Not all achievements are doable by every build of every character. It’s not a new concept. If you haven’t already come to terms with this fact you most certainly don’t have enough AP to have a legitimate reason to care about having this one. This is the most illogical thread I’ve seen in minutes.
Exactly, sure Anet says you can play as you want…. and YOU CAN. You may not be able to reach every achievement but you can still play like you want. They are achievements for a reason, you need to do certain things in a certain way to do complete it. You need to kill things fast, not get into a pillow fight.

1 – you don’t need to memorize 1000’s of recipes, just look at the bottom of recipe to notice what profession it is.
2 – There is plenty of documents and articles out there regarding ascending crafting since it has been out for 8+ months
Wifi connected, JQ server NA. Restarted router, turned off firewall, constant error 7:11:3:191:101 since LS.
I’ve had this now for 4 days on and off. Everything was running smooth before the LS patch hit.
I zoned from Dry Top to Brisban and I became really sad that we don’t have that artist making map art anymore. But whether or not I am a fan of concept art, I think DT’s is a little too abstract. Having the Kessex Hills (which looks really close to DTs) and then the art for Lion’s Arch you can tell what is going on in the picture. DT’s is just bad…

This pretty much, it will be interesting if they ever do introduce craftable precursors. Anyway… Save the icy runestones for last. Their prices will not change, so they are not influenced by the market.
5-8 hours of wvw a night is your problem. Unless you are running EotM (pseudo wvw). You are not going to yield a big bank roll.
You should be able to get them WITHOUT being FORCED to play a style you don’t want.
PvP—just crap to me, but if you like it, enjoy and have fun.You can get them without doing content you choose not to do.

Heck with that crap. Anet hasn’t got a single cent from me for many months. I use to buy gem cards, but I can’t support them with actual cash anymore (or even converting gold for that matter.) Maybe LS2 can get me back—but based on anets past record I am not optimistic at all.
After completing maps with 3 toons, I have no interest with that anymore, PvP—I don’t enjoy that still of play.Player A: I don’t like being forced to do content I don’t want to do for this item.

Having this same issue. Haven’t had it this bad in about 6 months. Restarted router, made sure everything was up to date. Internet is just fine as streaming devices and other internet usage is unaffected. I’m thinking that they may have updated something on their servers to prepare for S2 which we wouldn’t have seen a client side update. At least the weather was nice where I live so I didn’t have cabin fever.

Well, I went back to fractals only to be kicked in the Jimmies again. I haven’t seen a skin if ascended chest since LA was back to operational. Kitten, I haven’t even seen a ring in well over a week. It just isn’t worth it.

Empower is a pretty crappy might stacker because of the duration, unless you are running +boon duration the Empower will drop fast.

Naw, I don’t do mini’s. I never had in any MMO. If they were to travel with me between maps/death then possibly, but I never remember to show the mini when I have one sitting in my bag.
i run this with full dire 0/30/0/30/10 scavenger runes with leeching/geomancy sigils, ou can quickly stack over 2-3k damage a second in conditions and then get back to kiting as you do
Yup def agree with scavenger runes being a good choice got several set of them to test out on another build.
yea the scavenger with leeching is a deadly combo i dont think many people have taken notice of at worst its 4 leech buffs every 20 seconds which is like 3500 damage and heal which in a full dire build adds alot to your sustained dps, add in redic high base condition damage (2k easy) you can put out heaps of pressure have a huge tank and great mobility my only issue is the lack of aoe but you can atleast pick your fights with that much mobility
What would your build look like using this combo? I’m interested in trying a new build for pvp.

T6 blood is used to craft all Berserker Equipment…..thus the constant (and possibly increasing) demand.
No wonder it’s so dang high! I’m working toward my legendary, and the T6 blood is killing my pocket book. Even with buy orders it’s still 50s+ per. But I’m still plugging away.

