orbs needed to go, as they gave zerg servers even more of an advantage. can’t say i care about jumping puzzles as i don’t go into wvw to pve.

i think it could work if there was a way to shoot them down. obviously this wouldn’t go with SM, they’d be like siege golems.

for me, I love crafting, and it’s never been about strictly leveling the specific job. It’s been about mastering that job. In other games, people have come to me because I made the best xxx for yyy profession. In EQII, my guilds knew me to be a crafter, often spending hours in the guild halls making blades. Almost every blade came out perfect, almost every piece of mail or plate had no kinks or flaws. Crafting shouldn’t be about how much exp it can get you. the problem with profiting from crafting, is everyone’s a crafter.

Lola and Boots-Kormak’s Valentine’s Day

I began hammering away at my steel, and got a small drill bit for the rifling. Afterwards, there was a long silence as I started the frame of the rifle and the lever-action. Soon I finished the rifle, then started on the next set of pistols, which I would call Justice and Mercy. They were a seven round capacity handgun, Justice was a much higher caliber though. As I was finishing the iron sights on Mercy, I felt something blow on my ears. I shook my mane and looked around to find what it was.
“Should’ve expected you wouldn’t leave.” I said, abruptly.
“I had to go pay the leatherworker who made these shoes I’m wearing. What do you think of them?” She asked, twirling around and modeling her new boots.
“Are you asking me if the boots make you look prettier? I don’t know. Charr don’t really uh…design things that…” I started to follow her every twirl. Of course she wears her best clothes today.
“That what, Kormak?”
“You’re beautiful.”
“What?” She asked, tilting her head.
“Huh? Did I say something?”
“I think you did.”
“I said you were cute, okay? Well, beautiful. Cute has less syllables.”
She kissed my cheek. If Charrs could blush, I think I might’ve been.
“You remember when I told you I only stick around you because I like cats? Well I kind of lied. You’re really sweet when you aren’t shooting Invaders in the face.” She said, petting me in my weak spot behind my left horn.
I pulled something out of my coat pocket and handed it to her.
“What is this?”
“Open it.”
She opened it to find a masterfully crafted ring with a ruby setting and opal crests.
“It’s gorgeous..Where did you get it?”
I held up my paws.
“Wait, you made it?” She was flabbergasted.
“Yeah, I was voted best Jeweler in the Citadel five years running.”
“I have something for you too Kormak.”
Lola reached into her pocket and pulled out…..yarn!
“This isn’t just any yarn, I cast Mantra of Resolve on it so no one can hurt you.”
I reached for it and tied it around my left horn, then she rubbed my mane.
“Very cute, Kormak.”
“Thank you Lola.” I said with a gigantic toothy grin.

i really appreciate it. Kormak Wildborne is the name of my Charr Engineer, Lola is completely made up but based on a from a friend of mine in game. The female asura is made up as well. Michelle is based on a girl i knew in game, we were always in a party together in world vs world, she was really sarcastic and actually very pretty. (her character was pretty but i meant the person)
as for Kormak’s personality in the stories, when i see a someone like “michelle” run by in wvwvw, i usually stop fighting invaders to chase her xD

what drives almost every author is feedback. so, i could use some. please?

i agree, it was honest. kaineng came from nothing and dominated servers who were already reduced to nothing.

Because anyone that thinks the main point of the shortbow is damage or that touch is worth it when you already have access to fire isn’t as smart as they think.

I run my condi/traps ranger with SB 99% of time because staying at range makes you more survivable (in wvw at least).
and since burning doesn’t stack in intensity, burning trap is more than enough.

except it isn’t. as the burn lasts 3 seconds. bonfire gives 5 or 8 stacks at once and lasts 1 1/4 seconds. sooooOoooooO…

think of rangers as the Samurai of Guild Wars 2. thinking like that every time i found a zerg made the job oh so much easier.

when short bow isn’t the flavor of the month/year/whatever anymore, you’ll see ranger success climb.
i sat and took short bow arrows to the face a solid 20 seconds and took 2k damage. for some reason 90% of SB rangers don’t move at all when they use it. easy pickings for someone like me who prefers to melee.
axes: underused
torch: holy kitten underused. have you seen the burn damage on bonfire?
axe offhand: why aren’t glass rangers using this? path of scars hits hard even for a cleric’s build like me.

