Can you explain who “we” are? I’m confused.
@OP people do want 2h axes, among many other weapons.. Just google “GW2 forums 2h axes”.
I found it on the first few days of release, thought it was the end of a jumping puzzle.
It’s a pretty neat find.
It’s simple. Use CC.
Doesn’t always work considering the amount of stability that’s thrown around. But I suppose when it does work it’s due to PuG not focusing enough.
Well, how convenient, druids actually has very low stability access. Only their elite gives them some.
Yeah I’m well aware of this. I worded that wrong. What I meant to say was that there’s a considerable amount of things they, as well as other classes in the fight, are doing that are preventing CC locks. I’m purely speaking about team fights which is why I point out the PuG part. When I wrote the first sentence, I only recalled the constant stability application from Scrappers and Reapers during team fights (which are two classes I often encountered accompanying a druid), so pardon my faulty memory.
because the pet Runs to the downed to " search and Rescue " the rescue part is the Teleport and pet res .
ps those of you need to learn not everything is about close Quarter combat , S and R is fine but its also a two edged sword if played incorrectly aka the pet is miles away from the downed , the time taken for the pet to “search” is a dps or damage/pressure down time so instead of Tunnel vison onto that downed target "listen and look for the pet to move away from you / away from group or just change target and AoE range / interrupt the ranger so it can’t do any back up support / additonal res .
benifts the ranger if the pet and him are Closer to the target but not too close , the closer a S and R is done the higher the risk for a double edged sword it can down the pet and or Nearly stop or down the ranger people will just have to learn to Aoe pressure at range rather than the old Cleave spam dead bodies because this is not going to change just because some people don’t like it.
Yes but searching involves actively committing the action of finding, i.e. looking for something (body). Rescue is saving the body, which is the reviving part. The teleport part of search and rescue is shoehorned in.
You’re definitely correct about the process of preventing it, but that requires quite a bit of a coordinated effort. I’ve yet to see one druid mess Search and Rescue up. I’m usually on the lookout for druids kiting for Search and Rescue, but it’s difficult to get to their position from various points of the map. I’ll always throw my CC’s onto the “tunnel vision”-ed downed body, as well as placing poisons (once Search and Rescue is active) but I suppose here’s where the PuG part comes into play. “Interrupt the ranger for back up support?” That’s easier said than done considering factors such as other players, stability, and positioning.
AoE pressure at range seems only possible with (seems because meta):
- Necromancers
- Warrior
- Guardian
- Mesmer
Of course each of these are dependent on build. People don’t like it because of how strong it is in various maps/spots. Instant teleporting for a secured res at the press of one button is quite strong. Elixir R is on a high cool down, battle standard is on a high cool down plus they had a long and obvious cast time animation, necromancer’s signet of undeath has a long cast time as well as cool down, mesmer’s illusion of life has a long cool down as well as not being a full resurrection, guardian’s signet res is on a high cool down as well as having a long cast time. Yes some of these don’t have a place in the meta, but they’re all of the same concept. I wouldn’t say that the skill won’t be changed since this is ArenaNet. (note the large changes to PvP such as amulets, traits/skill reworks, etc.)

I would still play.
I think permanent death can create a greater bond to your character so you’ll do everything in your power to prevent death. The immersion, the attachment, plus you’ll probably get better at the game.
It’s simple. Use CC.

