Druid elite skill: Become Moa.
I’m calling it!
Yeah, we kind of figured we would be dead last because we were first to get our name confirmed.
Classic A-Net trade offs huh?

To be honest with you I almost never see anyone using the treb and usually avoid it myself because I play LB ranger. But if it is any good then 2 supply sounds reasonable.
Shut up and take my money!!!
S/D just doesn’t feel the same without the range, I used to be extremely mobile with SotH combined with S/D and the leap range on #2 becoming base doesn’t help this either.
The biggest issue I have with traps is that the damage isn’t worth the defense trade off. Even with the knockdown on spike and the condi change overall it simply isn’t worth the investment because it only takes a couple of skills to completely negate all the damage. Correct me if I’m wrong but traps also still scale poorly with power which makes their burst even more pathetic. Also that spike trap CD nerf was not necessary.
Perhaps when I have a little more than 3 gold lol.
New elite skill: Become moa
Don’t forget that stats leaving base traits should make it a hell of a lot easier to break this threshold in condi dmg so I doubt it will be too bad for things like mad king rangers.
I feel that spirit balance needs to be based on large area effects especially due to them no longer moving with you. 360 just wont cut it, but there are some interesting concepts here that I wouldn’t mind seeing if done correctly.
Poison Master is an extremely useful trait when in a 1v1 against a D/D cele. They almost can’t avoid having this condition on them when fighting a ranger especially if you run S/D.
I feel like a glassbow ranger could work very well especially for them coordinated spikes ;D

Due to S/D being an extremely slippery weapon set with loads of poison up time it’s usually associated with a condi / DoT type build. Probably paired with SB or A/T for dem bursts. In terms of pets there are a few which are just better than the rest for SPvP such as the wolf who makes it onto nearly every rangers bar regardless of build.
I just want to glide in WvW ;D
As awesome as it might be I unfortunately doubt that we will ever get this.
shut up and take my money!
Congrats mate!
preparations plz?!?!?
Misleading title is misleading.
The auto may be very clunky but to be honest I consider it more of a condi weapon in PvP and therefor requires little 11111111111, not to mention that once you get used to the controls it can be extremely useful for its hornet/monarch especially against pesky thieves. All in all it’s still one of the best PvP weapons available to ranger.
I don’t know whether to laugh or facepalm……….maybe both?
Good times, good times.
Interesting setup, you don’t normally associate LB with a condi weapon swap but I suppose it can work. Kinda reminds me of when I tried to make a LB bleeder build with sharpening stone, sharpened edges, and keens edge. It was extremely trollish putting 25 bleed stacks from max range and then running but didn’t work for sPvP obviously.
pew pew!
To be honest getting kills with a glass bow setup doesn’t take much skill to do especially if you target the squishy classes such as the thief and mes. Successfully winning/surviving fights where you have been focus fired, however, are less brain-dead and much more fun.

oooooh…..Stealth counter traps sound like fun, haven’t thought of that.

Well it’s not like UW combat has any serious issues in PvE because class balance isn’t near as noticeable as it was in WvW/Conquest. UW skill balancing is the only thing wrong that I have noticed anyway.
Ranger pet healz FTW
In due time man……….. in due time.
lol
Think we will ever get mid-air combat?!?!?
LOL probably not but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Yeah, the nice thing about that in GW1 was that everyone could technically tame pets.
^ lol
If you can tell the forums what exactly you’re having trouble with then perhaps we can provide tips/advise to overcome these issues. It could be a build problem or just a player skill issue which can be easily fixed by changing tactics of play.
Wait…….you don’t automatically get two chests boxes on first kill?!?!?
LOL I must be extremely lucky :DDDDD
I can imagine having the option as a Sylvari to betray your friends at the end and forever reign as the domineering race over Tyria.
-All Sylvari fuse inside Mordrromoth power-ranger’s style?
I think the CD reduction we got for entangle more than makes up for this issue, considering the fact that it’s multi-target and has a reasonably short activation time this is still one of rangers go to skills.
You think this might call for a water spirit?!?!? To be honest I have never bothered using it and I am not sure if this would make it viable or not.
just a thought…..
I imagine this would get out of hand rather quickly due to the high condi spikes while maintaining stealth and mobility. While it sounds fun this would be an extremely unbalanced set up and would destroy all hope of seeing trappers runes making it to SPVP.
Entangle… So many delicious tears to consume.
erey day
Well it doesn’t necessarily have to apply to a players stat increase, perhaps we can get something that’s more of an active trade off such as effect duration from skills or traits. For example the Gw1 skill “Illusion of Pain” would do really nice DoT but at the end of the skills duration it gave a base heal to the foe who had it. So the higher damage the skill did the more healing the enemy got when it ended which required very good timing. I’m sure there are other things that could be added but this is just a suggestion.
Am I the only one who misses the the negative effect trade offs from the original Guild Wars on things like runes which would require you to sacrifice large portions of health in order to get attribute points? I just feel like it really helped with build diversity and could possibly be helpful/enjoyable in this game for something other than simply picking what gives you the largest boost. I know necro has skills that do this sort of thing but I would want something less class specific. What are you’re guys’ thoughts on this?
Ultimate pet build……………………………nuff said!!!!!!1111oneone
Although I’m not sure how this would affect the game I would much rather have interchangeable weapon skills similar to the current utilities. Even if it’s just one extra skill per slot with the exception of maybe the auto-attack.
Out of breath ranger then?
You only get 1 mb/s……..
How do you even manage to play this game at all??? I have approximately 7-20 depending on Time Warner’s mood and still experience major lag from time to time.
Right, thanks for clearing that up.
