actually hoelbark is better, everything is in one place and barely anything to stop you from walking directly from one place to the other, it’s a horrible place to go from TP to bank tho…..divinity’s reach is the best one at that.

Ebonhawk is the best. Everything is in a line, no WP to get to the TP. The only downfall is that it is in the corner of the map so your first WP is usually pricey.

Crafting, TP, doesn’t matter. It is all closer in Ebonhawk. If you are crafting, more than likely you will need to go to the TP for something that you are just short on, so they are closely related. In Hoelbrak you need to WP or take the stairs to get to the TP, Ebonhawk is all in the same place.

JQ (NA) gets 1200 1 cycle after reset. Usually the first cycle at reset is full of heirloom/daily farmers so we don’t reach 1200. I’ve actually had better luck on OF than main servers.

I have enough to make the colorful backpack and 1-2 exotic back pieces for other characters if needed.

It wouldn’t be lower because it is going in reverse, it should be pulling out.

I’m a player with over 2k hours and I’m taking my time. Why being a new player do you think you need to NOW! Just make sure you buy the recipes and make the backpiece as you can. Saying that you need to be hardcore to make anything in the game is a joke. New players should not have stuff handed to them to be on equal footing as veterans.

While there isn’t an exact 1:1 ratio as far as gold:days to sell, generally items that are over 8g take a day, anything over 100 could take a few days.

What I suggest is watching different trading post website and watch the supply and demand for the items. I tend to find that higher priced items sell faster on the weekends.

If they fail the escort from Meddler’s then it won’t open Arah.

I absolutely loved this game, loved being the key word. I still log in daily to get my daily out of the way and chat with my guildies but I’m bored. I think the previous 2 LS patches were great but this last one was boring. I’m also very disappointed that there are so many bugs with the main attraction to this patch, e.g. if zoning into the main server the Miasma level bar is full. Does this affect the game in anyway? No. But it just leaves that unpolished taste in my mouth.

The amount of QoL changes, which really aren’t QoL changes but how things should just be is enormous. They keep promising that the big patch will solve a lot of things, but that is my last straw. That patch. period. If they don’t address the list of things that are buggy/not user friendly, I will be done.

Like I said, I did love this game, but there are others on the horizon that will probably get my attention.

Stock up on cherries also, there are a few different types of wine. Cherries could be used for the red version of the back piece.

When I make parties I don’t care about their AP, I will ask if people are experienced with said run if I see a lower AP. If they don’t respond and then later in the dungeon they obviously have no idea what is going on. I let them know that I am kicking them because they didn’t say they were new, or had no idea what was going on.

You are right that 150 gems might be too low but I just wanted a nice number where the “discount” for the full set isn’t too far off. 200 gems would probably be closer to what I would expect. 1200 for a full set if you pieced it together or 800 outright.

Hopefully that will be one of the fingers crossed MANY QoL changes coming in the big release patch in March.

Fractal Armor

Goal of Proposal
To provide another avenue for people to obtain ascended armor which would allow them to continue up the fractal ladder cough leaderboard cough

Proposal Functionality
This would would similar to the new backpiece that was introduced with the LS. The armor should be amazing looking and have similar effects as the weapons have.
For all armor slots, you will be able to choose the stat combination, but you will not be able to upgrade it if you transmute over it.

Tier 1 Fine = Buy for 100 relics
Tier 2 Masterwork = Tier 1 + 150 relics + 1 pristine relic + 3 Vials of Essence
Tier 3 Rare = Tier 2 + 200 relics + 5 pristine relics + 3 Globs of Essence
Tier 4 Exotic = Tier 3 + 250 relics + 10 pristine relics + 1 Shard of Essence
Tier 5 Ascended = Tier 4 + 3-4 T7 crafting material depending on what armor slot + 15 pristine relics + Gift of Fractals

Gift of Fractals = 250 relics + 3 Shards of Essence + 10 Crystalline Dust + 3 Globs of Dark Matter

Total Per Piece to Ascend:
950 Relics + 31 pristine relics + 3 Vials + 3 Globs + 4 Shards + T7 Crafting + 10 Dust + 3 Dark Matter

Total Set:
5700 Relics + 186 pristine relics + 18 vials + 18 Globs + 24 Shards + T7 Crafting + 60 Dust + 18 Dark matter

Associated Risks
Players could rush through most of the armor since the mass quantity of relics that have laying around. Players complain that said players were “given” free armor

Proposal Overview
Revamp the Dredge Fractal, splitting it into two separate fractals

Goal of Proposal
To address the most hated, longest fractal.

Proposal Functionality
Part 1: Leave the first part of the fractal the same. Possibly lower the number of dredge that spawn. The fractal would end at rabsovich, he would need some new abilities. Example: Instead of the dredge carrier, Rabsovich would spawn a certain number of dredge every 1/4 life. Remove the dredge carrier completely.
Part 2: Revamp the end boss to something more unique and make it a 4th tier fractal.

Associated Risks
People would still complain about the dredge’s mechanics. Without completely redesigning the monsters, I would swap out more melee dredge than the majority of ranged attacking ones. The biggest risk is that you would design it to be longer than it currently is

Top 3 Low Hanging Fruit
1 – Revamp the LFG sections to reflect the daily level break down (1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50)
2 – Make weapon chests purchasable from P. Relics
3 – Up the gold reward at the end = 10s per level after lv 10.

Top 3 Tougher Implementations
1 – Remove if the party owner leaves then all leave
2 – More health on monsters doesn’t mean they are harder, just more annoying. Need to develop more abilities at higher levels
3 – Fractal Armor for relics, similar to dungeon tokens. Also, similar to the new LS backpiece, being able to upgrade the armor. Replace blades with fractal relics to upgrade your armor.