Interesting figures:
Weapon skin went from 11.89% > 2.24% > 3.36%
Ascended Weapons: 10.19% > 2.4% > 5.28%
Ascended Armor: 3.82% > 6.41% > 9.9% – Each one of the patches addressed the “Ascended armor drop increase” and the data is reflecting this.
Personal drops since 5/20 – nothing more than a ring ~20 runs.
Great idea. There are “bonus” events in most of the dungeon paths. Leave the gold reward at the end the same but add 10s/T6/Loot bag/etc. for each bonus event you complete. Finish the escort across the first bridge + killing the ooze boss yields 2 bonus loot bags.
Lots of ideas to break the stack/Serker (c’mon people there is no Z) lately, but the real way to “fix” it is to do one of two things…. or…… BOTH!
1 – Make conditions not cap party wide, and beef up the damage output they can put out.
2 – The real problem of it all…. the AI. Heck, if a boss “senses” that there are a bunch of FGS wielding people in a corner, it should say to itself “Self, I’m going to the meat grinder if I round that corner, maybe I should use my awesome aoe and splash it on them”. I wasn’t around for beta, but I heard that the monsters would actually dodge you in a more active combat. If they just implemented that on bosses that would be great.
I am so torn on which dungeon NPC I hate most, Magg or Hodgins. In most cases, Magg is awful.
I did about 150 today and got the recipe. Lucky for me. That is all the RNG blessings I will get for the next few months.
I’d like to add a couple of things,
1. Mining, there is a couple of very good spot with Rich Iron Node/Platinum Node that respawn at the same place everyday, if you have 4-5 + alt character, it becomes very lucrative to farm them everyday. (I’d be willing to show them if you are interested) I makes 3-4 gold everyday in about 10 minutes doing this.
I’d like to know the location of a reliable rich iron node that is close to a waypoint. Are you mining the platinum node that is close to the golem world event, or have you found a better one?

I’ve run a 50 nearly every day since the patch and only received infused and uninfused rings.
Also have been receiving an alarming number of vials of mists essence.
Silver lining: At least I’ve made about 1 gold in the last month selling rings.
What is sad is that with 8-10 minutes in CoF 1 you will get the same amount of gold as ~20 hours of fractals from rings vendoring.

I thought i’d post something here, because it’s just ridiculous, I do at least 1 fractal per day since “fractured” (the updated rewards got me interested, one of my goal now is to get every fractal weapons), I completed Fractal Frequenter a long long long LONG time ago, I got thousands and THOUSANDS of useless fractal relics, almost a hundred of pristines, more ascended rings that i can count.

I do agree that a decrease in precursor prices would surely increase the prices for other component prices, but it is hard to imagine if it would result in a higher overall cost for the legendary.
I’m too lazy and not the best at math, but you would have to calculate how much the prices of T6 mats and lodestones (or other specific components) would have to rise, on average, to cover the cost savings of the lower precursor price.
I don’t feel like turning my brain on this afternoon, so I am going with simple math. We can use the two gifts that are used by every legendary: Gift of Might and Magic. Those need 2000 items total. If the price of T6 increases by 1 silver, then we are talking about an extra 20 gold. I’m at work so I can’t check current prices, but let us say that the average T6 is 40s and the demand for said items will go up 10%, that would be an increase of ~80gold.
The question then becomes, will the increase in precursors rise or drop the price by ~80 gold (+legendary specific items).
Personally – I think that increasing options for T6 farming is a better option than increasing the precursor drop rate.
And to the OP, while Anet is not helping the price of the precursor, it is the consumer who ultimately drive the price of the precursors.

