I blame ANet for this. No Walking (OP) obviously has no idea what he’s talking about and is dead wrong, and I think personal score should be taken out of the game. It means nothing. But continue to triple cap home at the start of your game while your team wipes at mid… for the sake of… points.
lmfao are you serious. Jesus christ some people are so overly sensitive. How hard is it to overlook this. It means nothing? It records the amount of points you get from taking points, reviving allies, and killing enemies. How does it mean nothing? You can argue that that doesn’t matter as far as capturing nodes go and winning the game, but it’s already implemented in the game. It’s just a simple reminder that says hey, you captured a node, revived an ally, stomped someone or assisted in stomping someone.
The only time anyone even gives a kitten about personal score is in hot joins, but even then, that’s not always the case (newbies trying the game/people testing a build/casuals)
What Alekt said.
The problem is that people just build this imaginary thought in their head that’s always trying to compare kitten size in one way or another. Scores, non-meta/meta builds/lag. Rofl.
This thread is a trip. Thanks for the read and laughs @OP.
Obviously, the OP cares about personal score. Newer players tend to think personal score is a reflection of how much you’ve contributed in the game. As someone else here already mentioned, you can bunk on a point 1v1 all game and not get any points. Does this make that person’s contribution any less than someone who roamed and back capped all game (receiving far more points)? I didn’t think so bud. If personal score is removed, there will be no more confusion about this for the new pvpers.
What the hell are you going on about? You’re just agreeing to my point lmao. I was referring to your statement in which you suggested that Anet removed the scores altogether. I never once stated that points mattered, so why are you implying that I would believe someone bunking with little points is worth less than someone that has a large sum of points? Kek. You’re reading into this a little too much. Confusion? It’s perfectly laid out for anyone pvping. The stats after a game tells you everything you need. How is that confusing? When this game launched, I strictly played PvP and not once did I hear anyone think it was confusing.
Refer to the second part of my post about hot joins.
The thing that you state “confuses” new pvpers is yes, in part because of the scores, but it’s mainly their own thought process. They think more points = kitten size and honestly, what can you do about that really, other than explaining to them how the game works, i.e. more points =/ 1337ness.
Edit: it’s obvious you’re confused on my stance on the matter. Allow me to refer to my own post, as kittenbaggy as it is. “how hard is it to overlook this.” That’s one. “The only time anyone even gives a kitten about personal score is in hot joins…” That’s two. Refer to what I see is the “problem”. That’s three. That should be enough clues for you to understand my stance.
I don’t know what else to tell you. It’s obviously an issue. The OP here is a perfect example. While you weren’t confused about personal score when you started pvp, many people were. I’ve seen it dozens of times.
Honestly, I think some players are just a little too hung up on minor problems. Yeah I agree that the OP is confused, but like I said, what can you do but inform them? He just didn’t take into account bunker builds.

Can anyone give testament to this build? Aside from the OP I mean.

The bosses gets revived. :P
Not the Ley Line pods, the pod beneath the blight tower
I completely forgot about the Ley Line pods. I should’ve put /s after the post because it was just meant to be a kek. Sorry.
Underwater Golem in sPvP lobby. Underwater is a mechanic in GW2. Water is anagram for rawet. Rawet is not a word. Word is 4 letters long. PvP matches are 15 minutes long. 15 minutes equal to 900 seconds. 3600 seconds in an hour. 24 hours in a day. Twenty four plus teen is 2014. 2014 + 4150000 = 4152014. 4/15/2014 = date Capricorn removed. Capricorn confirmed.

I hope whoever designs these hairstyles are not real life hairdressers…
I mean… WTF is this?
I’m torn between a bunch of purple broccoli with 4 purple ginger roots attached or a purple mushroom cloud with a hatband and some very large purple sausage. I’m leaning towards the broccoli, but I’ve got room for that poor Charr to be thinking that his mind is blown.
Whenever I see that I think of the ’fro during the time when disco was the kitten.
Score definitely does matter.
I got 800 points on Capricorn by abusing cannon. Rofl.

