Wintersday- for the daily you just need to hit 1 note and not get kicked off the platform. Since you are talking about the daily and not the meta, it is that simple.
PVE- I presume you want more generalized quest completion daily. That is the only daily that is specific to a map while every other daily is for a region. If you truely are spending hours doing your dailies, for Gods sake, hop into PVP and cap a node or something. You can basically sneeze in PVP or WVW and get another daily complete.

To make your life easy, open up daily achievement pane, look for the vista viewer, map boss and harvester. Do those and rejoice. Or if you are still not complete because you just missed the boss, do the easy pvp ones, in one hot join you can typically get 2/3 of the daily unless you happen to have the class specific win for that day and you can go 3/3 in 10 min.

If I had to pick a side on whether or not cliffhangers work, I would pick that they do. The problem I have with them, is when you have multiple cliff hangers WITHOUT answers. There are many questions lingering from Season 1, more questions from Season 2, and while I think Season 2 will officially end with the next episode (no official word on it) there will still be more questions than answers.

I don’t mind having cliff hangers because if you think about it like TV series, the cliff hangers are what keeps your coming back. Even in TV series in which episodes are more individualized there is still a common thread. Think about it this way, you could pick up on any episode of Family Guy and not need to see the other episodes to know what is going on, sure you might miss some common/inside jokes. But if you catch an episode of Breaking Bad/GoT you won’t know the history up to that point. So the cliffhanger is there to connect the story between the episodes.

What did I just read?

Take a break when Anet takes a break. Log in daily for the quick reward and log off. Find another game for a few weeks / month.

You can do it…some of the times. I’m not sure when/how it restricts you from doing it, but you can right click on the chat window to invite/join

Random suggestion: Option to turn off hobosack in PVE and have standard model in PVP like you can turn everyone into humans.

For future reference, turn on Windows Mousekeys, then press the + on the keypad. ALT+Shift+ Num Lock. Save your mouse.

I just found this the other day. I you are opening a lot of bags or using luck you can use a Windows setting. Called Mouse Keys, you can find it searching in your control panel. This is to help people who have issues using a mouse. If you turn this option on, the default left click is the + on the number pad. Move your mouse cursor over the item you want to use and spam the +.

As everyone has already pointed out to you. You have 6 options, QQ more. What about PVP only players?

The only boxes outside of lost bandit cheats that are affected by magic findare the PVP boxes.

Was just on a SW map, .161. NA Jade Quarry, 7:45 Est pm very laggy many players reporting similar issues.

For the rewards, I found it really underwhelming (gold wise) the first time around. Then I organized a map with killing all 5 breach bosses. Turns out you get a big key (for the big chest in the middle) if you kill all 5 breach bosses, so that’s a nice bonus.

That’s what I did as well. I helped command one of the fortresses the day after this episode went live, and we killed all 5 bosses on our first try, and got a key. I went into the labyrinth, died about twenty times trying to get to the center, and then got some green items from the chest for all my trouble.

So let me get this straight.

• The whole map organizes itself, and defends the fortresses.
• They then defeat these 5 bosses within the time limit, and are awarded with a key.
• And that key opens up a chest, that is annoying to get to, and gives a few greens, with a very minor chance to drop a box with armor.

All I need to do is use one shovel, to dig up a better reward. Is there really any reason to do the labyrinth? I don’t like the game play, so is there any real gain?

Trolling? The center chest give you 3 champ bags and a rare with a chance at the gloves skin. The little chests give you greens.

Sorry Phil, welcome to the club. While I haven’t looked at the new drop rates that some of the guilds keep track of, this has been a huge sore spot for many of us. I once ran 78 fractals without seeing anything more than a ring.

First rule of Fractals:You don’t talk about Fractals.

P.s. Be thankful you weren’t here when they reset all our levels to 30 and told us about fractal leaderboards and fractal weapon skin chests. Oh wait, fractal skin chests are in the game, just starting at lv 51+

Just make sure you sign in every two weeks to unlock the story. That way you won’t have to pay in the future if you decide to come back.

Here are a few tidbits from the team:

• A lot of newer players had trouble with the interface. That doesn’t apply to you, you’re veterans who have been around the conversion block a time or two. But newer players will benefit from the updated system.
• The goal was to make the Gem Store more like other shopping experiences, and if you think about it, there is more of that feel to it now.
• You may be surprised to know this (I know I was) but very few people bought gems at smaller denominations than the first one offered in the new system. That’s not to say they never did, nor that there wouldn’t be the desire to do so. But overall, the current options were selected based on player purchases in the past.
• The team is going to listen to your feedback and, if and when it’s practical and desirable, they can look towards adjusting the new system to better meet your needs.

So please keep your thoughts coming on the new system. Feel free to make suggestions but please, keeping them constructive would be very much appreciated.

Gaile, with all due respect, this is completly ridiculous. While I understand that math can be hard, having hard set denominations to choose from is a complete cash grab. You may hide it behind new players can’t math, but many of us are grown up who can figure it out. I do believe having denominations can be nice and easy to use, but for the love of God, give us an additional “other” where we can choose our own conversion. I know many players with left over gems between 1-49, 51-99 that are hosed in this new system.

I truely believe that the people who made this decision did it for the money, and left you guys to clean up their dirty work. But acts like this will not help thhe bottom line in the long run, it will only hurt it. When the end game is selling virtual hats for $9, that will have clipping issues on most characters but I digress, you are doing a complete disservice to your customers.

Pardon me if this has been said already, I don’t feel like reading through 4 pages.

I would absolutely love some challenging content, raiding style instances in the game. The one major problem I see with it would be the rewards. Anet would have to scale the instance for Exotic gear, so having Ascended would be the reward.

They could never introduce Legendary armor, the uproar and pitchforks for “Gear Grind” would be even more than when they introduced Ascended gear. If by chance, they did create legendary armor and put it in the raid instance(s), then you would have the “casuals” complaining that they can never get the best armor out there.

I’m not 100% sure if it’s just me, or a few people, but I’ve been determined to get 100% map completion, and it’s proving darn near impossible with PvE maps being included. I’m on the Isle of Janthir server, and every time I, or a group of friends and I try to roam the map to get these points, we always run into mobs and die.

I find it unfair to make people who don’t like playing PvE to have to play it for map completion.

Is there any way in the possible future (you think?) that we can keep those maps separate when it comes to completion?

What is your opinion on the 100% map completion containing PvE? Do you like the extra challenge, or is it just incredibly annoying as it is for me?

But seriously, that is the whole point to get map completion, heck it is really the only “legendary” thing about making a legendary. Being able to say that you covered all of Tyria on your way to making a legendary is a good thing.

It would be nice if the exchange rate of buying gems would fluctuate like the exchange with gold. I think that would encourage more people to buy gems with real money.

But to counter lower drop rates at higher levels, you are compensated with more gold…am I right? /end sarcasm

The chance at a precursor remained the same. They did increase the pool of potential exotics that you may receive. Let me repeat, the rate of precursors is the same.