I don’t really understand why all the rewards for a 9 week WvW tournament are so poor.
For 1st place you should be able to get at least one Ascended weapon, not an exotic, and have tickets left over to get something else, then they could have scaled down the rewards using that as a starting place.
The rewards are disproportionately bad considering that (1) It is a tournament, and (2) How long the tournament was.
In contrast The Tournament of Legends prizes were (for 2 days gameplay):
*1st place: Choice of Legendary (Eternity excluded), 2,000 gems, 2 Black Lion Weapon Tickets
*2nd place: Choice of Gift of Mastery or Fortune, Choice of Precursor, 800 gems, Black Lion Weapon Ticket
*3rd and 4th place: Choice of Gift of Mastery or Fortune, Black Lion Weapon Ticket
*5th through 8th place: Choice of Gift of Magic or Might, Black Lion Weapon TicketMaybe Anet thought it had to limit the rewards because of the number of people playing WvW is much more. But why limit it to such an extent.
I’m not suggesting giving the same rewards as the sPVP tournament, but an ascended weapon would have been more appropriate for WvW (top places), exotic for lower (rare for even lower) placement, a permanent finisher (rather than a limited one), seriously who needs more ascended mats, while they could have a least have increased the number of obsidian shards for a ticket purchase. This was my first tournament, but I don’t think I’ll bother with it again if it has the same format.
The large issue is, for a large portion, they only needed 2-5 days of work and they did not spend all 9 weeks on it. While I know it was 9 weeks of grind for me, I know it wasn’t this way for many. I would of loved say a weekly achievement that would of given a few more tickets per how your server did that week. 15 for first, 10 for 2nd and 5 for 3rd only if you did work that week.
I was going to be devil’s advocate but you hit it right here. I was done with the meta in a few days. Did I go back to WvW? Every week. Anet cannot scale the rewards any more than Finish the Meta and help your server win. F
That may be, we will see. However, it is never a good sign to have 5 people do a high level fractal and none of them get any reward at all. I am not impressed with the algorithm at this stage.
What do you consider a high lv fractal? If you are counting something in the 41-50 you have about 1/4 chance to get something. Statistically should one of you gotten something, sure, but it isn’t that far off.
Might be heresay but I heard that since the rewards update the drop rates in 49 and 50 have actually gotten worse. Not sure if this is a result of wonky stats or Anet error (or it could be 100% false).
Someone with programing expertise might know this. How hard is it to fix the drops? Seems to be a simple change X for Y and it’s fixed.
This is the only truth we have, 50s have been increased since March.
The data that is being collected on the google doc is starting to shape. YES, we still aren’t at a big data set, but we are getting there.
It looks like there was an increase in Ascended drops (both weapon and armor) in the 40s bracket from 8.8% to 14% (rounding for easy numbers). On the otherhand, the 30s bracket took a hit from going from 7.75% to 5% and the 20s bracket went from 6% to 3%.
So it is starting to shake out that running the higher fractals will yield a higher drop rate % on ascended boxes. But the 30s bracket has the highest chance for skins.
I saw this thread and thought it was going to be a joke. Please don’t have Anet nerf one of the last farms in the game.

He was nerfed with the last patch. The laser now hits him for damage. I’ve gone from have about 1 min left for the kill to over 3 minutes. Seriously, Anet needs MORE of these fights. If you think he is too tough, you are in the minority and just don’t do the encounter.
So this weekend, COF p1 had two moments where I just had to shake my head and wonder, who is actually playing this game.
First trip… had a mes which I am always happy about because it makes the boulder part a lot faster. Get up there and the guy picks up a rock…. before I could type in “are you going to use portal” he runs in a dies. Than he says in chat… Oh…. I didn’t realize you wanted me to use portal…… Ummm what else are Mes’s for in COFp1?
Second Trip. The mes pings chat portal and sets it up great. Me and one other take it while the other 2 run in and die (one stayed dead… never WP’d to help out). They both had COF gear on so I know this isn’t their first trip through…..
Baffles the mind what you get in PUG’s these days…. really ruins my already limited time I have on this game when I’m stuck in the easiest dungeon run forever with only time to think about what the person behind the computer is really doing.
So like a total of 12 minutes instead of 9? #firstworldgamingproblems