Veteran Dredge in the cage in Fractal 49 has more HP than many of the bosses in the game. More HP = More difficult…. right?

Quick dungeon runs. 70% exp for completion, gold and champ bags.

500 cooking is coming, stock up on butter and meats now.

You should probably either rotate events more or take a cycle or two and rescue citizens.

How lazy are you really? If you have gold it takes maximum 30 minutes for you to get your crafting discipline to 500.

There’s the kicker. As of right now, here is what it would cost to level the professions involved in this to 500 (according to GW2Crafts.net). This is assuming you had the gold to buy all the mats at once. Not following this guide and not doing all your crafting at once will cost you more than these estimates.

Armorcrafting: 116g 81s 77c

Leatherworking: 110g 40s 46c

Tailoring: 107g 26s kitten

Huh, I thought leathercrafting was supposed to be the cheapest.

It was cheaper to use leathercrafting until everyone rush to level that and all the leather prices went up.

I have an overall positive impression of the event, except that the main feature of the patch is bugged on main servers. I know that the miasma level is based on time, but why on main servers is the miasma bar full upon entering?

Also, there should have been a personal achievement for rescuing citizens, this would have slowed the zergness from the event.

that much more of the players that dont help at the events are NOT the afk people but the people collecting heirlooms!

but you cant blame them to do so…they have to collect all 40 each day if they want both tonics (500 heirlooms)…

it is ANETs fault for making it like this…

I always post in /map that if you are collecting heirlooms to please encourage citizens as you run by. Do they listen? Eh, probably not, but even if I get 10-20 citizens moving that will help.

Last night I thought of an idea that I think is a great idea for player satisfation and possibly a nice money maker for Anet.

Idea: Leave whole armor sets in the BLTC as is for 800 gems but add a piecemeal option for individual parts of the armor for 150 gems each.

Example: The new Zodiac Armor. I have seen quite a few people wearing this armor, but lots of people hide the helm. You could buy 5 pieces at 750 gems (saving 50) instead of either not using the helm skin or always hiding it. Personally, I like the legs and feet of the armor but not a fan of the rest. If Anet offered the 2 pieces of armor for 300 gems I would buy them in a heart beat.

I took a flash /map survey last night before the LA event and most people who responded said they would definitely buy more armor from the BLTC if they had pieces available. I think this would allow more customization from the players, increase BLTC purchases and make the player base much happier with the cash shop.

Opposition – One person brought up a good point that people would be more willing to trade gold for 150 gems rather than buying $10 of gems for a whole set of armor.

While I feel like this is a valid argument, this would drive the conversion ratio to a point where buying gems would be more efficient. Plus, if I know I’m going to buy 300 gems for a few pieces of armor, I’m more likely to spend the remainder on keys or some seasonal perk.

All of the potions were fixed with the update on Tuesday, but the release note got missed. It was while I was confirming that the fix went out that I spotted the issue with the Scarlet’s Armies potion, so that got fixed in the later update.

Hi Jeffrey, thanks for the update on these. I’m sure there are a lot of changes that go into patches that aren’t listed, but please, the more the merrier. I would love for you to be more transparent with the changes that go in, ESPECIALLY with these bug/QoL fixes.

Considering you are talking about a 90% damage nerf, I think if something was really off then more people would be saying something. was it glancing? you can’t check his gear so that is hard to judge, did you not have any might, did you have weakness, no vulnerability. Sorry mate, don’t have more answers for you, were your traits reset?

What level are you? If you are a lower level, only certain sets of armor are around your range and have a static set of stats. Only at higher levels will the armor have different set of stats.

After this patch there are still a lot of questions out there for the LS to answer. I hope they do answer the VAST majority of them. I will make the assumption that they will have some open ends that will tie into LS season 2, but I hope we aren’t left with more questions than answers.

I wouldn’t complain about iron. You can easily snag about 100 ore in a short amount of time if you just walk around a map.

Right now? Sell all the iron you come across. The most recent patch has created a big demand on it, and the price has tripled. I would also take some time (or a for a few extra gold) and buy the gift of blades from the MF vendor. Just in case you wish to create the new backpiece in the future, you will have the recipe.

If you are leveling by exploring the zones, make sure you farm all the trees you see, that will help with your huntsman leveling.

I’m taking my time to craft it. I used goods on hand to create the exotic one and just doing my daily craft to eventually make it. I have plenty of leather to create it, so in a few weeks I will get it. Not reason to buy the ascended good. Heck I sold all of my ascended ingots and iron (that I didn’t need) while this craze is going on. Iron is so easy to farm, I would rather sell now while it is high and refarm as needed.

Well how was I suppose to know we can do this in a 5 man team? I just follow the commander tag outside the portal and enter LA.

I also looked at the LFG tool in game and didn’t see any parties for the LS….

But anyways….If it can be done it smaller groups and it scales properly then that is great….Most of the previous LS stuff never scaled properly so I guess people don’t want to party up….

I found him still in his cell and the guard standing there. I am wondering if this was intentional since I’ve seen different NPCs out of place.

It is a shame that most of the pictures and people I’ve seen wearing this armor have turned off the helm. I think the mask-style is a detriment to the armor. I think either being able to buy pieces of the armor or removing the mask on the helm would be the right answer.

RNG is RNG. You could be like this guy, look up on Youtube GW2 “Born to be rich”. But the general consensus is just under 1% chance.