It adds to the realism.
Go get it checked out by a priest of Dwayna in Divinity’s Reach.
The latter.
LMFAO. You might as well avoid all means of online communications then. I honestly don’t know if this is a joke or what, but I’ll throw an example out there. If you go on Twitch, and the streamer just happens to be talking about Star Wars, people will just RIP random characters. I mean, can you really be that surprised?
berserker new meta confirmed
This won’t end well.
I miss 14k+ backstabs :c
People used to fear thieves. If you had 2 gank you it meant certain death. :c
Pretty neat
The Guild Wars 2 forums never ceases to entertain me. Thanks for the read.
We have our own perspectives and views on what we like, obviously. Just because someone does this, doesn’t mean they’re being edgy or trying to be the “god of death”. Maybe it fits their appearance or they don’t have a backpack that fits. I have shadow abyss and black wings. I used to hate it and how mainstream it is, literally everyone running around with wings cluttering the screen up.
Not everything has to be in place. You can make a character look like a complete hipster from our modern world. You have aviators, sun glasses, wide rim glasses. People running around with bunny ears.
To each his own. Keep an open mind. Have a nice day. c:
Time isn’t anywhere in my posts (apologies for my literal interpretation), but yeah I agree it’ll take time. It’s just with all that’s going on, especially the pro leagues and the balancing problems, adding game modes might prove to be more detrimental than advantageous. Considering Stronghold being put on hold, it’s blatant they have their hands full.
I was taking your examples into consideration at the time of my post, “8v8”, “TDM”, “bigger scale”, “capture the flag”.
Of course, the 2 v 2 tourneys in the past seemed fun, even when they were ridden with cancer (but top tier players managed fine).
Unless you’re at ArenaNet and working on the programmings, planning, etc. I find it difficult to understand how you’d assume it were so easy.

My best one up to date was “why do you [censored] play ranked when you don’t have elite specs? Arena.net should bar everyone who doesn’t have HoT from entering ranked!”
Like hell I will stop playing pvp after 3 years of guild wars 2 just because Arena.net decided to go full mental and break the balance of their own game in half by hiding the strongest specs behind a p2w wall.
Lmfao who the hell is the kitten that said it? lololololol. PvP schticks are the best.
One might argue that balance is more important than adding game modes and simply adding game modes requires more work. More balancing, more updates, fixes, and as a result, more work for the developers to accomplish which will span their focus wider.
If it were so easy.
Chill. Season 3 is coming early 2016. You’re referring to the living story seasons yeah? Simple. Seasons 1 and 2 led up to HoT story. Big release, tons of feedback (negative and positive), and now we’re taking things chunk by chunk.

kitten talking is in every competitive game, no way around it. It’s the internetz.
Reclaimed armor? There’s reclaimed weapons.
If they post on here, they’ll receive a bunch of off topic responses attacking their post, what they’re not doing, what they fail at, etc. I’d pay money to read that.
Better stay on Reddit to receive level headed responses.
Directions unclear, rolled warrior in pvp.
CS:GO is just naturally competitive so balancing is common. GW2 has a variety of things you can do so it draws attention away from certain parts of the game.
Though, I do understand the message that Anet should be replying.

matchmaking assigns each team an a priori probability of winning…
if this was 50% plus or minus 15% for each match, the chance of this happening is still less than one in one trillion

Pics or it didn’t happen
That’s right folks. As you might have guessed, what is this guy talking about? Well allow me to tell you my story.
It all began some time ago, during the battle of Capricorn. We conduct our operations in 5 man teams, no more, no less. Quick, deadly, efficient. The three modes in which we carried out our missions. Mesmer, warrior, thief, guardian, and engineer. That’s right folks, warriors and thieves were our bread and butter.
After capturing home, scumbag ranger bunkered down on the underwater node. The underwater cheese was real, so we dare not risk our lives. Then… Then it happened. The great battle on the platform which held the greatest weapon in all of GW2’s universe. The cannon.
Good thing we had our own cheese. Bull’s charge, frenzy, 100 blade warrior. Engineer magnet pull 100 nades. Mesmer one shot mirror blade shatters. Thief 15k backstabs. All feared our prowess.
Until that fateful day. “A new build will be available in 15 minutes”. What is this blasphemy?! Disconnection was Mist wide, all trembled before the immortal and omniscient nerf. How could this be? The six gods have left us, as did the developers.
I knew, I knew it was the end. The notes, lines of questionable buffs and nerfs, power creep just around the corner. It shook me to my very core. Finally, I could handle it no more. I shouted, “Open the door! Get on the floor! Everybody do the dinosaur!”
I haven’t slept in almost 48 hours. Finals coming up. Thanks for reading. #capricorn2016

Communications, mechanical/class knowledge, reaction time, awareness, games played, scrims, etc.
Too many variables for you to be making this judgement. You could sit here and debate it all day but it wouldn’t do you any good by the end of the day. Just gotta play this game constantly and scrim with high tier teams in order to get better, which the Abjured do.
Warrior is more useful than thief. Every time I have a thief on my time I have lost. Some of the biggest losses were 2 thief. Just no.
ppl like you have a negative mental pressure on your team when judging thieves.
Can’t hate anything more than seeing “oh no we got thif wi lost ze Gáme! reroll ASAP!!!”
Nice photoshop :P