Hey there,
Search and rescue is 1/2 search and 1/2 rescue, so why does it teleport players away for a secure res? Why not just name it tele and rescue? or telescue? or resport? or secureport? or resecureport?
No but seriously, this skill is rather strong for something on a ~45 cool down. However, I suppose the majority of the difficulty is running with random players rather than being organized, but even with self-aware players, the cleave is simply not enough against anymore than 1 druid.
Even if we were to focus the druid, focus in the terms of PuG focus rather than organized, there’s the stealth, the disengage, the heals.
Any thoughts on how to deal with this?
No more reveals like “the dragons have a weakness” (Rata Novus). Seems redundant.
Hawkmen…..Dive!
Stand by my Hawkmen! Dive!
Cue guitar and lasers
I don’t understand why people feel the need to interject their negativity. You can’t make a game look like a free to play generic crappy MMO because guess what…..its not.
Also, all you wing haters, just about anything can fit the lore in a magical world such as the GW2 universe. And why does Anet make wings? Hmm….gliding. Your toons can now fly, why not fly on wings. Its a natural progression and people like it. There are things I don’t like about the game too that I don’t whine about here.
So for the majority of people that do enjoy the wings. Yes. Backpack please.
BTW I have seen Golden Eagle wings in data-mined information, so you guys all have fun whining about that too. I’m going to go back to enjoying the game now.
Because the entire wings trend is repetitive and almost unimaginative. ArenaNet could’ve created entirely different and unique types of gliders, yet they prefer to stick to similar styled gliders with different colors and effects. Jetpacks, balloons, Cthulhu-esque, rocket boosters, etc. There’s an enormous array of possibilities yet the gem store is consistently filled with wings (not the entire gem store but the gliders department).
“… just about anything can fit the lore in a magical world such as the GW2 universe.” backfires on you because that means anything else can fit. I understand you’re most likely directing that statement towards those who uses lore as support to oppose the glider wings, but it’s hardly a valid reasoning for your preference of wings considering the various other skins that fits gliding.
Your toons can’t necessarily fly in the avian sense, your toons can glide. “… and people like it.” Speak for yourself (and others that may agree of course).
The forums is a tool for the community, especially the more vocal part, to express their preferences, concerns, or discuss matters pertaining to the content of the game. Your inaction is irrelevant.
Have fun enjoying the game.
Black Desert is looking pretty awesome right now.
ArenaNet please stop failing combat design.
Therapy here I come.
It’s a war zone in Magus Falls. It’s a war zone on the forums.
A bundle of balloons so I can stay up in the air :^)

I can confirm that is me. :^)
I want whatever you’re on.
Are you sure you want to play Minesweeper?
Hey there. Skip to the bold if you don’t want to read.
I’ve been playing since the beta weekends way back when, and began playing exclusively PvP as a thief since it was ridiculously fun (I’ll admit the insane backstabs were what got me into thieves in the first place). However, once I got into PvE I started doubting my abilities since it seemed as if the class can only fulfill a limited niche. I have a Warrior, Revenant, and an Engineer and they seem to contribute more than a thief. The relevance of the beta weekend bit is that as a thief, even to this day, I question my role in PvE.
I’ve even bought all of the medium armor cosmetics from the gem store for my thief, for whatever that’s worth lol.
What motivates you to play your thief considering the wide arrays of abilities other classes bring to the table, pre-HoT and post-HoT? What is it that keeps the class fresh to you? Is it the concept of the class? Or perhaps the combat?
All aboard the bandwagon.
“Why do people in general complain too much?”
Why do people give a kitten what other people do? And how much is too much? How many complaints may people file without breaking out of the acceptable norm for amount of complaints?
Because it can affect them. Too much is when it’s common occurrence. Same question as the last except quantity is considered.
Because enough complaints will cause change, i.e. Anet address those problems. Too much is when ArenaNet takes action. Same question as the last except quantity is considered.

Looks pretty normal imo
We have gliders now so it is more likely that we can traverse the terrain when Arena Net decide to go to it.
I doubt it will be till an expansion, fingers crossed it will be the next one.
What does gliders have to do with the Tengu? They cant fly and their “Dominion of Winds” is just regular old island behind the wall. It has nothing to do with flying.
I think since Tengus are an avian race, he made the connection to flying which then translate into a city that requires some form of flight to traverse it (gliding).
This is a known problem.
You can’t use any specific player’s name or the post will be deleted.
Not everyone thinks they’re wrong but are probably wrong, and since they don’t think they’re wrong they assume it’s others’ fault. This is just generalization of course but I’ve seen my fair share of hypocrites.
yes
As someone that’s been hopping from one MMO (particularly Asian developed) to the next for almost 10 years now, I’d say Guild Wars 2 (although not an Asian MMO) is better than anything I’ve ever played. There’s no market shop pay to win incentives, and that alone makes it infinitely better (opinion).
I don’t know how many times I’ve been disappointed when a game comes out that shows so much potential, but requires some sort of payment in order to compete in end game or make your life 100x easier.
I understand that F2P needs some sort of income and this is why, in my opinion, GW2 B2P model plus microtransactions work so well.
I agree OP. Taking breaks really shows how great GW2 is. The combat alone is amazing and the only combat systems that are better is Vindictus/Black Desert’s hack and slash combat (opinion).
Edit: just out of curiosity, anyone ever played 2moons? #represent

I just did map completion in Dragon Stand on my level 18 elementalist.
I want to do this now.
These topics are the best bait. I’m glad I grabbed some popcorn as soon as I read the title.
I agree with the OP, sort of (to somewhat contribute to this thread).
Some people have a lose sense of spelling. Don’t loose you mind over it :p

Well Heart of Thorns seemed rushed, so perhaps the next one ArenaNet won’t rush it and as a result, it’ll have better content?
That’s such a drastic approach to the problems of the first and only expansion so far.
… theres basically zero fun things to do anymore in gw2.
… aka zero fun.
That’s quite an opinion you have there.
Season 1 on repeat seems more boring than the large amount of content that comes with Heart of Thorns, but I don’t know if that’s a low-key hyperbole.
Your suggestion is smothered in personal bias (and dare I say, frustration), but that’s how many of these forum posts are aren’t they.
What a kittenty video
I started cutting because of video. It’s so edgy it cuts for me.

