heck, stacking multiple up to 250.
2. Being able to drop items into my guild bank and have them stack, not having to pull them out to organize would help.

This happens when you deal damage by traits or skills while harvesting. e.g. Elementalist Arcane Shield, if you get hit 3 times it explodes dealing damage. Any subsequent harvest after the explosion dealing damage will be ruined.

Guys, please keep in mind that he said “the warden event” (“the entire event up on the platforms”) and there was no mention of other players in order to get credit for the achievement. It would indeed be way too difficult if you have to complete the whole marionette event AND other players had to dodge as well in order to get the achievement.

Blacky, he did say you have to finish the warden event, to complete it all 5 platforms need to kill their champ and console. If 4/5 platforms kill their champ but the 5th does not, no dice.

Once the new buy orders are established they retract their botted prices and recoup their costs, thus raising the floor for said items. I hope Anet looks into these botting accounts.

Putting in buy orders for 1c doesnt establish a new highest buy order.

I think people should be smart enough to know those buy order are meanless. Because of all the “1c” bid. But apparently many people dont’ realize it.

They are meaningless but the millions, and I do mean millions of buy orders puts them on the top demanded item list. Also, these skins need to have vendor price to them, this would deter the manipulators from posting millions of buy orders.

I think that the new craftable precursors should be account bound and the subsequent legendary (whether it be a new one or an old one, be account bound as well). That would prevent market shock of precursors while still giving people a chance to make their legendary.

Lag is getting worse, day by day.

Skills taking several seconds to activate.
All players/mobs freezing on screen for several seconds.

For me, this all started the day of the DDoS attacks and has been getting worse ever since. Supports only response is “it’s a known issue and we are working on it, sorry”.

I have this same scenario. Since the attacks, the game is severely rubberbandy and just a pain to play sometimes. I did see a Dev, Bill I think, post that they are working on some server side maintenance but didn’t have any ETA.

AAAANNNNNDDDD still nothing. Time for a necro to let this utterly infuriating issue come to light again. I have a high end AMD CPU and just recently got a 780. The game still runs like a flipbook a disturbingly large percent of the time.

You need to run Intel to get good performance in this game.

This issue has been beaten to death. And Anything above a GTX650/HD7790 is going to waste, due to that CPU bound issue.

After you buy into Intel, tweak your systems hardware settings to be 100% efficient. You will get 38-40FPS in LA on a busy night, 110-135FPS in the open world with a few players in sight, 45-55FPS in combat with 6+ other players, and 15-25FPS in 80+ player zergs (WvW, World Boss Train..ect).

And thats with all settings on Ultra, with Char Limit to Low and Char Quality to Medium.

The issue sits at Anet’s Feet. And unless they redesign the game engine from the ground up, this is how the game is going to be for the rest of its life.

Ever since the DDOS at the end of Dec. I’ve been experiencing rubberbanding and other lag that wasn’t present before.

Level your 20’s to 22-27, and park them at a JP for silver doubloons.

Haha, this reminds of FFXI when groups were leveling in a zone and then someone would be yelling “GOBLIN TRAIN ZONING TO XYZ EXIT”. Everyone would run out of the way of the mob train. Leashing is good to a point.

For me, I feel GW is at the cusp of greatness or failure. Depending on how the LS ends. Yes, to me it is that dramatic. IF, the LS falls flat and the changes that come out in the next 2 months are poor, I will probably move on.

1. While I haven’t been playing since launch, I have received my first bday present (which I can’t use unless I buy more characters slots). I haven’t seen a new permanent map (Southsun was completed). The world map is huge and we explore less than half of it.
2. The game has become more and more grindy. I don’t want items falling from the sky, but I do enjoy killing things for my materials, not rush dungeons and buy what I want.
3. WvW Season 1 was a flop. It did its job and got people into WvW, but overall it turned into zergfests and the rewards were appauling.
4. No skin locker. If they were to move all the meta reward skins to a locker similar to the achievement zenith skins that would be a great step. I don’t need all of my skins to be in a locker, but the ones I’ve obtained through LS, I would love to use more than once. Heck, they gave us a light/medium/heavy dragon helm skin, not just 1.
5. PVE is too easy
6. The Fractured patch fiasco.

TLDR: If the LS is a success, then I will stay. If not, I will liquidate my inventory and log out.

