When gather tools became account bound, a poster received a dev response telling him there would be a refund.

I don’t see why this is different. However you are correct, we as players, can’t directly help him, but you could support him.

Ummm…pretty sure the guy got his refund from customer support, not from a dev on the forum. Thats just common sense.

And that user spent somewhere close to 19000 gems on the items, and the same item change from Soul > Account bound. You bought 2 different items.

I bought the Heavy Aetherblade armor months ago, but now it is on sale? Do I get a price adjustement… nope.

I would finish leveling to 80. Sell all the light armor you get along the way. Salvage the rest. At 80, either jump on a champ train or event mega bosses. I wouldn’t worry too much about lucky at lv 48.

JQ does it daily at 8est.

I hope your holidays have treated you well. I would like to take this time to write down my frustration with the new “rewards” that you have selected for fractals.

I just completed a lv 30 (I know it wasn’t a 49 or 50) but it still took some time to complete. 2 of the 4 chests, included the last chest had 2 greens and a blue. That is it (outside of the +1 AR and relics). I’m not asking for 100 rares, or exotics, but something more than 5s in vendor items.

The amount of gold you get from completing a fractal is laughable as well. The time it takes to complete is in the same ballpark as an Arah path, so the gold should represent the time.

I have a lv 23 parked at a JP for the daily chance at a Silver Doubloon, but since the Fractured patch, I haven’t received any. I know RNG, but I was averaging 2-3 a week prior to the patch, and now I have not received a single one.

Has anyone else seen a change in the drop?

Some of the ideas I have:
1 – I love that you are looking into the home instance a little more by adding nodes. I would love to see crafting tables within the home instance as well.
2 – I would love to see Meta award skins be listed in the achievement pane for you to use more than once (I won’t be greedy and ask for all skins)
3 – Removing the soul bound runes that drop in dungeons, at least make them Account bound
4 – More movement towards account bound rather than soulbound
5 – Account wide story mode completion

Like others have said. 6 pieces at 500 gems or a whole set for 800. I’m just envisioning a pac man eating the dots. nom nom nom.

1. Dynamic Events – Relatively fun, but very repetitive
2. No Monthly Fees
3. Stylized graphics, the game is beautiful (environment) not the armors

5. Ree – “We don’t want to create the same MMO”, for the most part I think they have done a nice job. But…. go to #6 below

Missed the mark:
1. Fully branching personalized story quest line – Branching to a certain extent. I almost think of this as a reverse tree. Start at the leaves but they all stem back to the main story.
2. Fighting system gets stale.
3. From Colin “…the rest of the game is a boring grind to get to the fun stuff. I swung a sword, I swung a sword again, hey hey I swung a sword again. We just don’t want players to grind in GW2” – This quote always makes me laugh. They have added more and more grinding to the game, reducing drop rates, time gating, etc.
4. Making the player feel like a hero. Ree – “The boss doesn’t care that I’m there, it respawns 10 minutes later” I’m not sure if it was how they cut the video, so I don’t want to take it completely out of context, but this doesn’t seem very hero like.
5. “Quest up and kill 10 centaurs. We don’t think that is Ok” – Colin. While the quest isn’t kill x of y, there are progression bars that increase based on killing said monsters, in turn, kill 10 centaurs to progress the bar. They reserved the kill x of y for their achievements.
6. Ree – “GW2 is your world, its your story, you affect things around you in a very permanent way”. The story is my personal story up to a point, then it is the same as everyone else. Personal disappointment No fishing, you are correct that you don’t want to be the same MMO as everyone else, and most MMO’s have fishing, so I guess they succeeded.
7. The absolute abysmal testing on some of the releases. I know you can’t test everything and the users will find bugs/glitches, but there have been some obvious issues that should have been address prior to release
8. Zaitan fight…. give me a break.

Well here is to fighting BG and SoR 95% of the time.

I’ve killed her twice and I did get an exotic on the first kill, but nothing special on the second. So the first could have been a fluke.

Wow that game looks great. Each developer that is interviewed in this video are so enthusiastic, I wonder if they still feel that. “We don’t think it is ok (reference killing x amount of y)” but yet that is a lot of achievements.

Instead of charged you have regular crystals. Charge them yourself. Sure it takes some to charge up, but with this change, the market will be flooded with them again, so they will be cheap.

I think the heavy armor looks the best out of the three. I feel bad for medium and light armor wearer. They look dreadful.

From what I’ve read, it is 1 to 15. Cannot verify since I’m at work.

Completing The Nightmare Ends story instance will reward players with a new Antitoxin Injector Skin (back-slot item).

Your levels are already loss, and you are at 30. Play and get your levels back.

Probably another thing they mentioned for this patch but didn’t implement (e.g. fractal weapon chests).

One part of this fractal should be removed to shorten the time down.
Either the Panel section, the section where you break the doors down, or the clown car section. Leave the final boss.

I think this is the right choice. I think they could end the fractal at the boss before the cart and make the end guy its own fractal boss. Sure they would need to make it a bit harder, but that would split the fractal to not feel so long, remove the 5 minutes of farming bags and still end with a champion.

My normal fractal group and I had this same discussion two nights ago.
1 – Dredge is the longest most annoying fractal
2 – When the Dredge fractal is done… I’m wiped…. drained… done with the game
3 – I loathe Dredge so much, that I usually log out of the game minutes after leaving the fractal. I don’t even clean out my inventory or check the TP.

I love challenging new content, and not that dredge is that “challenging” it is just long and annoying as heck. Thankfully knocks on wood I haven’t rolled bombs in a while, otherwise I would probably just cry.