Hey guys, I want to update you all since it’s been some hours since I asked for your help.
Shout out to Flesh, Blackfox, Teniz, and Seera for the suggestions. However, it’s 11:25 P.M. right now and this is all I have so far.

What’s the essay on?
What not to do at a stoplight.
Check wiki and copy anything you find there. Be sure to add the link to the wiki site on your page so the teacher can check the accuracy of your copying. Teachers love small details like that. It shows that you care.
But isn’t that plagiarism…
I have a 200 word essay due tomorrow and I’m still playing Guild Wars 2.

yea i did that once. then i ended up just spamming skills by accident into map chat
Oh do you click your skills?
Guild Wars 3 is going to take place in Cantha and Guild Wars 4 is going to take place in Elona.
I was half expecting a list of redundant and simple well known facts that may as well be common sense.
Slightly disappointed.
Because you may unintentionally sell something you want to keep.
You can do this with much more valuable items than these odd items, plus you can buy it back from the vendor.
I have wondered why some items have these odd restrictions on them.
Oh yeah there’s the buy back thing.
Why does ArenaNet have to make things so complicated?
It should be simple.
lmao
Why are you trying so hard? Someone ban this clown.
Don’t take that to heart.
Your Elin has no relevance to your post except to reminisce about your failed promotion for an anime race on another sub-forum.
You’re beating a dead horse at this moment, they’re obviously working to improve the game. Did you not read their plans for Season 2?
Edit: Gaile stated: “There are a few other things coming that will impact the next season of PvP Leagues (namely our next balance update) that will be discussed separately – so keep an eye on our forums and on Guildwars2.com for updates.”
Well tickle my _ and call me Samantha, I just took the b8.
i am mentioning this for the sake of gw2 improvement. idon’t think that few other thing will not have that much impact tho. We need something big and huge.
I’m in no position to say what you intended to do or not do with this thread, but it’s blatant you’re asking the developers to do something to improve the game. I won’t quote you since it’s right in front of your eyes.
If you wanted to suggest a big patch with large overhauls is in order for a more balanced game, then your post has a rather shoddy way of conveying that.
“why we don’t have standard league of legends map but copied map like stronghold?”…. what?
The reason why i am doing this cuz last time I watched Anas Tarcis’s twitch and some1 in his twitch said Tarcis gonna quit gw2 and play league of legends to earn money. thus i felt sense of crisis, thus i try to give every suggesstions for this game that pass through my mind which hopefully help this game being a lot healthier and esports-oriented.
Sense of crisis because one player left? How many others have left before?
You’re either late, oblivious, or somewhere in between. Your first two suggestions are so general, it offers nothing of importance except for separated balances between game modes (which has already been brought up multiple times in the past).
By “every stuffs free”, what do you even mean by that? “Rip all cele and bunker build”, would you rather everyone be glass?
“Why we still don’t have in-game booster store that rewards mvp of the match who kills lot like lol”. I didn’t realize in-game boosters were wanted.
“why we don’t have standard league of legends map but copied map like stronghold?” I still don’t understand what you mean by this.
I have no life, hence my attendance here.
you clearly don’t understand the meaning of leaving if it is said by a big person who has influence on at least 100+ people. It just doesn’t mean that one person leaves.
You clearly underestimate my powers. kek.
I get that Tarcis is usually the one making the builds for the warrior community, but you’re overestimating the effect he has as he leaves the community. He’s not taking the meta with him; the meta battle website that you consider was a problem is still going to be up. Players will find the meta themselves. There’s a large quantity of warrior players who are devoted to the class that are most likely more than willing to find a strong build, be it meta or not.
Other than meta, give me a few other reasons how he influenced 100+ people.
You didn’t give an example as to how he influenced 100+ people, rather, I gave one for you.
I’m arguing with a guy that believed meta battle was the bigger problem as it “attracted newer players to the meta” (paraphrasing) which in turn causes the community to become toxic (as opposed to the fact that ArenaNet is struggling to find balance in classes).
You should tape the key down.