get away from the cookie cutter. no more sb and axe/horn. that isn’t playing your class that’s playing someone’s else’s build on the game’s class.

this is seriously getting boring. a server that can’t defend against a server with more people

After a long day of hard working, I decided that I deserved a pint or six. I had gone but twenty steps, and there stood Lola. My expression went immediately from excited and relaxed to stressful.
“Oh, hi there Lola!” I said, shaking my mane. “Have you seen a guardswoman swooning over every cat she comes across? You know, the one that loves to run?”
Lola laughed, her smile lighting up the streets.
“Yes Kormak, I’ve seen that recording. There’s no way she’s real though.” Lola replied sarcastically, petting my head.
“No way huh. Well I met her. She’s cute but a total mentalcase. I feel like I should’ve tossed an Elixir C at her, but even that can cure only so many conditions.”
Lola just shook her head at my obvious pun.
“You’re terrible at jokes Kormak. Luckily you’re cute in the way that charrs sometime are.”
I grunted at her, showing my displeasure at her comment, and she simply patted my head.
“Not funny.”
A couple hours later, Lola and I were back in my workshop and I was tempering some steel for a new rifle design.
“Well maybe you should get to know her. She might be completely harmless you know.” Lola said, with a smirk.
“Maybe I should’ve left you in that bar.”
Her smirk vanished.

The thing is, no wall or gate was down, was a breakout event.

I set up some good defensive seige, and Im glad I had a chance to use it, but I am disappointed that GoM took the tower this way.

or how about the time your zerg failed twice in a row so you trebbed a paper tower? that was just as, if not more funny.

well, the game’s title is GUILD WARS. and normally pve is to be better at pvp. but since there are no guild wars…

as someone who has multiple characters with full exotics, i’m not seeing the point of pve period. what am i going to use gold for when i’m done gearing characters? legendaries have the same stats as exotics and i don’t really care about the animation that comes with it.

To be honest? No, I wouldn’t be posting about getting spawn camped. Because QQing here won’t solve anything with the spawn camping. Just use a different exit and please, for future reference, you don’t need to be so hostile to people just making friendly reminders about something that would help you.

I enjoy when there are good fights in WvW. Not this “we’re just gonna steam roll you” crap. We’re all gamers here. We’re all people here. We all just want to have fun. So how about we all stop the arguing and just play the game we all love? Get back to topics that won’t get this thread closed?

The versatility of the Mesmer is amazing. I am constantly switching traits and weapons, going from a shatter spec to a condition damage tank to a mantra build. It’s not how you trait yourself, it’s how you play with what you have.

I’m a firm believer that any build on any class can dominate in the right hands. I hope these video’s provide a small source of entertainment for those interested. Enjoy my fellow Mesmers!

There are multiple exits from spawn in every borderland… Not trying to start an argument or anything cause there’s already enough and I truly wish to just add in a friendly reminder, but any spawn camping that happens will only happen at the front exit of the spawn. Just go to one of the side exits…

To the people of Kain…

I’ve played against you for a few days now, and yes, you do outnumber HoD but…

I’ve noticed a few things that don’t seem to waiver with you. You don’t actually use tactics as much as you use patterns.

From a military point of view, patterns will eventually be your demise.

If your pattern is broken, the group seems to be lost and tend to run away. Upon return to the same fight, they bring extra people and then the pattern repeats itself. There is no difficulty finding a Ballista or Treb when it’s always placed in the same spot thus again making it a pattern not a tactic. There is no difficulty finding 25+ people huddled together behind a building waiting to portal bomb a single player when it’s become a pattern.

These are a few examples of actual things done in 3 nights of playing this week against HoD when I’ve been involved in the fight.

This post is meant to be constructive criticism and not a slam.

We noticed this @ Godsword, put up 3 trebs and minutes later the badges started rolling in.

I killed your trebs at godsword, Nice placement inside your spawn though, I was pretty hard to target the second one when we had to use AC to take it out.

I’d like to point out to GoM complaing about transfers, I’ve seen a few old familiar guild names from higher tiers appear of the last day or so.