Go buy everything else you need for the legendary of your choice at your own pace.

Precursor crafting may make your chosen precursor cheaper or it may actually go up in price(crafting Dusk will probably be cheaper compared to TP price but then again Dusk will probably be more expensive by that time and the mats required to craft it will rise accordingly).

The simple solution would be to make precursor crafting and subsequent Legendary crafting account bound. Keep the Mystic toilet and random drops sellable along with Legendaries that are crafted by them.

I love my ranger but have been using Warrior lately. The only time I hate having a ranger in the group is if:
1 – No Spotter (not that big of a deal, but it is helpful)
2 – No frost spirit – the benefit is huge
3 – LB #4 wildly. If you are positioning a boss, then its Ok
4 – Only using Bear pets

If anet insists on removing the zerker meta, and the meta is changed to a different armor set. Then I demand a free 1 time stat change on all 8 of my characters, not only because it would remove the way I want to play, but also because all 8 of my characters are equiped in full exotic armor/weapons and it costs way too much gold/real money to get all of the armor again + transmute it with transmutation crystals

If they made these huge changes then they would have to set up the “pick a stat” option like they did for MF. Plus all the hate they would receive from ascended armor crafters.

Anet wanted active combat promoting keeping yourself alive and dodging the NPC attacks… well once you learn their attacks you need less defense and can push more damage.

Honestly, they just need to make the other builds stronger, not kitten pure damage dealers who know how to use the in game mechanic that Anet promoted.

I think that if Anet changes Ascended Armor to the stats of exotic, there will be a revolt. People were already up in arms that they implemented the armor, and if they changed it again, I think it would really stir up a hornets nest.

What I think needs to happen is to make the condition builds stronger. Maybe each person has their own personal stack of bleed/fire/poison, etc. You wouldn’t have to worry about capping at 25.

This should be in suggestions, but they won’t do this. They already made the huge change from Soulbound to Accountbound. Sorry, but it is the way it has to be.

Hello GW2,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with using a Voice to Text software for chat in GW2. We have a fellow guildie who is hearing impaired, and while we can always type things out, it would be quicker/more efficient to have the voice to text option.

I see that Dragon dictation has a gaming pack, but didn’t know if that worked out well.

I actually haven’t seen many parties looking for 36, I mostly see 38. And IIRC lv 50 was broken and wasn’t giving you a daily reward, so people do the 49.

If your personal level is 51, and you can’t progress, then you are going to pick the easiest ones. I have a group that I run with that will eventually do all the levels.

I don’t know of one, but you can just approach the portal and find out.

The biggest complaint with the dredge fractal is two fold:

1 – If you get bombs. While there are a few methods to do this easyish, it can still be a PITA. If the dredge are angry at you, it could take a while to do. PLUS, downtime waiting for bombs to respawn. My latest strategy is to gear up with the crappy blues/green I’ve gathered so far and be the human distractor so the dredge chase me allowing 4 bombs to be placed.

2 – The clowncar takes forever. While I haven’t timed it exactly, it feels around 8-10 min at lv. 38. The only upside to this is that it is basically the best loot in fractals (outside of the slim chance at ascended/skins at the end).

Solution: Have the champ dredge before the clown car, be the last boss for that fractal. Completely remove the clown car. Remake the last boss into another 4th fractal boss. This would greatly reduce the total length of the fractal, while still leaving the strategy aspect of it.

The ability to hide the green story quest star from the corner of my screen. I’ve completed it twice, I don’t want to see it for my alts.

Scarlet invasions already give a huge in-your-face notice when they begin. Everyone knows they’re happening.

I think they also need to add a quest/story marker in the corner of your screen. If I happen to be afk or looking at the TV or distracted, I won’t know the event is taking place. I go days without see a warning.

They could also change the spawn timers of said champions, thus making them less profitable while still keeping the events in the game for new comers.

Go to Ebonhawk, nuff said.

The fix? Keep interrupting the train and turn off chat. While they can report you, nothing is going to happen because you are playing the game as intended.

I’ll call Boolah on those people. You can’t report someone for completing an event properly. Well I should say, they CAN report you, but you have nothing to fear. You are not harassing players by completing. Now if you go off saying something like “I broke your stupid insert as many 4 letter words as you can think of champ train” then sure. But just coming across a champ and killing it, you should be good.