I’ve gotten 2x +1’s in a drop, which in a way is a +2. But that was only once.

It seems the boss of underwater fractal HAS been adjusted, or is it just me? Done this fractal twice since patch and both times the jelly boss went down faster than I’m used to.

I’m also one of those ppl who like underwater combat (underwater fractal is awesome) and I dig the urban battlegrounds fractal as well. So TS, I don’t support your idea at all. And with the changes to the Mossman fight (vet wolfs!) more people will fail on this fractal than before so it might’ve become a tad less popular than it was.

I think they lowered the HP of the jellyfish boss but made the little guys hit harder. Heck they hit harder than the boss.

I was wondering if there was a change in the QA process that Anet has been using. Looking back at the previous patch notes:

Since the beginning of the game, you would get 0-2 replies (mini patches to fix said patch), starting early spring 2013/summer 2013 you would get 6-7 patches to fix bugs and such.

What changed?

At least this meta reward is useful. I have a bank full of back skins, so I’m glad it isn’t that, but come on. Maybe 5 of each would be a little better.

I think for Season Two they need to make a few changes:
1. Lock server transfers for a week or two prior to the start.
2. TAKE THE DARN ACHIEVEMENTS OUT OF IT (caps intended). All the PVE’ers flooding the maps with no clue what they were doign. I think that really hurt the WvW match ups with the extremely long queues in the first 4.5 weeks, then the lack of normal WvW’ers weeks 4.5 – today.

My biggest issue is the queue. Not that there is an influx of people, but that the queue isn’t FIFO. It is, get in and wait some random time. I want to know that I am number x in line.

Patch on Dec. 24th? It isn’t a national holiday, and they got PS4’s. /cracks that whip

How comes there is a refund for players with double gathering tools and a kick in the face for us?

There are plenty easy solutions (change SLIGHTLY old and new skins to differentiate them) …. to the issue….what is lacking is the will and respect of veteran players.

You can buy 10 xmute crystals for the cost of 1 gathering tool. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t be refunded, but people spent 1000’s of gems on gathering tools.

If it is staying the same, which I believe it is. Then you can join your friends on FoTM 30 even if you are on FoTM1. They will be moved up to FoTM31 upon completion, you will be moved up to FoTM2. … You didn’t play it with your friends before this update, and you likely won’t play with your friends after it. Did you come on here just to complain about Anet and GW2 for the hell of it?

This is exactly it. You didn’t do it before, so don’t do it next week. And I think Draknar is right, you can play at lv 30 with them and you will both progress. They will be 31 and you will be 2.

This isn’t going to split the community at all. There are people that do fractals and people that don’t. I have friends who don’t WvW and they weren’t calling shenanigans at the WvW season.

If you really wanted to play with your friends in fractals, then do it. Play this weekend so you at least have a clue on what it is all about. Yes… a necro can do just fine in there, you just have to know what to do.

The leader board will determine who is your group, not necessarily class.
PvE revolves around 2 things : DPS and Dodging.
Those that advance to high level fractals, regardless of being heavy, med or light, will be those with the skill to evade and earn their keep. It will be a skill thing.
If you make it to those levels you will be acknowledged.
Rangers in PvE are a poor class on a whole, you don’t need the new Fractals to show you that.
Thieves have their place and I think the new mechanics will strengthen that.
Fractals teaches you a lot about how to play, and I know that even rangers are powerful in a group build, running high end PvE.

Actually, PvE revolves around 3 things: DPS, dodging and reflects.

Actually there are 5 things: Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, Dodge

List yours just under what the 6 that were bought up at, or just around 15-20% more. That way that power buyer doesn’t really have an incentive to list his since he would be losing money after TP tax. I HIGHLY doubt anyone would buy one at 750g.

Worst suggestion I’ve seen. How about you ask for full zerk and soldier exotics and ascended weapons while you are at it. The lv 20 scroll is generous enough.

I agree with this. If they don’t stack to 250, then they should at least stack to 25.

These are there for freshly made accounts. Leave them in, if you don’t like the bags, then don’t do the train.

I used them mostly for the Heavy Crafting Bags (but I kept 50, just in case…)

Now that I no longer need all T6 materials anymore (only need to max 4 more types), I will exchange them for the Mystic Binding Agent. Corrupted Lodestones just refuse to drop for me, but I do have some Corrupted Cores. And you can turn those into Lodestones, using the Binding Agent.

Lady – I was using my Laurels for Binding Agents as well, but then did some calculations. It is more cost effective to buy unidentified dyes and sell those. I used my laurels for my charged lodestones for Infinite Light. Wish I would have done the math first

The keys are not limited to those floors. And sadly, Blue is what I have the most of, by a factor of 2.

Pink is my nemesis. I seem to get more blue keys on 3rd floor than anything.

I’m the opposite, I have 6 Pinks and no other colors. I may avoid the third floor for a while to see if I can make a few keys before heading to the top. Also, if I get a bunch of blues or greens then I will just buy the other one.

Blue – Second Floor
Pink – Third Floor

I would much rather have a LS patch every 4 weeks instead of every 2 if the content lasted longer. In 2 hours of game play yesterday, without guides, I am 8/10 for the meta. I need 3 more set of keys and kill the last guy a few more times.

I think the design of the tower is great, has some good challenges, but just not enough content.

I have also seen this happen 2-3 times since the last patch. New computer as of July.

MOAR POWER =/= MOAR HP, I do hate that Anet chose to increase HP by so much.

I heard of a guildmate changing his left click function to the mouse wheel for those times he is going bonkers opening/buying stuff. Haven’t tried this though.

I completely agree, an updated search filter would be awesome.
